The place is clean. And the employees are descent. But when you need help finding something there is no one around, when dont need help there is one every ten feet.

Had great service from a young associate. He helped me find the right size lightbulbs. But then also plugged one in for me so I could see how bright it would be. Great customer service.

Eddy was such a good help in the window dept. Good attitude very pleasent.

Oh dear. Menards. A place where time stops. Usually, everyone is helpful and kind. Today was a different day. The employee in the cabinet department was off his game today to the point where I told him I would come back when someone else could help. He was obviously stressed out, but is that the customers fault? He was cussing and deep sighing (I have a pre-teen so this behavior was particularly frustrating..the deep sighing, not the cussing) and yelled at someone on the phone. He was all too happy to push me away. Which, hello! If Im asking for help with cabinets its because Im going to put down a bit of money. Im sure his manager wouldnt be happy about that. Im about to make a major life decision on my familys kitchen and I didnt want him to screw it up. Anyways, when I pulled around to pick up the kitchen sink and flooring I had purchased, the security guard was even more rude. The redeeming employees were the one in the flooring and the employee who brought out my orders. Thank you to Jose and Tanner. 👍🏻

It is time to ditch the masks for those who have been vaccinated or are comfortable to do so. It could easily be masks are requested but not required. I spend about 1/4 the time I used to spend because of the mask rule.

I was in the Hastings Nebraska location on 6-26-21 around 3:00pm to purchase materials for a new floor for my house. we were looking for a product we bought about a year ago that you appear to not carry anymore. The associate that was helping me (Brett) could not find it in the system he claimed, we even provided a SKU of the product. I asked where the 16x16 title was and he waved me to an isle but did not take me nor offer to help show me where its at. I could not find a matching 16x16 tile or any 16x16 tile at all. Menards didnt carry that size of product Brett said when i inquired with him again. So i asked that if i could return what i have so that i can get current available materials. Brett did not know so he called the General Manager of the Store (Steve). Steve asked if we had a receipt, this was being relayed through Brett on the phone not face to face, to which we do not have the receipt and Steve said that we could not return it to Brett over the phone. Now we asked to talk to Steve the GM up front face to face to make sure we are not missing anything for a possible return. He said no receipt no return and literally shrugged his shoulders and walked away without offering any other assistance to resolve the issue. Steve Didnt offer to look it up or look at our card history for the purchase. I did not feel like i was helped properly and that he even tried to help me in any way. So i called the Grand Island Nebraska location and asked to speak with the GM of that location (James). James actually looked up the SKU and he did find it. Confirmed that it was no longer carried by Menards. Here is how James went above and beyond what Steve could. 1. James looked it up and found it. 2. James emailed the company to see if they could offer me any of the product Im looking for, because I wasnt looking to return but to purchase more. 3. James offered to look through our Menards card history to find the purchase so i could return in the event the company could not get me the product i wanted. I accepted James help and gave him my contact info. None of this was offered by Steve in Hastings I called back to the Hastings Nebraska location and talked to Steve again. I asked if he had looked up the SKU him self. He said no. I Asked why he didnt offer to look through my card history for the purchase. He said it was because he assume the other associates did. I asked him if he even asked if anyone did any of these things or if they told him they did these things so that he didnt have to. He said no. So he did not care if the other store employees helped me properly nor did he care enough to properly help me which is obvious if he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away from when when I wanted help. The Manager Steve at the Hastings location is doing your company a Huge dis-service.

Always clean and well staffed. They are knowledgeable and able to help when needed.

Menards was good. They exchanged the product I bought that was the wrong size. Had no problem.

They called us and told us what they had shorted on our delivery was in and we could pick it up. After an hour of waiting they told they didnt have it.

I just love this place. The flashlights, the light bulbs. Even though I couldnt talk cuz of the face mask this place has always been the best in my book. Rude management people, sales people out on the floor dont have a clue about what they sell, if you can run one down, as in if, they see you looking for help they run and hide so as not to help you. tool selection is mostly overpriced cheap poor quality tools. for those of us that do quality work mernards in Hastings is a last resort.

I love Menards but when I checked out I had bought a air fryer and they charged me for the extended warranty without asking I live 60 miles away this was wrong charging me for something I didnt want

To be honest, the “countertop” expert knew nothing about counter tops. Gave idea for a cut that would not work, literally not possible with attached backboards.Not to mention being here 4 times, no one within 100 yards that can help. Only guy said he didn’t know much and couldn’t help.This is why I use Home Depot

Menards has just about anything Ive ever needed for any project. Also, special order items revived in timely manner in good condition.

Our experience was not great due to miss cut carpet. However James did everything he could to make it right since it was a store error. Also had trouble with laminate flooring which yet again James made it right with us. If it wasnt for him we would not be coming back. Thank you James for your cooperation along with your carpet/floor department team. As Brian stated we are those people he was told about. Never did figure out if that was good or bad but we were laughing so it is all good. Just hoping and praying round two of carpet and flooring will be all good and installed soon.

The prices are perfect for the items that they are being sold. The employees are very kind and will help you find anything and everything. Cant find what youre looking for you can go online and Menards will order it for you. All merchandise in good condition no trouble in bad service not very crowded and has a great variety of choices. I made a purchase there that was not priced correctly. The shelf tag was placed in the wrong spot. Instead of offering me the difference in pricing or showing appreciation for pointing out the error, the manager said No, your not getting that for that. And stomped off to get the one that was supposed to be for sale. I understand not wanting to lose money, but valuing a customers experience has to be important as well. A little more communication would have been appreciated. Will seriously consider how I was treated before shopping at store again.

Everything we were looking for!

We had a terrible experience yesterday and today. Yesterday around 9:50 am, it started with a woman in building materials telling me 2 times(twice), that insulation would be a certain price. Then today, we go into the store in Hastings and the price from yesterday DOUBLED!!!!!! So I just hope that you get some better customer service for the store, especially when customers depend on knowledge!!!!

The special order delivery time needs work. I have been waiting on 5 shelves for 6 weeks and they still have not shipped. This is not the local stores fault but a company issue. One week later from this post and still no shelves. Can get no answer about them.

Do not order anything from this store. We ordered some doors with frames and only the doors came in. We have been waiting over a week with the promise the jambs will be here today or tomorrow. As we all know tomorrow never comes and neither does our order.

They have a great selection of it quite a bit of stuff including a few pieces of furniture, they even offer some groceries including cold food and Frozen, they have a nice rewards system also. My only complaint is its kind of difficult to find staff to help you at times and the stores large if you dont know what youre doing.

I found the right vinyl flooring at a great price. And I bought some delicious coffee. I like this place!

It a good place to shop for hardware

I find it a really good place to go for almost anything you need. Occasionally you may come across something they dont carry. There pricing is comparable with other hardware stores.

Fast and easy

The main entrance says exit, but there are no carts. You have to go all the way down to where the entrance is . And there are no checkouts there. I have said many times they need to put carts down where everyone comes in. Its a real pain . They closed off the garden center checkouts which I miss. I don’t purchase garden items there with the hassel of hauling it all the way into the store

Hastings store is so much nicer than the Grand Island store. I even think that it is bigger and even better organized.

Good, except some of their wall mounting shelving kits are not in the correct area and therefore you are surprised at checkout with the price. (Example a $17.49 items was in a $7.28 items area).

It irritated me that I had to wear a mask to shop. Bars are open in Hastings (NE), I assume bar patrons arent wearing masks.

Very helpful staff! They put an order together, everything we needed was in stock and loaded within a short amount of time.

Short staff as always, but I have the right to refuse you service if you do not wear your mask all the way up thats fine. Ill return these items and get my money back and youll go on unemployment for awhile. Just a simple right.

I would like to take a moment to write a review about my interactions with this location. I have two littles and we wanted to buy a swing set. I was going to put this together by myself. I had help locating what I wanted and loading it up.Lance, the General Manager and Tracey, Building Construction Manager, went above and beyond what an employee could do. They made sure that I was taken care of and that the swing set was child safe.I had personal hiccups with the slide company and the manufacturer of the swing set, Lance took time out of his day to call them and help me try to solve my problem. (Their customer service was horrid and didnt help.) Lance and his team in the Building Materials helped me with my issues with a smile.Being a woman building a swing set practically alone, they didnt make me feel as though I could not do it. They didnt question me when I said I needed more wood, they helped me located my bits that I needed and showed me where things were. My oldest son is 2.5 years old and they interacted with him and helped him make decisions about what we needed. That was awesome to see the employees engage a child who was just about over being at Menards for the third time in one day.Thank you to Lance, Tracey, Mike, Kyle and a few others that I dont remember your names. I will be a customer of this Menards as long as we live in the area. Your team is the way a TEAM should interact with the customers.

For the most part, if Menards dont have it, you dont need it, or they will order it.

We visited 2 Menards stores today, Hastings, NE and Kearney, NE. I cant say enough good things about Menards! We are remodeling and live out of town from a Menards store. For that reason, we have purchased more than we needed and have had a lot of returns. Not one customer service clerk has complained or made a remark. I believe the sales people in Hastings as friendlier than Kearney but weve always received help and advice when needed. The Menards ad is always the first thing we look for in our weekend paper. Im waiting now for another 11% off sale to get the balance of our accessories to complete the remodel. Thanks, Menards!!
