It gives me no pleasure to give a two star review for a company that did provide quick excellent service. The problem is as you can see in the picture which is a copy of what I posted on yelp is that we felt very ripped off….. but we needed the washing machine fixed and he did come out in a timely manner…We will not use this company again because we thought the price was very overinflated….

The ice maker in my side by side refrigerator stopped working so I called American Service for repair. They were very responsive from making my appointment to arriving within the appointment window. Alex diagnosed the problem, had the part with him, and installed it very quickly. I appreciate the customer service and attention to detail, even wearing protective footwear. I highly recommend these professionals.

Josh is a true professional! Our Scottsman ice machine broke down and we got a service call within a day of scheduling. Josh came and gave us the potential bad news after diagnosed the problem. It could have been a whole new condenser but he was able to get a separate part for a couple hundred dollars, saving us about $1,000.00 for a new condenser for a machine costing over $3,000.00. Josh is a life saver in my family. I was ready to buy ice trays on Amazon but instead Josh got it working like new for a few hundred. Thank you American Service!!!!!

After our 3 year old washing machine started leaking water, I called American Service. They responded right away and made a service appointment at a time that was convenient for me. Because my washer has a dryer stacked on top of it, they explained it would be a two-man job, which I expected and was totally agreeable. Exceptional service!It started with Joan who answered the phone and would check to see what she could do to get me a tech that day! Within 2.5 hours Alex, the tech, was at the door. Witnessed the issue, diagnosed the problem and fortunately had all the parts needed in the truck! In less than an hour, he had it disassembled and put back together functioning! Josh was PERFECTION and fixed my gave oven in well under an hour. He was knowledgeable, professional, and cut right to the chase. Our Blomberg oven was so expensive and I was so worried it was a lemon. Instead, I was delighted for Josh to tell me it was a result of normal wear and tear and he had everything he needed to fix it with ease.Not only that, my appointment was a Saturday afternoon at 5pm and he arrived with a pleasant and positive attitude, even after a presumably long day. Its these little things that truly mean just as much as a persons skill set in being able to fix the problem.If I ever need appliance support again Im calling and asking only for Josh.

All of my interactions with American Service were top notch starting with the team in the office. They contacted me quickly after I made my online booking request. They explained the process thoroughly, then return called me with my appointment time window. Jaime was the technician who serviced our gas range. He has excellent customer service skills. He called in advance, was prompt with his arrival (early actually, but he said he would be in his phone call), polite and respectful when he arrived, explained everything in detail, and completed the repair in a timely fashion. While I hope to not have to repair another appliance in the near future, I would call American Service for all my appliance repair needs and would hope that Jaime would be our tech again.

I mistakenly called another repair service and they wanted to charge $895 total to repair my dryer. I searched a bit harder through my records and found American Service’s number in my records. They came 2 days later and fixed the broken pulley for $280 in the same visit. They were prepared, honest and affordable. I am very grateful. Eileen in East Norwich

I called on a Sunday and was surprised to get a call back, when the office was closed. Missed the call but they called me Monday morning at 7:40 and offered to fit me in then. I was already at work and asked if they could do it around 12 on my lunch hour. Not a problem. My technician, Alex, was prompt, polite, professional and had my dryer up and running within 15 minutes of his arrival. He had the parts he needed, and double checked my vent to make sure it wasnt a fire hazard. Loved my experience with American and I would use them again!

My experience was excellent. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly and they were in constant communication with me. I was assigned a technician named Tyler. American Service provided a picture of Tyler in their confirmation email to me. Tyler was prompt and extremely courteous and efficient. Thankfully I had a very minimal issue and he was able to assist me at the time of the appointment. He encouraged me to ask any questions I may have in regard to my new appliance and reassured me that no question was too small or unnecessary. I called up about a barbecue that needed some service. Very basic stuff, basically- the lighter wasnt working great. They charged almost 200 for an ESTIMATE just to look at it. Fine. Then they wanted 1200 dollars... I REPEAT, TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to fix the ignition, a burner, and a the flavor rods. I asked “huh.. that seems high, you guys quoted me much lower a year ago?”She said “yes, but with corona we have increased our prices nearly double” THIS IS CALLED PRICE GOUGINGExcuse me? That is the single most disgusting thing Ive ever heard from a company I used to do business with. Shame. Shame on all of them for taking a crisis and abusing it to screw over the people of long island. Disgusting business with a horribly rude attitude.

We are so grateful we made the call to American Service and had such an amazing repairman (Tyler) come to help us out!

Wonderful experience! Tyler was fantastic. He diagnosed the problem and had the part ordered immediately. On the installation of the part, on the second visit, he vacuumed behind the refrigerator! I love this company. Today, I had Josh do the service on my Viking stove/oven. He was amazing - efficient, polite and respectful. First, he wore the disposable booties to cover his shoes to keep my floors clean. He diagnosed the problem immediately, showing me what was wrong. He gave me a price for the repair and fixed it promptly. There was a second person who cleaned my oven/stove and made it look beautiful (probably cleaner than when they arrived).

Called at 11AM for service and by 11:10AM Tyler called me back saying he was around the corner to fix our Samsung Dryer. Luckily it was a quick fix - Im writing this at 11:25AM and our dryer is back up and running! Great customer service and great price!

I called this company out of the blue because of pretty good reviews on google. I had a fantastic experience! From the first contact with the secretary who was well spoken, polite and had a tech out to my house the following day to my experience with the tech Rob I was very impressed. Rob Arrived at my house shook my had was polite and got down to business. He replaced one part fixed certain issues but found an addition burned out board. He ordered the part and left. I called the owner and told him even though it did not work out the way I wanted it to and was going to cost me more money I had to call him and tell him what an asset Rob was to his company. Rob was neat, clean, professional,had great knowledge about fixing appliances, and he was not on his cell phone the entire time.Rob came back today replaced the additional part and everything works great!!! Dont bother. Try fixing yourself, the issue is most probably on the web. The mark-up for their service is astronomical. If you cannot figure out the problem from the multitude of web information -replace the appliance.

About a couple months ago I called several companies to come see whats the problem with my oven. The only one that detected the problem right away was Charlie from American Service. Do not use any other company! Hands down the best experience throughout our renovation. American Service was so professional and knowedgeable; they were here within a day with all parts needed and stayed as long as it took to fix my oven! Charlie was superb (and did I mention professional?) He not only made sure my Viking range was functional but helped to level it, place it and tweak each and every aspect of it. The price was right and the service was impeccable, this is the only appliance service I will ever use.

I have had these folks three times. Once they replaced the rollers in my dryer. Once they cleaned out the defrost drain in the fridge and most recently replaced the fridges start relay. They come with little delay. The workmen are clean and know their business. One even refused to replace the touch pad in my mounted microwave when he saw I had a counter top micro which I had recently bought . Replacing the touchpad was not worth the money he said as long as I was satisfied with the counter top. Which was a quality Breville. All in all I find this outfit to be a solid dependable business. Why only 4 stars? No one should get 5 stars. That is reserved for the angels.

Prompt return of calls. Very good service. Nice gentleman who came to do the return. The visit ended up costing me $90 and they couldnt repair my washer. That was a little expensive for my taste but I guess what can you do.

Very very nice customer service, however he walked in, I desribed the issue with the washer like I did over the phone and he said it was a plumbing problem. still charged me $100 after being in the house for less than 2 minutes. Why they couldnt tell me that over the phone, who knows, but charging me full price to diagnose the problem doesnt make me want to call again.

Awesome service!! Ive been using them for over 5 years now. Everyone Ive dealt with has been super friendly, and the technicians are honest and reliable. Today I had Frank come for my microwave. As always, they called with my window of time in the morning, and then Frank called when he was on his way, giving me a 15 minute heads up. He even told me that the repair wasnt worth it and that I should put money into a new unit, that right there says a lot. They are looking out for the best interests of their customers. My family and I will definitely continue to use American Service for all of our appliance repairs!!
