We travel full time as travel writers with our 4 year old and loved how spacious the Verandah was at Brightwaters! There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and enjoy some peace and quiet while working so close to everything in Hendersonville! Well be back!

Spectacular! That is the word the bridesmaids and bride (my daughter) used to describe The Verandah and The Garden. Every room they went in they repeated the word. There were 8 girls total so both places gave the girls plenty of sleeping and getting ready space. They designed their own bouquets on Friday and the Verandah was perfect for hair and make up on the big day. It truly was a magical place to stay for a magical weekend.

We’ve been visiting Hendersonville & Asheville, NC for years. It’s an easy, direct flight from Ft. Lauderdale, FL into the Asheville airport on Allegiant Airlines for a minimal cost. Our last trip in Aug 2021 was with friends who arranged for us all to stay at Brightwaters Vacation Rentals. It was my first time there & my initial thought was, “how have I not come across this incredible gem sooner?” The location is perfect with easy access to Hendersonville, Asheville, Brevard, Blue Ridge Parkway, premier hiking trails & a food scene that is off the charts. The properties are magnificent (& pet friendly), the owners (Michelle & Elaisa) are extraordinary people & their attention to detail is exceptional. For example, I’ve traveled worldwide for 25+ years with a sound machine to help me sleep. Brightwaters was the first property ever to already have this handy device in each bedroom. What this space had that is rarely found, is real heart! It was a world class experience & we’re already planning for our next visit. If you’re looking for a very special place to stay that is extremely affordable, but also “next level,” then Brightwaters is definitely for you. Like me, you’ll be returning for years to come!

A great stay in the Foxhole this week. The cabin was spotless, well-appointed and very comfortable. Communication with Elisabeth is easy and very efficient. This was second stay and already have a booking for a third, next time in Mountain Lily. Highly recommend for a comfortable relaxing stay in a great location.

I was delighted when I first walked in the door of Foxhole Cottage, It was cozy and clean and had all the charm Id hoped for from seeing the online photos. Elisabeth and Michele were on the grounds when I arrived and both were very welcoming and helpful, making me feel at home right away. That feeling continued throughout the week I was there. I found the location convenient to all the places I visited during my stay. 5 Stars for Brightwaters Vacation Rentals!

We were able to accomodate all family members at our recent Reunion in six of the houses at Brightwaters. Each house is unique, comfortable and attractive. The outside area was perfect for our gatherings and activities. There were many park-like backgrounds for our family photographs too.. Michele and Elizabeth were professional and good hosts and the information for our check-in being online was very helpful as well as the suggestions for things to do near us. We hope to come back!

We were hosted by a local tourism board and I am not obligated to post this review. I must say that this property was wonderful. Its also in a great spot, just a few minutes from downtown and also not far from DuPont State Forest. Highly recommend if youre seeking a nice and quiet place to stay in Hendersonville.

Rented the Laurel cabin and it is beautiful and cozy!!! The issue we had with bedding in one of the rooms was corrected the next day.... other than that everything was good!! The decor was everything!*just check your bedding before you lay down*

My family rented the 7 cabins at the Tioga enclave and our hosts were super accommodating to all of our sometimes unique needs. Found the cabins to be very clean and spacious. Any needs or requests we had were addressed quickly and with a smile! The property is beautiful and had we will be coming back.

What a great place to stay for a family reunion. We rented out most of the cabins and they were all spacious comfy and clean. Close to the parks, hiking and waterfalls. Will Definitely back be back for another stay.

If u need to de-stress, relax and enjoy the beauty but not the inconveniences of nature, graciousness without intrusion of your hosts,, and bountiful possibilities for cultural, culinary and out door delights, I recommend that you, your family and friends consider renting a Brightwaters cabin. Stayed in Mountain Lily cabin for wedding at The Cabin Ridge (in order to bring doggie along.) Very clean cabin and super comfortable bed! Very responsive host! Our dog LOVED the complimentary pup treats & we loved the complimentary coffee :)

Ah-mazing!!! My aunt and I stayed here for two night in the Garden room. It was exceptionally clean. The mattresses were the most comfortable thing I’ve ever stayed on. The host was incredibly responsive. Would highly recommend!!

My family and I stayed at the Foxhole Cottage for the week of Thanksgiving 2020. From the moment we walked in, the cottage was so warm and welcoming. Elisabeth is an amazing host, she places a lot of attention to detail to make your stay just right. The Foxhole Cottage was so beautifully and meticulously decorated, yet very comfortable and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and they were dressed with nice quality linens. Everything we needed was provided. We enjoyed learning about the history of the property and the preservation of it along with the beautiful cottages that remain. It truly is a great little gem in Hendersonville! Looking forward to visiting again, soon!

Brightwaters Vacations Rentals was my first trip to Hendersonville, NC as well as my first stay at a vacation rental. Frankly it had the feel of staying at the well appointed home of a well to do relative. Everything was there that my wife and I needed: comfortable bed, lovely living room with great TV, wifi, a modern kitchen, two bathrooms with very good showers, and all the appliances we could need. The rental was excellent quality, the owners were extremely responsive (a malfunctioning lock after day 1 was replaced within hours) and the location was perfect--about 8 minutes from downtown Hendersonville and 4 minutes from a supermarket, gas, etc.The owners, Elizabeth and Michelle, have several properties and all look to be equally charming. The pictures of Brightwater Gardens on their website are quite accurate.Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Brightwaters Vacation Rentals was absolutely phenomenal! What made the experience so great, and unlike any other vacations weve had, was definitely the hosts. Michele and Elisabeth make sure you are fully taken care of. They take such pride in their homes and are so happy for visitors to enjoy it. It shows through in their attention to details with their beautifully decorated cabins that are fully stocked with anything you may need to make you have a comfortable stay. We will definitely come back.

This house was located in a quiet area just 8 minutes from downtown Hendersonville and 25 minutes from Brevard under a canopy of trees. The hosts were very responsive and so kind! We brought our two dogs along, adhering to the house rules for pets and since it was a quiet street the dogs felt safe and comfortable. The home was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed to stay in and cook when we wanted to. Would for sure stay here again!

What a fabulous location in a wonderful area! The cottage was full of charm, private, super comfortable and had everything we needed! The property management was quick to respond to our booking request, easy self check in and provided loads of information about the area in the cottage. Good choice to explore the mountains of North Carolina...we loved our stay!

Base camp was the perfect place for us to stay as we picked up and dropped off our daughters at a summer camp we attended ourselves 30 years prior. We even had a few alumni meet up at base camp for smores and sharing of campfire stories.The hostess was very welcoming and informative with local information and the home was very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Brightwaters Vacation Rentals. There was so much to do close by, from strawberry picking to hiking, and swimming in the lake. The location was absolutely perfect! After a long day of activities, it was great to come back to a beautiful home that is cozy, inviting, and very comfortable. My husband and I stayed in Cabin 140, but my daughter and her fiance stayed in Cabin 206, it was great to have them so close by. We had the best time and will definitely be coming back, especially with such exceptional hosts like Elaisa and Michele - they really made the experience extra special.

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Its such a special place for big gatherings since the cabins are all within a minute walk from each other which makes it extremely comfortable for big groups staying in different cabins. Apart from the very comfortable, spacious, and well decorated cabins, there was also so much to do close by. Within a few minutes drive there were amazing parks, hikes, lakes, and waterfalls to visit. We had something to do every single day! Absolutely loved the area and the activities as well as our amazing hosts! Thank you for everything!!

Brightwaters Vacation Rentals is the perfect place for a family gathering and wedding reception. Our family booked 4 of their rentals and were thrilled to be able to walk back and forth between the homes. They were very attentive and always on hand for anything we needed to make our gathering a special one. The decor is beautiful and everything we needed was available to make our stay a cozy one. My daughters and I stayed in the Foxhole Cottage for a birthday weekend getaway. Our original March date was the first weekend everything shut down for Covid. We had to reschedule three times due to Covid restrictions and I cant say enough about how great Elisabeth was to work with. She was so accommodating and quick to return my texts/emails. The cottage was absolutely immaculate and charming, with an interesting history as well! The decor and furnishings were a wonderful blend of antique with modern convenience. It was in a great, quiet location. We had a fun weekend visiting a brewery, winery, and hiking. I highly recommend any of the cottages with Brightwaters and will definitely be back!

We had the best time while staying at the Cabin in Hendersonville, NC. Our rental was so clean, tastefully decorated and was our home away from home. Our contact was very helpful and helped make our stay pleasant. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved Bungalow 207! It was super cozy and most importantly CLEAN. We come to Hendersonville every fall for a girls trip but normally come and go in the same day. My husband and I brought our anxious Australian Shepherd to hike in the mountains for the first time. The cabin was comfortable for all of us. Bob had a wonderful little neighborhood to walk Abbie. All the cabins/homes are spaced out enough that you have privacy and the front porch became our place to relax with morning coffee and end the day with a glass of wine from local wineries after hiking. The kitchen had everything we needed for light meals. Centrally located for a new adventure each day in a different direction, but our absolute favorite was a beautiful little hike up Bearwallow. The view on top was exactly what we came to the mountains for. We would most definitely stay here again.

I could not have asked for a better stay at these wonderful cabins. The space and setup were perfect for us as it had everything we needed for cooking, washing, etc. We also had relatives staying within the compound so it was perfect for regular gatherings, but we were each in our own cabins so it did not feel overwhelming.Elisabeth was also very helpful with suggestions on where to hike, eat, and things to do (lazy river, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, etc).

We rented two homes over Thanksgiving. Absolutely lovely stay! This was the very best rental experience we have had. We rented the upper floor of the veranda property and one of the other homes. Great place. In from out of town on Saturday night. 10/19/19 asked if they could put the Michigan vs. Penn state game on at the same time the Clemson or South Carolina game was on. They had no problem setting me up so that I could watch the game. The beer was cold and the service was awesome. One of the best experiences Ive had at a bar. I see a lot of drinking establishment in my job. Best one in the last 15 years. I will return when ever Im in town.

I was in Hendersonville with my active young family and Bungalow 207 was perfect for us. Everything was so comfortable, clean and quiet. It was awesome to come back to after our days of adventure! If youre looking to explore all the wonderful things in and around the town, the location is great!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Booking was a breeze, the accommodations elicited wows from all of us, and Brightwaters proximity to Hendersonville was perfect. Our 5 year old especially loved the games that were provided, and the wooded surrounding to explore. I appreciated the well-appointed kitchen. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

The cabin was very clean and delightfully decorated. The rooms were nice sized, the neighborhood was quiet and it felt like staying in a park. It was dog friendly and the customer service was outstanding! We are local and needed accommodations while repairs were being made to our home--I will recommend Brightwaters properties to our friends and family - both local and distant!

We had a wonderful stay in the Verandah. The home is beautifully decorated with plenty of spaces to enjoy, including the lovely glass-enclosed veranda. The hosts are also responsive and communicate all the important info in advance. I highly recommend staying here!

The location is fantastic. Hendersonville is a charming town teeming with lovely restaurants and shops, with access to all levels of outdoor activities. Brightwaters is quiet and beautifully appointed. the atmosphere is rustic but very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen, beautiful linens and plenty of porch sitting opportunity.

The friendly welcome from property owner Elisabeth was a great start to our entire time in Hendersonville. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Foxhole Cottage! A historic cottage that has charm throughout with original restored wood floors and thick wood doors on the upper floor. The house is decorated and accessorized with an eye to detail and it exceeded my expectations throughout. Loved the extra special touch of every room in the house having a separate thermostat.

The cabins exceeded all expectations for accommodating 13 family members for a cousin reunion. They offer all the luxuries of home and you feel very comfortable using them. We cooked inside and outside, with the BBQ grills, and the cabins were big enough to gather all 13 of us for group get togethers. The value for these accommodations will bring you back when ever seeking some relaxing time in the mountains.

We enjoyed this location since it is close to so many local sightseeing opportunities. The cabin itself is very clean, spacious and has a kitchen that is ready to cook any meal. We will return soon.

I would go back to Brightwaters in a heartrbeat! Our family took over the Brightwaters compound for about 4 days. My sister and I had the ground floor of the historic stone Lodge. Such lovely decor and furnishings in every room! We each had a private room with queen bed and private full bath. We had a lovely kitchen/dining area, with all needed supplies, and a store nearby to purchase food. There was a covered outdoor porch with rugs and rattan furniture, where we gathered as a family. We spent time in one of the other cabins, which was more simply decorated. The furnishing and space arrangements in that cabin allowed for close to 10 people to mingle and converse. What lovely and comfortable accommodations in a woods setting, but close to town. The owner, Elisabeth P., was always available and helpful to us. Great experience and very affordable!

I arrived at Base Camp property and was immediately impressed with the exquisite decor. Every room was tastefully decorated. The entire home was immaculate and super comfortable. My guest and I really enjoyed the outdoor large deck complete with fire pit and really nice furniture. We all enjoyed the fine bedding purchased from west elm. There is a nice gift of a pound cake which was perfect for our morning coffee. We loved the area and it is only a short drive to the city of Asheville. This area was a great choice for our group of four because we were able to enjoy lots of great activities close by. Local restaurants, kayaking, shopping, parks, trails, etc. We cant wait to return.

We have stayed at several properties and most recently stayed at Mountain Lily. It was perfect for our family of 5. It was very charming, comfortable and has everything you need. It is peaceful, but close to hiking and shopping. No need to look anywhere else. The owners are very attentive and professional.

I stayed in Base Camp last weekend with my roommate and we absolutely loved it! The place was clean, cozy and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. The location is also great! We do a fall hiking trip every year and this was very close to the trails. The colors were beautiful and the view at the top of John Rock was well worth it. We also checked out a couple of the breweries and had a great time. Elisabeth was very good about communicating with us if we had any questions and had great recommendations. Will absolutely stay there again and Im looking forward to checking out the other rentals available as well :) Thank you for a great weekend!

We stayed in The Cabin for The Great American Eclipse, and I cant say enough about what a fabulous experience it was! From the views to the fully equipped kitchen to what seems like every detail taken care of so lovingly, we didnt want to leave! We had a wonderful time in our comfortable cabin except for the rain, but we cant blame the owner for that! The cabin was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The cable TV was pretty limited but we didnt spend much time watching TV anyway. The owner was immediately available and accommodating for everything we needed.

This was the find of the year. The cottage was beautiful, comfy, cozy, convenient and so clean and fresh. You couldnt ask for nicer hosts and they were very responsive to any questions or info requests. The only problem with this post is it will be harder for us to get back in! But they deserve it.

Just enjoyed another great weekend at a Brightwaters property. Laurelwood Cabin was beautifully furnished and well equipped. This is our fifth stay with Brightwaters on Tioga Trail and I look forward to our next visit. Elisabeth is a gracious hostess and has a wealth of knowledge concerning local sites and events. My husband and I along with three friends spent a long weekend at Mountain Lily Cabin for my husbands birthday and we loved it. The cabin is perfectly equipped and decorated in such a charming fashion. Its also much bigger than I anticipated. Even with five adults, we had plenty of space and never felt like we were bumping into one another though one friend did need to sleep on the twin bed in the living room. The owner Elisabeth was very helpful and attentive. When I had a couple of questions during our stay, I emailed and she responded very quickly and also left a voicemail to ensure our needs were met. I definitely recommend to other travelers and hope to be back myself again too.

Stayed at the Mountain Lilly cabin, and could not have had a more wonderful experience. The cabin was perfect in every way and had everything you could want. The staff was fantastic and really made us feel at home. When in the Hendersonville area, we will always check Brightwaters for availability

My cousins and I stayed at Bungalow 207 to celebrate a bachelorette, and it was just perfect! The cabin is absolutely adorable and homey at the same time. Its also immaculate. Its equipped with everything you need, especially in the kitchen. But my favorite part is how helpful Elisa was. Shes there to answer any question you may have, and she knows everything about the area. The home is in a great location --close to great hikes and short drive to Asheville. Ill definitely be staying in one their cabins again next time Im in the area.

My family stayed a week in Cottage 207 over the Christmas holiday, and had a wonderful experience. The two bedroom/two bath cabin is beautifully decorated in a modern, clean style — but still very comfortable. Anything you’ll need for a day or a week has been thought of and supplied, from extra towels and blankets, to a well appointed, functional kitchen. When I inquired about a barbecue grill, one was made available to us.The cabin is located conveniently right off 64, one of the main routes in Hendersonville. Even so, the cabin was very quiet.Michele and Elisabeth are great hosts and will do everything they can to make you happy. They’ll tell you the best places to go for dinner in town (and where to avoid) and options for local hikes and other outdoor activities.If you are visiting Hendersonville, I highly recommend you stay at Brightwaters Vacation Rentals!

This is our third year here. Two at Bungalow 207 and one at The Cabin. Everything is neat and clean and youre close to everything in downtown Hendersonville. If you have an issue with something, its taken care of immediately. We will continue to vacation here as long as we can.

The staff at Brightwaters Vacation Rentals was excellent to work with. They were immediately responsive and the pound cake they had for us when we arrived was delicious! The cabin was wonderful and had all the amenities we needed in a beautiful setting and ideal location outside of Hendersonville in Tioga Forest.

Our family of 5, including our granddaughter, had a wonderful stay in a Brightwaters Vacation Tioga cabin in June 2018. The cabin was very comfortable, clean, well decorated and well kept. Great location with access to Ingles supermarket and a nice country diner within a couple of miles. Cabin hostess Elisabeth was very gracious. We will certainly return to a Brightwaters vacation cabin when visiting Hendersonville again.

We stayed at Base Camp last weekend. Very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Convenient to everything we wanted to do.

A great experience. I was instantly relaxed when I entered the garden level at the Stone House. The owner is attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Asheville and the mountains (and biking, rafting, hiking) are all easily accessible. Main Street in Hendersonville is charming. We will return.

Great burgers, fun environment, friendly staff

First of all both Michelle (business manager) and Elizabeth (owner) are very kind and accommodating! We (my husband, daughter, son-in-law and their 2 children) stayed in the spacious Mountain Lily cabin which is decorated in HGTV fashion. Even though on busy 64w, the cabin is in the back and lower than the street so we heard little street noise. It was really like being in our own home as comfortable as it was. We definitely perused the deck when my other grown children and grands visited. Just a short drive into Hendersonville made it easy to go downtown to some of the great restaurants. Having moved from Hendersonville after living there for 35 years, the cabin was just the thing to fill a need. I would highly recommend staying here!

We love staying at Elisabeths Brightwaters Vacation Rentals. They are beautifully decorated for a relaxing and comfortable vacation away from home. You have everything you need and her places are so welcoming. They are the perfect place to stay when heading to the Hendersonville/Brevard area.

For our 50th wedding anniversary, we needed a place for a number of family members to stay. We reserved the entire Brightwater Complex to help house relatives from 5 states and from overseas, and it was a great decision. Prices were much better than local hotels, accommodations were outstanding, and we could not have asked for more congenial or efficient hosts. The Veranda and Garden levels in the big stone house are especially attractive and spacious. Highly recommended!

This review is for the Brightwaters Garden, although I feel confident that any of the Brightwaters Vacations rentals would not disappoint! My stay was lovely. Check in was seamless, as they use a door code, provided to you in advance. The temperature was easy to adjust as well. Each bedroom is clean, cozy, and has its own private bathroom. It is the perfect space for 2 adults or 2 couples that want to be together, but also have their own space. The location is 10 minutes from lovely downtown Hendersonville, which is full of cute shops and restaurants. It is also 10-15 minutes from Sierra Nevada, Bold Rock Cider, and the Asheville Airport. Pisgah Forest is a short 20-25 min drive as well. A wonderful and affordable option and alternative to hotels for travelers!

My family stayed at the Brightwaters Gardens on Tiaga road. We rented the upstairs and downstairs units and it was perfectly suited for our family. We enjoyed the porch to drink coffee on and share good times with the people involved in my sons wedding . it was the perfect location to get to Etowah for the wedding service and to Hendersonville to have the reception at the Cedars. Our rehearsal party was at Cummings cove country club. We were very happy to be so close to all the places that we were sharing with our family. Loved our time here! Cozy and comfy house with a great location near downtown Hendersonville and hiking and very close to Asheville as well. We went with friends and stayed at the Foxhole cabin with cute Scandinavian décor and our other friends stayed in a big house next door. Every detail from linens to dishware is accounted for. Everything is spotless. Our party of 10 fit perfectly between the two homes on the property. There are other homes in the same area and would make for a good get together whether there are 2 or 10 or more people.

I live in Hendersonville and have recommended Brightwaters Vacation Rentals to friends and family members that I havent been able to accommodate myself. Everyone has loved their experience with the friendly and caring hosts, beautifully decorated vacation rentals, comfortable and clean rooms, and the location close to Hendersonville, Brevard and Asheville. I am a frequent guest at Brightwaters and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these wonderful accommodations. I stayed many times in The Veranda, and recently in The Mountain Lily and The Cabin at Tioga Forest. I cant say enough good things about all of these places, and the owners/hosts, Elisabeth and Michelle.They are the most gracious, thoughtful, kind people . They pay attention to every detail of each house, and the property. Its peaceful, beautiful, quite, beautiful.Both Mountain Lily and The Cabin at Tioga Forest ste cabins, but they are both large, two bedroom homes, equipped with everything you could ever need. Full kitchen, laundry, lovely outdoor space, comfortable beds and soft linens. Every creature comfort has been taken care of... fast wifi, user friendly remote controls, hair dryer, motion detector outside lights. Elisabeth and Michelle leave a yummy little cake to welcome you! I ALWAYS feel welcome and at home when I arrive in any of the Brightwaters homes. The location is great- 5 minutes to downtown Hendersonville with great eateries, brew pubs, quaint shops. Each house has a wealth of information about local attractions, restaurants, wineries, and cool/interesting historical information.I appreciate the thoughtful attention to every guests need that Elisabeth and Michelle provide. I will return as often as possible on my frequent trips to Hendersonville.

We stayed at the Verandah in Hendersonville. We loved the large bedrooms, sitting areas and especially the verandah; a perfect place for coffee or a glass of wine. The apartment has been recently renovated, is furnished tastefully and everything is spotlessly clean. The beds are large and amazingly comfortable. We will be back again. We came to Hendersonville for my dads 80th birthday and stayed in the garden flat. It was exceptionally comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need. Michele has done a beautiful job with the decor and the stone front porch was fabulous. Both Michele and Elisabeth are top-notch business operators and gracious hosts. It is obvious that they love this property and Hendersonville and want their guests to enjoy it as much as they do. We have stayed at several Airbnbs in the area and two highly rated B&Bs in Atlanta. They dont hold a candle to Brightwaters. HONESTLY. I cant imagine why anyone would ever stay in a hotel. I wish these ladies much success and thank you both for sharing your gifts in returning this house to its original glory. We will be back.

We had a quick last minute trip to the Hendersonville area. We travel with our black Lab, Clyde and were thrilled that Brightwater has some pet friendly houses and had one available. We stayed at Basecamp. It was perfect. The place is immaculate - which is rare for places that allow dogs. We were thrilled just at that point but then as we saw all the thoughtful amenities in the kitchen and bath we knew we had found a gem. The home is exactly as it is pictured. The hostess is friendly and prompt in communication. We will definitely be back.
