After being given the run around and overcharged and given the run around by another local company, I called Express to help with my warm home. The ladies in the office were very friendly and helpful. They sent their technician Josh over the next morning. He was on time and very professional. He added freon and die to my system to detect the leak and promised to return in 2 weeks. I was very pleased with my experience with the Express team! I will only use them for my a/c and heating needs going forward!

They did the impossible! Our AC went out on a Friday (June 11) in the morning. We call Express at 8:00 am, Josh w/ Express Air came out by 3:00 pm and our system was cooling by 4:00pm. We had a back up plan of going to a hotel because we just knew they couldn’t repair it until Monday. WE DIDN’T NEED IT! If you’re thinking about Express Air, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Keith was amazing! After being HOT in my home for 2 weeks and given the absolute runaround by AHS and given false information by the previous company.. I was greatly appreciative. Needless to say, Keith made sure he didn’t leave until my home was cool !

Jimmy came out I wasn’t home but my Mom was there. Jimmy called me to ask what was going on with system I explain the the outside system fan was running but the unit was not cooling my home. He said the unit was cooling the home and some check he ran showed the system to be fine I explained to him when I left home the unit was not running properly/ wasn’t cooling the home just running. Jimmy said he would look at the system when I arrived home about 3pm my home was cold I went to check it and my thermostat was on 62 degrees I immediately turned it to 72 degrees. Now the inside fan is blowing cool air and the unit outside is not doing anything. A waste of money. And guest what they close. Let’s see if I get a call back

Hi I am an American Home Shield (AHS) client and Express Heating and Air was dispatched to make a repair to my air conditioning system. Tory worked with me on promptly dispatching out technicians and when I needed additional services that AHS had to dispatch to close out the problem like a plumber to unclog my main drain line Tory did not just hand me off but worked diligently to ensure that my service needs were met. What was amazing is thats not my job mentality was not her attitude. It actually was AHSs responsibility to send me to a capable and efficient plumber but they didnt and Tory stayed with me and shepherded both AHS and me through the process and even called them herself on my behalf and made sure they shifted the call from the nonresponsive plumber to one who came out the same day and handled my clogged drain line problem. It is extremely hot right now and being in an environment without air is uncomfortable at best and potentially dangerous with the high temperatures.Thanks Tory for saving the day/week....I will definitely keep working with Express Air but not so sure about American Home Shield...they were a major disappointment in this process.Tory your graciousness and efficiency in this matter was wonderful and endearing....you are my SHERO!!!!

This company has been to my home multiple times in the last 2 to 3 years. My problem is that all of a sudden my a/c unit is not up to code. So with being said their technicians either did a sloppy job or their trying to scam us. Either way their technicians dropped the ball completely!

It took a month to get my work completed, July 14th to August 11th. There was constant miscommunication, no communication, and misdiagnosis between Express Heating and American Home Shield. After two weeks going by I finally let both Express and AHS know that I was not pleased with their lack of professionalism and productivity. Finally, on Wednesday, August 5th a new AC unit was installed, but not working properly. After numerous phone calls and complaints to AHS, the owner of Express Heating and Air (Terry)and another technician came back to my home and finally got the the unit to function properly. It has been 5 weeks and appears to still be working fine.

BEWARE! My experience with this company was similar to that of reviewer Natasha Hall. Express “Cheating” and Air Conditioning and American Home “Sham” appear to be in cahoots. I reported the problem with my unit to AHS on 7/15/2020. It wasn’t until 8/4/2020 that I was informed of a bad compressor that Express would replace at a cost of $5,130.00 to me for “non-covered” items. $5,130.00 to essentially replace a compressor, NOT replace the entire unit! This didn’t include the Service Fee I’d already paid or AHS’s portion. I sought an independent second opinion, including a review of Express’s price for “non-covered” items. In the end, I paid another company $5,600.00 for an entire NEW UNIT. This included a 4 ton condenser, coils, 90,000 BTU heater, etc. with a 10 year warranty. I advise you to do your homework before contracting with Express Heating and Air Conditioning.

Found Express A/C and Hearing through our home warranty. Called at 7:30am and they were here in the next hour, hour and 15 mins. They explained everything that happened to my A/C and told us what they were doing to fix it so we would know for the future to monitor it. Repair was quick. Very professional and kind. Would use again and would definitely recommend!

They were assigned by American Home Shield. Express wanted me to pay them over $3000 to repair (not replace) my old AC. They were only going to replace the coil and one valve. Which was only $500, everything else was code requirements. Hence, AHS only covered $500, minus my $100 deductible. They failed to properly diagnose that the compressor was bad and that alone cost me $2,000. Are they incompetent or unethical? If American Home Shield assigns you this company - call back and request a different vendor.

Josh came right on time! He not only assessed situation immediately but he also found another issue that could have resulted in the house catching fire. He also gave us some helpful hints on routine maintenance. The unit is the original from our house which is 52 years old. There was a huge ant bed inside the outside unit! Josh scooped out the dirt (luckily the ants were gone), rinsed it out and got it running. He did all of that in less than an hour.

Rip off. They were assigned by American Home Shield. Express wanted me to pay them $7200 to repair (not replace) my old AC. I got a quote from a different company to replace my AC and it was $4300. Repair was absolutely pointless because the unit was leaking (coil and compressor busted). If American Home Shield assigns you this company - call back and request a different vendor.

We have to use express heating and air because of our home warranty policy. Our system has broken down twice this year- and we have been at their mercy to get it back up and running during the August heat and again when temperatures reached the low 30s in NOLA. We have infant twins and Courtney is very understanding and sends someone out as fast as she can! Go Courtney!

Josh did a wonderful job! We had recently moved and then the AC went out. He came out figured out the problem and still went above and beyond to make sure we were all set both inside and outside for our both of our units. He cleaned out everything to ensure it would run properly and even gave us a few tips on how to maintain our units to make sure they last! Very helpful and great guy to talk too while he worked. I contacted Express AC & Heating because they were who my homeowners contract was through, but boy am I glad that is the company that was associated with my warranty. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike and he really took time to understand my situation and assess things in detail. I felt as if he gave me a very fair and reasonable estimate while still taking into account quality work. I have work that needs to be done and I will definitely be going with Express AC & Heating. Someone pointed out that I Should put my review for this company over here also. So here it is (the original is in two parts).If they come up on your home warranty, call the home warranty and request a different servicer before they come out. When the service tech was out to diagnose the problem, he was very clear about the cost of refrigerant. The next day when they were ready to give an actual estimate, the cost of the refrigerant was more. Also they attempted to overcharge for the service call. I of course dont know the details of the previous reviewer, but her experience sounds very believable.Edit for follow up. This company obviously uses google alerts because a representative called within minutes of the review being posted and attempted to liken their service to a doctor. ON a positive note they say they are releasing it back to the home warranty as he was only willing to come out if my 79 year mother as here by herself when they came.Also, I just noted that the home warranty company says that we should receive an estimate by the time the tech leaves, that obviously didnt happen.additional follow up written the next day : As an update from yesterdays debacle, it is clear why they wanted my elderly mother to be here by herself. Turns out the coil didnt need replaced, it was a simple repair. While R-410A can break down, if a minimal amount leaks it can be topped off rather than replaced. Avoid this place place; not only do the prices change, they recommend unneeded work.Thankfully, switching to a better service provider lowered a $525 bill to $60 (plus what the home warranty paid).

Express was sent by American Home Shield. They changed my scheduled time without notice and missed two more appointments. They were rude on the phone and gave nothing but excuses from I was at lunch to I dont set the schedule. Eventually, they just said theyre going to call AHS and get another vendor to come out. Rude operator and completely unable to make it to an appointment on time. Cant imagine their actual work would be much better.

I wish I could give zero. I have a home warranty through American Home Shield. I put in a claim in September for my A/C unit the technician came out after spending about 20 minutes in the attic he came down and said all that and it’s the thermostat so he changed it. Unit worked for about 3 months. Call and put in another claim they sent out a different technician. He went in the attic came down after five minutes and said whomever fix your unit last time cut wires and taped wrong wires together. He said he was going to contact AHS because he needed approval to get a new box. A week later I get a call from AHS stating Express Heating said someone had tampered with the wires and this wasn’t covered. First the unit is in an attic that no one goes in. Secondly I pay monthly for a home warranty so the only people that touch anything are the folks they send out. A second company came out today and they said this was done by someone that tried to do short cuts to get one system to work. This is HORRIBLE customer service.

If I could give this company less than one star I would. My ac stopped working on June 8th and because of this company, i wont have ac until sometime next week. Contacted my home warranty company who sent out Express. Let me begin by saying i have never had an issue in the past that the service person could not resolve on the same day. the tech was there for about 45 mins ( i had to leave work) and then tells me he has to write a report so he has to go back to the office. i have never heard of such. i got in touch with the company that evening because i had not heard from anyone. the office person told me the tech diagnosed my problem as being a result of lack of maintenance on my part. I asked how did he determine that and she insisted this was created by my neglect. I asked how much this would cost and she quoted $1402. I scheduled the work and contacted my home warranty company. Again asked what maintenance other than hosing the unit down periodically was is supposed to do. the person in authorization thought it odd that the company would point to lack of maintenance as the reason for the problem. I asked what my recourse was and I was told that i could get a second opinion so i requested such. After some mixup and several days, another vendor came out and immediately saw that from all the oil the condenser needed replacing. the reason was age and normal wear and tear; the home warranty company will be responsible for the repair. So my bill went from $1402 for repair to $500 for a full replacement. the item is on order and hopefully i will be up and running next week. i have not lived in my house because of the excessive heat and had the company properly diagnosed this, we would not be here. Steer as far from this company as possible if you have a home warranty, because i cant understand for the life of me why they would do something like they did.

My home warranty company sent out Express Air. The tech evaluated the system and reported to home warranty company that failure was due to dirty coil and no other failures were found so therefore the home warranty company would not cover the repair since it was a maintenance issue. He then suggested to me to replace the entire air handler because of the age and condition of the system. I got a second opinion from my own a/c company and they reported that there was an obvious oil leak with alot of visible oil, which would be covered under the warranty. After reporting this to the warranty company, they sent another company out on there behalf who confirmed that there was indeed a very obvious oil leak and the issue should be covered under the warranty. I read another review similar to mine regarding this company. Beware.

I had called Express Heating & AC for the first time last Saturday night at 9:30 pm. My AC was running all day and was not cooling. I recieved a call back within 3 minutes and they came out and was here in less than 30 minutes. He got right to work and had the AC up and running very quickly and I was pleased with the cost. I was very impressed. They were very professional, courtesy, clean and overall showed care for my problem. The tech also talked to me about their clean effects air filtration system, which Im considering. This is a Five Star company and would definitely refer them to anyone who needs AC services.

The company is contracted with home warranty company American Home Shield. The operator for Express Heating and Air Conditioning hung up in my face and hung up in the American Home Shield face this morning. They ordered a part for our air system on Sept 9th and claimed to be at our home 9/19/18, when we were in our home the entire time waiting on the doorbell to ring. Actually took off from work. Sad that this company can feel that they can disrespect consumers who work hard to support family and on the contrary have been without quality air since Sept 9th. Watch out if you call THEY ARE RUDE!

This company was sent to our house from our Home Warranty company. This was the second time they had done work on our system. The first time they left the compressor taken apart next to our house for nearly two weeks. Plus ZERO communication on what they were doing, why, and when.Then this LAST time they were to investigate a non cooling AC. They claim the coil needs replaced. I m fine with that, it is an old system and has probably been replaced before.What they then said was that our out of pocket expense is going to be over $1,400, thats on top of the $600+ they would charge the warranty company. To replace a LIKE for LIKE coil in an air conditioner, no other mods or changes. $2,000? Crazy.

I got a text saying i would be contacted in 24hrs. 36hrs later an appointment was set that friday between 8am and 1pm.Guy arrived around 10:30ish and checked filter etc. Tested Freon and said i was a little low something to the affect that about a pound and this system should be at 45 and it was at 39.He said he would charge the system and i said if its low then its leaking right? Its dosent evaporate right? (Looks at me) said hes going get his detector . As he returns he waves it and pokes and prods the outside unit with the Freon leak detector. Nothing so he said he would check inside and as he probed the unit it beeped and i was told there were to small leaks but the spray on solution didnt show a leak. At this point the guy got a leak kit which has a yellow short hose and a big injector to apply into my coils but that turned out to be problematic .The hose didnt work and a oring came out the end and that fluorescent dye dripped and was a mess. So he left an said he would be back.Will write part II tomorrow. The return of Repairman.

Idiot technician came out, took an hour to find a blown capacitor. This has to be one of the more obvious rule-outs for non-functioning unit. Then charged an exorbitant 316.97$ to change this which took less than 10 minutes. Save your money and find a business who wont fleece you by talking to friends and getting a good recommendation. Had another problem with other unit today. Guy came out from recommended company, diagnosed and fixed problem within an hour of calling him. Very reasonable and honest.
