Zeke is a genuine, honest, family mechanic. Im always a little nervous looking for a good mechanic for my sprinter, especially as a woman with my sprinter as my home. When the engine was overheating, I called around and looked hard for the best mechanic for the job that would be honest, reliable and treat me fairly. Im so glad I ended up at Zekes! He is honest, incredibly knowledgeable, and professional. He understood my situation and was able to help me out in a timely fashion, diagnosing that is was the fan clutch that needed replacing (and explaining to me how he came to this conclusion). Zeke has excellent communication and gave me a worst case scenario for how much labor & parts would cost (it ended up being much less). He even informed me that there was a warranty on the part and said to give him a call if anything goes wrong within the mileage/timeframe allowed by the warranty. When I called Zeke to tell him my brake light came on he said to swing by and spent time not only diagnosing the issue but explaining SO much to me and making sure I understood what was going on (I was asking questions)! Every time I walk into Zekes Autowerks I feel like Im walking into a family members shop. He is great at what he does, communicates well, is honest and dependable and is genuinely a nice person to be around. He even shared some local spots to check out while Im in the area. I 100% recommend Zeke as long as youll show him respect too.

Zeke is extremely knowledgeable and honest. He could have charged $2000 - $3000 to correct a check engine message but when I read him the code he explained it was a recall issue and referred me to a shop where the work would be done for free. Ill be a customer for life! Thanks, Zeke!

Unfortunately I broke down in my 2008 Dodge Sprinter near Hendersonville. I live two hours away and Zeke took on the difficult task of replacing my engine. His quote was spot on and his work was above par. I was especially happy with his communication and straight forward approach with me. Replacing an engine is no easy task and after I picked up the van there was some issues that Zeke went above and beyond to make the issue right and now my Sprinter is running like its brand new. Talked with Zeke several times. HE directed me to the MB dealer for my emission issue. He could have very easily taken my $1800.00 and repaired my Sprinter and I would have been on my way happy but 1800.00 poorer. I needed a fix on my new to me 2004 Sprinter van and I drove an hour out of my way to have Zeke, one of the few Sprinter specialists in the southeast, see if he can fix her and get me back on the road. Zeke was super helpful on the phone trying to help me troubleshoot my issue. (Try calling a dealer for that kind of service). I told him I could get there about 3:30/4. He said “ no problem, I am here till 5 everyday”. Of course I got there about 4:30 but told him I could stay overnight if need be to troubleshoot in the morning.he ended up pulling me right in and quickly diagnosed a bad turbo hose. Figured he might get one the next day, but he went outside and grabbed a good used on of one of his parts vans. I was off and running before 6 p.m. He did break for a minute to talk to his young children who were wondering why he was not home yet....I was super happy to have an honest, qualified repair tech fix me up after working hours to get me back on the road...

We were traveling from NC to Kentucky in our Winnebago View, which is on a Mercedes Sprinter Chassis. A problem with our ABS system put us into limp mode which prevented us from driving normally. Luckily, we pulled off into Hendersonville and were pointed towards Zekes Autowerks by local mechanics who knew he was a Sprinter expert.We were limited on time, had our dog with us, and we were a long way from home, and thankfully Zeke was able to diagnose the problem, order the proper parts, and install the parts. We were back on the road in less than 24 hours after limping into his parking lot, and we were able to find an RV park 3 miles away while we waited for the part to come in.Zeke was friendly and professional, and taught us some specifics to our vehicle that well-meaning mechanics we spoke with prior to this did not know or care to share with us. Would definitely trust him with any vehicle.

We’re stuck in the middle of the road in Asheville to New York from St Louis and want to go through the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the smokies beauty. Our Forest River Sunseeker RV with MBS Chassis. Our Mercedes transmission was suddenly limited the ability to go more than 35 miles. We thought that would be a hazard to drive in the freeway. We decided to stay at Asheville to get vehicle fixed. We called Good Sam over the weekend. They told us to wait for the phone calls. We called ..and waited… the help was limited. Finally waited till Monday early morning. We can’t wait for their help because it’s endless waiting. I finally started calling several Asheville Mercedes dealers. Their answers were one month waiting. I almost begged them please help us just do the computer diagnosis to see what was the problem. We did check our St Louis Mercedes repair guy. He said it’s more likely a censor problem. He also said you can drive but had to be slow. So we followed his suggestions. Any how, by accident I call a auto repair shop to ask wether they can prey the work? He said we’re very busy and wouldn’t have a chance to do but he suggested I should check with Zeke. I was very happy to take this recommendation. So I called Zeke immediately. His answer wasn’t pleasant I could hear he was very busy but he heard my begging immediately he said drove your RV to my shop. I was so happy because I told my husband and said he would be our savior according my gut feeling. I spent 80 minutes on 191 instead of 34 minutes at freeway because of low speed that’s all we can do. As soon as we got there he came to us and perform the work through diagnostic machine in about 10 minutes he said this is censor to the speed and did not connect to the engine but I couldn’t do the job it must be towed to Charlotte Hendricks autos Mercedes dealer they know how to fix this problem. But not our town. My husband & I were so happy and we really got answers what to do. We knew this is an excellent solution. Zeke did not smile but I knew he was a good man, skilled wonderful Mercedes craftman. I thought we’re so lucky to get right person to solve the problems. The end I asked how much we paid him he said no charge. Can you imagine he was so busy he stopped work to help us. He isn’t expecting our return.

Highly recommend servicing your Volkswagen (including older models, EuroVans/RVs) at Zekes. While on the road (long trips), its often difficult (reads: impossible) to find a mechanic that can/will adjust their schedule and has the ability to work on large vehicles (and, if youre driving a Rialta, most auto shops give a one-word response, no). Luckily, since VW Asheville doesnt work on EuroVans, they recommended Zeke and he made time (within the hour that I called him) to listen to my concerns, inspect the vehicle and get me back on the road. I can tell you from calling (nearly) all of the auto shops from Kentucky to Tennessee to North Carolina, you only need to call Zeke (especially if youre driving a Rialta/EuroVan). Hes kind and has deep knowledge of and experience working on Volkswagens (and vehicles in general).

Zeke is very honest and authentic. Being a female - I find this refreshing in a mechanic as we are often guarded and don’t trust mechanics bc they can easily take advantage of us. I always feel like he has taken food care of my mini and gives me honest feedback about what needs to be done to fix any issues.

Stopped at Zeke’s on our cross-country trip to have the brakes on our 2004 Sprinter check. He kindly fit us into the schedule. He also discovered and fixed the fan clutch, which we didn’t know had failed, thereby saving us from a potential catastrophic cooling system failure. Many thanks, Zeke!

Zeke is the mechanic youre looking for. I have a sprinter and was having a hard time finding someone in Asheville who would touch it, and I was referred to Zekes Autowerks by another mechanic I trust. Zeke is everything you want in a mechanic- communicative, knows his stuff, trustworthy, and affordable. While he was changing the glow plugs on my van, one of them broke as it was coming out. He said this is extremely rare but it can happen. In order to resolve it he had to take the entire engine out my van. He did this (and I believe he might have stayed up most of the night to do it) and didnt charge me a dime for it. Thats some serious integrity. He was very communicative throughout, and when I came to pick up the van he showed me all the old parts and explained everything he had done, which I really appreciate. Im really grateful to Zeke for what he did for my van, Ill definitely take it to him again and I highly recommend him. Thanks Zeke!

I hired Zeke to put in an Espar D2 heater into my 2012 Mercedes Sprinter. Even though he had never done this installation before, which is often done by van outfitters, he learned the install and did an absolutely fantastic, prompt job with the install. I was very impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to share his wisdom. Sidebar, he is one of the only mechanics Ive dealt with during covid who was wearing a mask the entire time we interacted. Give Zeke your business! He is the man!

Zeke, just finished a fairly major job on my new to me 100k mile Cayman S. I could not be happier. He was really good about working with me on what to do, and which parts to use. I had a very complete estimate before the work began. His labor rate and parts pricing are very fair.He took a ton of pictures during the job. I got to see things I wouldnt have known he did. For example cleaning everything he touched. The transmission housing had 100k miles on it and the rear main seal was leaking so it was a mess. He had it looking brand new. I mention this to highlight the care he takes when working on the car. It is obvious to me he cares about doing a good job, not just getting it done so he can get onto the next job.It was a pleasure to do business with Zeke, and he will get more work from me going forward.
