If you have a choice to select a different company, please do. Unfortunately companies that know you dont have a choice due to state / county regulations take advantage of their customers. A free economy that promotes competition is the best way to get the best customer service.

Maybe my 3rd review ever in my life & my first ever experience with Walker Garbage has not been great. When I called last week to confirm a new service I did find it odd that it went straight to voicemail & that I didn’t get someone right away. Seems they may be understaffed which may explain the real lack of focus on customer service. Nice to know they are reminding you every time you call that their rates have gone up. Clearly not to improve customer relations.I needed a can at my new home & the first woman I spoke with confirmed they could deliver one on Monday & that I could begin billing the following week. She was actually pleasant & seemingly helpful. Monday was crucial as I’m unpacking & going through a lot of garbage. When I called yesterday to confirm the drop off another woman gave me completely new & different information. She said they would never give you a specific drop off date & that the new can would arrive sometime this week, hopefully by Friday, 5 days later. She said our wires must of been crossed. I clearly tried to explain no wires were crossed, our conversation was very straight forward & no additional context was provided whatsoever about a 1 week delivery window.Somehow I expected her to make good on the promise or find a better solution for the information I was given. Clearly she didn’t care & HUNG UP ON ME while I stood on the other line completely empty handed. They got their wires crossed & clearly need to improve communication on their side. I would have made a different decision if I had the right information.Never one problem or experience with my old trusted garbage company 😢 Do better Walker

Worst customer service of any company I know. Been a customer for 31 years because we cant choose our garbage collectors. Accounting supervisor hung up on me today when I requested her to waive a $1.50 late fee because my credit card on auto pay expired. I was not notified that the charge didnt go through, I was just charged the fee. For 31 years, every 4 years the credit card expires and she said since she already waived the fee once, she could not do it again. So I guess for $1.50 Walker Garbage could have avoided all the bad reviews I can share and leave on social media. They dont care. They just hang up on you. WORST customer service ever!. I request a call from the owner.

I have been paying for garbage services but not receiving them. When I call, I’m told the drivers said my garbage wasn’t out (but it was) and I’d need to pay extra. When I explained that I’m not interested, the woman on the phone literally started acting as though she was my mother — telling me how to act. I was clear & form & unwilling to allow her to ignore me. I literally have recycling piled up in my garage because this is a repeated pattern, very unhappy & searching for other options...oh right, there are none.

Wish I could leave zero stars. Ive trying been to get hold of these people stealing my damn money. when I clearly dont have extra bags out on the street and they try to charge me $5.00 per bag so now Im charged $20 for 4 ghost bags. that I know for a fact were not on the street I watched them pick my garbage up. They also said I would have to call if I have extra bags I had that requested yet we have the same problem. Yo owe me money and you better call me to fix this. This is the second time Ive been charged from previous months. Very unprofessional. This is my first ever review so the fact Im making this review means you guys need to fix your services asap.

I just called to tell them that someone had added a large bag to my garbage, large enough to lift the lid all the way and overflow the pail. I was told that if I dont want to be charged I should remove it. And do what with it? Well I cant tell you that.

We’ve been served by Walker Garbage for 30 years now, and ALWAYS been satisfied! It has to be a pretty spectacular bad weather day for them not to be here to pick things up.....every Monday for 30 years!I was reminded of how lucky we are when I was staying at my parents’ house for a month this summer (another state) and their garbage and recycling service was VERY iffy to say the least. Sometimes, things just didn’t get picked up for days.....and this is a fairly common occurrence. That would NEVER be the case with Walker Garbage. :)

Seeing all the negative reviews made me want to speak up. Ive had walker for about 2 years. I’ve screwed up several times and forgotten to get my trash and recycling out to the road. A quick call to Walker, i get a nice human right away, They return and they have never charged me an extra fee. I’ve left plenty of extra boxes and recycling neatly outside the can and they always take it with no fee. For an extra few bucks a month, they even drive down my long and steep driveway to pick up my trash, which is a huge relief during any time of year (but especially in the winter).I’d suggest that the people who have written such scathing reviews have never lived in a big city before, or they’re just total whiners. If you had, or u weren’t, you would see that these guys provide excellent service. As opposed to coming out of your apartment in San Francisco or New York to a street covered in tipped garbage cans in and out of the street, and garbage everywhere. There’s nothing wrong with walker sanitary.

Im kind of surprised by all of these bad reviews. We receive residential service, and have never had a problem. We set garbage out, they pick up, and repeat... The drivers wave at my young sons who go crazy at the sight of a garbage truck. When I have questions about anything, I have always received a polite and prompt response. Id say they are worth 5 stars.

My complex has had Walker garbage since before the 2016 snow, they are awful. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming the weather has their pickup backed up and thats why our trash cans are over flowing. That was until the weather cleared and the trash really became a nuisance, I cant count how many times Ive seen the garbage truck drive by and completely ignore our overflowing trash can.Ive called my management who claim theyve called Walker, Ive even called Walker myself once and the woman claimed she would have the driver turn around and pick up the missed trash can (never happened).And now months into service, they are still missing our trash.Im legitimately concerned when the summer heats up, theres going to be pests and an awful smell.The photo I added is the trash strewn about after Walker finally picked up this overflowing can, the guy looked at the mess he made and just went to his truck and drove off. No time to do a good job? Its his fault the trash overflowed in the first place and he cant even be bothered to pick up his mess.Never had any of these issues with Waste Management.Avoid Walker Garbage at all costs.

Weve had Walker Garbage Service for many years and have never had a problem. We appreciate their good service. Wonderful people who deserve high praise.

Significantly improved review as of April 2020. We are in the middle of a Pandemic and they keep picking up garbage and recycling! Thank you. I had some issues long ago with their billing system-- now they have a proper website and billing system. They are better at picking up the phone during business hours, and if they dont pick up, I get call back.

Walker refuses to pick up the garbage in my neighborhood due to snow, even though the roads are clear.Once again, Walker did not pick up our garbage or recycling due to snow.It has been 4 days and every day Amazon has delivered packages and we have had no problem getting out.Snow is not new or unpredictable- Walker needs to figure out how to deal with it so it does not stop our service.

I am surprised by the bad reviews as well. I have had nothing but prompt and friendly service at a very reasonable price. Walker Garbage, please keep up the great service and disregard the negativity.

We recently moved to our new location. We had about 25-30 totally recyclable boxes. They came over, but did not collect them, as they did not fit in their residential truck. I sent them an email and asked for advice. When I woke up in the morning, the boxes were already gone. They had sent a big truck to collect the boxes. We were really happy with their service. At the end of the month, they charged us for about $250!!! If we knew that they are gonna charge us for $250, we would never ever asked for help. They came over and collected the boxes without telling us about the cost.

Walker garbage services goes above and beyond to help their customers. I have never had a problem with them. They have actually been so supportive in times when needed most! Thank you for always taking care of us.

Wish I could give them NO STARS! its not hard to pick up garbage properly and place the cans back in their respective spots, NOT in the middle of our driveway on a very busy street. And then they have the audacity to call and complain that our cans were within 3 feet of our mailbox, when I know theres no way they were. Wish we could switch garbage companies!! What a ridiculous racket! No wonder yall dont even have 3 stars! What a joke of a business

One of the most unprofessional companies Ive ever dealt with. This morning they didnt pick up my cans but managed to take all the neighbors cans. When I called to request a swing back through to pick up they refused. Their nonchalant attitude came through loud and clear on the phone. They dont give a damn about their customers and offer mediocre service. If you have another option for a garbage company take it!

Ive been a satisfied Walker Garbage customer for 24 years! I was surprised to see a low rating for their company today when I used Google to reach out to them to have my yard debris receptacle replaced. The employees that work in Terra Linda are so friendly and professional! They are reliable, and respectful of the walkers, cars, kids on bikes and all the activity that goes on in our neighborhood. When we had a dog for 14 years they would give her a treat when she went out to see them. Its nice to have a local company that I can support and does a great job. Thank you Walker Garbage! We have used Walker Garbage for 40 years also, and have never had a complaint and always found their service to be perfect. We have to move out of the area and will miss this level of service, I am sure!

Amazing this company doesnt own any snow chainsmy lumber trucks are delivering in town and the West hillsits been slow but all has went with out a hitch the last two days . UPS is running steady aswell

We have had Walker Garbage service for over 40 years and their service has always been excellent. There have been amazingly few glitches over the years. They are great.

Terrible Service. These idiots have been charging me for 3 months after i moved to california. Good luck trying to get one of them on the phone to discuss billing issues. Not to mention they will try and charge you for the bins. Thats like their number one way of getting money out of people who move out of state. I wonder how many times my bins have been paid for.

The drivers are both awesome and friendly

They miss pick ups all the time in my neighborhood. They just missed the pick up in my house today. I tried to call them but they wouldnt listen and told me that I am going to have to wait for next week. This is ridiculous. They are not cheap and dont do their job. We should have more companies that do the same job in my neighborhood. Without competition they con do whatever they want. They are terrible and dishonest.

Walker does the minimum and spills garbage on the street. When the weather is marginal expect no service.

Today some of my trash was left on the ground when the worker dropped bags and failed to pick them up, leaving my neighbor to drive over broken glass and me to pick up and wash my driveway. Is there no training for your workers ?

Their office hours are listed as 8:00AM to 4:30PM. They really meant 10:30AM to 2:25PM with a 3:12 minute lunch.
