I went to The Smilist Dental for a routine 6 month check up. I was seen by Dr. Ghatala for a check up and cleaning. She was thorough, gentle and took her time to explain my questions, and I didn’t feel like ‘just another patient’. She did a filling for me at the same visit, and it was completely pain free. It was the first time I had a filling done which didn’t need adjustment afterwards! Highly recommend her and the office!!

Dr. Ghatala is very friendly and warm with excellent bedside manners. I’ve been to several dentists over the years and this office is really nice, clean, and appointments are readily available. the space is brand new with ample parking in the lot. My only concern was when the Dr grabbed more composite for my filling straight from the tube vs having some placed on a separate plate and then picking it up to place in my mouth. I assume they threw away the tube and don’t plan to reuse it on someone else. Other than that, I had a great visit!

Best dentist visit ever!!! I’m a very nervous dental patient but so happy I found Dr Ghatala. She is so kind, caring and professional. Cleaning and filings completely pain free during and after the visits. Lovely office staff and beautiful office too. Highly recommend her for patients of all ages.

I am so impressed with this office and it’s staff. I went for ZOOM whitening. To start off, the office is newly renovated and meticulously clean. The staff is so friendly and very professional. The dentist did an exam first and then did the whitening treatment. Her assistant stayed with me the entire time in between applications of the gel while the light was set on my teeth. They even put Netflix on for me. My result was excellent. By the way, they even made mouth impressions for whitening trays to take home. All this for $399. The best value ever!!! I wish I lived closer because I would use them for all my dental needs if I did.

I finally found an amazing dentist!!!This was my 1st Visit, and I couldn’t be happier with Hicksville location, So comfortable and welcoming. The receptionist so helpful booking my appointment and answering all my questions. Dental hygienist did the best cleaning i had in long time, not only was she so nice she was Gentle, explained what she was doing and Educated me about my teeth. And finally the Dentist he also was so nice and also Educated me about my teeth, the do and don’t . To be honest this is the 1st time I’m looking forward to go back to the dentist, even with some refilling involved thanks to the drs eye. He was so great pulling out a mirror and showing me pointing out what will need to be done and why.. already have my next appointments booked, something I have never done in the past. So that say a lot. I’m very happy I made the call and found them. 😁

There was barely a wait and I was very impressed with the office. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Ghatala was really attentive and made sure I was comfortable during a procedure that I was otherwise dreading. Overall, great experience. Definitely found my new dentist!

Had a dental cleaning which was ok, but when it was time for my exam the dentist who took my insurance wasn’t in that day. This is something they should have known before my cleaning appointment

During these times; I want to give my gratitude and appreciation to the Hicksville Smilist, they take all precautions necessary to make sure we can stay safe and clean, They call us into the office when the rooms are ready and disinfected, nobody is ever in the waiting room which limits contact with other people; whenever I do go, I see the wonderful girls in the front clean the doorknobs and surfaces.. I recommend anyone coming here, they are very educated and helpful despite the COVID-19!

Everyone was super nice, friendly, and welcoming, lessened the nerves after not going to a dentist for a very long time. The hygienist was very thorough and was kind enough to offer some numbing gel for any pain/discomfort. I’d highly recommend going here.

Office was clean and had the proper tools and supplies to make me feel safe during my visit following COVID-19. Dr.McGunnigle and the office manager Selena were great! Once I arrived they took my temperature and I was seated right away with no waiting time. The Smilist is my new dental office and I am here to stay !

Roz is the best! She made me feel so comfortable and she really took her time when she cleaned my teeth. Very quick and efficient too. Very pleasant receptionist. I was seen at my appt time (or maybe a little earlier). The Dr was a good listener, very calming and very gentle. He took care of my issue quickly and efficiently. His assistant was also very calming and compassionate. I highly recommend.

For someone that is very scared of going to the dentist, I felt very at ease with Dr. McGunnigle. I recommend this office for anyone in the Hickville area.

Went to the Hicksville location for the 3rd visit of my invisalign and everything so far has been so positive!When I first enter the doctors office Lisa always makes me feel so welcomed and is always in a positive great mood. Dr. McGunnigle has been a pleasure to see so often now that I am wearing Invisalign. The process has been semeless and I almost forget I am wearing them throughout the day!Overall a great experience.
