Started off as a good experience. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their products but went down hill almost immediately. Had a gentleman come late for the measure of our bathroom he was very nice, was told we would hear from a tile guy within 48 hours it was over a week when we had to call back to the store to find out our information never got sent, still didnt hear from the tile guy for almost a week. The gentleman for the tile finally came out and we were told he would have his information over to the store the following week we went to the store and called leaving multiple messages to never hear anything. It has been weeks and have not even received a call after all of our contact attempts. The staff was very polite but we will NOT be coming back and would not reccomend them.

We have been using American Flooring Holt for many years. Most recently, we needed to replace some carpet for a relative with lower profile handicap conducive carpeting.From our interactions with the owner, Doug, to our sales consultant, Jeremy, right to the installers, it was effortless as usual. They were prompt for all appointments, responsive to questions, and delivered a highly competitive quote. Sometimes, after an installation of any kind, you are finding things wrong as the days go on, but this is not the case with American Flooring. Holt. They do the job right, the first time, at a fair price!

The flooring installer Jerry seemed to think that this was perfectly all right as a complete installation of my toilet after laying the floor. Jeremy, from the store, told me that he would have someone out to fix it and I waited over a week. When the time was set I get a call from Jerry saying that he cant make it... he is independent and shouldnt have been scheduled by Jeremy. Jerry even argued that this should be perfectly all right as a final installation. He never apologized. I got mad at Jerry on the phone and within a half hour someone from the store was at my door to fix what Jerry had done. It took them 15 minutes and they were very kind, reminding me why I liked working with them. I have made a note that if/when I do buy more flooring, to make sure I dont get Jerry as an installer. Tell me, would this be all right with any of you?

Jeremy (at the store) was amazing to work with. Our only issue was the installers did not wear masks or ask if they should. I believe when you enter someone’s home during a pandemic you would follow the public safety guidelines.

My husband and I are eyeballs deep in a 1969 full house renovation of our new dream home. Weve had amazing contractors - mainly through word of mouth. These guys DO NOT disappoint. Doug and Jeremy are such a pleasure to work with-fun, personable, helpful, affordable. They continue to go the extra mile even with my sorry budget! The office is super responsive to phone calls and questions. I can always reach other staff who are just as pleasant and helpful such as Shane or Ted. The installers are real pros, pay attention to detail and will leave your house looking incredible. I look forward to working with them as we work through our reno stages. :)

To cut to the chase: Deadlines blown, wrong product ordered, installers had to return THREE times to correct problems, no interest from owner Doug or others to make it right. I would avoid American Flooring Holt at ALL costs. When things dont go right, they dont own up to their mistakes or make things right.The details: One of the WORST experiences Ive ever had with a home contractor/service. I should have turned around and hightailed it when I first walked in their front door during the pandemic. They arent following any health orders/guidelines meant to keep themselves/employees/customers safe. Says a lot about how they value/treat customers. But I ignored my better instinct and found a kitchen flooring product I liked. Product was delivered to their store pretty quickly, but I had to wait sometime for install. (And I insisted installers wear masks in my house and they did for the most part.) Install delay was understandable, but meanwhile, they didnt bother to verify that the correct product had been delivered, and overall, communication with them has been atrocious. The night before my scheduled install date they finally opened the boxes and discovered that the wrong flooring product had been ordered/delivered. The further delay installing flooring in my kitchen cost me hundreds of dollars in additional expenses due to not being able to use my kitchen, having to order takeout to feed my family, etc. Their reaction, Tough shi**. This was only the beginning of the problems. It was a relatively small job, which they promised would take no more than two days, and after the initial delay, said theyd get it done in ONE. Most of the job was done day one, but they had to come back. And then on the second day, they ran out of product that theyd under-ordered. Multiple days later, after they ordered more product, job was finished while I was at work. I got home from work only to discover that there was shoddy install work that needed to be corrected, trim that wasnt installed, etc. So they had to come back for a fourth day. They finished the job and I went to take the extra flooring that was left over down to my basement. Store nose that they installed on their second visit failed as I walked down stairs, I nearly feel down stairs, pulled muscles in my leg and back, and am still, almost a week later, experiencing pain as a result. A transition between rooms is also loose. Now job still isnt done and their installer has to come out for the FIFTH time, cutting into my time and ability to earn a living. I love the flooring product and parts of install that were done correctly seem great. But there has been ZERO customer service, concern for the direct cost and inconvenience American Floorings mistakes/mismanagement has cost me, etc. I hope they standby their work with my existing project, as I am already too invested. But I would NEVER do business with American Flooring Holt, again.

They are great at communicating what to expect through the process and their installers are top notch! I would never go anywhere else for flooring, they exceed my expectations. Our floors were just finished, we worked with Ted through the whole process and it was a great experience, customer service was second to none. The installation was done by Greg, he was very professional and did a fantastic job.

I dealt with the owner of the business, which is in itself, a rarity. He helped us select the product we were looking for and came out and personally measured my project. At the end of the appointment, we had a sales contract and the process was put into motion. He kept in contact during the project, which out of complexity, ran over the original schedule. The installer was very careful and considerate, as we were living there during the installation. All I can say is, WOW! The product is perfect and exactly what we wanted. The installation went well and was done with expert care. I would recommend American Flooring to anyone who is looking to have their floors replaced. I’ve used American Flooring 3 times in 2020 for my business in rentals & flips.Great prices, lead times accurate and customer service and communication always a 10/10. In any business there are always hiccups it’s inevitable that issues will happen, it’s not about having issues, it’s how they are handled and dealt with.American Flooring isn’t a manufacturing company, they sell other companies products. I’ve used other companies in the past and honestly can say there is no reason for me to buy my carpeting elsewhere.Price isn’t the only reason to buy and so long as the prices are comparable to the competition - communication & customer support are my priority

Visited American Flooring after getting estimates from a couple of other places. I hadnt anticipated that Id need to replace my carpets, so I didnt have much of a budget....These guys were great from start to finish.They helped me find something in my price range that didnt feel like it was going to fall apart immediately. They came out the next day, and gave me an official quote a couple of days later (this was during a holiday week).The carpet was installed today and Im very happy! My new house doesnt feel like someone elses space anymore.

I specifically wanted to buy from this store after the wonderful experience I had. When I went in the first time I was greeted by the best! Jeremey was phenomenal in finding me what I wanted in my price range, and then the owner came to make sure I was being taken care of. When I went back to purchase, again both the owner and jeremey took care of me and gave me a great deal! Once my product was in they called to set up the install. Installation guys were super nice and I really appreciated their kindness, my littles were really interested in what was going on and the guys were great with them letting them watch and ask questions!

Poor organization -I had to help sort through the pallet of material to find my stuff. They kept asking, is this yours? It shouldnt take 20 minutes to pickup a small order.Poor estimation -I provided all measurements for the job (a small shower) and they figured the material. I ended up using 3 cases of tile, and they had me order 5. Of course, they are non-refundable.

I just bought a new home and was interested in purchasing new wood flooring for the entire house. I went to the American Flooring store in Holt to check out some samples, and to get some pricing. The salesman working was unable to answer the most basic questions about the product, and upon further questioning admitted he was the warehouse worker, left alone to operate the store. He was so unequipped to help customers, I felt embarrassed for the poor guy. Whoever is in charge at that store needs to rethink their staffing options and soon! I had to go to the competition to make my purchase, which ended up being over $10k.

Absolutely worst company ever! Did not have my floor ready when they said they would. The owner DID NOT return my call a few different times. Then when the workers showed up to do my floor they DID NOT do what I paid for! And told me it was NOT needed! And I had already paid for it. I would NEVER work with this company again!

American Flooring company is awful! They came to deliver carpet last week and brought the wrong size carpet. My daughters bedroom had exposed sharp end up nails all around the perimeter for over a week now due to their ordering error. Huge inconvenience to have the room torn apart and harm risk with all the nails. They were supposed to be at the house at 9 AM today with the correct size carpet and guess what they didn’t show!

They went above and beyond answering questions for me (a do it yourselfer) after honoring a mismarked price ($5/sq. ft. Low) on a almost 500 square feet of flooring. I would absolutely refer people to them!!
