They wanted to charge me $300 to clean a Sheath style wedding dress that had no stains on it and it wouldnt be ready for 3-4 weeks. Absolutely ridiculous! So I found another place, Hudsons Cleaners. They only charged me $95 and had it for 1 week.

Love these guys. Village East is my favorite, most professional dry cleaning business that Ive ever had the pleasure doing business, anywhere in the country.Tina, Lilly, Alice, and Mel, (Ill have to update with the new young ladys name) are all part of what makes this these guys great.Everything is cleaned, pressed, and prepared immaculately. Service is prompt. And the seamstress ladies are insanely great too (oldschool professional tailoring).

I just wanted to share my experiences with Darlene and Mary at Village East Cleaners in Henderson. I moved to Vegas about 2 years ago and lived in the Anthem Henderson area. I am an awkward size of 6 4, long, and skinny so almost everything I buy needs to be altered and I am very picky. About a month after moving here I stopped in and had the pleasure of dealing with Darlene. She altered a few of my designer button ups and they came out perfect. Over the course of the next year I took items to be altered here on a monthly basis. No matter the item I take it in, tell her what its for and it always comes out perfect. All I tell her is the button up is for dress, casual, to be worn with shorts, etc. and she always does a perfect job. One week I came in and Darlene was gone and Mary was there. I was nervous because I had only dealt with Darlene up until then but assumed that based on Darlenes flawless work that Mary would also be very good. Darlenes reputation made me feel comfortable and Mary did a great job. About 6 months ago I moved to the other side of town off the 215 and Fort Apache which is about 20 miles from Village East Cleaners. I have an alterations place a half block away from my new home and I still go to Village East Cleaners for all of my alterations.

This place is great! I use their services a couple times a month and I’ve never had an issue. I’ve also used them for their alterations services and they do great work! They even preserved my wedding dress and it was decent priced and put into a beautiful box. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a new dry cleaner.

I WILL NEVER HAVE ALTERATIONS DONE HERE! Brought in a blouse that was to be taken in on the side seams. I tried it on and a woman pinned it up. I told her it was a little tight and she pulled on the two sides and said it was fine. Needless to say I picked it up and put it on and it was too tight. I did want it for a vacation I was taking the following day, but that didnt happen. When I returned from my vacation I took it back and they let out what they could on both sides. Picked it up and it is still too tight on one side. They ruined the blouse and I cant wear it.

I took my wedding dress to get cleaned about a month ago and they did a great job. I bought my dress in LA at a sample sale and it had make up stains, a wine stain, and it was pretty dirty on the bottom from other brides walking it while trying it. I was really nervous to take it anywhere since my dress is pretty delicate and simple, but knowing that they are a part of the association of wedding gowns really helped me feel comfortable to leave my dress with them. They left my dress looking like new!

I was a little nervous when I dropped off my suit and blouse because they seemed to either be ignoring me or not understanding me. I wanted to know the cost ahead of time (she took my suit before I even glanced at ticket for total) and I wanted a couple buttons repaired on my suit, in addition to dry cleaning. Got my suit back today and buttons are still loose. Also, paid with cash since there is a large fee for using credit card even when the total was $20. Not coming back here again.

I moved back to Las Vegas a year and half ago after being gone 10 years. I always used Village East when I lived her before and started using them as soon as I came back. The quality is great and the employees are fantastic. I usually drop off after work and Sarah always greets me with a smile and remembers who I am. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great dry cleaner.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This cleaner lost not one but two dresses that were brought in to the tailor there. Unbelievable they thought they gave it to a different person with the same last name.

They did a fine job on my dress jackets, but not good on my ties. On one a stain didnt come out, the other now has a hole on the tail end. On all other counts they seem good, just dont do ties.

I am actually sad to write this review...after over 10 years of being a loyal client of Village East Cleaners I decided to take my business somewhere else...The incident that lead to this decision happened during the first week of last May. A friend gave me a very expensive gown because it didnt fit her anymore...I saw the same dress at a local store called LEOR for around $4000 so I knew that she had paid a lot for it. I decided to wear it to a wedding on May 18th but it needed to be shortened. My regular alterations lady at Neimans wasnt available and I was leaving town and wasnt going to be back until the day of the wedding. Since I had always trusted many of my designer pieces (fur, mandalay, dior, etc. ) to Village cleaners for cleaning I thought that I could trust them with a simple hemming. I told Darlene at the store that I was nervous about it not coming out right and she made me feel comfortable about her skills. she said she could do the hem before I left town...when I went to pick up the dress the next day I decided to try it on and to my horror, the dress was long in the front and around three inches shorter in the back. this was supposed to be a floor length dress. she got nervous and promised to fix it by the time I got back. I was confused about how she was going to make it longer! A that fitting she also decided that the zipper needed to be replaced...I had another day before I was set to leave town and again she promised to fix her mistake. she second fitting was even a bigger nightmare. By this time I was really getting desperate...Now I had no time to find another dress and I was leaving with my daughter on a school trip. Again she offered her apology and promised to fix the dress. My last try on was on the morning of May 18th. By this time it was obvious that the dress was beyond repair and I really got angry...I told her that if she didnt have the skills to do the job, she should never have accepted the dress from me. I was nearly in tears because now the wedding was only 4 hours away and I had nothing to wear...what upset me even more is how they treated me. Another woman (she looked either hispanic or native american) came out from the back room and started insulting me telling me that I had been a problem person to start with...I told her how do you expect me not be upset when youve ruined my dress and that youve had three chances to fix it...she said it was a USED dress ..I told her how expensive it was and that why did it matter that a friend had given it to me....I dont want to sound like a snob but my typical evening gowns range anywhere from $400-$2000. Its not like I couldnt afford to buy my own dress. This was just a stunning dress and I was really upset that they had ruined it.What is doubly upsetting is the fact that here was a TOOTHLESS, UNEDUCATED, and TRULY NASTY woman insulting me and telling me to get out before she calls the cops! Part of me wanted to give her my husbands card (he is a dentist) and tell her to get her rotting mouth fixed!!!!To make a long story short, I had to run out and spend $600 on a dress that I didnt love, miss my hair and makeup appointments and miss the entire wedding ceremony of a very dear friend. I tried to get a hold of the owners/managers many times. I left a few messages for a woman by the name of Marilyn who I heard is the wife of the owner and I never heard back.My brother is a very well known attorney in town and I wouldve had much trouble suing this establishment for my losses but in the end I felt like it wasnt worth my time and its taken me 4 months to write this review. Writing this review has reminded me of how badly I was treated and my losses... I may still pursue legal action against them after all. I think in a small town like this and when youve had loyal clients you should take car of them. Thats how small businesses survive...by giving good service and and showing that you value your loyal customers.
