We wanted to have our sewer drain inspected as we were getting drain flies, sewer smell and I could see some sludge sitting in the drain. Don did a great job explaining what happens with sewer drains, why they can smell and did diagnostic work to confirm the drain was not clogged. He as gave recommendations on how to manage the the smell (which was being cause by evaporation as the drain is not used regularly). Don was very personable, professional, and efficient. Great experience with this company! We are new homeowners and new to having our own well and septic system so we had some questions and needed some water issues checked out. First time hiring a plumber but I grew up in the area and had heard they have a good reputation. They lived up to it! They scheduled me for a day of my choosing, showed up in the 2 hour window they gave, gave a call the day before to remind and a call when the tech was a half hour out. They also sent an email the day of with the techs name and picture so we knew who would be showing up at our house. He walked through our house, answered all my questions, tested our water, and found what he thought to be the main issue and talked about a few options for us to improve the taste of our water. We went with the least expensive option for now which he promptly took care of right away in an hour or two and it has already made an improvement. He also prepared a quote for the other options he talked about so we know how much to budget if we decide to do more in the future. Very happy with this company and will stick to using them in the future.

Don was really great! Our 1/2 bath sink was leaking into its cabinet. He gave us a quote and we agreed. Once he looked at it he found out the sink pipe had been improperly installed by someone and was not at all an easy repair. Even so....... he stood by his original quote and went to work for us! Within an hour or so the repair was done and he even cleaned up the mess. He also conducted a free inspection of our water softener unit and left his repair suggestions with a quote valid for 6 months. We will definitely work with Austin Plumbing again and will ask for Don! Honestly, I was nervous to call a plumber cuz you just never know what youre going to get. Plus, its always so expensive. My husband and I ended up being pretty impressed by Austins. The plumber that came out, Don, actually took the time to explain to us the specifics of why we were having the problems we were, how he ruled out other issues and the reasons behind his recommendations. He even took the time to listen to our financial concerns and found a way to save us a few bucks without sacrificing quality. Like I said, we were impressed. It was still expensive but all things considered, very good value. They probably just became our go to plumbers.

I’ve used this company twice. Fantastic experience from the time I spoke with them on the phone until the time they left my house. They were able to replace my water heater in a matter of a few hours to get the hot water flowing again!

My water softener was making a strange noise. Jasen came and figured it out right away. He was prompt, very respectful and professional! We had our first sewer backup in 20 years. Called Austin Plbg about midday and they got Don here by 1pm. He was very professional, courteous, and friendly. My sewer drain had opened itself by the time he arrived but he checked out everything. He suggested putting the TV camera in both access pipes. He found a flat spot in the piping out near the street that could have been the source of the backup. Short of digging up that spot, he suggested putting a hose down the yard cleanout 2-3 times a year and running the water for a while to flush that flat spot of any build-up of sewage. Well try that to see if it works. I was pleased and satisfied with Austin plumbing and would recommend them with 5 stars. Dated 7-13-21.

We had to replace about 75’ of the main drain in the basement of our 50 year old house. It involved jackhammering through the concrete floor. Don and Casey from Austin were great. I am completely flabbergasted at the level of unprofessionalism I just experienced. We have used Austin in the past to service our salon. When I called today for a service request, I was quickly cut off and informed that they only service residential. When I questioned the validity of that seeing as they serviced us in the past, Kim quickly responded Well I can get you on the schedule in the next week, or two When I asked her to clarify if they do in fact only service residential or if they were just too busy. She very quickly snapped back Both and promptly hung up. It is extremely disappointing to see this level of rude customer service especially coming from a business we have had such a great experience with in the past. being a business owner our #1 priority is customer satisfaction, this interaction was beyond disappointing. Plumbers come a dime a dozen, thank you for changing our mind about Austin Plumbing, and the customer they clearly dont value.

It took a while but Scott was able to identify the problem first time he assessed it. He was knowledgeable and applied critical thinking skills. It also helped that instead of opening the whole wall he was able to thread a camera into an already accessed opening and was able to see problem as well. Our kitchen sink stopped draining suddenly over the weekend. I spent about an hour trying to clear the blockage with no success. I called Austin on Monday morning and they answered earlier than the time listed on their web site. The plumber came out earlier than I was originally told they would be there (I had another family member home to let them in). They quickly took care of the clog, as well as another problem with the sink. The plumbers were very courteous and took care to clean up during and after their visit. While I would have enjoyed a smaller bill, getting the problem fixed quicker than I could have done it myself was nice. Very pleased with the job they did.

This was an overall plumbing inspection as part of the Diamond Club we joined a year ago. Dino is awesome! Ive used Austin Plumbing for two projects over the last 3 months. Both times I had the pleasure of working with Scott. The first time was to troubleshoot a water softener and relocate a gas shutoff. The second time was to replace the water softener I was continuously having trouble with. Both times Scott was friendly, worked hard and was efficient. I set up an appointment for a non-emergency replacement of a water valve. The valve was corroded but not leaking. The valve was as easy as it gets to access and replace. The village turned the water off and the job was completed very quickly. What should have been a $200-$250 job with other estimates, costed us almost $500 with Austin. I was shocked when I found out what they charged.This valve needed replacing prior to continuing our remodel. Austin plumbing will have nothing to do with that remodel . I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Im not really sure where to start on this, I am going to try and explain the situation so you can decide for yourself if you want to trust them. I had a plumber come out to work on a sewer lateral that was backing up. He took a scope to it and determined there were tree roots in the line. He then told me he could use an auger to clear the line of some of the roots and told me the cost which included two hours of time. I agreed and he started performing the auging and the cable snapped at 10.5 he then needed to pull the cable back manually. I was then informed that the line was still blocked and he needed to spend more time auging the line to get it cleared up. I made a mistake here and agreed. So I got charged for the 2 hours of auging... Of which I actually got maybe 30 minutes before the cable snapped and he needed to fish the equipment out and then I got an additional 1/4 time charge for him to actually do the job. Im guessing this is also the time he took to put the Austin Plumbing stickers on every plumbing appliance in my basement without telling me. The plumber told me that he couldnt get the camera past 10.5 so it was either mostly blocked with roots or the line had been misaligned. Either way the sewer was draining so I was happy. Fast forward two weeks to when the sewer wasnt draining again. I called to tell them I was dissatisfied with the quality of the service. I got told that root auging isnt warrantied and I would need to pay for another auging of the line. Without many options I agreed and the same plumber came out and augered it again getting the line to drain at least slowly. He also spent a significant amount of time on the phone with his boss and came back and told me the line is probably broken at the 10.5 and they hydrojetting wont fix it, it most likely needs to be replaced which they cant do. I called another plumber who came out the same day and told him the situation. The new plumber told me it doesnt make sense and asked to scope the sewer lateral for free to see what was going on. He was able to magically get the scope out to 25 and told me the previous plumber didnt know what he was doing and that the sewer didnt need to be replaced, it needed to be hydrojetted.I can honestly say I do not believe the plubler that came out was qualified enough to be doing the job, he needed to call his boss often to determine the next steps and I feel I got over charged for services I didnt receive. The paper I was given reads If you are not 100% satisfied with the quality of service we have provided, we will refund all of your money. Which is a lie, theyll come back and charge you another time. If you want a plumber who can do it right the first time, and not need to get advice from another plumber call another plumbing company.

We had a major failure with the drains and under sink piping. Of course it was after-hours but we could manage until normal hours but wanted to get in the line for ASAP service.
