Ive been coming here for some months. So far my therapist is good the nurse practitioner is good. Heres where I get a bad taste. I got to the right window and give the lady the paperwork. Im showing myself as friendly. She doesnt ask me what time or day works best for my next appointment. She came off somewhat nasty as if Im bothering her. As I stated she sits on the right when you walk in. Her hair is pulled back in a ponytail and she has an earring in her nose. None of that bothers me,its the lack consideration and professionalism that caused me to address this.

Absolutely horrible. The receptionist Renee is SO rude. The process of getting simple medication for a tricare beneficiary is terrible. Had to schedule multiple initial appointments. I assume it was so that they could bill the government multiple times. Gotta maximize that profit even if it is at the cost of a young autistic child.

I wanted to give this place one star, but Im giving it 2 because it was the only mental health clinic that could get me in ASAP due to walk ins being available. The nurse practitioner spent the entire visit staring into her computer while asking me a series of questions. Never really made eye contact. Im fully aware that she needed to ask questions and type my information though. She did not show any compassion towards issues in my life. The receptionist staff seem lazy to me. They scheduled me 3 more appointments without asking when I wanted to be seen again or the times of the day that work best for me.

Started taking my children here in 2008 or 2009. The staff is totally nice, polite. They all will help yall any way they can. They deserve more kindness and respect from some patients. Thank yall at liberty county gateway behavioral health.

Most of the receptionists are rude and have poor attitudes. I wait at least 20 - 30 minutes each time I go past my actual appointment time. And when you say something about it, youll get an attitude and theyll make up reasons why. I was seeing a psychiatrist when I first started going here a couple years ago and then one day Im seeing an RN. What!?! This is sadly one of a couple mental health places in liberty county, so either way, youre not going to get good service and if you do, congratulations!!Do Not Recommend Gateway.

The counselor I had was amazing, and that’s the only good thing about this place anymore. The staff is rude and the do not have an actual physiatrist. I had to go on several trials of different medications that did not help me, and their solution was to just up the dosage. Then they put me on a medication that interacted with my other one, so I was very dizzy, tired, and kind of loopy. After this incident, I quit taking all of my medications because it was clear that they didn’t know what they were doing. Now I’m a patient at Horizon Behavioral Health, which has a better staff and actual doctors. All in all, do not go to Gateway in Hinesville.

I moved here with my husband from New York so I was needing to get everything switched over to here. I was already on medication and had been seeing a therapist for over a year. I called and was told to get there early in the morning to get an appointment. I did. She told me to come back at 11. I did. I was seen by a lady who literally made me out to be a drug addict. She told me that the medication I was taking was addictive and they DO NOT prescribe that here. I was ok with switching medications but not right then. She refused to fill my prescription. She never once looked at me or was even sympathetic toward my background information you have to provide. I left there office in tears because she made me feel worse than I already do. I understand that different states have different guide lines when in comes to medicines but being down right hateful to someone who has severe anxiety disorder did not make my time there enjoyable. I ended up canceling all my future appointments and calling my PCM for a refill on my medication. My PCM was even confused as to why she would take me off my medication after being on it for over a year. They honestly deserve no stars.

The Drs are ok but my only Complaint is about the caseworker who is over the job program . Her name started with a M and she talked down to me and was extremely rude but she was smart because she made sure she stayed behind the glass while she did so . I told the Dr why I left the office and she proceeded to make a smart comment and I proceeded to inform her that if I would have been in a room with that woman and she talked down to me like that I would go to jail . But karma is coming her way because she will be rude to the right one and get what she deserves.

I wouldve given this a 5 star, but it does have a couple problems. When you are scheduled with the doctor expect to be seen at least 15-30 minutes after your appointment time. I find the staff pleasant. I have a great counselor. The doctor works with you on your meds. The front staff has to deal with a lot of problem clients so they can be grumpy from time to time. Its a reduced or free clinic depending on your income, and out of all the clinics of this type that Ive been to, this is by far one of the best ones.

Excluding some of the front desk staff, everyone I’ve come in contact with at Gateway has been a pleasure to talk to. Anne Marie has been great during therapy and really helps me work though issues with an open mind, even on my worst days. I’m also thankful for the help of Dr. Deuser who got me on track with the right medication and always welcomed me with a smile. Both of them are professional, timely and take pride in their job. I highly recommend Gateway for those who are struggling with mental health and don’t know where to begin. Start here and the staff will guide you through everything. Thank you!

Love this place, they have been very helpful with getting me back on track with my mental health needs. I just moved back here after being away for years upon years and the transfer from my old health care place in Valdosta has been smooth.Love the docs here made me feel welcome.

Ive only been once but will soon be going back. The wait was a tad long but other than that all the staff treated me with a smile on there face. Ive never found a doctor that I wanted to talk bout my issues with but the doctor there really listen to me and didnt make me feel like I was broken. For the first time in forever I finally get out and enjoy life

How do I go from seeing a psychiatrist, to seeing a Nurse practitioner!?! No one called to inform me that they would no longer have psychiatrists. Just show up and Im talking to a screen with someone from Brunswick! Psychiatrists go to school a lot longer than a nurse practitioner. Unacceptable!!! But its my last resort unfortunately because Hinesville Georgia doesnt believe in helping people that have mental health issues.

It is irresponsible and dangerous to have a mental health practice set up with a fcfs new patient system instead of appointments. The staff is rude and untrained. Unfrotunatly the other choices for providers in Hinesville are as bad if not worse. Try to get referred in Savannah if possible.

Receptionist was incredibly rude and they make it all but impossible to get a new appointment for your child. Pick a different office than this one.
