I have been going to The Barbershop for more than 3 years now. I really like to cut my hair there. Honestly, Arthur is not the friendliest guy in the world, but I go to the barbershop to get a haircut not hugs and kisses, and whenever I feel like needing therapy I go to see my therapist. I went through some comments here and there are people that need other kind of professional different than what this business is for.In my case the barbershop has always given me exactly what I need a clean and professional haircut. I highly recommend Arthur, and it is a local business that I support.

A real honest to goodness barber. For gents with former military service who desire a clean cut and straight razor finish Arthur is probably one of the best barbers out there. You cannot pay enough to have someone who is consistently on mark with his barbering skills.

Nice laid back atmosphere. Good view of the parking lot, entertaining Tv is always on. They are good at cutting hair for sure, with extra dedication to service. Their prices are very reasonable.

My normal place was closed, so I tried The Barber Shop today.I was third in line but the pace was quick and I got an excellent cut. Ill be back again.

Went in for a haircut, Arthur was my barber. I showed him the style I was looking for and he nailed it 100%. High level of attention to detail and took his time. Great value for the cut and couldnt be happier.

Ive been a customer for years. The cut I want is exactly what I ask for and get. The price is below all the nonsense barber shops, and in my opinion, underpriced. (So, I tip heavier for that reason.) I chose Art, the first chair. The gentleman is personable, diligent, and thorough. Ive been elsewhere, and not gotten the quality I get with his cut. Ive watched him care for all kinds of people, and always delivered the best. For those who did not like to pay the $17, please go elsewhere. For those who claim he treated you like he was a racist, go elsewhere with your nonsense claim. The guy lives a mixed marriage.

I have been going to this barber shop for 8 or 9 years now. I have never had to wait terribly long, unless it is a Saturday morning or the day before school pictures are taken. Normally, I walk in and get seated right away. Arthur, the manager (maybe owner?), is a nice guy and good barber, and has many regulars. Often he will have one or two customers waiting for him. I always opt for who is next available.I believe I have had my hair cut by every barber in the place and have never had a bad experience. The women barbers tend to be on the quiet side, and they always ask how I want my hair cut and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with a cut. No knock on Arthur here, but the female barbers are very attentive, will trim your eyebrows, mustache even ears if you want. Again they are careful and eager to cut your hair the way you want it cut. I always feel a little pampered here, neck shaved and maybe a scalp massage and never an added charge. More than just a haircut it like a mini-spa treatment. The price of a haircut here is a good value and tips are greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this place, it is rare to find a place where all the barbers are so good.

If possible I would give negative star. Non of the employees are professionals. One lady trimmed my eyebrows. And she didnt do my haircut as I wanted. When i told the owner regarding my eyebrows. He was so rud and loud he was yelling at me rather apologizing.I am never going back.

I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years and still do. Arthur is great and has a loyal following of customers who will wait for him specifically to cut their hair. Facility has been updated a few times and is always kept clean. I recommend all people to come here for their hair cuts and see Arthur.

Ive been bringing my son to Lavender since his first haircut at 2yo. She always does a great job! She also talks to my son about school and sports and always remembers our names.I love that we can walk in and leave with a great haircut at a reasonable price.

I usually do not write reviews but this time Ive decided that because of the issue at stake is my responsability to do so. My comment goes specifically to the manager by the name Arthur, they at the entrance, with a beard. From the moment I walked in his attitude towards me was very unpleasant. He was already cutting another customer hair (American) and all throughout he was very chatty and friendly with the customer. When my turn came, he seem so annoyed and bother that for a moment I thought he was going to kick me out. Never says a word of welcoming, never tried to even ask me if it was my first time here, nothing. I told him what kind of hair cut I wanted but he did whatever he wanted. I went back two times, but chose to get my hair cut with Lavender and another lady. Very polite, very professional ladies. The last time I was there I had a problem with my card and to make the story short the situation ended up in crossing words with this man, he even yelled at my wife. I kept observing this man attitude towards customers(non white), and I agreed with one of the reviews before me. He is a racist who shouldnt be in this kind of business.

Careful who you sit for not all barbers can cut.

This is the best barber shop I have ever experienced. I have been getting my hair cut by Arthur for several years. In addition to always getting a perfect haircut, he is always a blast to chat with and is always very nice to every person that walks in. For the record, I am one of several minorities that frequent this establishment and can attest to the fact that there is not a racist thought or bone in Arthur’s body. I was originally referred by my brother-in-law, also a minority, and he would never think of Arthur as a racist. It’s a shame people can make such inaccurate accusations against someone they obviously don’t know. I highly recommend Arthur and the rest of his staff. Don’t believe the hype posted by some people that perhaps have their own personal issues.

Ive been getting my hair cut here for the better part of 20 years. The proprietor is quite a character, and one of the other barbers gives a little scalp massage at the end that is heavenly. Be sure to get here before 6:30, though, as they like to be ready to leave at closing time.

The moment I sat on the chair I told the woman exactly what I wanted done with my hair.Skin tight on the sides, leave the top alone. and showed her a picture of me with the desired haircut.It started out fine, the clippers kept grabbing my skin and cutting it a little, but thats fine.Near the end, she begins to trim my hair on the top... attempting to give me a shape-up. I had specifically told her not to do that and I had to pull away to stop it.Once she was done, I paid my bill and left. When I got home I realized that she completely forgot to trim the hair behind and immediately above my ears... I dont even know how that happens since she pretty much shaved the sides of my head.

Ive been going there for years. I always get a nice haircut. Just make sure to point to what you want done and how you want your hair to look. I go with any of the ladies there who always take the time to do a good job. Very Happy with the way my hair looks!

I got recommended there by a friend, and Im glad I listened to him. Ive been to a lot of barbers looking to get EXACTLY what I asked for, but In the end ultimately just settling for what I ended up with. They were still nice cuts just not the way I wanted. I was expecting the same thing to happen, but I was wrong. I went to Caroline she asked me what I wanted so I showed her a pic and she looked at it. At the end of the cut I was glad to see I got exactly what I was looking for.

Arthur is great, i also doubt the review that Milan posted. Arthur is rarely ever sitting down, its one after another. Also i notice he spends just as much time on each person regardless of the line of people waiting. While this may make your wait times longer, in the end you have a better haircut. Also a lie about not using scissors, he uses them every time i get my haircut.

Took my kids for haircut there, they did the worst haircut it’s not at all looks good. I went 5 to 6 barber shops around here but this is the worst of all, for two kids they charged $34.98 + tip. Waste of money and time

Absolutely the worst hair cut I have ever had the displeasure of getting. First it was Arthur, or whatever the bald rude guys name is. He sprayed so much water on my head it ran down the back of my neck. He was rude mannered and seemed annoyed. This guy apparently has too many customers and needs to thin out a few. So, I thought I would give the place a second chance. Then I got the Asian gal. My two year old grandson could have done a better job. I could have cut my own hair and done a better job. I seriously wonder if this group of people are certified barbers that went to school. I dont know how they stay in business. If they have so many customers that they can afford to treat them like this, then Im going to help themout and give them one less customer. And SLOOOOOWW! Dont get your hair cut here if you ONLY have an HOUR for lunch.

Best haircuts Ive ever gotten in my life (Arthur). About 45% of the guys walking in will wait for Arthur. .... that tells you something when at least 2 other ladies are ready for you. I felt bad telling them No Thank you the first few times.... but Im over it, because it IS my hair after all. He is always working due to his having people wait for him... but hell never rush through you to get the line moving. Great to say the least. Thanks Arthur!

Ive been twice, had a different barber each time, I didnt get what I asked for. This is the only place Ive been to where you spend the whole haircut looking away from the mirror. On top of that I had to slouch in the chair both times so they could cut my hair. Im 59 so this is frustrating and I cant imagine the experience for someone who is taller. Only selling point is that they are better than both the hair cutterys in Herndon.

I went there a month ago. I didnt had to wait and I came out within 20min with a fresh haircut. The Barber here was very pro and did a good job.

My wife talked me into having a professional trim my hair and beard since I had been doing it. So, I went to a place that seemed to be right in-line for that. A Barbershop. This is NOT a mens barbershop. First they face you away from the mirrors and you stare are the people waiting since the TVs are just out of eye reach, then it takes a long time to get the hair cut without you seeing what is going on. (So if there is a change, it is too late). Then I asked them to trim the beard a certain way..explained it 3 times, then (again without me see what she was doing) she took the clippers to it and trimmed it down to nothing. Once I felt what was going on it was too late. It looked horrible and I asked her to stop (nicely) and that I would pay and fix it myself. I still paid full price and looked worse than I did going in. It has been a month and still hasnt grown back. You are better off going to a supercuts or whatever.

The Asian ladies are amazing at cutting hair but the owner Arthur treats them like slaves and expects obedience at all times. It seems he only wants to hire people that he can control. If I were you Id only get a haircut from one of the ladies or go elsewhere.
