This is a Habitat Restore. They raise money for a good cause, but we thought their prices were a bit high in this store. It is a nice sized store. They had lots of employees working in the store. They were friendly for the most part. We did make a couple of purchases. There is no public restroom in their store, so we had to go next door to the drug store to use their restroom. Habitat is a good program so see if you can find something you need here
For home furnishings and home repairs, I would recommend this stop first! I love supporting their mission to build affordable housing so purchases serves a purpose. I enjoy browsing the organized, clean aisles and viewing the nicely displayed items. This location features Market samples so I am always wowed! Bedroom, kitchen, office, dining room, artwork, lighting, rugs, interior decor, linen, decorative pillows flooring, home repair (paint, tools, cabinetry)..its all here. The only thing better than the items they sell is the staff. Sharon, the manager, and the staff are super nice and helpful. Every month there is a discount color for 25 & 50% off and the selections change often. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop every week!!
Love this place they always have a Great variety of items to thrift through.
Trying to donate great electrical items and today got told, we don’t want your stuff, we get new items from Home Depot & Lowes. The worst & the Last time we will donate to the This Rude place.
Always find some good stuff for a good price
Don’t expect typical Restore pricesYou could get cheaper and nicer furniture on Facebook MarketplaceGood place to go if you are looking for dated and Art Deco pieces at retail sale prices...
Large selection and great prices!
I love to go in there but the furniture can be pricy.
Didnt have what I wanted but nice place
I agree with most of the other reviewers in that the prices here are pretty ridiculous. Old, used, and scratched furniture and accessories sell for astronomical prices. Im sure you can find a good deal here if you take your time. I noticed some furniture was selling for the same prices, or even more, that youd pay at a regular store. Not worth it unless youre looking for a one-of-a-kind or vintage item!
They had some beautiful things in the store and I bought a couple of nice porcelain pieces. I thought some of the prices were a bit High- but a lot of quality stuff.
Good place for second hand things
Good place for budget shopping
All I can say is its OK
Unique among Habitat ReStores. Inventory includes samples from the Furniture Market. Good deals can be found with weekly color tag discounts. A number of new items have been noted to have been priced high but nearly all new inventory sells. To my knowledge, this store does not offer discounts to military veterans.
Such an over-the-top store! The High Point Habitat gets donations from the showrooms, so it is mostly full of up-to-the-minute latest styles of seating, shelving, lighting, and accessories. Their goods are priced to match; you wont furnish a starter apartment for $100 here.If youre in town and used to Habitat Restores in other parts of the country, give yourself a treat and stop by. Im drooling over the chandeliers. My husband reminds me we have nowhere to hang them. Perhaps its a good thing theyre $500/ marked down from $9000.Fun.
I thought this place would be good to look for s used dresser because Winston Salem and Greensboro restore always have great prices and furniture. I was mistaken, this location is overpriced and furniture is damaged, i looked up furniture in store its selling more then retail. Beware!!
Great store with a wide array of reused items. Always fun to visit and find neat house goods
Like this store. I know High Point is the city they make furniture, but didnt expect to see furniture that expensive in this store. Service was pretty good. #MrsShona #thecustomerservicenurse
I was thrilled with this location. It has a great mix of used and new items. Some very trendy items such as bamboo dishes and lighting fixtures. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We left with everything from shelf pins to plumbing parts to a new living room table. People need to keep in mind that many of the things they receive are from the furniture market which includes the pillows and linens used in the staging of their showroom area. I dont mind that this one is different from other restores...I love that each one has something different to offer. Definitely check it out and judge for yourself if this is a must troll restore for you. I drive up from Raleigh and it is worth it for me. And they have enough stuff that my remodeling sweetheart doesnt fuss.
If building or rebuilding, worth a visit
This store is very neat and well organized. I was hoping that being in the furniture capital this store would have a good selection of furniture and it did not disappoint. Youll definitely want to come here if you are looking for quality furniture secondhand. The staff was very friendly too.
Over priced merchandise. More like a furniture store than a place to find items to repair and restore a home at a reasonable price. The concept for restore was to provide merchandise to fix, repair and restore your home so at a decent price.
Good furniture that is donated. Prices seem so high to me. Old items could sell faster if prices were more reasonable.
I find lots of good stuff here. Selection varies a lot. Prices differ according to who is evaluating goods ...some are very reasonable... Some not so much. Pretty well organized inventory. Nice, creatively decorated, pleasant facility. Staff is usually pretty helpful.
Retail store the prices to high and the stuff they get is free and they sell it to high
I felt super unwelcome at this place, went in looking to purchase an accent chair for a guest room and a little old white lady that works there kept telling my 6 yr old not to sit on the furniture. HELLO! Its used and you totally messed that sale up cause we left after that. If someone is about to buy something they will probably try it first. Especially furniture.
Went today and the way the one lady was talking to loaders and other staff members made me leave. She need to learn how to talk to people with respect. Prices are high, might as well buy new at retail furniture store. Has really nice modern pieces, will cost you.
The workers inside the place were rude and not very helpful at all .I also found everything they sell was very expensive and its cheaper to buy it new versus going to Habitat for Humanity in High Point
I found the prices for the furniture to high. The staff could be friendlier.
Very Good
Excellent product variation, pricing and engaged associates.
This location shouldnt be considered just a place to by donated goods. They have a ton of market sample and high design furniture! It appears being located in the furniture capital of the world makes for great bargains for decorators. I often go here for inspiration.
Great Furniture for your home excellent prices
This place is astoundingly ridiculous. Everything is wayyyyyy over priced and is absolutely the worst place to shop if you are trying to build your life affordably. This restore makes Goodwill look like a company of saints. Im extremely disappointed with this store.
Found good deals
My husband finds a lot of helpful things he needs or things I use for house and yard projects.
Great deals.
Wow, it is amazing what they have here. The majority of the furniture is from Furniture Market vendors, so it is brand new and only used in the market display stores. And their prices are half to a third of what dealer prices are, never mind what retail would be! I have gotten lamps, beds, tables and chairs from here which I could not have afforded if I had to buy retail. It is the first place I look when I need something for my home.
Nice and friendly staff! Always helpful. However, EXTREMELY HIGH prices. Furniture from showrooms is hit or miss. All the manufacturers are so different in style, it would be tough to furnish a single house. You may find something really good, or you may find some crazy steampunk piece of furniture. No joke, some of the pieces seem to be from outer space haha. Poor selection of games/movies/media etc. Great selection of used dishware and things like that. Again, friendly staff, used to volunteer here. I just believe things that are donated for free to benefit local projects, ethically, should not be priced near as high as they are. They should be priced to sell. Whoever is in charge of pricing doesnt seem to have a clue what to price things and tends to slap a random high price, rather than look at similar items and price affordably. Its a good habitat, but I would go elsewhere first.
This review is isolated to the Restore in High Point NC only! I visited the store and noticed their prices were a lot higher than the other Restores I have visited. I found a used runner I thought I could clean up and use. The price was a little higher than I wanted to pay for a used piece of carpet so I asked if they could do any better on the price and I was told The price listed on the runner is the price of the runner, no they would not come off the price. I said ok and left it behind. I would have purchased the runner even if they would have only discounted it a dollar or two simply because of the community outreach the Habitat stores provide but the runner did need some work to make it useable. I was shocked to have had received that response on a used carpet runner, especially since everything in the store has been donated!
Its a really nice big sore with a lot to offer in there!
Great place to find anything for the house, great customer service and is always so clean
Good selection and quality. Frequent new stock. Some prices seem a little high but many great deals.
EXTREMELY overpriced!!! Ive been to a dozen or more Restore stores throughout the country. This store is selling donated furniture for $600-$800?? Used comforter sets for $100?? You can get the same quality and name brand new at Macy’s for $40! I can buy new stools for $75! I can buy new lamps for $40-$150! Whoever is pricing these donations is not in touch with the retail market. You’re not supposed to be competitive with the area furniture stores in the capital furniture city!
Nicest Habitat Ive been to. Keep an eye on the furniture section. They get some really nice stuff in there.
Great buys
Over priced but they do have nice things
Prices are outrageous! Met a woman named Susan who apparently is high up on the chain and she is very rude and has a fake attitude towards all she meets. Her sympathy for anyone with medical conditions knows no bounds whether a worker or not. Attitude about her employees are terrible. Cashiers and manager at the store are great to deal with. However, I refuse to deal with Habitat in HP due to Susan and her lack of executive skills and apparent favoritism for board members who constantly get free stuff and highly discounted items over regular customers and loyal workers.
They have something different all the time. I bought some cabinets there I knew they were from where I used to work and I probably made the doors for it. I know I got the cabinets at a good price and they loaded them for me because I had a paralyzed diaphragm. And it goes for a good cause.
This is a resale store that accepts donated items. Money is used to fund building homes for people who would otherwise never be able to afford a home. They have lots of furniture. However, it is extremely overpriced. Other items, such as lamps, down to electric switch plates, are also overpriced. I recently had to buy switch plate and paid 27 cents at Walmart. Habitat sells them for 50 cents. There are some bargains to be had, but you have to know a bargain when you see one.
This location was very organized and clean... but the prices are absolutely outrageous. For one laminated, OSB particle board side drawer the price stated $300.... thats insane. My husband and I like to repurpose old furniture for our home or build it ourselves, and it was shocking to see such low quality furniture being sold at such outrageous prices... and this was all over the store, majority of everything was marked at insanely high prices when the quality was lacking completely. We left this location and went to the one in Greensboro and got a solid oak dresser drawer and a solid oak armoire, two solid oak side tables, and an awesome old fashioned trunk for less than $130 with the daily veteran discount. This location must cater to a more modern, out of the box- brand new, type of people because the products looked newer. So if you want a more modern, but much much MUCH more high priced, this is for you. I suggest buying it for far less, putting in some elbow grease, and getting a top notch, one of a kind, product.
This place gets lots of market samples as well as used items. They sell I. Order to build homes for deserving g families.
A great place to find furniture for a discount but the building is easy to miss and the location is decent
High prices but pretty merchandise
This location often has high end samples from furniture market at reduced rates. Stop by often as selection often changes!
Great place for high quality accessories and lighting.
Visiting from Kentucky. Loved it here. With my brother Wayne
I love this place. I have been shopping there for years
Customer service and price is very good
Great buys for a good cause. Staff is always available!e too help you load.
Pricey, but great selections.
This is a great place for shopping for top dollar items but u have to have top dollar money a lot of items be donated plus the furniture market donate u might as well go to a furniture place like Red House furniture or sumthing thats cheaper because their prices is off the hook not that I cant afford it but because Im not going to put a lot of money in items thats not worth it to me it could be for others but when u are on a budget u spend accordingly what your income is an a sofa in there costing 1500 for one chair is ridiculous to me maybe not for others I have spent money in there on used items I was able to salvage an bring back to life with a little paint but the new items nooooooo to rich for my blood I really like things they have in the store an I have been buying sum items for cheap for 3 years plus in the past they was a lot cheaper then but now 2018 prices have increased tremendous but for the most part I like the store because sum items I can afford an sum of their workers not all will go down on sumthing items but not all things u would think that a habitat store would have cheaper items for people to afford like the Salvation Army but hmmmm it is what it is but I must say again I like the store
Phenomenal deals. Very friendly staff
Has great things
Asheboros is Habitat for Humanity ReStore is filled with nice people but they are so far overpriced on all their stuff its not even funny sometimes they have good products for sale but the greed there is ridiculous. I have found Furniture there twice that I wanted it was super nice but they were just so overpriced it wasnt worth it
Be careful but there are some excellent buys..Veterans discount
Has a nice selection at this location for furniture, alot of samples from the furniture market
Way to high for stuff thats used
Great deals on all sorts of things for your home
Great furniture market donations. Great prices
This store has a lot of stuff for your home. If you see it and you want it Buy it cause it wont be there next time
Amazing household items...lots of cool furniture
Expensive but helpful staff. Need better training at check out ... expect it to tack a while.
Great select of furniture due to donated market samples.
I love that we can find what we need and help a noble cause.
More than a store.
Good place to find values and support Habitats goals.
Great market samples but the prices reflect that .
I thought it was a habitat for huge manatees. Bummer 😒
Great stuff at great prices, for an amazing cause.
Love seeing what is brought in. Great deals
Alot of donated items are more expensive to purchase there then at a regular store. And you can return items at a regular store.
Clean store with good bargains that support a GREAT cause!!
Great items great prices
Love the variety but still a little pricey
Not very many deals some things cost more the new ones.
Extremely overpriced. Honestly it’s like a front for a local furniture company which stocks the store full of furniture they don’t sell at market. 2 stars is generous.
Always can find something you can use
They always an amazing assortment of furniture!
VERY HIGH PRICES!!! For items that have been given to them. I wont be back to this location. Just because they are in high point near the Market they charge outrageous amounts sad
Prices a little high for that kind of store, but great friendly staff
Too furniture centric. Too expensive. They dont seem to get new stuff very often
They were not even worth a review
Too expensive in comparison to the Greensboro Location.
Love this store and the items.
Very nice layout, extra nice staff.
Prices to hi, Hi end furniture market samples usually prototypes not best quality.
Market samples or not everything is donated. Priced way to high!!!
Prices are too high for donated items.
