The service of this hotel was incredible and excellent! I didnt regret my stay here a week ago. I thanked their staves for accommodating me nicely and professionally. I like the area because it was so wide and refreshing. I plan to have a two-day stay in this place. Thanks much, guys! Very highly recommended!
Our family stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with an beautiful view…HOWEVER… the interior of the room was POOR. For the amount of money we paid…there is no reason why we should’ve been looking at dirty carpet, spots on the walls, dirty and cracked tables. The sofa to our leisure area was hard as a rock we had to opt out and sit on the bed for comfort to watch television. We requested a refrigerator for the room due to both refrigerators already placed inside the room did not work …received the refrigerator and it looked like something they had stored in a junkyard. It was scratched and bent up…not to add no where on our floor was there a working ice machine. My husband had to go about 2 floors down to get ice.On our second morning…we had room service knock on the door and we really didn’t need anything but my husband wanted an extra towel. He proceeds to open the door to ask for the extra towel and decline full room service so he told the attendant to wait and he’ll be right back…do you know she came in the room anyway and stood behind the door. I was in the middle of getting our child dressed…I thought that was very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL!We are returning to the area in a few weeks and this hotel will NOT even be an option to consider.I do NOT recommend anyone lodging here…it’s a complete rip off! People often say “you get what you pay for” but in this case we paid a pretty penny but did NOT get what we paid for!NEVER AGAIN!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - I booked a room 2 months ago and provided my credit card information vis phone and was under the impression that it was paid for all was good, etc (this is for my daughters 21st birthday). My daughter shows up and they tell her that she not only has to pay for the room, but that the hotel needs a physical card in order to pay for the room. I’m 3 hours away. THEY REFUSE TO LET ME PAY OVER THE PHONE - WHAT CENTURY IS THIS???
This was an awful experience! When I arrived the front desk attendant was pleasant and the lobby was beautiful. I was informed that my room had been upgraded. When I make it to my room the veil came off. I was “upgraded” to a handicap accessible room, leaving me to shower in a flood. The carpet was abhorrent. My feet were sticking to the floor in places. I unfortunately spent $300 for one night on a Motel 6 experience. I spoke to the front desk attendant when checking out about my concerns because the manager was “busy.” She told me that she would give me 3000 Bonvoy points for my trouble, and would be informing the manager who would be reaching out via email. Imagine that really happening. This place is an overpriced joke. Book with caution.
The staff is friendly and the location (not to mention the views) are top notch. However, this hotel was not as clean as it should be. I stayed in a suite and it was nice but you really pay for the location and the view. The gym was very good and Id say its better than most hotels Ive stayed at. If youre in the area its worth a night or two.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff made my boyfriend and I feel well taken care of for our anniversary getaway. Elegant and attentive. I do wish we knew in advance that the bar and other amenities were closed considering the high price point, so I am disappointed about that, however everything else was excellent. Clean rooms and pretty view.
We stayed at the hotel on 8/7/2021 as we had an event to attend to. As instructed we parked in the parking garage across the street from the hotel. Initially the attendant said the garage was full. After some more small talk we advised the attendant we were staying at the W and he seemed to be shocked and did not believe us. After going back and forth because he was in disbelief we showed him our reservation. The conversation changed and he allowed us to park.Check in was smooth and we were advised that our room was upgraded. Me and my friend were excited at the kind gesture only to find out we were placed in a handicapped room. The shower in the room was horrible. The bathroom floods due to the low lying base of the shower and poor drainage. The carpet in the room was not the cleanest. In summary, i would not stay here again. The location is wonderful however the inner workings of the W are in need of repair.
The W is one of my favorite Marriott hotel brands. The Hoboken W is especially well done. Elegant entrance, The massive doors are so interesting. The lobby is well designed, logical, and very quite. The staff are a major part of the equation of a stay, They are great at all Ws but Hoboken really raises the bar. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The views are amazing.
The upscale Hotel in a great location to stay if you are in Hoboken. It is right on the water with parking (challenge in Hoboken) right opposite the entrance. Its a W so upgrade the room enjoy the food and you wont be dissappointed.
Victor and a young lady greeted me at the entrance the young lady tried to find me a parking space in the local garage and succeeded Victor moved my belongings in and then got worried about me and went into the parking garage to make sure that I was all right those two make the best impression of the kind of caring people that work on your staff the room was magnificent Victor gave me a full orientation to my room until everything worked I had travelled over 700 miles to be at your hotel the bed was wonderful I had a great sleep thank you all for having me sincerely Sharon sandland
This place is so awesome! Super super clean and nice!! The bed and room is very comfortable!! Views of the city are spectacular.
This review is for the restaurant and lounge. I like to take business partners and clients there. Everything is top-notch and the service is always really good.
Nice location next to many Jersey-side attractions. Many rooms offer nice views of the Hudson River/Manhattan, but the best rooms are probably x07 through x13 (with x being the floor number). An oddity that made me knock off one of my rating stars: our trip happened to coincide with Hurricane Ida coming through. Hoboken ended up being under a boil water order as the flooding receded. When I asked the front desk for an update on the boil order, they had no clue what I was talking about. I would have thought the front desk would be alerting guests to this safety hazard. As a result, my wife and wouldnt eat in the restaurant.
They charged me $95 for one Macallan 18 on the rocks.More than double what I usually pay.And it was a really big ice cube!
Definitely way over priced and the interior of the rooms are not nice especially when your paying $450 a night.
Positive: Customer service...super nice people. our desk clerk knowing it was our first time there found a room with a magnigicent view of the NY skyline. Such a kind act ha won our hearts as well as our full endorsement.
Small, old rooms for a steep price. Ice machines broken and poor ac. Great location though
Visited for a brief “daycation” and I was extremely surprised by the condition of the hotel room. While it wasn’t extremely dirty, it wasn’t what I would expect out of a W hotel. Furniture needed to be replaced, there were a lot of spots on the walls, a spot on the head board, the bath tub was stained, and the carpet had spots. My fiancé booked a king room with a river front view, unfortunately they provided us with a room that partially showed a view of the river and mostly an apartment building or condo - disappointing.Needed our dinner warmed up so I called the front desk, a very nice gentleman picked up, and in 2 minutes we had an entire microwave. Those 2 stars are definitely for him. All of the staff was great. We didn’t make a fuss about the quality of the hotel because we only stayed the night but I definitely will not be returning.
I went there for a surprise party. It had a lovely vibe. It was very clean and polished. The staff were polite and the food was excellent.
Yummy food. Good waitstaff. Expensive ---> there were even appetizers over $90.
The W?Feels like a cheap hotel you will stay for 1 night. Bad food, mediocre service. I was there for 2 nights and they didnt have room service. We had breakfast n lunch at Lulus, worst food. Worst,W I have ever stayed.
Location and room is A+. Its near good restaurants and great parks and paths around the pier.
Nice room, good food, great service.
Beautiful view of NYC, Angel is an amazing bar tender !!
I got a room here for some unreasonably picky relatives visint from overseas and even they loved it. Its an outstanding hotel!
Great hotel, nice view in the rooms. Nice staff, and great food at the restaurant. There were loud noises in the room next to us and the security in the building took care of it. I recommend staying here!
Bo parking.. no room service.. no restaurant to get breakfast here.. no coffee..rooms not cleaned in time.. but.. good location..great view of NYC…not
Beautiful rooms! We dined at a local restaurant near by. So many options to explore within walking distance of the hotel. Parking available across the street.
We did a local stay-cation for a birthday, and it was awesome. Heres my recommendation:- Book a balcony room at the W- Spend the day learning a new skill at the DIY Shop Hoboken- Pick up La Isla for carryout dinner, and stop by the wine store on the corner near the W- Enjoy your fabulous dinner on your fabulous balcony- Sleep like a log because the beds are incredibly comfortableBonus points for the W for having Davines bathroom products! Well be back!
Easy To Get To And A GREAT Neighborhood
Room AC issue upon arrival, take forever for engineer to arrive. Issued another room
W Hote, The Best Hotel in Hoboken NJ.
Positive: Love the location and view of the City from the hotel room Negative: They removed the service post-Covid, yet the pricing was still quite high. Not to mention the $150 deposit, despite there is nothing you could purchase.
The water pressure is very low in this hotel. It was hard to wash soup out of my hair. The room could use a update. I had a broken clothes rack in the closet. The chair near the window had gave me paper cuts.Only highlights was the fabric steamer, and the gym. Also a pretty good restaurant on site.
Excellent location with great views
Check in was very fast. Bar staff need little bit of help took way to long to serve us.
To many covid restrictions
Loved every bit of it.
Had a great stay! Room was exceptional, service was fantastic, and food downstairs was great. Would definitely recommend and hope to return. And that view was absolutely amazing. Nothing like having a postcard view from you bed.
Extra charge for wifi. Only one robe per room. Small rooms. They do not give you the view you paid for. We paid for skyline view and are staring at dumpsters. Stay in jersey city and avoid the headache of this hotel. This is not the standard of other W hotels I have stayed at.
Negative: Their standard room was pretty small
Waterfront views! I received a great room facing NYC. I was amazed how much they have updated it since the last time I stayed here a few years ago! Great place in Hoboken in the center of all the night life!
If anyone out there is looking for great deals for hotels and resorts check out ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ booked a hotel room on there and these guys had the absolute best rates just about anywhere! The entire experience was just so amazing! I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Check in was extremely smooth, room was spotless and the view was to die for. I could sit on that couch and just look outside all day. Definitely plan on coming back at a later time
The rooms are clean the atmosphere is nice but you were mostly paying for the view of Manhattan overall it was a pretty cool place to stay
Refrigerater was dirty, they dont wear mask in the gym though policy states to wear mask and over priced especially when rules arent enforced. The view is BEAUTIFUL and Claire took care of us as much as she could. Beds are clean
Just booked, didnt even go there yet but im already impressed by their staff.Called to ask about something and the woman who answered (Jules) was extremely nice, courteous and helpful.
The entire experience was just so amazing! I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Check in was extremely smooth, room was spotless and the view was to die for. I could sit on that couch and just look outside all day. Definitely plan on coming back at a later time
Its 5 minutes from my home town, where I grew up,there is no place like it
Awesome place..!!
Great location, great staff..
This place is awesome. The rooms were very clean, the service was great and the food at the hotel, Halifax was great. You must have the brunch there!!! Outdoor service only but social distancing is followed and the staff operate with your safety in mind.If you go, I must recommend that you get a room with a river view on a high floor. The view of the Manhattan skyline is second to none, especially at night. The hotel itself is in a place that looks like it had an active nightlife before this Covid hit but nonetheless, the area is still brimming with activity and things to do. Right across from the hotel there is a huge man-made structure on the river with a HUGE dock that is kept very clean A steady breeze is present and presents a chance to see the impressive architecture of NY and NJ office buildings. On more than one occasion I had to remind myself that I was still in New Jersey.Planning to go back real soon.
Ive been to the W a couple of times and at each occurrence, the staff has been amazing. Customer focused, friendly, and very in tune with my needs. Check in and check out was smooth and painless. Room was super clean and comfortable. The event staff in particular were cheery, friendly, and very attentive. The food at our even was spectacular. I will definitely stay here again and look forward to my next trip to Hoboken!
Dinner took an hour and a half to get. Unacceptable!
Lets start off with the customer service, our waiter was rude, didnt even tell us the specials..the food wasnt even great. I ordered the NY strip steak for 44 bucks hoping to get a good taste. I have eateb better steaks at tgi fridays. So sad however my bill reflected a place that would have had great service and food. I drove an hour with my family to this place just have ok food and horrible customer service. Disappointed. I posted picture of our view, the glass was also dirty. I had looked up the best restaurants on eater.com with a view and this one showed up. How can i enjoy the view if the glass is dirty!!!!
Positive: Location only Negative: I chose a room w/ partial view of the skyline. There was ABSOLUTELY NO view of the city whatsoever. I could of chosen a cheaper room then. I paid extra to get the partial view but did not get that. The toilet wouldnt flush properly. I was disappointed.
I fell in love with Marias outstanding customer service. I had some questions about venues regarding weddings and she was very clear, informative, and overall the best thing in the hotel. I have never had such an amazing person to help me with such detail and patience. I gave it 5 stars for her !!!!!
Our stay at the W Hoboken was short, but sweet. We were driving up from VA for a wedding in upstate NY and wanted to break up the drive and enjoy a night out in NYC. When looking at hotels, the NYC hotels were way too expensive. I always heard good things about Hoboken, so when I saw a reasonable rate for the W, I snagged it! We had a lovely stay! Check in was quick and easy, the staff friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well appointed. I loved the chaise by the window that overlooked the river. The location of this hotel is fantastic. It was a quick walk to the path train (about 10 minutes) that takes you into NYC (short 15 minute ride). Plus it was walking distance to all the restaurants and bars in Hoboken. I highly recommend this hotel!
Very good scenery
Great hotel bar and restaurant delicious
Had been to New York countless times however never stayed in Hoboken. Neighbourhood is very surprisingly very quiet. Lots of great shops and restaurants nearby and an amazing running path by the river. Stunning view of Manhattan and also very convenient to get too. Only 2 subway stops on the path and you are in the heart of the City.
We stayed because the location was convenient. We would come again because we had such a lovely time. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The views of the NYC skyline are amazing. Our room was clean, comfortable and well designed. We were on the 17th floor and it is definitely an amazing view! The shower is large and the Bliss products from the spa are wonderful. There are many restaurants nearby, as well as a great bar and restaurant at the hotel. It is easy to get to Manhattan by public transport. We would definitely stay here again. Much easier than driving into NYC and dealing with traffic. Parking is super convenient-across the street- but expensive. We used valet since the difference was so small and we could take the car in and out.
The room and room service were excellent. I splurged a little and got the filet medium-rare and a glass of red wine. Honestly, it was as well prepared and presented as it would have been in a good steak house. That made me happy because it was my own money I was spending, not a business expense. You know what I mean? Another nice extra was the wake up call- it was a human being saying good morning instead of a robot and he even called back a few minutes later to make sure I was up. So I was very much impressed with my stay. When I got home, however, I realized that I had forgotten my favorite shirt in the room and I live 1000 miles away. I called The W and they put me through to security. They found my shirt within a few minutes and gave me instructions for sending them a shipping label by email and literally hours later I got a confirmation that my shirt was on the way to me. Thats real service. I very much appreciate their efforts.
Stephanie had emailed me during the week asking if there was anything I needed and if I was celebrating anything. I told her its a girls night out celebrating my daughters birthday. We were surprised to have found chocolate covered strawberries left in the room for us with a beautiful hand written note from Stephanie. Little details like this goes a long way. Cannot wait to do our spring getaway later this year and celebrate my daughters birthday again at the W. - very grateful for the attention!
Positive: The cleanliness and the view. Negative: No coffee maker in the room, only upon request. The fridge was not plugged in.
My boyfriend and I decided to take a ride a few Summers ago and we ended up in Hoboken. We stayed here for 2 days and it was amazing. Not only was the room beautiful, but the view we had of the New York skyline was the most beautiful thing Ive ever seen. There is plenty of restaurants/bars along with stores and there is a restaurant in the hotel. I am looking forward to going back...Alot!!!
Outstanding, friendly and helpful staff. Super clean. Spacious room and bathroom. Enjoy the waterfront walk and playground. Enjoy nearby restaurants, mere steps away. Beautiful. Dont miss the world class art display. They actually have an artist in residence. Valet parking is $40 a night come and go as you please.
My wife and I stayed at the W Hotel in Hoboken for our wedding anniversary. The Hotel staff was great, the check in was fast, the restaurant was delicious however the hotel is in need of renovations. Ive been going to the W in Hoboken for years and while the bathrooms seem to have been kept up to date the rest of the room looks the same as it did when I went a decade ago. The carpets are stained and run down, the walls have paint damage (scuffs of all colors, poor patch/repair work, etc) all over, and the guest phone is straight out of 2001. The views of the Hudson/City are magnificent and if they give their guest rooms some love this could be a top tier hotel.
Staff was great and the location is great! Lots of views and food options. Love it!
Stayed at the W in Hoboken for the second time. Love staying here when in NYC. The ferry, the views, the location, the rooms, the riverside park, the shops and restaurants. Twenty minutes from the middle of Manhattan for a great price. Feels like a five star to me. Cant wait to go back. Perfect.
Terrible room service and room could of been cleaned better. Views of NY were amazing though
My brother-in-law and I had a great time. Staff are beyond amazing. The view of Manhattan skyline is majestic. We dont drink alcohol, but the room came with it which was a bit annoying but no harm is done. We enjoyed the gym even if there was no pool. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. See you soon!
From the moment we checked in, my daughter fell in love with this property as we celebrated her birthday. To see her smile made this stay feel that much better. I loved the service at the restaurant and lobby bar which made the experience top notch.
Nice hotel
The W was an excellent choice of accommodations. It has beautiful views of the Hudson River and the City’s Skyline. The waterfront park is so close you could go there for walking, jogging, picnics, or just to hangout. It’s located in walking distance to lots of restaurants, pharmacies, and public transportation stations. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice sized, comfortable, clean, and has a great wet bar(pretty expensive though).
We checked in late in the afternoon the valet service for parking the car was good although a tad expensive ($40). We were offered an upgrade to a room with two queen beds and a view of the Hudson river. The view was magnificent. The food quality at the restaurant was excellent. We got a 10% discount being a Bonvoy member. Good location, well run hotel, good food. We will return.
Positive: Room view
Their W sign is way too bright and disturbs the view when looking westward from Manhattan. Can you guys please turn it town?
My husband and I decided to take a short weekend retreat to W Hoboken, chosen because of the on site access to the spa and the North Atlantic inspired cuisine of the restaurant. The suite was beautiful, comfortable, and the view of the city and river was stunning. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the the fragrance of the toiletries was amazing. Spa was wonderful, my husband was pampered to a near comatose state of relaxation. The food in the Living Room and Halifax was excellent and service was charming. I wish I could remember the name of our sever, but he was fabulous. He was very attentive, knowledgeable, and funny. The neighborhood is quiet, which made for an extremely relaxing evening sitting on the balcony watching the city lights. We highly recommend, and will definitely be back.
Hotel, room and furniture was old, beat up and ready for a few updates. The furniture in the vice presidents suite was perfect for a childrens daycare but not for an expensive hotel room. Not certain what the designer was thinking when they chose the furnishings. The room had a record player and two albums to play, one being purple rain. The beautiful views helped increased the rating. The Halifax restaurant had decent food, but not for the price. Food was served cold and took forever.Breakfast buffet was minimal and mediocre. Eggs, bacon, sausage and oatmeal. Toast. Danish, cereal. A plate of salami and cheese. And a bowl of diced fruit.Staff was kind and helpful.
Great Hotel staff! That right now would be the only reason to return. The Cool Corner Room is in need of refresh stain on carpet should never be part of anyone’s stay lose the carpet
Positive: It was very cozy and had a great view of the Hudson river. Negative: No
I dont like being deceived. The photos of the hotel are always showing you stunning views and amazing windows but even though we chose that option we got one window (that was nowhere near as big as the pictures showed) and gave us a partial view if we looked to the left. If you stay here youll also be on a busy party street so youll hear people at night. There was also a lot of noise in the hallway. Also beware if youre fond of closing blinds because the way they have the blinds set up only allows you to cover it while still slightly getting enough sunlight to wake you up. Lastly ill mention that the AC wasnt all that. Bad experience.
Im only giving this place 5 stars because of the outstanding customer service and hospitality given by Maria, the front desk agent. She was very informative, helpful, and genuinely nice.
The W Hotel was amazing this weekend. The ongoing pandemic severely impacted my sisters bachelorette weekend. The staff at the W hotel did an amazing job helping make this memorable despite the circumstances. Katie and Clare were especially helpful. W Hotel, please give them my serious thanks and appreciation.
Hotel as a whole is very nice and staff is great. Lobby and common areas are upscale and well kept. Rooms, however, are a bit worn. Have stayed a couple of times and each time there are too many imperfections in the rooms to overlook. That being said, none of the issues were major, and every stay was very comfortable. Just expect a level higher in detail for this level of hotel.
NYC views are amazing, more relax setting from across the tunnels and bridges. The town of Hoboken is awesome to walk. Have breakfast lunch and dinner, hometown of Frank Sinatra (Blue Eyes)and Carlos Bakery among other great businesses in the neighborhood.
My boyfriend (now hubby) and I chose to celebrate our wedding at the W Hoboken, at we couldnt have been any happier with our decision! The staff, the venue, the lighting, the food, the common areas, and of course our suite, was simply put: AMAZING!From the day we decided on W Hoboken, they provided excellent service, and their dedicated event coordinator was on top of every single little and big detail - both before the event, and at the day of the wedding.Thank you W Hoboken for creating an unforgettable wedding - both for us, and for our guests!
The hotel is very nice and modern. The view in the room was amazing. The staff was very nice and helpful. The shower drain was slow while showering and the pillows on the bed werent very comfortable. They tried to charge me for a sparkling water that we never drank, but they did say they will reimburse us. Other than that, everything was great.
The staff at the W Hoboken always makes me feel at home. From check in to check out, the interaction with each staff member is always very positive and exceptional. They clearly recognize your status and value the importance of customer loyalty. The W Insider at the hotel, Brittany, is the best in the business. Always works extremely hard to honor requests as well as assist in my client entertainment needs. As most business travelers can attest, its not always fun or easy being on the road. The W Hoboken consistently does their best to make you feel at home. Because of this excellent customer service, I have recommended my peers to stay here. I will constantly go out of my way to stay here even though I have meetings outside the immediate area. And when I travel to the area for personal reasons bringing family members, I become a rock star with my family due to how we are treated. Thanks again to Manny, the GM, Brittany and everyone at the W Hoboken for making my life better! The W Hoboken is what all hotels for business travel should aspire to be. Oh, and within minutes, you can be in New York City.
Positive: We were treated with respect and class! Negative: No
Spent my Birthday weekend at the W Hoboken and loved the 5 days there! The views, the service, the attention to detail by style/ welcome/ and wheels were excellent! The location was also great, not only cause of the amazing views 24/7 but because of the ease of access to public transportation whether by ferries, trains or buses. Look forward to staying here again soon!
Beds were very comfortable....i come here with my friends, we enjoyed allot at this place!!! food was amazing. nice staff. cool and calm atmosphere.Must recommended. i will definitely give you 5 stars because of your brilliant services.
Love this hotel! I miss it. My dad once got a suite room, and it was huge! :)) There was a piano in that room; I am pretty sure the othe suite rooms are roomie too! Havent been there for a long time, since my dad doesnt go to NYC for business trips anymore
