Be careful of the service items the service advisor recommended you. Most of them (or even all of them) are not needed.I went to AutoFair Subaru early this year for the oil change and the state inspection. I used to go to the dealer in NH, but because I wanted to save another trip to get the MA inspection during Covid, I came here instead.The advisor came to me after the work and showed me a list of items that need to be performed to my 4-year old car with only 32,000 miles on it. The items are about $2,000 in total and include the 30,000 mile service that has already been done last year.After I pointed that out, the advisor admitted that the technician just recommended the services based on the mileage instead of the real situation of my car. This comment made the perfect sense, because the recommended services didnt even seem right based on the multi-point report where everything showed either average or good.The joke was not over after I left the dealership. Their staff kept emailing and calling me for the unnecessary service items for almost a month. To me, this place is not professional at all.
Attention was really nice people are very nice. When I took my car out of the dealer and took the highway the hood was not close so I stop at a side and before close the hood check and the radiator reservoir cap was open. Later when I get home part of the dash board just felt in my hands. I was there just for a recall and I hope never get back there

We were 2,000 miles away from home, on our first of three days of driving back, when our Crosstreks air conditioning stopped working. Wecalled AutoFair in Haverhill in the off chance theyd be able to help us with just 1.5 hours notice. I chose to visit AutoFair because their online pricing seemed to accurately reflect their actual pricing (uncommon, it seems, with Subaru dealers in the area) and I liked the business development rep I spoke with on the phone (Josh). My salesperson (Nicholas) and the whole team were transparent, respectful, and easy to work with, I got top dollar for my trade, and I couldnt be happier with my new Forester.
Dealership communication was awful. Called and spoke with 3 people including the business manager about a vehicle. Was assured the vehicle was on the lot available in stock. Drove 6 hour round trip to get screwed around by sales manager when car was not even at dealership. They attempted to push me into a car that was over $5k higher in price instead while blatantly lying throughout the process.Don’t waste your time. Plenty of other Subaru dealers within driving distance

Nardi was extremely helpful, was able to fix the tire that a local tire company claimed could not be fixed safely, confirmed the tire wear was negligible when the other company was trying to quote me new tires for a vehicle that only had 5k miles on it and Subaru did my alignment for free even though it had been just over a year and the warranty wouldnt cover it. Autofair Subaru is great!

I am really late writing this review. I guess late is better than nothing. We wanted to turn in our Outback and lease a new Outback. I feel we were very lucky to meet Cliff Lawrence. I liked his professional way of doing business. We got the exact car we wanted and a very reasonable deal. When I went to pick up the new Outback I left some paperwork in the old one. Cliff found it and called me. I asked him to hold it and I would pick it up later. I was surprised when he said he would bring it to me. That is real service. I am sure I will be a repeat customer. Brought my used car into the dealership for one simple service today. They test drove it for one mile after servicing it, came back and told me the car was failing (both engine and transmission) and tried to sell me a new car. Not trustworthy people. As someone who is vulnerable because of my lack of car knowledge, they tried to take advantage of me.

Went there for a test drive on a WRX, turns out “buyers for WRX hate to see any mileage on a new car, so we can’t let you test drive, not even within the parking lot”. Very interesting… cause I did a test drive on a new 2021 WRX right after leaving here at another Subaru dealer.

An initial disconnect between the sales staff was a deal breaker for me. However, Ray Lima really stepped-up to the plate to correct the problem and make things right. That means a lot these days and we were able to turn things around. The result was a positive outcome for both parties.
Do not come here. We came in trying to purchase a nice used car with a sticker price of $17k. They tried to swindle us in a payment plan of $6k down, $280-300 a month for 72 months. Financing about $13k after trade in, taxes, etc. That is over a 15% interest rate. Come on!! Horrible, sleazy salesmen. Repeat, do not come here. There are much better Subaru dealerships elsewhere that we would happily recommend, but not this place.

The air conditioner on my 2008 Tribeca wasnt cooling. Auto Fair said the evaporator was leaking and compressor failed. It would cost $2,342 to repair. Since they were looking, they found another $6730 worth of needed repairs. I then took the car to a local auto mechanic for a second opinion. He repaired the airconditionar by changing a switch. The other needed repairs were insignificant. Total charge $90. I had also test driven a Forester while waiting. I can assure you I will not buy nor have a car serviced at Auto Fair again. There was nothing FAIR about this experience.
Appt. was quick and painless, very professional .Service adviser was very pleasant, and courteous.She also was recommending future service for the vehicle at 60,000 miles so there will be no surprises. I like that!
Update: I received a call from the Service Director and discussed my issue. Joe was very understanding and resolved my concerns. Im revising my rating as I believe my issue was a simple mistake and not reflective of their normal service. After my experience, I recommend calling if you have any issues.Initially rated 2 stars because they didnt complete service as expected, but they were very friendly when the car was brought in for service, and Im still optimistic that the work they actually completed was done correctly.Had my Forester in for the recommended service at 24k miles. This includes checking tire pressure, and that was not done. I knew one tire was low when my daughter took the car in, the service record shows a checkmark indicated all four tires were checked and good. The next day the tire pressure indicator light came on due to low tire pressure on the same tire that was low when dropped off. Checking the tire pressure and adding air should be one of the simpler services included. I had concern about other checks being completed and that the additional work they recommend was necessary.As info, I did have my daughter add air to the tire and no drop in pressure for the last 3 weeks.
I had my first complimentary oil change and tire rotation and it was done in less than 30 minutes. Jesse was very kind.
This place is good when you buy a brand new car. They will take proper care of your car for you. As time goes on, maybe on your 3rd service, these guys no longer pay attention to what mileage you should drive for your next service. They put a sticker on my car saying that I should come back after 10,000 miles with just basic oil (supposed to be 6,000 miles). Plus, SOME of these guys are always in a rush.I understand that you are in a rush but, if you are not ready to give me my car back and talk to me, why even come and tell me that my car is ready? Wait until you have time and then, you call me.Every car owner wants to know what is wrong with their cars. At least, ask someone else who has time, to talk about my issue(s).Next time I get a bad service like that, Ill come back and put the persons name here just so everyone is aware of that person.
With most of the other reviews being positive, I was hoping to have a better experience. Had a delightful sales rep gather my information, and let me test drive a Crosstrek. Following that, she brought her sales guy through - and he was relentless, manipulative and just so pushy. He kept trying to have me close on the spot, even though I told him 4+ times I just wanted to gather quotes. It pushed past the boundary of just regular annoying car-salesman that exists everywhere to highly obnoxious and condescending.Upon leaving the dealership - they sent me many emails. I responded to each one saying I wasnt interested and to stop. It was actually incredible how they didnt read anything I sent, and just continually responded with the same question of Hey do you want to check-in, finish the deal etc with each reply. Definitely not a humanizing experience whatsoever regarding communication.Anyways - ended up getting a fantastic quote at another dealership for close to $100.00 less a month, so do recommend people shop around the dealerships to get the best quote. They definitely try to take advantage of new/younger car buyers.

Good service, but not happy with management’s handling a complaint I had. Bought a used Subaru that had 35000 miles on it. I had a key issue and came in to have fixed. Had other things I needed fixed (new tires). The one item for approximate $600, was for 30000 mile service check up. I felt I should not have had to pay for that AT ALL as the mileage was over that when I got the car. They gave me choice of $600 serbive or $300 cash, which I chose. Otherwise, service personnel very professional and courteous.

Brand new vehicle but the bumper has an inch long scratch and all I was offered was a free gas tank fill when I come in after 6 months. We caught the scratch when the vehicle was pulled around for me to drive off. Hoping to get a call from management as that is not enough when you lease a new car and price drops as you drive off the lot! Registration didnt go smoothly, wasnt as planned but that was no fault of AutoFair. Jose and Ryan met me at a price that was comfortable for my family.

With this being my first purchase from a dealership, I did not know where to set my expectations. The buying process started simple but soon turned into a royal pain. However, this was in no way due to the dealerships handling. Much can be said about the disorganization by the state of Massachusetts and how they have failed at the covid crisis and the impact its had on businesses and consumers. One would think registering a vehicle with an out of state license would be reasonably simple but not in Massachusetts. With no temp tag, and appointment only rmv visits booking out almost a month, it was impossible to sign and drive. The hoops that this dealership has been jumping for me is nothing short of above and beyond. From the fly by night used car salesman in Florida to your everyday Craigslist seller, I feel Ive seen it all. But the staff at this dealership have truly exceeded my expectations in their handling of a messy situation and will have my business again should I purchase another subaru.

Once I was in and settled Shaun Padilla one of the sales reps came over and started the leasing process. Not once did I feel pressured or like I had t buy extra things that I didnt want. once we realized that the interior of the 2020 Legacy was tan, we started to talk about numbers and possibilities of a 2021 that had back interior. things worked out really well after discussing lease prices that I did end up going with the 2021. the financial team was so professional and they had me in and out as fast as possible.i couldnt imagine going through this process again with anyone but AutoFair. everything was explained to me so patiently. To top it all off, Shaun knew it was my birthday and he put little balloons in the car as a surprise for when I picked the car up. VERY THANKFUL

I was told by Cliff that I would be getting a free 1 year Starlink trial subscription. However, I recently discovered that that component only comes with Subaru Certified Pre-owned and not AutoFair Certified. Later, while going over the list of benefits with the finance manager, I recall being told that a 1 year Starlink subscription comes with the purchase of that specific vehicle. I always understood my vehicle to be certified Subaru pre-owned, the logo Subaru Certified Pre-owned had been listed with the vehicle on their website and I remember that feature being affirmed to me by Cliff. Either way, it was stated to me that a yearlong Starlink subscription is part of the purchase that I am making and Ive since found out that it is not. It shows a lack of ownership to their promise.
Got my boyfriend’s car serviced here a few weeks ago. We usually go to McGovern but they couldn’t fit me in last minute but I’m really thankful I made the trip to Autofair! They did an excellent job, they even detailed his car. An added bonus, I got to play with their cutest canine staff member while I waited for his car. Will definitely be back with treats for Stella!!!
STOP contacting me! I have a fleet vehicle and the sales people continue to call and email me regarding a warranty extension and also new models. They continue to say I contacted them which is a lie- they also call nights and weekends. Josh their inside sales rep gets combative when I keep telling him not to contact me. Totally unprofessional sales tactics. If I had any interest in buying a Subaru in the future I’ll drive to another state to avoid this location.
Shady Shady Shady. once they found out I had equity in my trade in they re-worked the numbers to absorb that equity without it benefitting me at all. I received a quote for a lease with 2k down for a monthly payment of $400 (i was never going to put the 2 k down, i knew i had equity i was going to use). Once in the dealership they made an offer on my vehicle without knowing how much i owed on it, giving me instantly $1700 in equity. so in reality i should have only had to pay the difference down to get my monthly payments where i wanted them. The sales rep mumbled, worked fast and any questions i had on what the walk out price was he just diverted that it wasnt his side of the business to get with the finance manager. i made it a point to say i wasnt putting anything down and that i was going to use the equity to keep the payments down....as my wife is finishing up paperwork (i was on my way to pick up my son) he asks for the $2k down. TIMEOUT, not what we discussed. and anyone thinking credit was an issue, not the case, tier 1 credit. We walked away from the deal because they were being shady with numbers. At this point we had signed everything, we asked for the paperwork to be shredded, which they did not do. we called a few times asking them to confirm our information was destroyed and they kept putting us on hold. i sent an email to my original contact twice without response. Then 2 days later i get a notification from sirius XM congratulating me on my new car purchase. Not impressed at all with this experience. I have bought many vehicles and this is not what i would call a good experience by any means.
