I must say they are very proffesional, they are on top of their jobs, you will get taken care of. I am very very pleased with them.

The Worst kind Of Help, Its Tough Reaching Out For Help In Hard Times . Its worst being made to feel like you the sole purpose of hardships. Long story Short, Looking For The least amount of help, to combat losing my job of 3 yrs To homelessness ( unforseen hardship) . Basically hung up on twice and then told the same info I obtain online . In the end to be told check in daily we might have a slot to help, but helping to many ppl at the moment . Rude and UNengaged .Remind me never to need humanity in Harrisburg and especially not with time sensitive life matter. Expected more smh.

Called them a women answered said there a soup kitchen they never helped me

Im very disappointed in this place! I have a pet and cant go to a shelter! Asked for help with my hotel room and they now say they only deal with a few hotels that only take service animals! So they say they cant help me bc my pet not registered as a service dog! They did deal with where Im staying but they said they narrowed it down! Pay only for a few days and then ask what you going to do after that! My unemployment is under review and Im in process of getting a job but its not going to be in a few days! Very disappointed!😞

They didnt help with anything mentioned here infact they needed all this private information that only the irs should have just to do soo little its a shame cuz I was really hoping this could be a great blessing but instead they stick u for one night in a motel when you have no way to the motel or a way back. Their not very organized apparently because why would you think a homeless person would have transportation or money to drive all over gods creation for just one nught. I wish the funds wasted on that room could have went towards my goal of renting a month to month room at a affordable motel in duncannon

So happy places like this exist during such a difficult time financially for lots of people. If you find yourself in need of help with Rent, utilities, etc, they can assist.

It gives people help when needed. Like for time renters. They will pay your security deposit. For people in need. They also have other things to help people. Great I give it 5plus. Great job!!

They offer help for people in need. Some of their services includes, rent assistance ( helping with security deposits), vouchers for gas, shelters the list goes on. Not everyone will qualify you have to fill out an application. If you need the help why not try.

I applied for rent assistance, my family had been homeless and we finally found a house we could get into. They made me jump through hoops and I sent in a complete application. They told me I didnt qualify because of my family size. my income was below qualifications. (I just needed help with first month. I didnt need ongoing help or anything,) Sherri advised me to LEAVE the home we just acquired and live in my car ( with 5 kids in this heat). Come into the help desk every day until they had room in a shelter for me. (Which the lady at YWCA said was next to never for a family of 6) How does that help us?? Even if they did get room somewhat quickly how would that help my family become self sufficient or out of homelessness?? I felt so horrible and shameful trying to work with them.

A good place to get help, when u need it. There also take cash donations. 😀😀

These people only help enough to keep making their donations rolling in. Other than that they dont help at all. Oh and they take your social security number BEFORE they even talk to you so if that isnt sketchy I dont know what isEdit- Theyre telling me that they cant help me because I need to get an income. THERE IS A VIRUS I DONT HAVE ANY WORK WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE GET DONATIONS FOR THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS

Very Resourceful place and bright staff..

They have your wait like 2 weeks, all the while you need security deposit. So you are able to move your things into the place and Help turns you down because you only get the assistance if you havent moved in. Really stupid. They have no access if you are disabled! The stairs are steep. This is not good.

Very understanding and helpful. They help however they can. However you do have some guidelines to follow for help.

They do jot care about you if youre not from the area. Very cold ladies that work there, could care less about you being a female and having no where to sleep for the night. Place should be shut down honestly. God will judge them for how they treat people. PLEASE DO NOT DONATE OR REFER ANY WOMAN HERE Thats FROM OUT OF TOWN.

Went there for help, was getting my heat turned off. They sent me to another place that will take up to 6 weeks to help if they do help me.

Very nice people, got me a voucher for 30 days worth of medication

Left me and my daughters in a bad situation one of which is one month..Dealing with them and a scamming realtor who is trying to keep my half of the security deposit I put down for a apt which help ministries was suppose to pay the other portion but didnt not after I went thru loops and months of waiting. Lied to me constantly even after i was to the point in given up i told the lady jist supply me with a shelter ill figure it out...she was like no no we are going to help then voided my voucher. Horrible experience ever I would never go back there for help. They only have a star because I couldnt leave it blank.

As long as i was a u.s citizen this public organization kepted me and my family from struggling and being homeless
