Bought a brand new mower 6 months ago. Sure to being out of town most of the time have only used the mower 4 times. Every single time the mower clogs and floods the carb. Called and got a person who said theyd look at it but then wanted to lecture me on gasoline not being the same as it used to be. I was literally calling to upgrade the mower and going to ask if they would give me a discount on the new one considering this one is a boat anchor. We never got that far, I hung up. Im well aware of gasoline issues which is why I use non ethanol!! AS PER PROTOCOL NEVER AN APOLOGY JUST BLAME THE CUSTOMER!! I OWNED A LANDSCAPE COMPANY FOR 20 YEARS AND AM WELL AWARE OF FUEL ISSUES. AS STATED ABOVE IVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN, SO BRINGING IT IN WASNT AN OPTION. NOW IM FIRM IN MY REVIEW FROM YOUR SNIDE LITTLE RESPONSE AND WILL UPGRADE MY MOWER ELSEWHERE. ALONG WITH STEER EVERYONE THAT ASKS AWAY FROM YOUR ESTABLISHMENT. WOULD HAVE LOVED TO DO BUSINESS WITH LOCAL FOLKS BUT NOT AND BE TREATED AS IF MY BUSINESS MEANS NOTHING AND IM AN IDIOT WHEN IVE BEEN MOWING LAWNS SINCE BEFORE YOU WERE BORN!!
I brought my craftsman lawnmower to this shop to be repaired. I was told that the carburetor needed to be replaced and the blade needed to be sharpened. After the shop having the mower for a good month my husband went to pick it up. He brought it home and attempted to to mow our lawn but the mower would not even start. My husband took it back to the shop and they told him it was the carburetor and to top it off the blades were never sharpened but we paid 100.00 for the repairs that were never done. My husband left the mower there again to actually be repaired which they did. I mowed my backyard a few days ago and for the first time and it worked fine. Today I attempted to mow my front yard and the mower started making a knocking sound. I rounded the corner and the blade and bolts flew off!! My husband contacted the shop and the woman at the counter stated well that shouldnt have happened. This does not seem like a responsible community repair shop!! Im grateful it was me pushing the lawnmower and not my son!! I would not recommend their services to anyone!!
Ive been to two other lawn equipment shops in the NPR area, and I can say with hands down Holiday Mowers is the best and honest shop around. They are very knowledgeable, responsive to your needs, and not trying to rip off their customers. Great job. Looking forward to continuing doing business with them.
Don’t waste your time these people are very unprofessional and the place is just a rip off . Im just glad they didn’t charge me a storage fee while waiting for a repair. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE AND DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Before the holiday I took all 3 of my chainsaws in to get tuned up. I got them back in less than a week and in perfect time to go up to my hunting camp. I really appreciate the fast turn around guys and will be back in the future.
For quite some time now id been looking at this MS362, and the owner who I talked with multiple times said the saw would not disappoint. So yesterday i finally took the plunge and bought it. Lets just say there is no disappointment here! It cuts logs like butter and i am extremely happy with its performance. Thanks guys for the saw and the wonderful customer service.
Imagine if you spent your time on actually working instead of telling customers with bad reviews how they are wrong you might actually have a better turnaround time and less bad reviews. Imagine that.. And I am the person who called and picked up and everything you responded with is a lie.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TAKE YOUR REPAIR TO HOME DEPOT. IT WILL SAVE YOU A HEADACHE AND A LOT OF ATTITUDE.NOW AFTER READING THIS PLEASE READ THE OWNERS RESPONSE TO MINE AND OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS IT SHOULD TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.I took My Toro in because it wouldnt start on 4/12/21. One week later they called on 4/19/21 and said it needs a new gas tank, its leaking and has leaked into my air filter. Ok.... sounds about right now what? Well we have to order one we dont have those just laying around the shop. Ok, so please order it . How long will that take? Well I dont know but we will call you. Well no call so on 4/23/21 I call again and ask has the part come in yet? They check and say yes its been here since the 20th. I say ok when can I come pick up the mower? Well it should be done on 4/26/21 but we will call you. No call on 4/26/21 so I call in the early afternoon to check on it and she says yes its the next one up and should be done by end of day. Terrific I said...well no call again so I call back since I have to leave work early because they close at five. She tells me no maybe tomorrow... I said wait I was told it would be done. She got an attitude and said we are very busy it is not done, Do you know how many mowers we have back there??? No not really and I dont care.Sooooo... if you are THAT BUSY hire more mechanics..Dont make the customer HAVE TO WAIT THAT LONG. NOT ONLY DO YOU SERVICE SMALL ENGINES BUT YOU NEED TO SERVICE PEOPLE TOO. I understand you are busy this time of year..then adjust accordingly just like every other profession does. Busy time of year ..hire people or stay open later, its not difficult. DONT TELL ME IM WRONG IT WAS MY EXPERIENCE SO JUST FIX IT.REPLY... TOTAL BS RUDE, RUDE PEOPLE
VERY nice independently owned shop, super nice people!
Rick and Cortney are hands down the best people to do business with. Knowledgeable beyond the imagination, friendly, fair priced, and they always have everything we need. Fix our saws on the fly, educate our employees on intricate details that help improve how they run saws, and the list goes on. If youre in Pinellas County, go see them... If youre in Pasco, go see them. You will not find a better company.Prove me wrong.
Drop my generator off to be checked over because it was starting hard. The girl at the desk called us when it was ready and said that they broke the pull cord because the pull cord was being caught on something. My wife who has a bad shoulder can start it with no problems. When I picked up my generator I wanted to speak to a mechanic, the service advisor said that she recommended it be put on choke twice before it was started. I was told that they dont let anybody speak to the mechanics. I had some mechanical questions. Again she said that nobody can speak to a mechanic there, she can answer any question that there is. I told her that she was not the mechanic that worked on it and I wanted to speak to the mechanic, and she told me that that was not policy. I did lawn service for 22 years and at the John dealership in New Port Richey and at the dealership in Clearwater they always let me speak to the mechanic because the service writer at the desk was not the mechanic and didnt know about the engine that was being worked on. Terrible customer service will never go there again. I also noticed that on the lower reviews that have bad ratings, they get on there and in their words berate everybody for what they do wrong. This girl told my husband she felt like hed berated her when he asked to speak to a mechanic. I thought that was our prerogative as a consumer to be able to speak to the person working on the equipment. I guess not I guess its only what they want to do.on every review it looks like that theyre getting back on and telling the customers that they were the ones that were wrong instead of saying were sorry you had this experience please come back in so we can try to resolve it but its always the customers fault and not their fault I guess. And it still takes 4 or 5 pulls to get it started after you fixed it (as it wasnt started in his presence there when he picked it up). So by talking to the mechanic who actually works on the stuff ( I was a service writer for a Pontiac dealership for 10 years and I built and drove race cars for 15 years that still didnt mean I knew everything) he would have been more satisfied by talking with the actual mechanic.
I bought my mower here 4 years ago, and they keep it in great shape considering how hard it get used. The staff is great and always friendly. If you need service this is the place!
I called needing a spool for my black and decker electric trimmer. No other shop would even give me the time of day. The girl i spoke to was so nice and was able to save me the trip of driving down and ordered my part from the model number over the phone. Its good to know there is places like this still around!
I was very shocked to see two women behind the counter when I stopped by to picked up parts for my husband. The girls were very knowledgeable and I appreciated the amiability.
I just moved from Michigan, and needed to buy everything for my new house! Thanks to Ashley for setting me up with a weed wacker with interchangeable parts. Ill be back for a 2021 mower in a few months.
I know nothing about mowers, and when mine wouldnt start i was going to buy a new one instead of going through the hassle of getting it repaired. I googled repair shops near me and holiday mower came up. I went in and was told if i wanted to get my mower repaired there was a diagnostic of $33.50 at the time of drop off, then they would call me with the estimate of the repair and any work done the diagnostic fee would go toward the total. I got a call with the estimate the very next day, and approved the repairs. Before i knew it they called me later the same day and said my mower was done. I was so thrilled to hear my mower was fixed i raced back there to pick it up. I was very happy with the service i received. They gave all the old parts back that were replaced, they even cleaned up my mower and helped me load it into my SUV. Honestly such a good experience.10/10 would definitely recommend
Im not the one to take to the internet and leave bad reviews but this place is a JOKE!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY W THESE PPL. I PROMISE YOULL WISH YOU DIDNT LATER ON....
My first time getting something fixed here was fast and affordable. I had previously used a East Richey Repair down the road but they changed hands a few years ago and the quality and attitudes have definitely tanked. The girl at Holiday were very professional, and surprisingly knowledgeable. My pressure washer was fixed and back to me in under a weeks. I have also started my wish list of all the new things I want to buy, because this shop has tons of stuff!
Today I went into holiday mower and wasnt looking to buy anything, but was curious with some questions about what they had and what might be the best fit for what I needed .The young lady was very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable and went over my options andI was very impressed with her knowledgeI then decided to buy a mower and other equipment .she made the buying process Very easy getting approved in less than 60 seconds..Ended up walking out with a brand new torro and other equipment and couldnt be happier with my purchase and experience.Ill be buying any new equipment I ever need only from holiday mower and recommend them to anyone looking for a good mower shopThanks again ....
Terrible customer service I called to ask if they had a clutch key they said yes. I dont know the model number of my motor so I asked if they can measure 1 I need a 3/16 by 1/2 inch it is literally the most common size. I am 100% sure they have it, their response was and I quote no Im not going to start measuring stuff I get that its a small sale. theyve got some of my money in the past they will not get any of my money in the future. The shop down the street had itAnd again, its literally the most common key. If you look around your shop for half I second I bet itll be the first one you see. Bottom line, rude and not helpful.
I am beside myself and need to reach out to the public to let them know about these unethical business practices and sales deception. We are a small woman owned / minority owned business and informed Holiday mower that we were brand new and starting out. We have contracts set up where we needed a mower with at least a 5-inch setting. The owner Rick, daughter Ashlea and wife Courtney advised my foreman that we needed a certain mower and would be able to come back to put a mulching kit to the must have 5-inch setting. We spent over $4,000 on this mower that is not capable of the commercial mowing we need for our business. We reached out to Holiday Mower Shop Sales & Service the day after to set an appointment to put the mulching kit on to get our desired blade height. Then the wife Courtney told us this was not possible to get to the blades lifted to the desired height and there is nothing they will do to help us other than give us $1,500 for the mover we just purchased the day before for $4,000!!! We called Toro and they would not resolve this with their vendor Holiday Mower Shop Sales & Service because they had started the mower and had put oil in the mower to ensure it ran during the purchase. We feel deceived and taken advantage of for them to make a sale knowingly that we would not be able to use this type of commercial mower which they advised us to buy and is not willing to make things right. Every time we call in to speak with the owner he will not return our calls and his daughter told my Forman off on the phone. We need this resolved immediately and would like a full credit toward the correct mower with the correct blade height that they promised this one had.
I couldnt say a bad word about this shop. I needed a carb for my weed wacker, and to be honest I didnt think the girl behind the counter would be able to find it for me. Not only did she find it, they had it in stock and it was $12 cheaper than their closest competitor. So I was pleasantly surprised and pretty sure I found my new favorite store! Thanks girls!
Im always happy with the service I receive. Ive read some of their reviews, and people will complain about anything! Those girls work themselves ragged, and they do it with a smile.
Very expensive. Brought my small push Craftsman lawn mower in for repair wound up costing me $33 for them to look at it and then they wanted to charge me $191 to repair it the lawn mower isnt even worth that much so I asked him while it was there to sharpen the blade and they said it would be a $10 fee for removing and replacing the blade and $8 to sharpen well I pick my lawn mower up and noticed that the blade was sharpened but it was never removed from the lawn mower then again giving them $10 for nothing bad business. So Im officially $43 in the hole and my lawnmower is still broke.
Very rude and arguing after getting on my lawn mower back after a month of service spending over $700 in it and the very first time using it broke again where I cant use it then the lady wants to argue with me on the phone because it took me two months to get it picked up because I didnt have the money. Very unprofessional will not be using any service there ever again
This place is great! Im a Stihl guy, and Ive bought a 311, 194T, 201TC, and a new power head for my 131 here along with a ton of chains, oils, and parts for my other machines. If you do your own work mostly, youre going to want to make this place your regular shop. They can get any part for you fairly quickly as well as they have even gone so far as to print out a schematic for me during a tough DIY repair.I had an issue recently with my new 201TC (though it was on the manufacturer end and not the shops fault), it was handled expediently and professionally while going through the warranty repair. They communicated well throughout the process with updates and reliable time frames. If youre a pro who realizes that time is money, youre going to be glad you chose to have these guys handle your equipment. You may be able to find cheaper if you spend a bit of your valuable time shopping but you will not find better.
I gotta admit I never thought I would see girls running a lawn mower shop, but Ashley helped me figure out what mower I needed. She knew her stuff too! I am now a proud new owner of a toro self propel mower. Now I wont lose my dog in my backyard grass! Ill be back for more new toys because they have TONS of things that now want to buy.
Very high prices I would never go there again! The technicians were great it just the people inside the office doubling and tripling up the price!
I have been coming here for the past couple years. I just want to say thank you, for always helping me get what i need. (Even when i come in five mins after youre closed).See you next week
Came in yesterday, jul 28th. I walked in to greet a man behind the counter to which I received nothing back. I continued ok I need a blade adapter for a b&s 20 yard machine. To which he replied. Talk to her, shell order it for youOk so she gonna have to order it ok.Thats the only way youre getting it.Ok bye 👋So I went six miles down the road to lowes, they have ten in stock with way better customer service 👍.My only question is why does a big box home improvement store have a little blade adapter and the local specialized lawn equipment dealer/store/shop doesnt have a single one? If I wanted it ordered I would have gotten it from Amazon. And maybe have an attitude adjustment ya d!ck.Couldnt even say hi. Why did you even go into work if you dislike it so much. To many ppl out of work for you to be a chooche old man.
I appreciate the knowledge the girls have. I was surprised! Brought my mother in with me and she was very impressed. I need some new yard tools and I will come back here to buy them.
Thanks for getting my mower fixed! My grass was above my knees, now my yard is pretty again! They were very helpful, and very fast! I picked my mower back up from another local shop, after it has been there for 2 weeks and brought it here. Holiday mower got it fixed in 2 DAYS!!! Thank you, thank you!!
I Stopped in for the very first time two days ago, my riding mower needed an ignition coil, they didnt have it in stock so i they ordered it for me. The part came in the very next day. Very knowledgeable and pleasant staff, I would 100% recommend them to anyone.
My old repair guy disappeared, I found this shop and just needed some service. They got my mower back to me in 2 days! Thanks for the speedy service girls (and repair guys)!
Ive been looking all over town for someone to mount my mower tires, but apparently no one does small tires in the area, except holiday mower shop. They mounted my tires in about 20 minutes. I highly recommend them. Super fast and an extremely nice place.
I took my mower to Holiday mower shop, and was extremely pleased with the work done. They gave me back all my old parts, started and ran my mower for me, and even helped me load it into my vehicle. I found out they work on generators and even pressure washers. I had a great experience and will be bringing them all my business from now on!
These guys are bandits. Gave me an estimate of more than $200 for a simple repair. They wanted to replace every part they could whether it was needed or not. Got my edger fixed for less than half that amount at CB Mower who do quality work at a fair price.
We feared that our Husqvarna 455 Rancher had suffered a chassis fuel tank leak (cracked) after years of heavy use. Our replacement of all hoses and rubber grommets -- expensive little devils through Amazon -- had not cured the problem. So, we wanted to check with an authorized Husqvarna chainsaw dealer before possibly purchasing a more sturdy, professional-grade model. While a little bit of a hike from NW Hillsborough County, we picked Holiday to give us a price on possibly replacing the chassis or selling us a heavier-duty Husqvarna. What a pleasant surprise. The front desk personnel (Courtney and Ashlea) we found to be attentive, friendly and knowledgeable -- not at all pushy or giving the air that they are too busy to be bothered. Further, the technician who checked our Rancher and could have quoted a costly repair or made a sale for the dealer, did neither. Instead, he solved the cause of the leak - my own lack of skill in replacing grommets - during his diagnosis of the problem. Superb products and employees with integrity who enjoy their work is always a winning combination in any business. Five stars fails to capture the full measure of our experience with Holidays methods of doing business. To paraphrase the Austrian actor and former governor of California: Well be back.
Never realized this place is right down the road from my house... Very neat place ! Hide my Wallet
Thank you for helping me pick out my husbands blower! He was excited when I gave it to him for Christmas!!!
Only giving one star because I have no other option this place hold me and mower two months ago for $150 with no air filter in it when taking it in because the motor was not working I was told that there was no air filter therefore the machine is garbage I explained that I did not even know where the air filter would be placed in the mower there for how would I be able to take it out of the machine and why would you replace an air filter within 2 months of only owning it I asked the shop if they could do anything for me and they stated no they are unable to help me and all they would do is argue with me would not allow me to get my money back or give me any kind of credit towards another mower I am a single mom and feel that I have been scammed I will be taking this higher as I do not have any money to purchase another mower so now I am looking at possible county code violations because Im unable to cut my grass I will be contacting your attorney general as well in this matter
The sweetest girls! They helped me find and order the Stihl battery operated mower because i just cant stand gas powered anymore. It is wonderful! I am telling all my friends about your shop! Thanks Again!!! -Patti
I brought my Toro walk behind mower in to be repaired, i was greeted by 2 very helpful women that took my mower out of my truck for me, because i recently had back surgery. I really liked that they gave me a call with an estimate on my mower before doing the repairs, however the condition and age of my mower made the repairs not worth it. Ashley then helped my find a New walk behind mower that was right in my budget.Im really glad i found this honest mower shop.
This is the hottest mower shop out there! Not only are the girls hot, but theyre extremely knowledgeable. Cant wait to come back.
My first time stopping in was awesome. I have 6 chainsaws (2 echo, 3 stihl, 1 husq) The girl had all the chains I needed in stock, and pricing was cheaper than I expected. I will definitely shop here when im working in the area.
Like many others, I dropped off my Lawn Boy self propelled for tune up and service estimate for repair. I paid $30.00 for the estimate. They had my mower for 3 days. It was running and all wheels workingWhen I dropped it off. I had just cut my grass with it. But it needed a tune up and new belt on the self propelled. They told me it would cost over $373 to repair plus tax. I could buy more than 20 different brand new self propelled lawn mowers for $300. Completely ridiculous. I asked for a copy of the repair estimate that I paid $30 for. They told me they dont give out their repair estimates. I said this is what I paid for. So the girl behind the counter hand wrote a list of items with only the total of $373 on a price of paper with no break down. Then she told me when I tried to roll my mower out to my truck that the wheels are locked up and the mower cannot be pushed. They destroyed the back wheels so they no longer work and the mower is now useless. When they did the estimate they ruined my mower and could care less when I told the girl at the counter. MY ADVICE STAY AWAY !!! As many other one star ratings. This place lacks common sense. They obviously do not care about their customers. They could have told me that it was not worth fixing withoutTaking my $30 in a few minutes. They could have told me up front that they charge $85 per hour for labor but they did not. Had they been honest and fair upfront, I may have purchased a new mower from them.Dont get ripped off. I had my veterans hat on and they totally ruined my mower and charged me $30 for the estimate. And never apologized.STAY AWAY !!First and last visit. Never again.
I bought a new demo Hustler from Holiday Mower a while ago, it had 13 hours on it. I could have purchased a new one with an extra set of blades and a free first oil change for $200 more. I wanted to keep my business with a local shop so I bought it from Holiday. I purchased the oil and filter from them to do the required service to the engine. I also bought an extra set of blades when the original ones needed sharpening. I rotate them out so the mower is not down waiting on blades to be sharpened. Today I took one set in to be sharpened and they charged me $18.75 and took them into the back. After about 30 minutes they went into the back to check on the status and told me they were pretty dull and it would be a little longer. After another 30 minutes I saw the owner and the mechanic go out front to help another customer. When they returned the owner came out and asked the girl behind the counter who sent the blades back to be sharpened, she said she did and she asked the tech if they were ok to sharpen. The owner went into the back and brought my blades back out. He told me the blades were shot and they would not sharpen them. I said I didnt know that, but his tech had already sharpened two blades and one edge of the third without telling me anything. He then walked into the back. I asked for a refund since they were not able to do what I had already paid for. The girl at the counter went to the back and returned and told me the owner was not going to give me a refund. I asked again for my refund and she did not respond. Well so much for trying to keep local small business opened. It doesnt say much for a paid professional tech that cant even tell if blades can be sharpened or not. It also doesnt say much for an owner that will loose a steady customer for $18.75 worth of his technicians poor judgment that had no parts involved. I will never recommend anyone here for any type of business. I will drive a longer distance to purchase my next mower or for a repair facility that will treat their customers fairly and admit if they make a mistake. Read the other reviews and BEWARE!!! of Holiday Mowers
Not as if there isnt room for me improvement but I got pretty fast and good experience. The staff were much cleaner and professional then I guess I was expecting from a mower/small engine repair shop. They answered my questions well enoigh and handled my husqvarna Warrenty perfectly. There were one or two communication issues but they take very well to clarification and got the job done quickly none the less.I dont love the down payment system but it goes towards your repair otherwise and Warrenties get you the deposit back completely.I will be returning over all a pretty good experience.
They do a great job of fixing things, a little high but the job get done
Thanks for getting my saw fixed! I had it at two shops previously and you guys finally got it running. Thumbs up, Ill be back.
I had my Husqvarna riding mower fixed here. I was pleased with the work done, they gave me all my old parts back, and everyone was extremely helpful. 10/10 i recommend this shop
Let me just start by saying, I normally go to Ace hardware in Tarpon Springs, and they have NO IDEA what they’re doing. It normally takes Ace an hour to find the chains I need, and often they are still wrong. I went to Holiday mower shop for the first time, and felt a little uneasy about two women being behind the counter but, they found the chains I needed in less than 2 minutes. They know their stuff and have earned my business!
If I were you I would run far, far, far away from this place! Compare Holiday Mower shops $60 estimate fee to other local shops of just $20.00. I wonder why they charge a high estimate fee, is it because people most likely leave to go elsewhere once they receive their inflated unfair market value costs to do repairs. Beware of their undisclosed fees such as battery installation (labor) of a bargain price of just only $35.00. It takes me two minutes to change out a lawnmower battery, at their rate, Id be charging $1,050 per hour. A complaint actually brought the cost down by half to about $18. Well, so whats $18, oh just over $500 per hour.Dont try to dispute any cost such as the labor to install a battery or the service manager who doesnt understand how to deal with a frustrated customer will get rude and throw insults. If youre set back by her rude insults, dont ask to speak to the owner, its like requesting to speak to the pope, not going to happen folks! If you finally give up and choose to pay and not settle a dispute, dont hand over a credit card, debit card or check at this point they will claim they dont trust you wont cancel the transaction (never thought of doing so, but interesting), and which most likely will require you to leave and come back, just to inconvenience you.Im sure that the mechanics do a good job, all the mechanics were very professional helping get my mower in and out of my trailer. David, is very polite and handles customers much, much more better than Courtney. She has some work to do in the hospitality department.Look for the local competitors, they are out there, theyve been in business much longer and they will ask much less of your wallet! Is that courney reviewing her own shop below with 5 stars?? Wow, looks just like her!
Dropped off my power washer and they fixed it right for a very reasonable cost. They explained everything well and even told me the main cause of many gasoline problem, Ethanol!!! I ride motorcycles and know that this is so true and I hate the stuff. So if you dont want to rebuild carbs every year use non ethanol gas and keep your stuff in a garage. Thanks for the good work Holiday!
Got my mower back in under a week, works great. I will be back. Thanks
Good selection of power equipment and cheaper pricing than other competitors.
I had a horrible experience dealing with this company. I paid over $30 for my lawn mower to get looked at. After 2 weeks I received an estimate for $175 to get my brand new lawn mower repaired. At that point I was not going to proceed with repairs since I can get a new machine for that price. When I went to pick up my lawn mower the owner had disposed of it with no notice!!!! Then there is no way to speak to the owner Rick. Customer service sucks. The girl have me attitude and does not try to solve any problems except for “I’ll leave a note for rick”. A note is not going to give me my machine back so hoping this review saves everyone a headache. Do not come here! Expensive and bad service.
Only place i could find 5 gallon gas cans. Thanks guys!
(honest critical review)I came here for a gasket to fit my Briggs and Stratton quantums carb so I didnt have to make my own and Im not gonna say I was in a good mood when I came in and I might of been a bit short to the one girl and guy so Ill give them the benefit of the doubt for their own shortness back BUT the real problem lies in there computer, when I told them the gasket I needed they asked for the model number of the engine to of which I told them its the gasket that fits every single quantum that has ever been made and she replied with there are many different parts for many different engines then I asked if she had a key word search and she said again need the model number so I called my dad who has a quantum on his push mower and he told me his model number and she got me one of the two gaskets and must of messed up the second one so she says she couldnt find it and asked for the model number again so I just bought the one and left. MORAL OF THE STORY (caps for attention) is they need to update their computer software to something similar to an auto parts store because whatever they got is not sufficient. Im also not trying to hate its just a suggestion.
This shop took a $111 deposit from me to repair my lawnmower. They exploded/destroyed my mower. And now expect me to pay the $78 balance. So unprofessional.
Had to have my stihl chainsaw looked at for a broken oil pump. I have no issues with their diagnosis fee as it will be applied to the repair. No issue that they wanted to charge $40 less than what I paid for the chainsaw brand new. Knowing I can get it done somewhere else at half the price, I simply asked for my chainsaw back and they can keep the diagnosis fee...My issue and reason for this 1 star review is the fact they handed me back my chainsaw torn apart, parts/peices in a bag. I politely asked for my chainsaw to be returned the way I brought it in, all attached. They said it would take them about half an hour and would have to charge me another $35.The concern I had was they never called to ask if it was okay for them to dissemble the entire chainsaw because if they did, this would be a different story. The fact they dissembled the chainsaw for their diagnosis check and refused to reassemble my chainsaw makes no sense. I already paid an diagnosis fee which should include any labor for dissembling and reassembly. If the coustmer refuses to take on their price on repairs, it should be a mutual understanding and a simple thank you for coming in. Return the product the way it was dropped off. Simple.Everyone was polite until I refused their repair price. After that, I was treated with so much disrespect just because I wanted my chainsaw back the way I dropped it off. If you are looking to have any repairs done, beware.
My HOA has been breathing down my neck because my grass was out of control The staff here got my mower fixed and back to me in the same day, and now im out of the weeds!! literally! haha Thanks guys!!
Great experience good staff and great discounts a lot of knowledge about Stihl equipment
Horrible customer service paid 1000 to fix mower belt breaks every week rude employee got a second opinion and they said they didnt fix it correctly and they charged us 30 to install a belt that broke because they sold us a belt that supposably was a bad one from the company!
This is a very good shop! with a very convenient location for my business!
Had a great experience here. Wonderful service and quickly. I would recommend to anyone needing their services.
Want 29.99$ diagnostic fee to fix a pull string....three screws removed to put in a 2 foot string. In response to the owner. My question was for a blower string. So your 29.50 fee was going to go toward a 5$ string and labor. No worries I used an amazing repair shop in Pinellas Park. I called. He advised “oh you got a bad pull cord...bring it by 10$” and showed up and repaired it in 5 mins.
My little Craftsman Weed Eater wouldnt start. So I went out and I bought a brand new spark plug from Tractor Supply I try to start it but it still wouldnt start. Not being a mechanic I took it into holiday mower shop and paid the $33 for the diagnostic. They call me back a few days later telling me its going to be $160 to fix it. (The thing only cost 180new.)As they start reading off the parts that I need the first thing they read off is a new spark plug. Anyone whos not an idiot would know that the spark plug was brand new in there. It was never run with the spark plug. Sorry this is an integrity issue. I dont play these games.
Saturday is my only day i have available to get stuff done, so i am so thrilled i found a mower shop that is open on Saturdays!
First time bringing my machinery here, brought my generator in and paid a rush fee to get it worked on right away, got it back the next day. Very happy that my generator is up and running with this storm coming.
I purchased a used lawn mower for 150.00 they said it was all checked out and rebuilt. The sales girls were very sweet and nice until the next day after i got it home there was a gas leak they said bring it in. They checked it for under 5 minutes and said everything was fine I said no it wasnt. They walked me out to my car to get me out of the place. When i got home i noticed a active leak with the gas i callled them again and the girl hung up the phone on me. Very rude people never recommend using them. They are very nice until there us an issue then they turn rude.
I finally found a shop that does what they say they will do. Good job to the girls at the front, they know their stuff! Lots a machines to pick from too, ill be back for my next mower purchase!
I have had nothing but terrific service before and after the sale. I find them knowledgeable of the product. I was informed when purchasing the Husqvarna brand if you purchase the pre mixed fuel it doubles your warranty. Whats not to like about that. I looked them up instead of going to a big box store, glad I did. Since I have owned a service based business for 24 years Im nearly impossible to please because of what standards of service I deliver. Lastly how many businesses do you recall where they remember your name when you talk to them???????? She does.
Good people. Do fast repair.
Called in to get a repair estimate, was told it is $65 to give it a diagnostic and that is applied to any repair work done on the mower. The problem is that the mower just needs a simple seat safety switch replaced which is maybe 20 min tops for somebody with experience (which is not me) and the switch is like $15 to buy so basically the vibe I got from my call was that if your problem isnt large enough to cost you more than the base $65 then theyre not interested in your business.Maybe I am mistaken about it all but my gut tells me I am not.
Took an engine to them that was stalling after a few minutes of use.Still under factory warranty. Paid 70 bucks for a diagnostic fee. Was told I needed a new carb, 2 fuel lines(I only have 1 approx. 8), 2 spark plugs(again I only have 1-not sure where they were sticking the other one), air cleaner(which was just replaced), valve adjustment and oil change. All coming to over $300 and none of it was covered under warrant. Based on their professional dignostics, told them to go ahead with the work and paid for it, in full. Was told the carb was back ordered and would be several weeks before it would come in and to pick up my machine until then. Got home and looked at the engine myself and found a found a ground wire that was worn through and shorting out. Fixed the bad wire and the engine ran perfectly with no stalls for several hours and is still running perfectly afer over 30 hrs of use. Called Courtney and told her what I found and to cancel the carb(which still had not been shipped) She stated that it was impossible and the order could not be stopped. It was the same day she ordered it and part was still back ordered and hadnt shipped. I told her that I did not want them to do any of the work and wanted a refund. She said she couldnt give me a refund until she spoke with the owner who she stated was never around and very hard to get a hold of. The owner is her husband by the way. After 2 days and no response I went back to the shop and was told that they still would not issue me a refund for the parts that were not giving to me and the labor for installing them which was never done! I didnt even want a refund for the professional diagnostic fee which was the ONLY thing that they had done. Even though they totally missed diagnosed the engine and not one thing they were charging me for would have fixed it. Finally had to contact my credit card company and file a dispute for the charges. Stay far away from this shop. read the other reviews and youll see that I am not the only one they have tried to scam. Bottom line is that they WILL lie to you, they WILL try to sell you parts that you dont need And they WILL rip you off.
My mower is all and ready to go for the spring/summer. Thanks for the speedy speedy service!! ;-)
These folks are awesome, i have been in there several time because i own a lawn business. They have always been kind and professional to me or any of my crew. When i need a part they order it, tell me when its in and have never had a problem ordering parts. Thanks yall for being there for me. In fact ill be there today to have a tire replaced on my toro
Place is open in Saturdays, very quick, great staff, knowledgeable.
It’s like power equipment and mower heaven! Great place
I always get the correct chains the first time, great prices, great place.
Went here to pick up a cable for my lawn mower. The staff was very helpful in locating the part. Looking forward to getting parts from them again.
Great experience again. Knowledgeable staff and fair prices. .
Best mower shop around hands down. The staff there will treat like family. They have always treated me Great, any parts you need and do not have they can order. This is the only shop I will go to.Does not matter what mower you have they will help you !!!!!!!!
My husband took a chainsaw to be cleaned and put on a new chain. Ten minutes later, all done with a friendly smile. While waiting he received all the info he needed to select a professional grade piece of equipment that we need for our hobby farm in Odessa. The husband and wife owners were very pleasant and low key, no pressure, and very knowledgeable. He found the place through word of mouth, well... Ihe says he wouldnt hesitate to recommend it highly.Heres my 12,/10/19 update: I needed blades replacement and a couple of other things done on my 46 deck Cub Cadet. Holiday Mower Shop took care of it in record time. I picked up my riding mower today and its all good. So, yeah, Im very happy with the service, the staff and the easy access location next door to Home Depot where I purchased the mower. By the way, Holiday Mower will service the Cub and repair the Kohler motor under warranty or not. I will never go back to the Cub Cadet dealer in Hudson. Too long getting EOM parts and not a friendly service. So, once again, Im definitely recommending Holiday mower Shop in Holiday.
Do not take anything there for service they are a RIP off have you buy parts you dont need and dont fix the problem then you take it back and tell them they didnt fix it they want to charge to look at it again when they gave it to you not repaired the right the first time with in a couple of hours so go there if you like giving money away
This shop is very much a rip-off. $30 diagnostic fee that is a just because you brought it in the door fee. Charged $7.50 shop fee with no explanation. Charged $15.00 Shipping and Handling to order a small part, which is what a FedEx overnight package costs, except it took them 7-days to even order my part and another 8 days to receive it. My mower was there for 16 days for a minor repair. The shop is ran by 3-young girls (not women) who I can tell have never worked on a mower in their life. Trust me, you need to look elsewhere for small engine repairs. They have a 2-gallon jug of weed killer on the counter that they want $99.00 for just to give you an idea of how overpriced their items are. Do yourself a real big favor and find a shop that has men at the front desk and who doesnt try to hit you for every little charge they can dream up.
Nice people and reasonable prices. I will definitely use this mower shop again.
Great people great store very well-educated look forward to doing more business with them
Only place around I could find to change my small tires for my riding lawn mower. Nice place and they changed my tires right as I was waiting.
Absolutely horrible service. I took in a pressure washer that needed the pull cord fixed and I paid $43.00. They called me a hour later telling me the spring was broke and it was another $27.00. I went to pick up today and was told it was now $54.00. I asked why and was told there was additional labor needed and the shipping cost. Girl was very rude and I will never go back. If you use them make sure you get all pricing in writing.
How much for an estimate? Lawnmower self propelled. Troy bilt. One year old. Starts them quits.
Went in 2 different times and the lady behind the counter was not knowledgeable on products. I needed a spring for my sthil weed eater and she couldnt find the product and told she wasnt able to help me. I was also looking for a replacement part for a carburetor and she stated that they would have to order because they didnt have that in stock but never tells me a price or any details. For being a sales person behind the counter you would think that would be a sale right there but I went to Everglades Equipement and the men in there got my sale of two products at that time. I will not waste my time going back to Holiday even though its closer for me. Good luck on getting products or replacements at this location. Just hope the owner knows whats going on even after adding Sthil products to the lineup which was a huge plus I thought because thats the only thing I use for my Lawn Care.
