The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and caring. You walk into a smile every time and to the question “if there is anything we can help u with please ask” that’s customer service with a smile. The ownership should be very proud and acknowledge this venue especially for there hard work, valued customer services and there attention to detail… thank you Hingham planet fitness for making my experience especially memorable every time I walk into your place of business. Please acknowledge your staff as they make your business a huge success without them, it would not be the special place I call my second home to relieve my stress and live a healthy lifestyle!!

There are plenty of both cardio machines as well as weight machines. Lots of space and the stretching/TRX/Ab rooms are amazing! The facility is spotless and the staff are kind and friendly. The price is so incredibly reasonable and I was blown away when I found out the Black Card membership included the hydro massage, massage chairs AND tanning- I don’t think there is any where else you could get those amenities included without up charges. And again- HOW CAN YOU BEAT THE MEMBERSHIP PRICING!?!??

Great place with great staff, but renovations that have begun apparently deem a mature crew unnecessary. A young man about 18-19 years old with 2 of his friends totally fresh out of highschool, were part of the crew (with only 1 actual grown man) moving machines around with no notice at all to gym-goers. No signs being displayed or tape put up to box off the areas they were CURRENTLY deciding to work on, which was lifting the cable machines with the benches attached.So, those large cable machine areas at the back of the gym, were loose and free to tip, with no warnings the bolts driven down had been removed and the structures pulled away from their original spots.Most importantly, One of them was riding a massive square dolly back and forth down the main aisle with one foot not paying attention to the people whom were carrying weights around their smith machines. This could’ve easily led to people getting hurt or that kid himself. I use this gym regularly and have no problems until I witnessed this. Pretty cheap to hire kids, when they have no regard for people wearing headphones, working out, passing by etc.Very, very upsetting to see PF of hingham.

I like the place because its inexpensive and of decent quality. The employees are courteous and the place is spotless clean. Good selection of equipment but there could be a few more pieces of a number of things and less pieces of the other things. Your first visit might be a little confusing unless you make an appointment with a Fitness professional to get you started.

The facility is constantly being cleaned and sanitized by the staff. All of the machines (from what I can tell) are in excellent working order. Everyone that I have talked to that uses the gym is very friendly and helpful. This is the best gym that I have been to especially for only $10 a month!

The Planet Fitness in Hingham, MA is always clean, has plenty of room to work out and be safely socially distanced. Thats important to me, but even more importantly, the staff is always friendly. They welcome you with a hello and then goodbye as you leave. Sometimes, the little things make a BIG difference.

Wanted to cancel my membership. I was told I had to do it online, using my membership number. Lie. Called back again and was told that I had to come in to cancel. Told them i was out of state. They told me to send certified mail. Either the team isnt sure about their policy or they are willfully misleading people. Yes, my membership fee was charged during this. Unprofessional.

First day open again after the pandemic shut down. As I walk up to the entrance I already see a patron working out hard without a mask. I go in and ask if masks are going to be manditory. I’m told yes, they are and then I point and say “well, what about him”.Basically for the half hour I was there, the staff were not the mask police. I saw two other patrons deciding not to cover their nose. The air conditioning didn’t appear to be on, the front door was open for a breeze. It was hot and it got hotter while you worked out with a mask. It wasn’t crowded at all. It looked clean and a Staff was wiping down machines.I was dying to get back to the gym especially since it’s hot out but this doesn’t appear to be a good alternative. They have some machines blocked off for social distancing which is good, but unfortunately if people are going to be breathing heavy especially since it’s not well air conditioned and masks are not monitored then it might not be the right time to go back if you have concerns for your health.3 weeks later and blonde staff doesn’t feel the need to wear mask inside... if your concerned about your health, not the right time....

This is my third review of planet fitness since they reopened from the pandemic. Again there were two males working out incorrectly wearing their masks. Staff did speak with them but no action was taken when they continued to do it. Unfortunately it takes more than words to remain safe and stop the virus from spreading. If you’re concerned over your health don’t go here. There’s a pattern of inaction.

This is fairly clean gym with plenty of equipment and decent clientele. The desk staff is friendly and helpful. If had to nitpick one thing the exercise bikes are not that great, but the rest of the equipment is fine.

Tanning stations have weak bulbs and you cant hear the music when tanning, just feedback from broken speakers. In general the gym is clean. They only have mirrors near all the weight racks. Wish they had them in the back area for stretching and other exercises. Weight lifting isnt the only activity that requires you to have proper form, so it would be nice if they had mirrors in more areas.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE STAFF IS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. I CALLED TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER I WAS TOLD TO CALL BACK, I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE SPEAKING WITH THE DISTRICT MANAGER. WHEN I CALLED BACK I HEARD THE EMPLOYEE WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE TELL HER SHE HAD A CALL, SHE IMMEDIATELY WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL NOT KNOWING I COULD HEAR HER AND SHE WAS SAYING SHE DIDNT WANT TO ANSWER THE CALL SHE HAD RECEIVED A NOTE AND SHE JUST GOT THERE, I EVEN TOLD THE GIRL ON THE PHONE I WAS SORRY SHE COULD CALL ME BACK IF SHE WAS BUSY. WHEN SHE GOT ON THE PHONE SHE WAS QUICK AND RUDE WITH ALL THE QUESTIONS I HAD TO ASK HER, I HAVE BEEN A BLACK CARD MEMBER FOR TEN YEARS AND HAD A SIMPLE QUESTION ABOUT THE FEES AND SHE DIDNT CARE TO ANYTHING I HAD TO SAY, THE WAY SHE TREATED ME HAS MADE ME DECIDE THAT AFTER TEN YEARS I WILL NO LONGER BE A MEMBER OF PLANET FITNESS BEEN THOUGH SHE HAD INFORMED ME THEY STILL WILL TAKE OUT ONE MORE LAST PAYMENT OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. AFTER 10 YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW I WAS TREATED.

The manager there is NOT friendly. It is definitely a judgement zone. I was in the middle of a workout and she walks up to me and tells me to move my bench because it is in the isle. Such a DOUBLE STANDARD. The number of times that other people have done it and have never been bothered is countless. I felt so targeted because I am not a big muscular man. If I was I bet you my life she would not have bothered me in the middle of my workout. It sucks so much now I feel extremely uncomfortable going there. She completely ruined not only my workout but also my overall experience. Now I have to look for other locations further from my home to go to so I can workout in peace. Btw this club is very dusty and loud. It’s not even that great to go to so for her to do that, needless to say I will be canceling my membership there once my year is up

I told them I was immune compromised and couldnt use the gym. They didnt care and wouldnt reverse the monthly fee, which they charged yesterday. Disputing now with the bank. What scum bags. Seriously.

Not the greatest of gyms around but certainly is inexpensive. Just wish that there was a bit more focus of the free weight section. But hey what do want for $10/mo?

Be careful when you join! They do not explain all the fees well. They claim its $10 a month but never explain the $49 start up fee and the $39 annual fee.

Great Gym, pleasant staff, clean facility, all modern equipment and plenty of it, lots of cardio equipment, no classes. Busy parking lot but never full. For $10 a month its the best value in town.

Great place to become a member no one bothers you whilst you work out

I went to the Hingham location on the 5th of July to work out. I am a black card member from the Dedham location, but I did not have my card on me. They called the Dedham location and said that I cancelled my membership. I did cancel my membership in March but I repurchased a membership on the 2nd of July. They looked me up by last name, and I asked if they needed a phone number instead. The guy that was helping me didnt seem to care enough and said that he was sorry but I had a cancelled membership. Mind you that I have darker skin and no other options were even offered to me such as purchasing a day pass. Will never go to this location again and I am contemplating cancelling my membership again. Thanks Planet Fitness.

I never write reviews but the older man with glasses working at the front desk around 5:45 tonight was so rude to me and I feel obligated to warn other people so they dont put up with it. I was having an awful day after my dog died and just wanted to work out to blow off steam. Been a black card member for 3 years now. The guy at the front held me up at the desk staring me down threatening not to let me in the gym while holding my keys. Why? Because my HAIR COLOR was different than the photo I took when I signed up.He kept staring at the computer monitor and then staring back at me mumbling about how different I looked which made me SUPER uncomfortable. I couldnt leave because he was holding my keys behind the desk, which was completely unnecessary. I literally had to ASK for my keys back. So creepy.He said, This isnt you I cant allow you in. Insinuating I was using someone elses keycard, which is so insulting. Why would I need to take someone elses when its only $10-20/month to join? Does he bully every person who walks in and looks slightly different from their photo? Because thats just what members want the second they walk in the gym, right? Having someone point out how different you look now than a few years ago? If thats how he handles a change in haircolor I cant imagine how he reacts to people who look different due to weight gain. If I owned this franchise I would be horrified to learn this was how an employee was treating members. He then quizzed me on my home location and first name, as though I was some suspicious criminal that couldnt be trusted instead of a welcomed member. I was clearly aggravated and as I walked away he yelled at me not to give him a hard time. Maybe he should get retrained on how to interact with customers by your younger employees, because theyve been nothing but kind to me every time Ive come in.

I spent almost every day here. Very friendly regulars and staff. People focus on their workout. Affordable clean bathrooms and changing areas I highly recommend.

Smaller gym for weights. Lots of cardio machines. Once again like every planet fitness the staff doesnt know a thing about exercising. Ive asked questions like, how much does the bar weigh in the Smith machine? noone knew, not even the manager. Its a lot better than Weymouth but when it gets busy, forget it.

PF is what you make of it. Most people dont make much of it, which is their business model. What is uniquely unpleasant about this location is the number of high school kids constantly taking up space and wasting time on their cell phones. The staff should enforce some kind of rule about it. But then again, it isnt a real gym.

The manager discriminates against men in good shape been going there for a long time wearing the same gym clothes and tonight was harrassed about wearing a tank top along with 4 or 5 other men yet women are wearing sports bras, half shirts and small tank tops yet nothing is said to them.

Rude...on the website when you download the rules it sites rules/policy for daycare during workouts at planet fitness. When I inquired about babysitting at this location I was rudely told multiple times planet fitness doesnt do daycare and they had no idea where I got that infomation and no planet fitness has this service...I guess their own rules lie as well as the many many reviews on planet fitnesses childcare
