I have only been to this facility twice but both times I was greeted by SUCH friendly people, I was looking for a new vet office and I think I’ve found it. Not only was my cat taken care of, (much more so than my previous vet), the prices are beyond reasonable. I can not recommend this office enough. I even went to work the following day telling everyone “whose your vet??? You should go to Anicira”. Very pleased. Thank you guys for all you do. I have had doctor Laura Kivighan both times and am so pleased! Very informative, feels like she actually cares about your pets, and that, unfortunately, is hard to find!

They saved our little boys life. He had bladder stones ready to drop and couldnt urinate. We called every vet around and the emergency vet had seen him a wk prior and dxd him wrong. Anicira told us to bring him in. They were an hr away but totally worth the trip. We ended up leaving him overnight for emergency surgery the next morning. They are the BEST!

The entire staff plus doctors are the nicest most caring people I have ever met at a veterinary clinic or anywhere as a fact. They sincerely care about the animals and you! I highly recommend them their prices are fantastic and they work with you they are such a blessing I needed help and there was there and they saved my cats life!
I have brought two, female pitbulls to be spayed here (a couple of years apart). The staff seemed genuine and caring toward my girls. They gave detailed post op instructions and had plenty of add on options that are reasonably priced. It is so worth investing in a microchip and a good nail trim or ear cleaning while the sweet pup is under anesthesia.
Very friendly staff, answered all my questions, and were great with my babies..The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back for all my fur babies needs. Someone came right out when I came in and took care of us right away. When we picked them up someone explained everything and answered all of my questions and didnt try to rush us threw it.
Everyone was kind and I feel my cat “ReRe” received good quality care for the time he was there. Very understanding I was running late I knew I didnt have to worry leaving him there. My baby is home resting well and recovering quickly!!! Many thanks.

They are the friendliest & caring vet I have been to. My dog is 14 and going blind so she has took to nipping. They were not hateful to her and took as much patience as it took. To me that means everything. Thank you Anicera to the whole team.
Twenty four hour emergency vet care. The staff is very friendly and compassionate. My rescue group uses them frequently for short fuzed issues, and I have brought my personal cats there as well. The care is first class.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had such a positive experience I had to share. My 3 year old yellow lab had a obstruction in his lower intestine, we sat in the emergency vet in VA beach for 5 hours for X-rays and paid $600. I called everywhere to try and get him into surgery the next morning with no luck, because the blue pearl we went to quoted me $10,000 to do the surgery. After calling Anicira, they told me they could fit me in that day. So I drove 4 hours from Chesapeake to Harrisonburg. As soon as I arrived they brought him right back and had X-rays done before I could finish the paperwork. They took him into surgery right away and within 2 hours called me that it was successful. They neutered him, micro chipped him, updated his vaccines, tested for heart-worms, gave me 6 months of heart worm medicine and got the obstruction out for almost 1/10 of the price I was quoted in VA beach. All of their prices were given to me on a sheet for all the extras I had done and gave me a quote for the procedure. They didn’t end up having to cut into his intestine so they actually took money off the final price, which is unheard of. The workers were extremely professional and caring. I will be driving 4 hours from now on for any major pet services to see them, it was the least stressful vet (let alone emergency situation) experience I’ve ever had.P.s. the drive there from Chesapeake is beautiful, their Harrisonburg location is about 30 mins from Shenandoah state park and Charlottesville.

All of the staff I had contact with were very friendly and courteous. They all genuinely seemed as if they cared about my kitten. My kitten was a little sick and they took good care of him and hes now feeling better and is back to himself again. They explained what they thought the issue was and how/when to give him the medicine the vet prescribed. They cared for, treated, and handled my little kitten with great care.
The facility is clean. The Staff are amazing. They took excellent care of our Girl. In addition, it was my first time having our new puppy spayed, and the week prior, I was a emotional mess. I called them a few days prior to our appointment to have some questions answered; not only did they take the time to answer all my questions, they calmed my concerns and I felt safe leaving my Girl with them.Thank You 🐾❤

I was very pleased with the staff at Anicira. I brought my sick dog in and they figured out the problem quickly and started getting her on the mend quickly as well. She is now home improving. So thankful for them and their quick actions! You guys were great with my babygirl! You figured out why she was sick very quickly and started the meds she needed.

7/31/2021:So I wanted to update on my original comment I posted a while back when I first took my dog here (Anicira) after I adopted him.Well unfortunately, with my dogs health suddenly declining this was the last place (Anicira) I took my dog. It was one of the hardest things I had to do but all the staff at Anicira were so friendly, understanding, patient, and words could not express enough how thankful I was to have all the support from the staff at Anicira at that time.I worked very closely with Lauren multiple times, not only with my dog but also with my kitten when I brought her in when she was sick. She was so kind, patient, and I got to take home some things she actually taught me at the clinic (like clipping my kittens nail properly & ways to hold her as well as comfort her during those times).I am so thankful for Lauren, the vet doctor, and all of the wonderful staff at Anicira!June 2020:Very pleased, it was a good experience. All my questions were answered and explained. They took the time to listen to my concerns and they addressed them accordingly. Overall very good experience and wonderful customer service. They took the time to address all my concerns and explained anything I didnt understand.

So my fur baby Lulu was extremely sick and we were so afraid she was going to pass. Dr. Tina and her staff were absolutely amazing!! I couldnt find anyone in Richmond to perform the surgery and quote frankly no one seemed to care except these folks!! Everyone should definitely take their furry family members to this place!! They saved her life and took care of her after care once we were back home!! Absolutely amazing!
I was very anxious about my dogs surgery and they made me feel at ease. They explained her recovery and called the next day for a check-up to make sure she was doing well. Very personable! Everything!
I cannot express enough gratitude to the entire team - it starts on the phone with the office staff (who are also wonderful in person) and follows through to all of the clinicians. My well behaved, sweet dog is not so sweet at the vet, he is very anxious and fearful at the clinic - but now, we have found the perfect veterinary clinic to stick with. We try to do one appointment a year and group together his shots/blood work and dentistry appointment all at once, while he is sedated. The team at Anicira came up with a great protocol to reduce the fear and anxiety to get my dog the services he needs. They handle him so well and treat him like family, even though hes hard to handle there. Thank you for taking good care of my dog and helping to keep him healthy. I wish I knew the names of the folks who worked with us directly - but Im sure when you see this review you will know who you are - heres an extra thank you.
My cat Garfield was in rough shape and I was an emotional cat mom. Called and made him an appointment and from the beginning just were so supportive for me and took very good care of my baby. Great service. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Curbside service is a new thing for veterinary medicine and their medical staff was very quick and proficient! They have always made my pets feel as comfortable as possible when they go to the vet.

Please--if you value your pet, go elsewhere. I had major reservations about a low-cost vet, high volume clinic---we recently moved from a major metropolitan area and this place was recommended. We typically opt for a much more high value care. My husband and I do not have children and we have the financial means to provide the very best care for our pets. I have had amazing experiences with incredible vets in the past. THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES. Our cat was vomiting but still eating and acting quite well. I took her in for her well visit and mentioned the vomiting. She was then taken for an x-ray. The incredibly young (and apparently inexperienced) vet came back to tell me that there may be an obstruction. There was no mass noted on palpation. This differential diagnosis was based on a gas pattern seen via x-ray. An ultrasound was not conducted. I was then pressured to leave her overnight. Against my better judgment, I opted to leave her so that she could receive IVF in the hopes that this would clear her gas pattern. From this point on, we were repeatedly told that something terrible would happen if we did not agree to a $1300 surgery. I asked multiple times what our options were and I was scared into agreeing to the surgery. We had reservations about the potential risk of the surgery, particularly because our cat appeared quite well. When I asked if this was really necessary, I was told that there is an area that is really concerning. I was repeatedly told that we were going into the weekend, I would hate to have anything happen to her, I have the surgeon standing right next to me, ready to jump in, right now. This professional then had the audacity!! to tell me I know your husband wasnt really on board...but.... When I told this young girl that I needed to talk with my husband to make a mutual decision, she acted as if this was not appropriate. Eventually we agreed to the surgery, despite major reservations. This decision was based entirely on the professionals opinion. I then get a call that they have finished and everything is fine. Apparently she has some inflammation in her gut. Tell me how a vet can be that ignorant? You cant differentiate between an obstruction!!!! and an upset stomach??? You cant read an x-ray??? Jesus! This would be considered MALPRACTICE in the human world. You are in the wrong profession!!! Now--we have a cat that will have to heal from a very invasive surgery due to an upset stomach! But---they got their money!!!$$$$ And to top it off--no antibiotics to go home to stave off infection, no cone to prevent her from licking the incredibly huge incision site, and they lost her collar and tags! AND she still hasnt received her annual shots. $1300 for a completely inappropriate and UNNECESSARY procedure. We will never return to this horrendous place. We will be following up to correct the mistakes of this place with another vet.

I had called them yesterday to get and appointment ASAP because diesel was very sick. They seen him this morning and I loved the service they provided for him. I thought it was going to be a lot more then what I thought it would be. The lady that can and got diesel out of my truck was very caring. I will be coming back for future exams and whatever Diesel will need done! Thank y’all so much for the care that was given today!
Very pleased with the promptness, attentiveness and genuine care shown when I had to take my kitty in for a horrible abscess. They called me back after a cancellation to squeeze her into an earlier appt, and they were able to easily grab her records from the SPCA where I had adopted her from. They fully explained her treatment plan, and provided written instructions as a reminder to ensure proper follow up care. Very pleased thus far.

I was able to send them records via email last minute and they were thorough with all aspects of tooth extraction/s. I would highly recommend the travel to Anicira. They evaluated Dovy, took cultures, medicated him (alleviated his S&S), gave us a preliminary plan of care & working diagnosis at a very very reasonable cost.
I feel like communication should be better, I went to drop off my cats as required at 7am and didnt get anyone to grab them until 8, while others were being seen before me that showed up later who were in line although I was told to stay in my spot, I understand it was prob a busy day but it was frustrating. Overall though my cats seem to be okay and surgery seemed to have gone well so Im happy with that. Overall the health of my pets and their recovery is what is important and I feel they did well there 😊

Went thru the program SpayToday, who sent me to Anicira to have my pets spayed. Process was fairly quick & they did a GREAT job. They even fixed a hyrnea in my pup that I didnt know about & charged a reasonable fee.

This is the most caring and loving veterinarian service I have ever seen. My 6 year old Chihuahua started having seizures. Anicira save my baby. She was so sick with her seizures that the veterinarian and assistance all took turns holding my little Bella while they were on break to help keep her calm. Very knowledgeable and friendly people work there. The prices for service is the lowest in the valley. Im one that likes to get the lowest price. I researched and besides having to pay the upfront neuterization fee which is lower than anybody else in the valley charges. Its worth it in the long run. Shots and vacscinations are lower too. She relayed the info from the vet well plus answered my additional pricing/follow up questions with her great clinical knowledge.
