The least expensive rates for electricity and gas in the state. 10% discount if you pay on time on top.... what more can you ask out of a utility?

HG&E customer service is unparalleled among utility companies. Just had a very complicated situation with tenants paying the wrong bills and Liz was able to get to the bottom of it and credit all the right charges to the right people. Service folks in the field are just as amazing when is comes to accessing buildings and servicing heating equipment. Go HG&E!

It would be nice if they post more detailed information when the lights go out.

I really hate this company. You can be on a payment plan with them and I swear after a certain amount of months you will randomly get shut off and when you go to see why they dont have the payment plan on file no more .. I also feel like my bill is higher then what it should be . I know some people who live in houses and their bill isnt as high as mines ..

If you have a child under 12 they cant shutoff your electric and if you are disabled i was reading on the bill. Its not good when fuel assistance made a mistake approved me and then I asked why is it going to the electric company because thats never happened before and then they denied and took the $525 back from the electric company so then the electric company sent me a shutoff notice so i payed more then half and 9 days later only a balance of $112 they want to send me a shutoff notice unbelievable. What happened to me should be against the law .

Power outage this am. Called the number to report it . On hold for 20 min no response. Called back.....same thing, never heard of an electric company that is closed in the off hours. What a joke.
