Very helpful. I am not a tech person. I do what I have to do on the computer. I asked if everything would be transferred to the new computer. I was told it will be transferred. Well I wasnt told that my email would not be on the computer or that my addresses would not be transferred. Being a church computer, I have many email addresses that I need. I could open the icon of my Quicken Deluxe but there were no numbers. It was blank.
Did receive excellent service and very responsive. did appreciate the quality and speed in buying this computer as well as the transfer. did forget some transfer from the old to new computer but was taken care of promptly and efficiently. Overall a good experience.. Refreshing

Our son’s very expensive laptop needed major repairs and was just out of warranty. The manufacturer was going to charge an insane amount of money and take months to repair. Staff was very kind but I had a terrible experience. Went in for a RAM upgrade and everything was deleted off my computer- photos, games I no longer have the CD for, game save datas, etc. I called and asked where my things were or how to restore them and was told that not only was there no way, that this happens a lot when they reset computers. And when I got upset (didnt yell or belittle, I dont treat customer service reps like that) all they said was it must have been a new hire that helped you, someone would have told you. No further customer support given, no offers to make it right or try to recover my data, NOTHING, even though I signed up for their tech support monthly subscription. NOT a happy camper, wouldnt recommend!
For someone who is not a technical person these guys made the transfer of information, pictures, and ability to stop paying for storage we did not even need possible. We purchased a new computer from them and are extremely pleased with the set up, teaching, empathy and knowledge. Wed highly recommend this group!!!

My 5 yo home business laptop crashed. Tech Junkies had a few laptops to choose from to replace mine, and were able to salvage the data from my old computer and transfer my business files onto the new one. They had me up and going again that afternoon. The tech was quick to return my initial phone call, and was very knowledgeable and courteous!! They were also to help me get my printer/scanner working with the new laptop remotely. I will definitely be not only returning to Tech Junkies when future needs arise, but am highly recommending them too!!!

I have had computers worked on by Tech Junkies a number of times, and have always been satisfied with the results. This time my SSD needed to be wiped clean, reformatted, and everything reinstalled from Time Machine. All was done and computer returned to me in under three days. Everything works fine.Randy is the Mac guy for Hays area, as far as I am concerned.

I have an Apple computer. It had an issue but was under warranty so I was happy to find Tech Junkies to avoid a mail-in repair. First, let me say, the issue was not resolved. And still I give them 5 stars! How can this be?Prior to me dropping off my item, they were very helpful in accommodating my needs over the phone. They trusted me sight unseen. We got a date set up and they were ready for me, just as promised. After I left my computer, I got a call telling me there was a problem - it seems a previous attempt at repair (I had bought the item as Apple Factory Refurbished) had left the internals in really bad shape - such that the TJ technician could not do the job without possibly damaging it worse. He tried many hours to do the repair but still couldnt. He was honest on the phone and very sorry he couldnt make it work. He worked with me to figure out all the options and go with the best one.I highly recommend TJ for their integrity and concern for the customer. If I lived closer, Id definitely be back (2+ hours one way is a long drive!!).

Appreciate a local business qualified to work on my Macbook Air. Technicians were professional and timely. A bit pricey with the diagnostic test, the price of battery, and labor. Additionally, a document outlined that Tech Junkies exempt from any problems from the repair. Overall, though, a positive experience because the work was completed in a timely and professional way.
I called asking if I could get my phone screen worked on. He politely said they cannot work on Androids but told me where to call that could help and where to avoid that would try and just make me buy a new phone. 10/10 recommend

My iMAC would not boot so I took it to Tech Junkies. They treated me with professionalism and kept me posted on each step of their repair process. Best part: my iMac is repaired, all data was restored, and they took such good care of me! I recommend these guys to everyone!

My Apple Watch stopped working after an update. Took it into them and they told me what would happen. I got it back before a week! The staff was also very friendly and easy to work with!

Needed immediate help with a company computer....diagnosed within an hour, had the part installed (luckily they had one in stock) and ready for pickup within 2 hours! We did opt to leave it overnight to get the hard drive completely cleaned up and organized to enhance performance. Will definitely use this company again!
I have not purchased services here, but called about pricing and they were very friendly and reasonably priced. I took my device in, but they were unable to get into it so there was no data recovery charge. Another place in town was going to charge about 3 times the price for the same service.
Tech Junkies was great! Finding an authorized Apple Care specialist in Western Kansas can be a challenge, but I’m thankful for Tech Junkies. They were fast and reliable. Ryan, Randy and Matt also provided excellent customer service!
I called a week ago to ask if Tech Junkies could just order a key for my MacBook Pro, as one had fallen off. No, I was told; I had to bring it in for the full diagnostic workup. The person on the phone also questioned what I was doing to break the down-arrow key. (I write and edit in English, from top to bottom.) So I drove 160 miles round-trip to Hays, dropped off the computer, explained and demonstrated the problem to a very professional young man, and was told that the diagnostics generally take a couple hours. Two days later, when I hadnt heard, I called and was given a long list of things that were wrong with the computer (which has been well used and still works fine except for that one key) and could be fixed at a cost upward of $700. I said that really all I wanted was a single key, and I was told that had been fixed. So I drove another 160 miles round-trip, paid $109 for the diagnostics (and, I assumed, the key repair), and picked up the computer. That was on Thursday. Today, the key fell off again, and this time I cant stick it back in its slot in a way that allows it to function. You had one job ...Id send you a more private message on your site, but I cant scroll down to use the form.
I brought my computer in here because it was running slow and within an hour that had found that my hard drive was bad. While another reviewer is correct that hard drives are cheaper online, you pay for the convenience and boy was this convenient. They had the new drive installed and put all of my files and programs back on by the next day. The staff were all super nice and were very knowledgeable. I will definitely be bringing my computer back here!!
Overall my experience was very good. Only issue I had was with communication. I was given a 24-48 hour timeline and had to call and keep checking in because I had not heard anything in that time. Besides that, my experience was wonderful and I would definitely take my tech needs their again.
Brought my iPhone in to be looked at for charging and battery problems. The technician Ryan was very helpful. Within 20 minutes he had cleaned out my charging port diagnosed my battery issues and had my battery charging like normal. Thanks guys.

Product was over priced but we purchased the product anyway because we were in a pinch. Then when we found an alternate solution they refused to allow the return of an unused item within the 7 days as stated on the bottom of their own receipt. After a return visit they are mailing a check for the amount of the item minus the taxes paid.

Blown away by how I was lied to. I did major computer repair / tech support for KSU in college. I had problems with my laptop, and no time to fully troubleshoot so I took it in thinking I would let someone who is more in tune with technology give me their thoughts. I had taken the laptop cover off and checked cables before taking it to them. They seemed upset that I broke the seal and I could tell from minute one that they wernt interested in helping. But I left it anyway. They called and said my motherboard was bad and that both my hard drives were erased. I was in disbelief. I bought a sata to usb and ssd to usb adapter off amazon and brought the laptop home. The SSD was on the backside of the motherboard (which appears to have never been removed). Both drives are fine and I recovered all of my data. Now I wonder if the motherboard is truly what is wrong. Customer service is def not their priority.
I broke my apple watch screen and I went in expecting to pay to get it fixed. The associate said that they can send it into Apple and I may not have to pay to get it fixed. Surprisingly this was the case, and I didnt have to pay a thing. Granted it was under warranty, but I didnt know that. I didnt have to do a thing other than drop it off and pick it up.

They went out of their way to help this tech dummy with his computer problems. Have just purchased a new Dell from them so am waiting to see how helpful they will be with learning the programs. Im sure from my past experiences they will be very helpful.
I took my laptop in on a Thursday and was told I would hear back by Saturday. My laptop screen was not responsive though the rest of the laptop was working just fine. I was then called the following morning to come pick up my laptop as it was turning on and working again. However when I arrived I was told that the battery had just been taken out and it was no longer working and that I would hear back the following day. I had made an unnecessary trip and was treated as if I had made up the original phone call to pick up my laptop. I heard nothing regarding my laptop that weekend and then on Monday was called again to come pick it up. I was then told my laptop was irreparable. This was a shock as over the past 5 days I had been told they were sure they could fix it. I was charged over $70 to receive a broken laptop back with no information regarding the problem. I was forced to wait 5 days while being told I would be receiving a guaranteed fixed laptop and being treated like I was clueless. Will never visit again and am sure to tell everyone I know of the amount I was ripped off for absolutely nothing. For the amount of time I had to wait, I expected at least some information for the amount I was forced to pay. A laptop is essential to a college student and I was very upset with the service I was shown.
Staff was easy to work with and very friendly. Our issue was an iPhone issue, and they were able to help us get it resolved without a probablem. I appreciate that they kept us in the loop about what was going on with the phone.
My daughters Macbook Air would not turn on or charge. We contacted Apple, tried a few things over the phone, but they did not work. Apple said Tech Junkies was a certified Apple repair place. We took the computer in. It was still under warranty too. She had the computer 3 days later and it works fine. Great service!!!
Although my computer was not able to be fixed, I still felt that the people who helped me were extremely helpful and friendly. I hope to not have problems with a computer anytime soo, but if it happens I definitely will plan on coming back.

The staff at tech junkies in Hays Kansas are not only knowledgeable but they are also very professional. Took my Mac book pro in referred to them by Apple and Andrew took over my case he ran diagnostics for about two days and finally found the issue with my mac book he kept me up dated on every thing that was done to my Mac and contacted me when the issue was found. Although the computer was returned to Apple for a new replacement I was very satisfied with their customer service when Andrew was not in and I called for an up date Chad also kept me up dated on the situation. Attention Land Of Oz Apple users out here in the sticks where the deer & buffalo roam and they don’t sell or fix Apple products. Now in Hays America by-god the fantastic folks at Tech-Junkies just of Vine Street on the North end of Hays. Their hardware geeks have gone to extensive Apple School and can do all Apple warranty work and use factory parts to do Apple authorized repairs including servicing an @Apple Care Plan” and the live help at Apple recommend Tech-Junkies if they can’t fix it over the phone.I would recommend them to any Apple product users out in Western Kansas who don’t want to ship it back or take it to Tulsa where the next closest authorized repairs.Plus they were all nice guys, smart & knowledgeable, did what they said they would do and when all at a fair price. I had them fix two MacBook Pro’s for $100 for one and $200 for the other $3K machine to now work again.

Not only did they charge my card $182 WITHOUT my concent but when I tried to ask them about it they said I should have known that they would change me that AFTER he told me my total was $80(which they also charged me)!! Total scam! Then after he REFUSED to refund me the money he STOLE, he had the nerve to call the police on ME, sir YOU are the thief! He knows what he is doing trying to get over on people!! DONT use them unless you wanna be scammed!

Upon becoming aware of Apples battery replacement policy expiring at the end of 2018, I called Tech Junkies and inquired about replacement of my iphone 6 battery. I was told they had the replacement batteries in stock and to come in and have my battery checked. After driving 30 miles and waiting 30-45 minutes to see someone, they checked the battery and found it only qualified for a discounted replacement. However, my iphone is a 6s instead of a 6 and they were out batteries for the 6s. At this point the problem was of my making (never mind the fact that they never inquired as to which iphone I had). I was unaware of the differences between the 6 and the 6s and never specified which one I had.They apologized for my inconvenience and said they would order the proper battery, call me when it came in and honor the pre year end price. After not hearing anything from Tech Junkies for seven weeks, I called today (February 14th) and was told that my order had been canceled due to the fact that no down payment was made. No mention of payment was ever made upon my December visit. Not only was the original order canceled but the price of the battery originally quoted could no longer be honored.I sincerely hope their technical competency exceeds that of their customer relations.
My recent, and only, experience with Tech Junkies was very unsatisfactory. In short, they do not do what they say they will do, make promises they have no intention of fulfilling, and demonstrate terrible customer service practices. I have since visited with other customers of this business who had similar bad experiences. I would definitely not recommend them!

I have had numerous problems and questions on computer issues in the past, and when I turned to Tech Junkies, all my worries were behind me. They were fast, efficient, understanding and above all, in my opinion, very professional. I get the type of support I thought I might never get living in a rural area. Talk to confuse you into spending more money that you do not need, try to get me into contract to lock you into spending a certain amount of money. Seen 2 un happy customers while I was in there, both that had been there before and came back because they did not fix the problem.

This place is terrible! What kind of a computer store charges $100.00 for a 500GB hard drive? In this day in age thats totally absurd. I guess for Tech Junkies, its standard practice. On top of the outrageous prices, their customer service needs a little tune up as well. When I asked if theyd go down a little on price, the guy at the counter just laughed and told me that they sell a ton of these drives at this ridiculous price. The sad reality is that Hays KS does not have very many computer stores to choose from. Neither Wal-Mart, nor Radio Shack carry internal hard drives so this leaves Tech Junkies as the only place in town I could find one. This was supposed to be a gift for my grandmother to add some extra storage space to her aging computer. I can order a Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB hard drive, which is double the space as this 500Gig online from Newegg for $60.00 plus free shipping. Honestly, youd be better off just taking your business elsewhere or better yet, ordering your computer parts online from reputable vendors such as Newegg or Amazon to avoid being ripped off by this place.
