Mike is a very knowledgeable and esperienced mechanic and cares about each every customers best interests. He truly is set apart and above any mechanic I been to in Miami. He gets life and understands life isnt always fair. Mike will always treat u fair and honestly. He, his shop and his mechanics are A number one in my book! Hell always get my business!

We worked with mike for our Chevy van and spend upwards of $3,000 to get this van fine tuned and our van won’t even start up right now. I am appalled that they could call themselves professionals here. When someone pays that much money, you except the car to be working just fine. I do not recommend using this shop! There are other shops nearby that have better quality work at the same value.

I got a groupon for oil change WITH tire rotation from this place for a reason! Only reason was it included tire rotation and I hadnt done it for years!! I always make sure to take a picture of my tires before I take it for a rotation. All my tires have different marks so I can differentiate only by looking at a pic. After they were done, I made sure to ask them if they did tire rotation and they said YES very quickly! But later when I checked, the tire were on the same place, NO TIRE ROTATION WAS DONE! I cant believe they lied to a customer!! This was my 1st and LAST time at this place. Save yourself from this lying place!!!! If I could, I would give this place a zero star!

Honestly feel like I paid to much . He said it’s an expensive car but all’s I wanted to do was get the engine check light off . Took weeks. Paid over 1000 and a lot of hidden fees in the prices . Says he “don’t have to tell you the hidden prices by law” has another guy in the building that presses you to get things done to the car . Very rude . I give this place a 5 stars for the lady in the front but the owner and his guy tells half stories .

I Would Highly Recommend Going to Mikes Great Bear Auto Shop. They were able to help me with my insurance claims they came to my house to pick up my car and sent me a rental car. I tried to deal with my insurance and it wasted 3 hours of my time over the phone. I decided to look for a shop and found Mikes Great Bear gave them a call. Spoke to a gentleman named Mike and he was kind enough to handle the the part with my insurance and had a tow truck sent to me directly with a rental car pick service. S I bought a used car from Mikes great Auto. They work with me until I paid the car off and they made sure that the car was running well. I didnt have any issues although my timing belt was an issue but they great but they agreed to make it right for me so I could get back and forth to work.

I highly recommend Mikes Great Bear Auto. Mike and his staff did a great job and was always made sure that my mothers vehicle was safe on the road. The final cost was a little higher than the estimate but lower than my initial thought of a broken axle. We discussed a lower option that would not have been as safe and I went with the higher option. I understand that an estimate is only an estimate and that unforeseen changes can make that estimate higher than quoted. We have been taking our cars here for 17 years because we trust them to tell us what we need to keep our cars running well. We tend to keep our cars over 10 years, and we have never had any major engine or transmission problems. They have never sold us anything we didnt need. Their prices are reasonable, and the work is done within the estimated timeframe.

I took my car here because it was recommended by AAA. I have to say that it was a positive experience. I took my car in on a Thursday afternoon. I was told, after they checked my car, that I would need to leave it overnight. I was offered a ride home by the mechanic who was servicing my car. The next day I was called by Mike who explained what was wrong with with my car and the alternatives I had. I decided to have it repaired. He said he would call when jt was ready. He was up front and honest about the options and the cost. I think it was reasonable, considering all the work that was done.The only reason Im not giving five stars is that they send you a text with a link that supposedly indicates the status of your repair, but it really didnt work. My car was ready, but it just kept saying Status update pending or something like that. Although they called to say my car was ready, I was having trouble with my phone (I had to replace it) and never saw the missed calls. Anyway, I finally picked up my car and its running great!

They charged me $114 for a simple diagnosis.Told me my problem was my air compressor and that it would cost $1800+ to fix it.I went to my mechanic that came back in town and fixed the issue with only $700 (oil change and diagnosis included) it had nothing to do with my air compressor. These people are thieves and the worst part is that they come off as honest and genuine. Please don’t come here. Save your money. I’m disgusted

I usually don’t write reviews but I had such a great experience I wanted to give my thanks and appreciation. I came in late Saturday morning needing my car fixed for a road trip on Sunday to a hockey tournament. A couple of days before, my tires were making strange noises while driving. Another place replaced my tires but the noise was still there. I was worried that if I took my car on the road trip and there is a major issue with the tires, I would get into an accident. I needed to find someone to figure out the problem and get it resolved immediately. Bo figured out the problem as I was explaining the symptoms to him. He tested it and his assumption was correct. They usually close at 1 PM but he stayed late to fix the issue with my car. Not only is he knowledgeable about cars, but he is also a hard worker and dedicated to his profession. It is hard now-a-days to find people who care about their profession and not just to make money. Thank you Bo, who knows what could have happened if the issue wasn’t resolved.

Great garage and excellent service. My family and I were traveling home from Miami and the check engine light came on. We pulled in and the technician diagnosed the problem quickly. A few hours later we were on the road and we made it safely back home to NC.

I just moved here from out of state & didnt know where to take my car when it wouldnt start one morning.my neighbor Helen referred me to Mikes Great Bear Auto . She said that she has been going there for years. So i called AAA & had my car towed to Mikes. The lady in the office Barbara was very friendly & helpful and Bo the manager took his time to explain to me that he had to first check the charging and starting and then give me an answer after that was done. Turns out all i needed was a starter all done with no Hard Sell tactics.My car was repaired the same day and im very pleased . Thanks to Mikes Great Bear & Helen for sending me there.

I wasted a week taking my Jeep from shop to shop to get my check engine light off. I heard 5 different things were wrong with it from 5 different shops, and each shop wanted over 400.00 each> Then my last trip was to this shop Mikes Great Bear, and found out it was a simple idle sensor is what the mechanic told me. Very happy with there honesty! Im coming back next week for a n oil change and brakes! I finally found my Jeep a new home for its repairs, and most important great service and atmosphere!

Worse place I have ever been! Dont go here! They are shady. Owner doesnt know how to communicate with people! He is always right and the customer is wrong. He doesnt take the time out to explain anything to you. They take advantage of innocent women who have no clue about cars! I brought it to 2 other shops before i had found mikes great bear, no one was able to stop or fix it and i waisted money! I went there on a reference from a friend just for an oil change. During that process I received a call from the office telling me I needed to replace my serpentine belt and that it was 140 dollars 😂😂 get outta town with that price to begin with when the part is 17 dollars. So I took my car to another shop and they took off the dangerous belt and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. On the other hand the bolts for the alternator were so loose that the mechanic at the second shop told me he could unscrew it with his hand and that he felt as if someone loosened it to cause damage in the near future. All in all this place seemed very very shady and lied to try and screw innocent people who dont know anything about cars but luckily I went for a second option so to you Mikes auto I bid you a good day and F you

Just a thanks to all the staff here again! My check engine light would not come off, i brought my car 4 places and i wasted so much money because none of them fixed it where it stayed off. My check engine light has been off for weeks now! It was also running terrible when the check engine light was on and i need my car for my kids especially! Its still running great! Ill be in soon for my normal oil changes from now on!!

I took my car for lyft inspection, I was told that I needed new tires. I agreed. Then I was told that my car was ready, the price I was quoted included alignment. I saw that the alignment was not performed, even though they told me my car was ready, I paid most of my bill in cash the rest with a debit card, I asked for a refund for the alignment that was not performed, but was told that there will be no cash refund. Mike was a nice guy, unfortunately he was not very honest, had I not noticed that the alignment wasnt done, I would have paid for a service that wasnt delivered. Just a shame, now I have to wait for my refund.

The owner is a complete joke.. All about the money... Im his neibor and asked him to just give me a boast bc my battery was dead and he asked me for $20. Nice staff... Feel bad they work for such a money hungry man.

I was reffered by AAA as well. I think alot of those 1 stars must be fake because the mechanics actually saved me money and told me alternatives to my transmission that was slipping. He said instead of spending 2500 on a new transmission, he charged me 60$ to a good additive that would give me another year or 2 out of the transmission. I think that was an honest move. Thank you all for not taking advantage of me.

I took my car there with AAA for the alternator belt that broke, and the owner were saying that the alternator was not good anymore and it was fine and they were charging me 500$ and I was telling them that I just need a new belt, and for the new belt was charging me 400.. at the end of the day he got low to 180 and want it cash.. just for a belt

I got HUSTLED. Went in for fuel induction and to clean the fuel system with the smoke liquid, gave me an estimate of $169 dollars for the work, then told me my power streering line has a leak and it needed to be changed, i said ok replace it . My car spent three days at the and it came from $169 and jumped to than half a grand. Do your research and STAY AWAY

Just to share my experience, i usually only would write a review if i was really upset, or really happy. I felt like this place mikes bear, went out of there way to make sure my car was fixed right. They even took my car out for a test ride to make sure the banging loud noise was gone when my car shifted. I had a previous service center that could not fix it, but this place really knew how to fix this issue. In my apriciation, hope all others customers can know you guys are for real.

I got Ripped Off! Im very disappointed. Got call with an original estimate of about $1100. When I refused to do the repair he called me back and said he figured out way he could fix the car for 1/2 the price. So I gave ok! That sounded greaI! Next day after I picked up car, the car broke down again while I was driving to work. Took it back to Mikes again. And was told by Bo, he was not sure what problem was but I should go ahead and do the rest of work that needed to be done for the $1100. This is after they already tricked me into paying $600. They nickel n dime me for alot of things on the car but never fixed the real problem. They lied to me so they could take my money. Now I still have a broke down car and lost $600. Word of advice to Mikes Auto, dont offer to fix for less $ if you know you cant. Dont lie! I would have respected your business and still been a loyal customer.

Found them on google when i just needed an oil change and spark plugs. I thought they staff was very nice and honest. They did tell me the same thing as that other bad review about the guys timing belt, but they actually let me look at my belt, and id have to say my belt looked like it was ready to rip apart. I dont know why some people are so rude and unhappy to say bad things, but if a mechanic says you need a belt, you need a belt, i saw for myself! I just am writing this becausae i felt like it was my own son or something working on my car, very happy! Ps to the owners i bet that guys timing belt broke, and hope he messed up his engine! Karma sucks, i think you are one of the few good shops left around here, thanks again guys!

Perhaps nobody cares about an online review of a mechanic, but I’ll write one anyway. I’ve been to this place for a visual checkup of my car, that was required by an auto insurance company at the sign-up. Apparently the insurance company (a major one) had agreement with a list of shops, and Mike’s Big Bear was one of them in my area.I stopped by one morning, they simply told me they don’t know how long the wait was, they’ve had to serve their “paid” customers first, and if any new customer arrives while I wait, I would need to give up my place in the line, and continue to wait even longer. They wouldn’t let me make a reservation for future time and date, they wouldn’t let me call ahead or check if the shop is available, they wouldn’t even tell me what is the best time to come back.I ended up going to another shop on the approved list. It literally took 2 minutes to complete the checkup. It’s just visual checkup, and filling a paper work with my car’s information. I guess Mike’s Big Bear is not too concerned about his shops reputation.

My honda broke down, timing belt actually broke the dealer said! The honda dealer said i bent my valve, and needed a new head on the car. Wanted over 3,000 to fix it. I was skeptical, i found mikes bear online, read some good things, so i brought it in. They said yes the timing belt was broken, but he did a test where he said all my valves were ok. I couldnt believe how honest the mechanic Bo was, i ended up spending less than 900 and was on my way. This place was more than fair and worth the wait!! They were busy when i went it took a little while, but i understood!!

I Had read some past reviews about this place, and most was good and i had the same situation where my insurance was giving me a checkup on my honda accord due to an accident and it was making a weird noise. I only waited 10 minutes until i was served and they were really busy. I was amazed how smooth everything went. Come to find out i had a bad wheel bearing on my front right tire. Bo was the gentleman who helped me, who seemed very well educated in mechanics.Overall i usually dont write reviews, but the service was that good, and i had brought my car to 4 other shops that all told me it was my transmission that was bad! Goes to show you there are a lot of shady shops around here in hollywood, and MIkes Great Bear was the only one who was honest with a 150.00 fix and i was out the door within 1 hour and my car was fixed1 Thanks again guys!

I came into this place a little ticked off, because i had my durango looked at by 3 shops that couldnt keep my check engine light off! Everyone said they had to drop my fuel tank to change a part. Bo actually replaced the sensor without droping my tank, now im actually impressed with this place is the only reason im leaving a review. Also saved me 400, i hate to swallow my pride but i give it out to this place.

I have a honda accord 2014 and out of nowhere one day it would not start in my driveway. I had it towed to a honda dealership. After 3 days they called me and said they could not figure it out and wanted to charge my 800 for 2 days labor and they did not fix anything! I was so mad because they would not release my car until i paid! They did not know what was wrong with it they said they checked everything!!I searched google for some technical repair shops until i found Mikes Great Bear. I had it towed to Mikes repair shop, and within 6 hours i got a call from the mechaninc, his name was Bo, he had fixed my car! Turned out i had an electrical wire that was shorting out against my firewall! Wow ! It costed only 350.00 and it was done! I will never go back to honda! Thanks Mikes Great Bear! five stars for you guys!
