Took my toddler son here for the first time. The older gentleman who cut his hair was phenomenal. My son sat on my mother in laws lap. I knew we were gonna have some minor issues at certain parts during the haircut and he was so patient with my son. He was quick but really efficient and gave my son the best cut he’s ever had! This will not be my last visit!!!! Toddlers are not easy to deal with and they are definitely not easy to try and give a haircut to so the experience was noted and appreciated. Diana is brilliant and experienced. It was my first time in the shop and I didn’t quite know how to explain what I wanted. Within a few words, Diana knew what I was thinking of and gave me a better cut than I expected.Diana is experienced with every hair type and explained to me how my hair type fits with certain cuts.To add icing on an already perfect cake, Diana is very humble and great to talk to.I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area and I will definitely be a return customer!

A great place to get a hair cut

Everyone wants to feel like family when they are doing something. The incredible thing about this place is they manage exactly that from the second you approach the door. The mere fact that it is a family run business should be a giant heads up that they will treat you like one of their family members. As covid procedures subside this is your place to begin looking and feeling back to normal. Do not go anywhere else.

I moved to White Plains a few years ago and one of the first things I did was look for a barbershop. Ive went to a few different barbershop in the area but I wasnt able to find any as good as Hawthornes Finest. Alex, Jacob, and Diana give great cuts at a fair price. There isnt much of a wait especially now that you can book appointments online. I highly recommend this barbershop if youre looking for a great cut every time.

Not the best place for long hair-Have been coming here for years and can say that I haven’t been consistently satisfied with the quality of my cut. I have long hair and I will say that Alex cuts hair great, I almost never come out of the barbershop dissatisfied whenever he cuts my hair. However I’ve had a number of experiences with Diana where I have asked just to trim around the ear and take a little bit of volume off the top, and she cuts hair in places that I don’t want my hair cut (like the front, and buzzing the entire sides of my head). It’s a struggle because Alex seems to understand how I want my cut almost every time. Have bounced between different barbers to find someone who can nail long hair and I have to say Hawthorne’s Finest can’t quite nail it.

Just moved into the area from the city and I fell In love with this spot after trying a few places. These guys give real quality haircuts in a reasonable amount of time. All the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. Ask for Jacob. He’s got a great personality and has an artistic talent.

The guy who runs this place is the man!Always takes his time and pays attention to detail. Very nice, good conversation if you enjoy that during a cut.I live out of state but I always come here when I am back home for a solid cut every time. Highly recommended.

I have been coming here from the time the shop first opened years ago, and now I take my 5 year old and 3 year old as well. It is a basic, prototypical barber shop which is exactly what I was looking for, for me and my boys. This place is great, everyone is so friendly and good to the kids. Prices are very reasonable.

Alex cut my hair today - he was a very nice man and cut my hair better than anyone has in a long time. All of the barbers greeted members of the community as they walked in - it provided a nice old school atmosphere. The hot towel at the end is a small but nice touch. Found my barber shop for the foreseeable future. Highly recommend.

From the moment I walked in, I was treated warmly and felt very welcome by the barbers. I could simply tell by the influx in customers, that Hawthornes Finest Barbershop really carries out its name. I got a simple cut: 1/2 on the sides and scissors on top. The entire time I was getting my haircut, the barbers kept a positive and entertaining small talk with the other customers and myself. The only reason I dont give this establishment 5 stars is because I personally feel like the decor of the store can be updated a bit. I know the decor is supposed to give an old-fashioned feel, but even that decor feels old and can use some new touches to enhance the store overall. The price was average, but ultimately a good haircut is the only thing I asked. Overall a good barbershop and I would recommend trying it out if youre a new customer.

Alex cut my 16 month old sons hair today and it was a great experience! Alex was very quick in cutting the hair but also very calm and patient when we had to shift positions so that he could cut my sons hair from all angles. My little guy looks great with his new hair cut! :)

Asked the guy if he could do a fade, and a line up, he said yes, the haircut took 5 minutes and it was very rushed. I had to go home and use a razor myself to fix the spots he never even touched. Only plus is that its open when most barbers are closed.
