Nice spacious gym. Love the tease of the food scents from local restaurants. Really challenges your mind and gut. Staff just needs to keep up with putting out/stocking the cleaning/sanitizing essentials. Overall pretty good gym.

Gym it’s self is very nice. Quite not many people around. No worries about crowding. I was able to get through my leg e workout without a problem.Only thing I found strange was all the locker were taped off signs post temporally closed 😲 some lockers were used and some available only because people took tape off. I used one that wasn’t tape off. I don’t use this location regularly. Been once before. Guess it for COVID precautions.I’m came back today and see that the lockers back open. Glad to see situation has been rectified.

All the other retro clubs close at 10pm, while this one closes at 8pm on Fridays. All the other retro clubs close at 8pm, while this one closes at 5 on Saturday...Why? Because the owner is cheap.

Started coming here after gyms started opening up. This gym is on top their sanitizing, someone is always on the floor sanitizing. I wouldnt go anywhere else in times like these.

I love the people! It’s like a family. The gym is always well maintained. Machines are working. The music is lively. The classes and instructors are amazing. For only $25 it’s a deal!

The gym is spacious and clean. The staff is approachable and customer service is excellent. There is a variety of exercise classes and equipment for the novice to the advanced. One can grab a healthy smoothie, obtain a prepared meal according to ones preference or a protein bar. Child care service is also available if necessary, as well as personal training. I highly recommend this gym.

I’ve been working out here for a while. Friendly staff, great equipment. You can get a solid workout in for an amazing price at the right time.

This place is horrible. If I could give a -5 stars I would. Not just the location but the business as a whole is good for nothing but trapping you in ridiculous contracts and taking your money. They purposely omit information from you when you’re signing up and will straight lie to your face. I was told that when I was signing up for training that I was able to cancel anytime I want. 2 weeks later, some financial issues was happening with me and I wasn’t able to pay for the training anymore (and let the manager know that I wanted to cancel the membership as a whole) and I let the director of training know in advance that I wasn’t able to pay for it and he straight lied to my face and say he didn’t say that when he did. Changing the payment options DOES NOT HELP. If I’m telling you that I’m not going to be able to pay for the service anymore then why are you still charging me for money I don’t have?Then they’re still gonna charge you and possibly lead you into debt and destroy your credit when you’re not able to pay for their services anymore and trap you in a contract. I recommend the Blink gym instead. If it’s far from you, it’s still worth it. They’re more reliable, authentic and compassionate with their customers. As far as Retro Fitness, you guys need to have some type of meeting to change some things about your business and stop forcing your customers to pay for a service that they’re not able to or you’re gonna have a lawsuit on your hands.

Unfortunately Carle Place closed down forcing me to use this gym until I find another. I realized how much I love the Carle place branch. I am so annoyed with this gym and their broken machines. the LEG PRESS is a favorite machine for most people yet this machine hasnt been working appropriately for months and no one is doing anything about. The machine gets LOCKED. I dont know how many people have to voice their concerns with this machine before they replace it. I hope to join LA fitness again because I would be further into reaching my goals if I was at a gym where I can maintain a routine because the equipments are functioning properly. Retro, you are going to loose a lot of customers. once people can get a good deal at a better gym. For me Im waiting for a deal at LA fitness and Ill be gone.

Rates are cheap 👍🏾 Equipments are good. Relatively big gym. Work out In the morning if you’re pressed for time. Evening is crowded and you won’t get your routine done as efficiently as you may want to.❌If you have plans and serious about your day’s business, don’t come here when they say they’ll open. They’ve been late to open the gym at least twice this week alone.

The 5am crowd is very focused. In and Out. Clean facilities. Only minus is that they dont have enough classes. But overall good gym.

This gym really went down hill, people don’t wipe down the machines when they are finished, The parking lot is horrible, people take up 2 spaces at once. Weights are left all over the gym, The machines are always broken and they feel the urge to constantly move each machine all around the gym finally the most annoying part is the music which seems to get worse each time I go there... it’s such a shame because it used to be a nice

Ive been going to Retro fitness sporadically for 5 years. On my recent visit the place has under gone a huge transformation. It is hugely clean everywhere. Retro staff was visibly wiping equipment, moping the floors and cleaning the mirrors.The equipment has been rearranged and the place has everything for a fantastic workout.

A great place to work out. They have various floor classes, zumba, spinning, and are bringing yoga back. If you are a female, watch out for overly zealous trainers, but that happens everywhere. The equipment is well maintained and the locker rooms are clean. They could use an additional set of electrical outlets in the ladies room for blow dryers or hair irons.

Im able to work out any part of my body.. Theres trainers there to train you. They have the BEST Zumba class.. I love it.. If you want to workout Come join Retro Fitness.. The Employees treat you with the most respect.

Horrible GymMost of the machines are brokenAlso the gym hasn’t had a leg press machine for a while now and they haven’t found the need to put another one in.A Personal trainer at this gym puts their own music in the gym with a blue tooth speaker which is annoying because you are hearing two music at the same time. The one from the gym speaker and the personal trainer who uses the Bluetooth speaker around the whole gym.Gym is mistreated. Feels like a charity based gym. Also the scale is now broken too. Smh

A very friendly staff, but the only complaint I have is the doorways is a little confusing unless you know the area but otherwise the gym is very spacious and plenty of new equipment. For $20 a month you can use any retro fitness gym you cant beat that deal!

One of the worst places to workout. The equipment are not clean and not maintained properly. The staffs are rude and behaves like they own us. Very bad customer service especially the manager. Dont go here and get ridiculed.

The place is nice but there are two workers who have no manners and respect I asked if I could charge my cell phone and they told me they charged $ 10 dollars for charging my cel and they were laughing the manager is super good but two workers there do not have nothing of professionalism

I visited the gym couple of times last year. I found the staff okay could be more accommodating. . The gym is dirty. I have not been back and glad there is a Retro in Carle Place. Carle Place location is further away from my location but worth the trip.

I only went once a year ago and one of the machines werent working. i got charged extra and i never went back. I went back to la fitness across the street from roosevelt field mall. Retro was closer to me BUT la fitness is worth the extra 15 mins. theres way more space and when i was going there i never had issues with machines!

The gym was fine even thogh was lack of some equipment. The gym setting was a little cofusing but I think who got used to it have no complain. I just had a free pass since I was travelling and needes to get my workout done. Thank you for the free pass!

The treadmills are extremely useful. Im training for basic combat training and its absolutely awesome.

You definitely have 5 STARS in my book. After a year & a half I am pleased to leave & much happier with the carle place location, Hempstead location had so many issues from broken equipments,using Windex to disinfect machines more disgusting was when they took weeks to fix the toliet. As someone mentioned I like how they bill you an maintenance fee without your knowledge to do nooooo maintenance..bunch of crooks!! Good riddens ✌️

It’s very sad to see how this gym has declined in the past year. The staff is always on the phone, the current manager is very unprofessional and the gym is always dirty. How can you rob people with a yearly maintenance fee, when maintenance is never done and the staff and management seem oblivious. I have taken my business to the Freeport location, I hope to return to this gym if higher ups resolve the current underlying issues.-Leonard Hendrickson

This gym is the worst first of all i never signed a contract they forged my signature on top of that they told me that i would be billed on the 11th every month and i get late fees because the money wasnt there on the 6th i asked them to have my account transfered to a different retro and i was told it would be taken care of and it was not i plan on having the issues delt with being that not only did i not sign a contract but my signiture was forged i should have no problem doing so.Ok so a few months have passed i tried calling/emailing corporate with no reply i spoke to management who btw is only in a few days a week and they were no help i tryed stopping in and speaking to someone in person after i got out of work and they were closed a half hr earlier then there online information stated...i am going to handle this legally which i am in the process of doing however i want to warm everyone not to join this gym it is a really bad gym and i promise you that you will regret it!!!

Signed up less than two weeks with the hope of working out on weekends after work. Their website and google displays 7pm as closing hour and I went their today(Saturday) at 5:45pm and they told me they close 6pm on weekends.

Not as clean as in the beginning. I advised fake fabio that the mens room had no toilet paper needless to say 40mns later still no toilet paper
