I called Ashland Hollow after a Google search for clock repair near Cottage Grove, MN. Fred was very friendly, easygoing, and was happy to walk me through his usual process so it was easy to understand. After coming to inspect/pick up the clock internals (it was immediately obvious it needed an overhaul) he brought it back to his shop and was able to complete the repairs we needed in a very reasonable time frame for a very reasonable price. He also took the time to explain the function and care of the clock to me so that we can maintain it. He was happy to explain how it worked and answer all my questions. Well definitely be going to him for help with our clock in the future. Thanks, Fred!
I brought my wall clock to Fred to get fixed after it had stopped working. He not only fixed it, he did a thorough cleaning and told me the history of the clock. The clock is working great now and I truly appreciated the time, care and quality work he put into it. He also told me he guarantees his work up to one year from the date of pick up. Great person to work with and VERY knowledgeable about clocks. Thank you Fred!
Im not sure why crazy lady below gave 1 (Star) probs because of the price, I really didnt want to make a payment of $250 to move my grand father clock, plus it wasnt a Commercial vehicle...... That being saidI was amazed on how much knowledge Jim knew (Owner) He was careful, patient, understanding and took time to explain how everything worked, my grandmother passed and left it to me and its from the 1960s and he took it all apart and stored all the pieces in foam and the move was perfect and after he polished it and took his time to make sure I knew how it worked and winded and performed, I highly recommend that you have them do your cleaning and move... much love and best regards,Dom.
Gentleman couldnt repair watch, yet pointed me in the right direction, thanks.
