We chose Avalon Residences when moving back home to Massachusetts this year and we’re so glad we did. The team was incredibly helpful during the leasing and move-in process, and they’ve been just as supportive during our time as residents. We specifically have spent the most time working with Nadia, who has been amazing, but everyone we’ve interacted with on both the office and maintenance teams has been great.The team does a great job making us feel like we live in a community, which isn’t always the case in an apartment complex. The amenities and physical spaces are maintained very well, and the team makes the extra effort to plan fun seasonal events that bring us together as neighbors.We’re very happy here, and we would strongly recommend it to anyone else looking in this area!

I have absolutely loved living at Avalon for the past 3 years. The staff has gone above and beyond to help accommodate any of my needs. They are such a friendly group of people. The grounds are immaculate and well taken care of. It has been an amazing living experience so far.

Nadia has made our stay here seamless. Her personal attention to detail and responsiveness are outstanding. We have enjoyed the use of all of the amenities which are ample and well maintained. Our puppy Gracie has taken advantage of the dog spa and the dog park as well!

We moved from California a year ago and selected the Avalon Residences at the Shipyard because it checked all of our boxes at the time: location, pretty, modern, nice amenities, pet friendly. We have not been disappointed. The building is decorated beautifully and well maintained. The pool was a true treat this summer. Most importantly, the staff is amazing. Liz in the office is wonderful - always very professional and responsive All service requests are handled swiftly. We could not have landed at a better place.

Loved my time at Avalon Residences in the Shipyard. Having lived at several different Avalon communities including Avalon North Station downtown and Avalon Lofts in Cambridge, I can say first hand that these apartments in hingham are very well built and even the ‘standard finish’ units all feature amenities that are considered upgrades at most other complexes, if even available at all.All of the units have high ceilings with extensive recessed lighting in the kitchens, living rooms and hallways which makes such a difference. Under cabinet lighting, expansive kitchens with pantries, pull out trash cabinets, disposals, large bathrooms and huge walk in closets are all also available. Most of the items I just listed are not common in these types of communities unless you are in the “upgraded style” units on the top floors or paying much more per month.Aside from the units, the building itself was truly beautiful and very impressive. 3 or 4 different courtyards each offering something different in addition to a 5th common area up on the top floor - an outdoor roof deck and indoor rooftop lounge hangout area. I’d have friends come over and we’d use the games courtyard that had fire pits and yard games, and we’d always have the whole courtyard to ourselves. The pool courtyard has an incredible club like cabana with outdoor TV and lounge areas. Very awesome but usually pretty busy/full.The only downsides about the building/community in my view was just how many kids/children lived there. I found myself staying away from the pool courtyard as it was always filled with children running around, riding their scooters, playing tag etc and always unsupervised. Same goes for the 5th floor roof top lounge and deck - it was always filled with teenagers and young children escaping their parents/apartments. There’s a review on here where a mother even says how great the community is because their children and children’s friends had there own hangout area on the 5th floor lounge. Having just moved there from a downtown Boston Avalon, I may simply have just not been used to ever living in a community with so many children - and this may be the norm in the suburbs I’m sure.The second and final downside is that there is a cost for parking. I found this to be very odd considering it’s located in the suburbs and everyone living down there has a car. The only parking the community offers is in its garage under the building (which is very large and convenience) but they charge I believe $85 per month to park in it. The only other parking option is in the 15-20 parking spaces out front, but that’s mostly just for guest parking and for future tenants visiting the leasing office. It’s common for communities in more urban areas to either charge for parking because most don’t even have cars that live there, or to have a garage that cost to park in, and an exterior surface lot that doesn’t cost. I could see if Avalon had to build a totally separate parking structure, or had to rent spaces from the ferry lot, but the garage is literally part of the building, so it’s not as though there is an extra cost there. If there needs to be a cost, it should be nominal, like $10 per month or something.Finally, I had a great experience with the leasing team. Liz showed me around and had such a great energy and passion. She pointed out all the great things about the unit and community and was great at making conversation and making me feel welcome and comfortable. She communicated with me on a regular basis throughout the whole process and was very patient. What’s more, after just a few months living there, I informed Liz that I’d need to break my lease as I was being moved for work. Normally, this is when leasing agents/property managers pull out their devil horns and become rude and unfriendly - but not Liz. She was totally understanding and helpful through the move out and transfer process.Overall would highly recommend Avalon Residences to anyone considering the area. I miss it everyday and is a great bang for your buck.

My family unfortunately suffered a fire to our home and as a result needed a temporary place to stay. We chose Avalon in Hingham which was the best choice for us and our dogs. Liz Tronni was extremely sympathetic and quickly found us the perfect apartment for our needs. Liz was professional, organized and made our transition seamless, which was welcomed after such a stressful time in our lives.

Living at the Avalon Shipyard for the past 18 months has been a great experience. The building is beautiful, the amenities are top shelf and the staff is amazing. Its nice when the staff, Liz and Colleen, actually get to know you and are on a first name basis with you. The maintenance staff is on site and the few little fixes we needed were done the same day. The location could not be better as you can walk to restaurants and markets and anything you need is within a 5 minute drive. My favorite thing is the state of the art gym, with a Peleton!, and a private room for video classes. I highly recommend Avalon Shipyard!

I moved to Avalon Residences at the Hingham Shipyard because of its fine reputation and its great location. I’ve experienced an exceptional staff and gracious living. Situated within walking distance to stores, restaurants and the ferry to Boston, the apartments are spacious and state-of-the art and the amenities include beautiful common areas, a stunning pool, fitness center and garage parking. From the leasing office to management to maintenance, everyone is well trained and extremely attentive to the residents. The building is impeccably maintained day in and day out. Our family of 3 just moved in to Avalon Residences at the Hingham Shipyard a little over a week ago and we are elated! We recently sold our house and couldn’t find the right home to replace ours in today’s market. That is until we found this gem! I was frantically looking for a rental and when I called the leasing office one of the agents, Liz, got our apartment ready to view safely within 10 minutes. I knew right away it was perfect and had my husband call the same day to get us in. The cleanliness, modern esthetic, and amenities are well worth the price. The finishes in our space are top notch and the convenience of the location is perfect for our family. If you are looking for a place on the South Shore this is a 10/10.

I relocated to MA over a year ago from out West. Bryanna Diamond, from the Avalon team was kind enough to do a FaceTime tour of a few apartments so we were comfortable. The Avalon team offered the first month free and flexibility to opt out of the lease with the first 30 days. We took a chance and glad we did. Liz Tronni, made sure we had everything needed the day of move in. Through the year, at the Avalon Residences at the Hingham Shipyard, we felt safe as the staff followed all the MA’s state Covid guidelines. Very attentive staff, clean, and modern apartments made it a place we liked calling home. Any service requests were easy to schedule and speedy to get done. Liz Tronni was our go to person as she made sure we had a pleasant stay.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for attentive staff, modern and clean apartments.

Love it here!! The staff are so friendly and helpful and put on various events throughout the year. It’s lovely to have such a community feel and I have made lots of friends for life here.The amenities are great: pool, gym, multiple courtyards, fire pits and bbqs. We moved into the Avalon Residences a little under 2 years ago, and havent looked back. Not only are the amenities top notch, but the response and maintenance during covid-19 was exceptional. The proactivity and avid upkeep wasnt surprising given the level of service weve been accustom to over this time. 1 minute walk to both the ferry into Boston as well as Lincoln Plaza, The Fresh Market, Trader Joes, Patriot Cinemas, and Stodders Neck (dog park on the water) etc.. easily 5 Stars

Liz was fantastic from the jump! We were looking for a temporary place to land as our home was being renovated. She walked us thru all available options and was able to expedite the process quickly. Her attention to detail is fantastic and made it so easy for us to move in. The Avalon Residences is very clean and bright and has a vacation-like feeling. The apartments themselves are beautiful and have a modern aesthetic. The staff weve encountered has been so responsive, courteous and has been going above and beyond in adhering to Covid protocols. If you are considering living here, you are a quick walk away from Fresh Market, Bed Bath & Beyond, CVS, OrangeTheory Fitness to name a few and some of great restaurants (Alma Nove, the flagship Wahlburgers location, Trident and Boathouse Bistro) Hingham has to offer. It is in close proximity to walking/running/biking at Bare Cove Park. You are steps from a 35 minute commuter boat ride away from Boston! Its going to be hard to leave with all of these conveniences and amenities.

Making the move to leave the city after so many years was a difficult one for us, but Liz made the final decision and transition an easy one. While giving us the tour she was quick to point out all of the great amenities that would make our experience living here a great one, like having our very own washer and dryer! We have been living here about 3 months now and Liz continues to be so helpful answering all of our questions!

We moved to Hingham from Florida and needed to get an address quickly to register our kids for school and the Avalon fit our needs perfectly; from the date to move in, having rental furniture set up for us, the proximity to the ferry, and the friendly staff team taking all the stress out of a typical move. My kids love the meeting room on the 5th floor, it has a pool table, and is like their hang out spot with friends. the gym is fantastic and has tons to offer. This was hands down the best decision to move here.

Moving here could not have been easier. Being able to walk to the commuter boat for my commute to work in Boston and walking to restaurants, shopping and movies has been wonderful. We did a broad search to seek a rental that felt like a home with excellent quality of construction and amenities. We found it (and more) at Avalon Residences at the Hingham Shipyard. The apartment is gorgeous with lots of natural light. The construction quality and materials used in the interior is far beyond other buildings we considered. The building amenities (gym, dog wash & dog park, lounge, pool) are amazing. Parking is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff, in particular Elizabeth Tronni, has been incredible responsive. We have not needed any help from the maintenance staff but the online system allows for easy notification and request for help. We struggled with the decision to leave Boston. Now we know we made the right choice. This building is located steps from the Hingham Ferry, plus many shops and restaurants. We love it here!

Back in June we moved our family from the west coast to the Avalon while looking for a more permanent home. While a big cross country can be daunting, Elizabeth Tronni insured a comfortable move-in and transition for our family. The facility is gorgeous and the amenities provide ample space for our 2 year old to run around and play.

Highly recommend Avalon Residences to everyone, especially those looking to move out of the city. Two grocery stores (Trader Joes and Fresh Market), plenty of restaurants, Hewitts Cove and the MBTA ferry - all within walking distance - make this an easy transition. Layouts are extremely well thought out - I recommend a 2br/2bath outside-corner unit. Liz and the rest of the crew are always friendly, hospitable and attentive. AC is super efficient; pool, gym and package room also a plus.Some units on the Lincoln St side can be noisy (nearly soundproof windows though so not a huge deal) and if youre on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th floor and have upstairs neighbors without carpet, youll likely hear them when vacuuming or moving something. That being said, weve been on the 3rd floor for almost 2 years and never regretted our choice.

Was a little nervous moving out of the city but love this area, the building and the amenities. So close to the ferry and everything in the shipyard. Liz was so helpful with moving in and has continued to check in periodically.

Its only been a week, but everything has been great so far! The staff has been incredibly helpful and it was one of the easiest moving experiences I have had (which is a lot). Cant wait for summer and the pool!

We have been here about a month and have zero complaints. The Avalon Residences at the Hingham Shipyard has exceeded our expectations in all areas – accommodations, amenities, friendliness of everyone working here, etc. Liz Tronni and the team helped us find the perfect apartment for our family. As a family we get a lot of packages and deliveries and coming from the city its so nice to know our packages are safely stored until we pick them up and they even have the Amazon lock boxes here. We are also very excited to enjoy some of the other amenities like the pool and play spaces this summer!

I’ve lived in a number of well managed new buildings and this is by far the highest quality of professionals and maintenance I’ve experienced.

We’ve been absolutely pleased with the Avalon Residences at Hingham Shipyard since moving in eight weeks ago. We initially chose this location over many other alternatives because we liked the new construction, beautiful interior with new appliances and kitchen island, floor-to-ceiling windows which allow for abundant natural light in the unit, and the long list of amenities (roof deck, pool, courtyards, common lounges, gym, dog spa) offered here that aren’t available at other nearby rentals. The location is also spectacular with the commuter boat, shops and restaurants all in walking distance, and Hingham Square less than a five minute drive. Since moving here we’ve also been pleased to experience a great sense of community and diversity of renters. And what ties all the elements of this great experience together has been Liz, Bryanna and Colleen in the front office. From day one Liz has been our “go-to” person and has always been knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly responsive in answering questions or solving issues. We may be here longer than originally contemplated!

My husband and I recently relocated back to Massachusetts from NYC. We met with Liz at Avalon to tour apartments and ended up signing the lease that day. Liz along with everyone else from the Residences at Avalon offices were incredibly helpful with the entire process. The apartment we chose is perfect for what we need and we cannot wait to use the outside amenities once the weather changes. We recommend the building for the amenities, the finishes, and the ease. The building is beautiful and you can’t beat the location. Liz made the process easy, was very accommodating and always got back to me quickly whenever I had a question. She definitely helped lower the stress that comes with moving. The gentlemen that work on the maintence crew are also amazing as they are always pleasant and very helpful.

Ive lived here at Avalon Residences for two and a half weeks now. So far its been wonderful. I had a good experience moving in, it was easy using the elevators and dollys to move all my stuff in. The people in the front office have always been polite and helpful. Great experience so far!

Avalon Residences offer apartment living at its best. Flexible leases, wonderful amenities, including a great gym and beautiful outdoor pool, and great common spaces to grill, relax and watch TV. Maintenance staff and office staff are extremely professional, responsive, and care about the residents.

The Residence at Avalon has exceeded my expectations so far. Liz Tronni, the rental agent, was knowledgeable and great to work with. She must have taken us to see 10 different units until we finally selected one that fit our needs. The building is always clean and neat. Despite some of the ongoing construction at the other end of the building, I dont notice any noise or disruption. The building has some great amenities, like the gym, the Sky Lounge, and other community areas that we have already taken advantage of. Looking forward to the warmer weather when we get to use the pool.

We have recently moved into the Avalon housing at Shipyard and couldnt be happier. Bryanna and the staff have been great offering us information on the property and making our transition smooth. The added areas such as the pool and rooftop patio offers many things to do with our downtime.

We moved from Hewitts and couldn’t be happier here. Bryanna, Colleen and Liz-the front office admin are super friendly, receptive to questions and concerns. I love they actually know who the residents are! Maintenance Tyler, Rich and team hustle all day long /7 days a week to keep this place in perfect shape. It is a very well maintained living environment Pool is gorgeous!! The outdoor grilling area is a modern resort type setting. There are 2 open areas to use or rent. One by the pool and the other on the fifth floor with gorgeous sunset and water views. What’s not to love!!

UPDATE 4/28/2021:Extremely pleased with the service and care of this building under Elizabeth Tronni. She made a huge impact on our decision to extend our lease - in fact, move to a larger unit. She went out of her way to guide us and answer all our questions expeditiously. Thank you Liz…PREVIOUS REVIEW:I was about to choose living at another place and I am glad I decided to come over and check the Residences at the Hingham Shipyards. I’m spoiled and happy to come back home every day....This place is exactly what I was looking for. The building is always clean, staff is very professional and friendly, amenities are superb and the interior spaces (apartments and comunal) are exceptional. I know I will enjoy my summer weekend/nights lounging around the building.One last thing, kudos to the team, particularly Bryanna. 👍🏻
