Eight years ago I was looking for a barn to host my daughters birthday party, L&B Farms was recommended by several people and we embarked on our journey into the world of horses that we continue to this day. Not limited to birthday parties, we have been in the L&B lesson program (beginner, advanced, and adult), Summer Camp Program, Trail Rides, Interscholastic Equestrian Association team, 4H and much more. Lisa emphasizes multiple facets of horsemanship into her lessons. Students are taught and expected to participate in the grooming and care of the horse in order to be a safe and responsible rider. L&B takes very good care of their horses. During the L&B IEA show when they hosted several different barns for a team competition, the quality of the L&B horses and staff were praised and was awarded Best Horse Show host in the region. Throughout all of our time at L&B I have seen my children grow in confidence, attain new skills, and life long love but more importantly appreciation of horses. Thank you Lisa and Bill!
My older daughter (age 16) has been riding at L&B Farms, since she was 8 years old. When she started she participated in the summer camps and loved the time with the horses and riding. She eventually started taking weekly lessons, which progressed to competing in the L&B IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Assn) team. My daughter has always received excellent, encouraging instruction from Lisa, as she has progressed through the many levels of lessons. Now my younger daughter (age 12) has also loved the summer riding camp at L&B, and she now takes weekly lessons. Lisa takes care of her horse with love and passion. Her horses are her pride/joy, and she is so good to the horses and all of us who ride at L&B. I know that she has my daughters safety and equitation skills in mind, as she teaches them new skills in riding. I have also recently started taking riding classes, because my daughters have enjoyed it so much. Truly a wonderful barn, with Lisa at the helm of it all.Written by Christine Chappell
The owner should not be in charge of kids. We were warned about her before we went but gave it a whirl because she’s close. Doesn’t know how to talk to kids. Put a post on Facebook and so many people are messaging me about her taking advantage of them as young kids. Working them to death. No pay. Thought at first maybe it was because she just didn’t like my little girl but nope it’s a ton of people that hate Lisa’s guts!
DO NOT...I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE FOR LESSONS!!!! I was warned of Lisas poor people skills and poor treatment of children and decided to give her a try anyway. She has absolutely NO business dealing with people OR animals. Shes MEAN to kids and Ive personally witnessed her repeatedly using an almost lame horse with a severe hoof infection. Shes all about money and uses and abuses her animals. The good reviews you see on here are from her personal friends. Theyre not true experiences!
Super friendly farm with excellent school horses. Lisa does a LOT of fun things with her students! Lots of turnout for the horses.
Far by now, no exceptions, everything ok
