I enjoyed thrift shopping and this site allows me to decide what I’m willing to pay for something. I’m impressed by the detailed descriptions of the jewelry because it includes the GIA grading of diamonds and gems. I’ve purchased gently used clothing for my daughter and some items still had the store tags. My recent purchase of an area rug fit perfectly and the colors are wonderful. This site has the most unique offerings.

I have had generally great service over the years. The packing is excellent, as is the shipping. The quality of the items offered is high.If there would be anything to be improved, I would say that it would be the photography and description of some items. It is not always easy to judge the size of some things, despite the measurements given. I think that there should be a measurement standard supplied in the photos, such as a ruler.It would also help to show more detail on such things as sewing machines -- the presence or absence of a bobbin case on a Singer Featherweight (model 221) can mean a difference in value of close to $100.Incidentally, any difficulties, such as missing items or shipping damages have always been resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Love the online experience and shipping, for the most part was very impressive. Only issue was 2 bowls were packed together, without padding in between and one broke. Everything else was packaged very impressively, you took a lot of care to make sure things arrive whole! But just one misstep. I will be using you again, I’m a big fan!!!

I love EBTH! The site is well curated and draws from some of the best collections at a comfortable price point. The more you follow, the better you are able to spot the deals as well as the must-haves. Sometimes the bidding gets ... excessive, but that is a touch of reality. I cant wait for post=pandemic when I hope regional operations will pick up again!

For me living on the West Coast the price for shipping is a big factor in what I purchase on this site. That being said, everything I bid on and won has arrived professionally packed and as advertised. I would say that the items were not investment grade (provenance and condition and age important) but they are not advertise as such. The website is professionally done and easy to navigate which is big plus. I check this site daily.

Ive followed this site since its very beginning and admired their ability offer an on-line auction. I enjoy cruising the offerings and have purchased quite a few. The purchasing experience has been great, but Im giving it three stars on the basis of the recent change in consignment percentages. I was looking forward to consigning quite a few articles, but will not now at the current percentage splits. Very disappointing. Good things rarely last...sigh.

Its a fun site because unlike Ebay there are a limited number of items ending every night. Everything starts at zero. Unlike Ebay bids cant be made in the last seconds. Any bid in the last five minutes returns the clock to five minutes. Ive gotten some nice things and good deals but two downsides: sellers get a small portion of the selling price, and shipping costs must be a money maker for them as its typical for shipping to run close to $300 for a chair. On the upside buyers dont pay a 10% premium. Prices for many things tend to go high because so few things are being sold.. also a fair amount of repeat junk like jewelry with the cheapest stones on the planet. They take repeat merchandise from low end vendors especially in jewelry as well as estate and household contents. Worth a watch though!

EBTH is my first experience online auctions. I really enjoy the variety of goods they offer and the easy to use format. Shipping costs are reasonable and packing is amazing! I won several really fragile items which arrived safely and beautifully protected. This auction house house has made quarantine times more enjoyable!

Everything but the house offers beautiful auctioned items. I came across it by watching HGTV. The first time I bid I made a big mistake and there was a computer glitch and they completely fixed it for me. Since then I have purchased a classic Temple rubbing from Thailand and it was in great condition. Their delivery is very fast and they really take the time to ensure that your items are well-wrapped. I will be a auction addict with Everything but the house for a long time.

Overall a pretty good experience. I have purchased a number of items for EBTH and really only had one issue where the item description was off. It took a while but eventually everything was corrected. I won’t give it 5 stars because I think they are a good service... not necessarily excellent.

I have found such great and special items through ETBH! I love the text updates too when you have been overbid. Every purchase I have made comes exactly like it said it was. Wonderful business.

Would give them 5 stars because everything starts at $1, lots of great notifications, some good stuff, lots of collectibles. However, they have 2 pick up locations and that wasn’t clear to us. We thought everything we bought would be at one location coming from out of state. Second is if you bid in the last 5 mins - it adds 5 mins. So it makes no sense to try watch bidding and out bid someone. But hey it’s a business!

Usually very efficient and accurate, but have been given wrong item that I did not purchase once and now have an item I have purchased not being located when I went to pick up. Was given customer service number to call which I did, but never reached a live person, sent to voice mail with promise to call back but that was never fulfilled. Disappointing

I have won over 40 or 50 items on EBTH. Most of the time they have been satisfactory but I have 2 major concerns with their lack of customer service. While I did not check the shipping costs on 2 bookends prior to bidding -- live and learn -- because shipping was more than the amount paid for the items. This shocked me because they could have been sent standard UPS or USPS fort half the cost. I inquired twice in the last 2 weeks and never heard back and am stuck with an inflated shipping cost. I am also disappointed by the way they list watches and sometimes do not say under condition explicitly works or does not work. Why is this difficult when a critical consideration about any watch. I have received a watch that did not work when I had no idea it was not functioning and they refused to do anything about it.

I have purchased multiple items from EBTH and have always been pleased. My last purchase arrived broken, which happened in transit, but I followed protocol for documenting the issue and received correspondence and a full refund the following day. I will continue to purchase unique items from this site.

I always find something unusual or from my past on EBTH . Everything starts at $1 and I have purchased a lot of good deals . They are very organized at pick up and wearing masks. I have bought quite a few items from EBTH. Normally everything is extremely well packaged. I bought a chair through them and had it delivered, it arrived broken into several pieces but they paid to have it restored. They are very good about correcting problems and the descriptions are sometimes very accurate. I went yesterday (may 3rd 2021) to pick up some items I had purchased and was told they couldnt find 2 of the items. This is not the 1st time they have lost items I have purchased

Shipping has always been prompt. It should be easier to contact someone regarding issues, though. One package from January never arrived and no one has responded to my contact form and just last week the major piece in a set of dishware arrived broken into multiple pieces. I cannot find a customer service number to call.

The Chinese Ginger Jar that I purchased arrived within a few days after bidding. The jar was well wrapped with no damage during shipping. EBTH is a great place to purchase vintage pierces.

99 percent of what I buy from them is in excellent condition. Their customer service is really good too and I’ve only had one item that didn’t show up. Of course I was totally refunded but it was almost a 2000 dollar item and it took 45 days for them to handle it due to their contract with fedex requiring 30 days before a complaint can be filed. Frustrating but I continue to shop almost every day because the msde is excellent.

Shipping is insanely expensive, maybe because they overwrap everything...when things are lst you wait 30 days, then they begin the process of your refund. So you are paying interest for a loooooooooong time for nothing.

They have done a much better job recently in delivering wins promptly and they are much better packaged and shipping seems to be better priced. It took a while for them to get there but they did.

I purchased a necklace for over $200 from them. The auction description stated that the clasp was marked 14K. I called the auction manager to verify the item was hallmarked. The EBTH assured me the necklace was stamped 14K.When I received the necklace, I could not find any markings. I shipped it back to them and they are claiming there is a very faint 4 on it. That is not the hallmark that they stated was on it. Very misleading!

I email and I called them and they refused to stand behind an offer they made to me. They are simply not a good business to deal with - find a competitive auction site to deal with!They did subsequently follow up with me and did stand behind their original promise and granted me a $20 gift certificate. All of my buying experiences have been stellar. All sale items are thoroughly described and photos from all angles are posted so buyers can make well informed decisions. Shipping is generally within three days from payment, and the packing is great. I have no qualms whatsoever shopping estate sales online with EBTH because of the integrity they’ve shown in every dealing I’ve had with them.

I am disappointed in a number of things.1. When I got up enough nerve to sell my treasures, I notified them, they called me and said oh, we no longer real with Pittsburgh. WowThey had a Pgh location listed for a long time. Then none! And thy said they would only sell small items that I would mail to them?2. I sent them an item to sell for me. Ok went ok...lots of time, have to be patient. Sold well they said a check would be sent to me on December 2. IM STILL WAITING AND THEY HAVENT RETURNED MY EMAILS,......REALLY??????3. Its. Very hard to get in touch with anyone from there!

I love EBTH! The main reason I love it is because the estate sale is run through a company, which makes it more secure than things like Facebook Marketplace. The quality of products are as stated. I would rate higher, except for the lack of organization and professionalism demomstrated at the Columbus Huntley Road location.Ive visited two Cincinnati warehouse locations and two onsite estate auction locations previously. All of which were courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. The Columbus location failed to meet the level of expectation to which I became accustomed. I hope they improve over time.

I purchased a Thayer Coggin mid century chair that said faded from sun as the description . I paid $200.00 which I thought was a fair price to pay for a usable chair and ottoman . Upon pick up the foam is rotted inside the chair, the upholstery has extensive dry rot and unfortunately was not usable . A quote from an upholstery company with cost of fabric came in at $700.00 which makes it not cost effective for the value of the chair . EBTH offered a $40.00 credit for the inconvenience but that still leaves me with a unusable chair and out $160.00 . The corporate office basically stated that their people try to properly identify things condition wise with the photographer but they are not experts and they go by the sellers descriptions a lot . Anyone could tell that this chair was not sun faded and it had dry rot which is totally different . My first EBTH experience I’m out $160.00 and I have a chair in my garage destined for trash day cause you cannot touch it without dust and rotted foam blowing out of the cushions . The people at EBTH are juvenile individuals with no expertise in antiques and collectibles and buyer beware of descriptions cause as they told me “that’s why we put as is so we are not legally responsible for misrepresentation “ . I will most likely never buy anything upholstered from them again since they doctor up their photos and misrepresent things for financial gain to screw their customers .

I recently attended an event at the Columbus Museum of Art which featured EBTH. The main speaker from EBTH Cincinnati was very good and interesting. However, when attendees were able to bring up our vintage and antique items for a quick appraisal, a manager from the Columbus office laid a large, old medical chart on top of my item. A significant amount of black dust and stain came off of the chart and onto my Popeye doll from the 1950s. The doll was in Very Good condition but now has black staining on its clothing which is not coming off.While the manager did apologize to me, he only did so after prompting and when he became aware other people had seen what happened. He certainly did not sound or appear apologetic in any way. His only response was that he could look up the value of my item on his computer after he finished with the medical chart. I definitely had the impression he viewed me and the Popeye as unimportant.I understand my item isnt worth thousands of dollars. But it was something I had planned to sell and its value has been significantly decreased by the careless mishandling by EBTH staff.Our names, phone numbers, and objects for review were recorded so I waited a day to post this review to see if I would perhaps receive an apology call of some type. I did not.I had previously recommended EBTH multiple times especially to people who had high quality items they wished to see as part of downsizing to move to a retirement community. I will now only be recommending other online auction companies and sites.Please check EBTHs reviews on yelp if you are considering utilizing them for your estate or downsizing needs. Auction Ohio, Columbus Online Auctions, and Innovative Revenue Solutions may be a better choice for you.
