This is in reference to the Hilliard Ohio officeI have just canceled this service . for the 5th time this year they have sprayed my neighbors yard. not my yard. I have repeatedly called the office and get the national level who takes all my information down.. they assure me this will be fixed and will take this to the next level to make sure this never happens again hahaha. I have described my house to the operator so notes can be added.. I have signs posted that this is my house. Ive given them colors of my house.. my house has a sign on it with my name on it.. but yet they continue to perform services on my neighbors yard. I do not understand this ..this is not recent this has happened within the last 1 and a 1/2 years. Ive had this service now for 3 years. they have planted some kind of alien grass in my yard after the last fertilizer application .I now have dinner plate size patches all over my yard.. They have promised to fix this by giving me grass seed and I can kill those spots myself and fix my own lawnπ€―.. but yet their service is the one that did this to my lawn ..I dont know what to tell you folks they cannot seem to get it together.. Do not use the Hilliard Ohio office I dont know what else to say so sad that a business is being run this way and you cant talk to anybody on the local level they dont even publish their number where you can even call them you get the national good luck
I have had to call twice this summer for βre-serviceβ because the technician either didnβt complete the application at all, or only did a partial application. On both occasions the tech marked the application as completed and I was billed for the FULL amount of a regular application. If I hadnβt been home to see it with my own eyes and then call in to get it corrected, I would have been completely ripped off. I no longer trust this company to do what Iβm paying them for. Also, when calling customer service, the typical hold time is 30-45 min. Ridiculous. Then I get a foreign rep who doesnβt really understand me or my problem.
This company is a joke not one time has anyone knocked on my door to say hey Iβm here. Even after I have requested to be notified when they are here I have 2 big dogs that are always in my backyard that are territorial. I have cameras in my back yard tht record and Iβm also home all day they have never came to my backyard to spray. Or asked for access to my backyard itβs a waste of money. And to talk to a supervisor is nearly impossible because of Covid they cannot transfer calls. Donβt use this company
Service product is excellent, would like to be able to share the same with new rep but some people skills need to improve
I canceled my service before it even started. The customer service was not good and when I called back questioning if the service that I paid for was legit (as I never received an email stating that I signed up for the service), it seemed as though I was a bother to the representative. My asking questions was due to the fact that I just paid $600 for annual services, sorry to bother you with my curiosity..
June 16 and still have not sprayed my weeds
I was interested in using this company for lawn care but after I provided them my information to contact me at a later date, I received no fewer than five calls within the an hour an a half. I asked to be contacted at a later date because it was after 7pm on a weeknight and I was getting my daughter ready for bed. Now, I wont be using this company.
TruGreen has wonderful service and appear on property when they said they will (weather permitting of course). They are thorough and care a great deal about the job they do for me. Ive have used them for a number of years and Ill be using them again next year.
Trying to contact their customer support last two days, always more then 2hr wait, especially near closing hours, cant reach live person at all.
I originally was quoted several lawn fertilizationβs, aeration, and overseeding. The first application was completed - I was over charged a substantial amount had to call and get corrected and was told at that time the next treatment would be in 4 weeks and the aeration would be completed before September 15. On September 21 I had not heard a word about the aeration or the second treatment so I called again. This time the lady tells me that the aeration and overseeding will be completed by Jeremy on Friday the 25th and the fertilization would be done next Tuesday. On the 24th I get a call stating that Jeremy will be out to for the aeration and overseeding on the 25th between 11 - 4, so thatβs good finally they are going to do something they said....nope at 3:55 no one has showed up - so I call again and this time the lady says he is still scheduled to be there and is working till 7 so he will still be out. Guess what still a no show no call. I call this morning the 26th to find out what happened and a rude lady says I donβt show you on the schedule at all nor a reschedule. So when can it be done - βI donβt knowβ is the response, clearly they have enough customers and donβt care.
Cant get thru on the phone
They are a scam. I paid in full for fertilizer and weed control for the season and the first service went well. The second service I was skeptical if any product was even applied so for the third service I made sure my security cameras were on while I was away at work. The tech showed up placed the flag in the yard and hung the door hanger on my front door and left. A few minutes later i was notified that the service was complete. After looking at the camera footage he never even stepped into my yard. I called to cancel my service and get my money back. BUYER BEWARE. Terrible company. I am also not the first one this has happened to. Read the reviews.
Apparently, its acceptable to the company to mow lawns at 7 am in the morning. Follow noise ordinances!
So far after 3 treatments our lawn is looking much better. Me and my hubby had no idea how to control the crab grass that had overtaken our lawn. We tried to DIY last year and made a mess of it. Best decision to call the pros.
The WORST when it comes to customer service. You never speak to anyone local no matter what number you call and they promise to call back or have a manager review your request within 24 hours but never do. Very unprofessional, will not be renewing my contract.
Poor poor service! Killed my shrubs, weeds and weeds still in my yard! I have had them for two years so I gave them a fair chance. The straw that broken the camels back is the billing error that charge my account 6 times more than what I should have been charged and they are taking the sweet old time fixing it. Beware.. stay with a local company.
With only 2 treatments so far, there is already a remarkable difference. Grass looks greener and healthier.
Iβve used TruGreen in the past and Iβve always thought that they were adequate, though not great. This year, they over fertilized my lawn in the middle of over a month without rain and most of it died. Itβs now a patchy mess full of weeds that theyβve serviced, but done nothing effective for. My neighbors donβt use any lawn service and theyβre laughing at me because itβs so bad. I tried calling and was promised a call back from our service guy, which has never happened. I wonβt be making the mistake of using a non local company again, because they just donβt care.
Overall Ive been extremely pleased with my TruGreen tree/shrub treatments when Shawn Wears is the specialist. I appreciate him taking a few moments to discuss what he will be doing, along with listening to my observations/concerns with my trees/shrubs. He definitely cares for the customer and he is a keeper for TruGreen - a person I definitely want servicing my trees/shrubs. Note that my not giving a rating of 5 is NOT a reflection on Shawn Wears. He is definitely top-notch. But I see far too many inconsistencies with the other side of my TruGreen treatments - my lawn care. This year I have yet to have anywhere near the confidence in the lawn specialists that have come to my home, as I have had confidence and respect of Shawn Wears. While at times those other guys have done a good job, based on my overall witnessing of their work, I dont feel I can fully trust them to perform the work properly without me looking on. That is definitely not the case with Shawn Wears. Keep up the excellent work on the tree/shrub side, and I look forward to continuing improvements on the lawn care service side. That will get a 5 rating out of me. Thanks![And as others have noted - yes, the mosquito treatment marketing by TruGreen is out of control. So annoying at times that it makes me think about dropping their other services. Not sure they understand when enough is enough! TruGreen management, are you listening? I know that even some of their specialists have been called upon to make these annoying calls. Not sure about the specialist I mention above, but I definitely have recognized others that have treated my lawn also making these calls.]
The lawn shows significant improvement after wrongly being be application and the lawn analysis summary was clear and complete. My only complaint is I used the app to try to communicate with an agent regarding the next scheduled appt date and no one ever got back to me.
Always hustling me for more services. How am I gonna pay my bills? I get paid commission. One salesperson told me.How about if you kept my lawn weed free? Thats all I want and you cant do that.
After three years of service I finally dropped the yard portion as they never showed up and constantly had billing issues. I kept the tree and shrub feature and again, they constantly missed trees and I had to have them come back. Well a couple months back, they drenched two maples and a pine. The pine died and the two maples are still in severe recovery. I disputed paying for the service and they said they would have a manager come out. Guess what, he did not show. Again, I called and again they had a manager call me who wanted me to leave work early to meet and discuss. I showed up at 2:30, low and behold another no show. I come home today and I have a note that trugreen has sent me to collections. Well game on Tru green because now Im sending my attorney for you for tree damages and replacement of everything you killed. Ill spend money on principal alone at this point. Im tired of this companies pulling this kind of stuff and knowing those less fortunate will just pay.
Ive had this company treating my lawn for 3+ years- Things started off great but over the years the service has gone down- Ive become tired of calling the office in order to get satisfaction- Weeds return and they dont seem to care- My recent aeration resulted in patches of my lawn being torn up- I would not recommend them-
This rating is for my experience on the phone with this company as I did not proceed with services because of this. My lawn is a mess I bought my home late in August last year and I decided to seek professional help this spring to see what can be done. I called TruGreen as they are as I understand the old chem lawn that existed when I was young and had always done my familyβs lawns. Iβm grown up and have my first yard so naturally I go back to the company that served us well in the past. I fill out an online survey and revive a call 60 seconds later. I described my problems and the man on phone described a plan to solve my problems it was of course all sold in high commitment package deals and he basically wanted to sell me a package period. I explained I like the plan but before I agree to service I need to call a few places first to just see whatβs out there but that I would most likely go with this company. He replied that I will find cheaper but that they are the best company period and I will get what I pay for, fair enough I requested he call me back later In the evening. I receive a call later and itβs a new representative and it was all down hill from there. I spoke with the new representative and described what the other man had told me and he was immediately confused and was not sure I could even have some service performed such as lawn aeration at this time. He quickly tried to figure out what the other representative was trying to sell me and quickly realized he was selling a more expensive plan and all of sudden that service was now available. We talked about pest control as well and he started quoting me for those service as well and my quote for these services quickly got out of hand and at one point he had me quoted for over 1200$ in services. At this point I was annoyed as I previously understood an expert would come out and survey my problems and would come up with a detailed plan from there. It was now apparent that he was not concerned with anything but signing me up for a package and getting my credit card. When the subject of payment came up there were two options presented pay all at once for a substantial discount or do the easy pay monthly reoccurring charge. First of all you most be crazy to think Iβm going to pay for the years service for a package that Iβm not even sure or you for that matter think I need. I explained that Iβm not comfortable with a monthly reoccurring charge either as I know how hard these are to stop if your not happy or do not want the services any more. I explained with most house services I pay for the service when rendered and itβs usually a bill that I pay afterward and repeat visits will occur if Iβm happy with the service. He reluctantly explained that this is also an option but all of the good discounts they had did not allow this method of transaction. I explained that I feel a discount that is given only when your locked in with a prepared package or a monthly reoccurring fee is not really a discount if you donβt end up needing all of the service being sold in it and itβs really not a discount at all. I would not have a problem with this kind of discount if this company offered this after they came over to do the assessment of my lawn and applied the first treatment, but this company was ready to sell me anything and it did not seem to care if I actually needed it. By trying to sell me a plan payed in full without seeing my lawn is a joke and itβs outrageous to seek a long term agreement with anybody without seeing how good of job they do. I was very disappointed in how this company wished to do business with me and they could be the best lawn company. The fact of the matter for me is that I donβt business with people who are just trying to get me signed up and donβt really care to take the time to assess what is needed before trying to sell me something. Your services should be worth what there worth and long term agreements with clients are earned through establishment of good services and should never be offered on first contact.

Lawn care was fine, but be warned .. they will call you every other week trying to sell you additional services. If you cancel, theyll call every other month trying to get you to sign back up. They also will not stop calling until you threaten them with the BBB. I asked to be removed 5 times and they still called back, at which time I told them if they solicited me one more time I was going to report them to the BBB. This was 3 weeks ago, so Im still waiting to see if they call me yet again. Now Im writing a review because suddenly Im receiving text messages for mortgage readjustments. Not sure if they sold my phone number, but given their business practices, I wouldnt be surprised.
I have been a trugreen customer for 3 years until now, they have done well with my lawn. However the new staff has been extremely pushy with additional lawn services for my trees and shrubs at additional charges. This morning they came though and cut all of my flowers down and had the audacity to claim it was insect damage. These sleazy business tactics are absolutely ridiculous. As of right now I am no longer a customer and would advise anyone else in the area to steer clear.
Extremely aggressive sales tactics calling 30 times a day. When you tell them that you sorry you are no longer interested they hang up.
Today 8/30/18 was my first scheduled service. I paid for the TruMaintenance Plan and all I got was 5 minutes of a technician, Dontrelle E.βs time. I have a video recording and email evidence showing he arrived at 12:07 pm and completed the job at 12:12pm. Completion of the job entailed getting out of his van and placing a stack in the yard, then going back to the van to grab a door hanger stating the job was completed. He didnβt even once walk into the backyard. This is terrible service and I am already considering cancelling my plan.Future advise. If you are going to screw someone over at least make sure they donβt have a camera with your face on it. POOR SERVICE!
My grass is the greenest of green. They are working hard to kill a tough stran of dandellines. The grass is really a beautiful green and looks healthy and thick
Horrible sales reps. Filled out form to get pricing and sales rep called me. A lady called me and tried to hard sell me their service. When I told her I was waiting on a quote from another company she hung up on me. Im in utter shock. Super rude!
Not a good first impression. Filled out info online to get an estimate for services and got 4 phone calls within 2 hours with no messages left. No caller ID was showing. When I called the number back to find out who it was, it was TruGreen, who proceeded to explain that they do not leave messages. Told them to take me off the call list...was told that it would take 1-2 weeks. So does that mean in the 13 hour telemarketing day I can now expect 26 calls per day, for 7-14 days? Very poor first impression. The lawn care may be ok, but the customer phone experience needs a lot of work to weed out the process.
I Hiram to do my long hair are Sapphire I spent over $200 and I still have weeds in my grass and crabgrass and when I called to complain that like its no big deal

This branch is not worth being in business their employees lie about what they do an will charge you for appointments done wrong I had to fire them due to over charging an adding things in we did not need my yard is left a mess an complaints have been filed
They have harassed me and my wife for 2 weeks. Multiple, almost insulting, calls from different callers.And they continue to call after repeatedly telling them to remove us from their call list. Ill never use or recommend them again.
