Went here after my husband having a wonderful experience. Having long, thick hair I am usually hesitant about going to such affordable salons, BUT Donna at Fantastic Sams did such a good job. It had been over a year since my last hair cut and she was so meticulous about getting all my ends fresh! Not only was the haircut amazing, but the experience for the price is so worth it. It was a mini pampering session of a thorough wash, cut and blow dry. I will definitely return here along with my family.

I went with a friend, who wanted me to watch & be sure that the stylist did as requested. I had 1/2 of the stitches removed from my feet today, and was given permission to take a shower! (Glory Hallelujah!!) But I was told to make it a quick shower, so I had the brilliant idea to get a wash and comb. The woman who washed my hair did a good job - it felt wonderful!The stylist who cut my friends hair did a great job! She listened to what we told her, and followed my friends wants/wishes/desires. She wasnt offended when she was told that the sides needed to be matching, but whipped her scissors back out of her pocket and made them match. She did not object to rinsing my friends hair after the cut (it results in far less discarded hair on the neck and down the back.)All in all, a very successful trip.

8-18-20 Had my haircut at the Holt salon today. There is a note on the large window saying you have to wear a mask. I had mine on. Upon entering there were 2 women cutting hair. Both had masks on but NEITHER of them were wearing over their noses. Asked them o do so. She did for a minute then pulled it down again. Advised them I was a nurse and that noses and mouths are CONNECTED and if you breathe out of your mouth OR your nose you could still be infecting someone. Neither one would keep the mask over their noses. It defeats the purpose of wearing a mask if you only 1/2 wear it.

I went to get my son a haircut. Well I sat there for 1hr and 15min before my son could even get a chance to sit in the chair. My son is only 3 years old and this lady just rushed it and was so incredibly impatient. Not one of the hairstylists talked to me and told me I was supposed to sign in. I’ve never had service like this and on top of it my sons haircut looks uneven and awful. I’ve never in my life went to hair hair cutting place and regretted it this much! I recommend if you or your child need a haircut go elsewhere. It would have been nice to be a returning customer but I just don’t see it happening due to how these employees are. Don’t get your haircut by Donna !

Staff were really nice. Got a haircut, full dye (hair just below the shoulders) and eyebrows done for under $100. Salon was not busy early Sat morning either so it was perfect.

Went in, and the lady at the counter completely ignored me, so I left. Came back ten minutes later and they shouted from the back to sign in. Never gave me any indication of how long the wait would be (lobby was empty when I got there). Left after waiting 20 minutes with no communication.

Horrible place to go!!! They cut my sons hair when he got home I had to fix it for him. It was so uneven I cant believe they let him go like that! WASTE of money. And one of the managers was VERY rude when I called to complain!

Went there Monday. I asked for a high fade. I got zero fade. I asked the lady to leave the top 1.5 inches long because I like to spike the entire top. The front is long, but the back is maybe .5 inches. 100% unspikeable.Then I had to go to their bathroom afterwards to clean the mess of hair clippings off my face and neck before leaving. AND THEN when I didnt tip the lady acted offended.Im sorry, when you dont give me the haircut I asked for, how do you expect a tip? Learn to listen. Learn to cut hair.I wish I could remember the ladys name to leave it here so others could avoid her like the plague. When she speaks you can barely understand her. She has a sort of country accent. If she wants to cut your hair, RUN!When I got home I had to trim my own hair in a couple spots that were screwed up. Im glad I get simple guy cuts that grow back out in a couple months.

Ive been going here for years. Staff changes once in a while, but the service is pretty consistent. Ill admit I wouldnt go here for a special event cut, like for a wedding. However, this location works great for an everyday standard cut.

Roll the dice on what kind of haircut you get. 1 time they are awesome the next time not so much. The ladies seem nice and they are usually quick to get you in. I can forgive some of the inconsistancy because the price is right. If the price gets much higher I would go else where.

My daughter tried an experiment with her hair, as 17yr old girls often do. Needless to say the self bleaching did not work out. Since this Salon was open, and does walk in appointments. I figured in this emergency situation, why not stop by, and get help with this. Clearly I was willing to do whatever and pay whatever price to resolve this issue. The lady who colored my daughters hair did the best she could. I am grateful for that. She was patient and didn’t say much but you could tell she wasn’t pleased about having to fix it. She remained professional. However the young “lady” who works there and I assume is the manager, acted rude and absolutely ridiculous towards my daughter. It took everything for me to sit there and tolerate her disgusting behavior. At one point she even told my daughter that her hair was just nasty, and that my daughter was emotionally draining her! It took every ounce of my human dignity to keep calm. If being a hair stylist is emotionally draining on you my dear, maybe you need to find an alternative career. Never going back there! Absolutely astonished that a hideously behaving “girl” like that would be allowed to keep employment dealing with customer service and clients. It was emotionally exhausting to sit there and tolerate your behavior, tone, and rude remarks! Absolute Garbage!

My son was gettin good haircuts so I thought I would try her. Well I made a big step and cut it off.I show her what I wanted and It didnt come out that way. I didnt have someone for color so I tryed her again. Am I stupid yes.Well I know how much it cost me at aveda in east lansing but fantastic sams come on 100 + tip and she wrote it up that I had a hair cut. No cut and went out the door looking like Elvis. She was leaving for the day i was the last one. No style. Or blow dry and didnt remove the dark brown from my face omg. I had sideburns went to my sons school embarassed. friendly service no way!!! Help i need someone to fix my hair
