Purchased a brand new scag tiger cat. Machine had 7 hours on it and needed warranty work done. Lady at the desk refused service on the machine. She stated it wasnt their policy to work on a machine that was not bought from them. Even though scag would be paying them for the work. I will be contacting scag about this as well. Would not recommend them.

Lady that works there is very rude. Called today and ask a question about warranty on a new turf tiger II. I was told.. IF YOU DONT BUY FROM US,WE WILL NOT WORK ON OTHER PEOPLES JUNK!!. I call scag Corp and filed a complaint against them and I’m posting on social media my experience and the name of their business! If your in the market for a SCAG MOWER, look elsewhere!

Honest, knowledgeable, fair, prompt. The folks at S G Power Equipment dont want you to have a bad experience. They do want your repeat business.I took my mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine to them recently and appreciated how Kathleen estimated what it might cost to repair it -- from low to high -- all so that I wouldnt be surprised when it came time to pick up the mower.Steve repaired the mower and called me the same day. I was nicely surprised at how reasonable the charge was and the extra effort he took to adjust the carburetor. Steve also gave me a couple of tips for getting better service from the mower.No, I dont like having a problem with my mower. You can bet, though, the next time I have to get it fixed or buy a new one, Im going back to S G Power Equipment!

I purchased a $500 chain saw from this company. Five months after the purchase with little more than 10 hours on the machine (the paint isnt even worn off the bar)the blade lock malfunctioned. I took it back to them for warranty service. They looked at it the very next morning and called to tell me that they took the lock mechanism apart (an item they told me if I disassembled myself would void the warranty) and cleaned it out. They told me saw dust accumulated in the lock and it was caused by a dull blade so it was not covered under warranty. Keep in mind Im not talking about saw dust under the blade cover but actually in the lockout mechanism itself. This is a machine intended to cut wood, it will dull with use but this should not cause dust to get into the blade lock mechanism causing it to malfunction. They do seem like nice folks but in my view will not honor a simple warranty and that says a lot.
