I forgot to give a review on Cams Tree Service from one year ago today. When the derecho wind and rain storm blew through Valparaiso last August 10th, 2020 a huge old growth tree fell on our home causing terrible damage. I was frantic that evening. I called many tree service providers trying to find one that could respond urgently by the next morning. Cam came through! He said his crew would be out the next morning! His crew showed up early the next morning and cleared the tree from our home and even helped to put down a tarp covering the huge opening in our roof! Cam is the man! I am forever grateful to Cams Tree Service for providing such excellent service on such a short notice.

Im really quite amazed at the timely completion of the work performed. From my initial phone call for an estimate to the job being completed was 27 hours! I had 3 trees and a large evergreen removed plus several branches trimmed from other trees. A great crew of knowledgeable, professional, and courteous men. Great clean up afterwards. I highly recommend Cams Tree Service. I appreciate that he was able to squeeze me in at the last minute. 👍

Be careful if they cut your neighbors trees, they hit my truck with their claw machine they use to pick up branches! My fiancé said they were getting close to my truck and the guy that drove the claw machine was pretty careless! How do I know? The chipper and truck they were using was parked right across from my pickup truck, the big gash they left wouldnt have been from another vehicle but rather a machine or a big branch they ended up chipping. Happened a couple weeks ago when I was at work. Wish I wouldve looked at the truck sooner.

Cams Tree Service did quality service at a great price! Everything was cleaned up nicely. I called two other companies and he had the best price and was the only one to respond back. I highly recommend.

Called for quote for tree removal due to storm damage. I get that they were extremely busy, but Cam answered the phone and was kind of rude to me. I overlooked it due to the fact that I’m sure they were getting many calls and may have been overwhelmed in the moment. Said they would come the next day for an estimate. Never showed up and never called to say they weren’t coming. In the future if you’re too busy to answer, maybe just let it go to voicemail and then just ignore the request instead of being rude and then lying/not showing up when you say you will.

Cam’s crew did a great job trimming up my locust trees in the backyard. There was a hard to reach spot where limbs were hanging over the house, and one of the guys climbed to the top and took care of it. They also left the backyard cleaner than it was before they started.

Cams just left. What can I say except “Amazing, quick, professional, awesome job, crew was friendly, worked together great”. Extremely satisfying experience. Thank you, Cam’s.

Cams crew just finished trimming a tree and taking down another tree. Cam returned my initial call the same day I left a message. The job was completed within a week of my initial call. I am very pleased with the results. They did a great job cleaning up the debris. We have had Cam do work for us before and have never been anything but completely happy with the results.

I needed 3 large maple trees cut down and stumps removed. Cam came to my house with a free estimate on the same day I called. He also gave me a senior discount. On the 2 scheduled days, 3 workers showed up bright and early and immediately started working. They were professional,polite and respectful. Just great guys. They did outstanding work and left my yard clean. They had to remove part of my privacy fence and put it back up better than they found itIf I had anymore trees to be removed, I would definitely call them.

Cam gave us a very reasonable quote to trim two large trees close to our house. We live on top of a hill beyond the reach of a boom so his crew had to climb up those trees. Complicating matters were the power lines to our house. Josh rigged the large limbs so they came down safely when he cut them. The rest of the crew carried away all the debris and cleaned up our yard. We confidently recommend Cams Tree Service.

Cams was the most responsive company. They were willing and able to perform the work. They arrived when they were supposed to and did a great job. The guys on the crew worked quickly but safely too. We are very happy with work performed!

2 years ago, I called Cams Tree Service for a quote. Cam came to the house the same day with a reasonable deal to cut down 18 dead trees close to the house that needed a climber in order to be cut from the top down. Once the date was set, the crew came out and 3 days later the job was finished. The crew worked hard and did a great job. This review comes a little late, but still highly recommended. Thank you!

Gave me a great price, but only did 2/3 of the job. Thought we agreed to have 3 trees trimmed and cut, but only two were done. Tried calling no return call! 5-18-15, status update: Cams redeemed themselves. They came to my home to finish the job!! A big Thanks!!! Called this place a few times and was told I would get a call back. Had to call them back every time, even just to get my estimate that they said they would leave in the mailbox but never did. When I wanted to schedule the job he said he would look at his notes to find my estimate and call me back, never got around to calling me back. Finally gave up on them and will call someone else.

I wish this was a good review. Everything started out well. Called for an estimate, guy came out quick and gave us an estimate. He was 1 of the estimates we got that day for a tree removal and stump gring. Seemed like a nice guy. I decided to go with Cam, called him the next day and he told us he would check the schedule and let us know when he could knock it out. A week later, after no call at all about when the job would get done, guys from this company popped up at my house with no notification. I wasnt there. Saw the guys on my front camera. Called Cam to find out what was going on. He explained that the guys came by to remove the stump on my tree that he thought they had already cut down. He owned his mistake and said that he was going to get it taken care of. At the time he was in between jobs and tried to rush me off the phone. I needed to know when was he going to schedule a day with me. He became rude and cut the convo short....unacceptable! The next day his guys show up again unannounced while Im not home. I get an alert on my phone saying someone is at my door. I ask can I help them they let me know theyre from Cams tree removal and that they was there to take care of the tree. I explained that I was not ok with them just popping up with no notice again on top of the rude convo the prior day we would be going with another company.

We have used Cams on a couple of different occasions we have always gotten other quotes and he always has the best price. They dont promise more than they deliver they deliver more then promised.

What a crew!From the day Cam (himself) came by to look at our tree to the final cut - top notch service!Cam came by one day, identified the type of tree, pointed out potential issues, and made recommendations. He let us know that he would have a crew out within two weeks. He also explained the process so that we would know what to expect of his team. Oh .. and the price was right$$The following week, we got a text letting us know the crew would be out the next day @ 07:30.Bright and early they arrived - The Cutter (Josh), The Rope Guy (Kenny), Tony (Jr), and OldMan (Tony Sr.)! What can I say about this group of guys! Hard working. Knowledgeable. Ready to get things done. And all while being vigilant and sensitive to our yard, our neighbors yards, etc ...Having this type of work done, in this confined neighborhood, peeked the interest of a few of our neighbors, too. The guys were professional interacting and responding to their questions. And got right back to work bringing down OldLinden, the tree that had shaded this backyard for (we suppose) the past 40 - 50 years!We are so grateful we got to watch and interact with the crew! In a word: Awful. Came to our house, gave us an estimate and indicated they would be there in several days to remove 2 trees. They never showed up. After several weeks, they were contacted and reminded about the job, and acted as if they had never been to our home. Then, they indicated they would do the job that afternoon. Guess what? They never showed up. Take your business elsewhere.
