I was attempting to give blood today at the donation center on Neff Ave in Harrisonburg Va.I had a terrible experience. I was told my pulse was 106-110 when I checked it myself and on my fitbit both had the same result between 93-95. He wasnt even feeling in the right spot. He was feeling 4-5 finger widths down from my wrist bone. He had an attitude. He also kept asking me questions such as are you stressed, what is wrong with you today etc. He kept also saying take deep breaths in and out. Then he kept coming in and and bugging me. When supposedly my pulse was supposed to be going down. He told me my pulse should be between 60-80. The AmericanRed Cross website says the range was 50-100.He was very non attentive to what he was doing.I also asked if someone else could check my pulse he said no the will only get the same results as I did.My Dad and I have had issues with him in the past but we havent complained. This was the straw that broke the camels back.He wad also disheveled in appearance 2 of his buttons on his shirt were unbuttoned and his nails were black there was so much dirt under them. I was very dissatisfied with my experience today. I called and complained to The American Red Cross. I hope the appropriate actions are taken.
