Having a14 year old boy who is reluctant to having any type of extra sessions for school to make him better, is a rough go. The negotiation tactics easily hover over bribery, lets try it for 3 months, and everything in between. With the Covid quarantine, I have seen the mental stamina- in not just him but his cousins and friends, diminish slowly. I understood this and had to understand that I needed the help to get him better at writing because I was losing my patience - which is not good for us or our relationship as parent and child. After several verbal battles, even after the first few sessions, he complied.After the first 4 sessions, he started to make some impressive gains on organizing his thoughts before and during the time he was writing any assignment for any course. It was and still is impressive.The quality that Sylvan has provided from the assessment of what he needed, the one-on-one attention that he receives, and the strides that he has now made with this being his third month, has been nothing short of amazing. What used to take him hours to do has dropped to more than half. The QA/QC that I provide after he completes a writing assignment, has been much smoother and with less to correct.He now sees the benefit and looks forward to the sessions more than he dreading it. I am very pleased with the results and look forward to seeing his growth and improvement all due to going here.I highly recommend Sylvan Learning for any child whom is struggling in school!

My Granddaughter recently took a Sat Prep Course from Sylvan Learning Center/Green Valley, Henderson, NV. She had a very positive experience there. The instructors were were both knowledgeable and helpful. Tina Howard, Director, runs a very well organized and efficient learning center. Nicole Murphy is a very capable Director of Education. The Sat Prep material was the latest edition of the course book. My granddaughter will take her Sat exam next week. She is much more self-confident about taking the exam and hopes to improve her previous score. (Stay tuned)!

Great place, staff is friendly and knowledgable. They offer tutoring in all acedemic courses. My son learned alot about putting together his writing paper, he left with more confidence and understanding

I like the targeted lesson plans. In only 4 weeks, my child has shown improvement in writing and grammar.
