Unique and challenging course, but still didnt lose any balls!

Holbrook country club is a great place to play Golf. Beautiful course and good hole location. Fairways and green are in good shape and well maintained. On weekend 18 hole play fees is 46.00 dollars including cart. Very reasonable price if you compare to other golf clubs. They also have practice range with reasonable price. Fresh water with cups provided on some holes and Cart girl making round to provide some refreshments. Beautiful courseThis location also has bar and banquet hall to celebrate some of your occasions.Staff is very nice and helpful. Bartenders are very nice and attentive.Definitely will go back to play my next round of golf.

Great place, loved the greens although they were a little worn out. Only complaint is the people that golf there, I met a man in jets attire who looked as if he hasn’t been laid in 2 years, unruly and truly obnoxious didn’t know how to golf and told me his cow of a wife was having an affair, anyway that’s none of my business just can’t believe the people you let golf there it used to be a county club now we allow middle age mid life crisis wannabe mafiosos ruin the experience for everyone else. I would give 5 stars if that man stopped writing reviews and fixed his atrocious golf game but highly would recommend this place!

Nice little course with lots of trees good practice course.

Older gentleman working the desk at the golf course was completely unwelcoming, rude, and seemed miserable that he even had to be there. The entire encounter was awkward and rude, constantly huffing and puffing and seemed bothered to actually have to work. Greens were sub par, the rough was extremely thick, and they were running the sprinklers on the course all day so it was a huge inconvenience when trying to shoot from the fairway. Having to dodge the sprinklers to get to your ball in time and back to your cart without getting wet is not ideal when your paying a $24 cart fee alone. Needless to say I will not be coming back.

Went to catered event...WOW. Impressed beyond belief. Assume Trio does the catering, food and service were excellent.

Would be 5 star if restrooms by fields were ever unlocked

I recently to the Country Club for a wedding and for me it was more than a well presentable to host any family event.

Not taken care of. Fields and courts in bad shape. Town of Islip should be embarrassed.

I book the banquet room for my daughters wedding reception. Even with 150 people the room was well layout, spacious, and clean. The staff where friendly, very accommodating, and made everyone feel welcome. The food was delicious and the portions generous. The dance floor to was spacious . And even with a open bar no one had problems getting there drinks. Thank you Holbrook Country Club for making our special day grand, and wonderful.

Great spot good golf and if you are putting on a catered affair, affordable and recommended. Holbrook Chamber of Commerce meets there regularly. Nice place and good food and service.

We mostly come here for the kids playground and the tennis courts. Both are good. Though the tennis courts could use some resurfacing. The restroom at the playground is also a porta potty, a very big minus at a place for kids.

Amazing for a Suffolk County course. $50 bucks gets you 18 plus a newly upgraded golf cart. The new grounds manager has done a fine job of making this course beautiful. If you havent been back here recently, it has really improved!

An old course that is a little rough around the edges as would be expected. Fairways and greens in great shape. Greens are a bit slow. drinking water provided on the course and cart girl showed up once during our round.

Good golf course. Price is fair. Greens are well cared for. Sand traps are usually raked out. Never had a problem with getting a tee time as long as you plan in advance. Dont think youll be able to play in 4hrs though. Typically it takes 5 unless you are one of the first groups out, or late in the day

I was there for our monthly Fraternal Order of Police meeting. I have played golf there too and the course is always in good shape.

My family attended a sweet 16 there. The food was delicious however not warm enough which is my only negative comment. I understand that cooking for such a large group isnt easy. The filet mignon was tender and flavorful. The penne ala vodka was very good. I would have a party here and I would recommend this venue. . Food not hot enough of a quick fix. However the table agreed all the food was not warm enough but very good. And we all agree we would rather eat delicious food slightly warm than the other way around. There is also a playground there.

Course is in good shape. I made a reservation, but apparently many do not and casually stroll up post paying to play. I dont recommend that. You may save $4 but if thats breaking your budget maybe find another course

Very nice place and very clean Park. Where you can play Tennis, Base Ball, Softball, Soccer and have a nice Cold drinks. Very good environment to hang out.

We had an annual fund raiser at this facility last year and they took such good care of us that we are having there again this year.The staff and facilities are top notch. The course will keep you on your toes.Last year we had a good turn out and the word of mouth was so good about the course and facilities that we have a waiting list for this year! Have played many times. The staff are great.Course in great shape. While is a challenging course, it has its rewards too.A lot of fun.

Visited for a county Fair, which was fun itself, but never explored the main amenities of the club, itself.

We go once a month. Staff is friendly and accommodating to the changing group.

The basketball courts need a serious reno, still usable but need some tlc. I played here religiously when I was younger and its just not as visited as the good old days. The rest of the park is very usable, kids park, tennis, baseball, handball and the golf course is well kept.

First off let me say I play here a lot. 5 out of the 7 times this year, mainly cause its across the street from my house and at 28 to walk its a good deal. Now for the course.Tee Boxes: Normal, they take to long to move the markers so they often get chewed up, esp on the par 3s.Fairways: Good, there are a couple where the ground is always wet making for shots off it very hard. 1st tee 60-80 yards from green, 10th 50 yards from green, 13th 200 yards from green. I think they fixed the flooding on 13 but that was only the last 2 rounds.Rough: The rough is very small, if you normally miss fairways you will be in the woods here. The rough is not that high where it sucks balls up, in fact a lot of the rough is dirt and your ball will roll further than fairway.Trees: Each hole is tree lined and the distance from fairway to tree is not much. Most of the tree areas is just dirt packed making finding balls not to hard. When they are not like this, your ball is sucked up by leaves and bushes.Sand: Painful, the only place you find a rake is on a golf cart, so people walking dont have one. The people in the cart often dont use them. So when your in the sand you can find yourself in a foot mark or something else.Water: Only 4 holes have water. 1 and 4 share a hazard, 8 and 9 share the other. There is overgrown plant life taking over. While the first one (1/4) has been some what cleaned up the back one is not and walking down 9 you cant even see water just plants.Greens: Almost all of the greens are raised, some around 5 from fairway. This makes for interesting approach shots, and hard chips if you dont hit them. Overall the surface is good. They are not overly complicated once your on them. Slight breaks and changes but nothing extreme, except for 17, this is the only green I would call hard.Food: There is only a building thats located between the 6/7 and 16/17 walk. You can also stop after 11 before going to 12 as the 11th green looks over the building. Its normal stuff, I dont think its good/bad. Had better had worse. They normally have water coolers out, 3rd hole 8th and 16th to refill your bottle but have not put them in yet so not sure if they are bringing them back, I would expect them after memorial day when it starts getting warmer.Staff: All friendly, starters are really nice as well as the pro shop staff.Overall I like this course, its helped me improve my game since it is on the harder less forgiving side. For a public course costing 28 for residents this is a great choice, even no residents looking for something little different. Just expect bad lies if your not on the fairway.

Not very well maintained at all. The people that play there dont rake the bunkers ever and today our group had 4 balls stolen by other groups. Will never play there again. Save your money and play somewhere else

Used to be good now theres no ranger and the course is beat up and filled with disrespectful people who dont respect the course or golf edict, three hundred pound men who cannot even hit the ball and walk like they crapped their pants, five and a half hour 18 disgusting and disrespectful to the game, horrible and only gets worse the people who play golf here are the real dirtbags who just act like jackasss and destroy the course
