Didnt care much for this place ... They did a hitch for my truck ... Forgot a small detail .. Took longer than I was told in the beginning ... Everything was brand new including the truck .. Had to go back to complete the job .. They charged me for something that was part of the original quote .... JOHN tried to charge me more than had been discussed originally ... Nothing was added from the original quote ... This place is good for picking up some items that are not readily available just anywhere such as lights .. Locks for truck . plugs.. Small hitches .....as for the installation experience i did not care much for Johns efforts however workmanship was up to par

I had a hitch installed on my Subaru Crosstrek for a bike rack. The worker was personable and answered all my questions. After the hitch was installed, he and went through all the parts on my bike rack with me, set it up, even lubed my lock. Took about an hour, easy-peasy :) I highly recommend this place!!!

They scammed me for a order I paid for a year ago. They claimed a follow up email was sent however I only received a order confirmation email. They refuse to ship me my product or give me a refund. Poor business practices. Stay away

*** I Wish i could i could negative stars... I live in Hawthorne and I am a big advocate for small business, especially within my own town so I decided to go to FDR Hitches (fka Hawthorne hitch&trailer) plow located on Goffle Rd. Due to my plow not working. I brought my vehicle in 2 days prior to a major snow Storm.The morning of a snow storm I called to make sure my plow was ready and I was told yes. Once I got there I waited 30 mins in line spoke to the store manager who informed me you are good to go. As I start walking out I am informed by the manager, we made a mistake your plow couldnt be fixed, have no idea whats wrong with it and we have to refund your card for the amount. Now, I proceed to ask them what am I suppose to do because I have multiple properties that need to be plowed. The manager response is I dont know what to tell you. As I am standing there in disbelief that this is really happening on top of their responses, I feel like cursing at them but I control myself. The manager sees how heated I am, so he processed to get the technician now is when this place turns into a circus. The manager asks the technician was his truck done, he responds by saying I think so I dontremember there are so many trucks here. I thought I just walked into a prank, but he was serious. The technician further tells me he couldnt figure out the problem and gave up. At this point, I am speechless and are you serious, what kind of customer service and business are you running.This place is not organized or professional in their treatment of customers needless to say I will never go to them, they dont deserve anyones hard earned dollar.
