Was looking for a home office chair and Taylor was the best salesman. He helped me decide, was very attentive to my needs, was very polite, Went to the register and made sure it rang up the discounted price for me. Overall great attitude. He also loaded the box in my car. Great personality. Ask for this salesman.

I ordered a chair online to be assembled and picked up at my local store. Later that day I get a text message and an email stating my order was ready for pickup. I arrive at the store 35 minutes later and ready to curbside pickup my purchase and I am then told that it will be another hour till it’s ready!So I’m just supposed to sit in my van in the parking lot for an hour and wait? This is terrible customer service and an extremely flawed system. We are now one year into covid life and this system of curbside pickups and emails and text messages should all be worked out by now.Get it together, or else you will also become like so many other businesses with no customers.. closed!
These are difficult times for us all and the slightest glimmer of courtesy and compassion helps to brighten these rather dark times. So many of us are trying to function as well as one can; especially with everything going on. We find ourselves more reliant on businesses like Office Depot and yet with tensions sometimes running high, we fail to show appreciation and patience to the employees. When I went into copy center there were 11 people in line and sadly, at that moment, only one person available to help them. Luckily for Office Depot, that person was Jordan. She is young, fairly new but could easily run a seminar on patience, empathy and compassion. The line lengthened and yet each person assisted, in that moment, felt as though they were the only one there...at least thats what I observed from others and experienced for myself. In my particular situation, I had spent hundreds of dollars at other office depots just a day prior, but neither of the places claimed to be willing or able to assist. So, even though the Elmwood location didnt make the larger sale, it didnt matter in that moment. Jordan was willing to help me cure my buyers remorse and made time, somehow, to print and cut the project I needed. I mean it quite literally when I say that she worked tirelessly to see the project to completion. I felt a great deal of gratitude and knowing there was a good chance she would not even have time to eat, brought her food. It is far too common for us to complain rather than compliment and while I know this review may get buried under future reviews...I can only hope that the one person who needs to see it...reads it. And to anyone reading this who may currently feel compelled to leave a negative response... take a moment... breathe and ask yourself if that digital footprint of negativity would really create the impact you want. Jordan...Dee (the manager)... you are incredible people and not just Office Depot, but we...all of us... are so lucky that you even exist.
I had to wait 30 minutes just to pick up something that I ordered ahead of time to be printed. There were 4 people behind the counter but only 1 was serving customers.
AMERICA has slowly crushed small business owners but Eric in the printing department was efficient, helpful, swift as possible and made me feel like it was mom and pop experience. Strong customer service at the Harahan Copy Max, great prices good peeps. Reminder: You are your own best advocate. Communicate your specific needs, assume nothing. Your stuff will end up good.
We went for a new yearly desk calendar. We found exactly what we wanted. We wanted something larger than a wall calendar but smaller than the large desk calendar. We found the exact size we wanted and two different ones to choose from. The store was well labeled, easy to shop, clean, comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. This seems to be the best office supply store to find what we want. We even find school supplies when the list comes out and we cant seem to find the things anywhere else and usually on a good sale, as was the calendar we bought today. Im always happy with the inventory in stock.
I went in to print my resume before an interview. The process was simple and convenient. On my way out I noticed they sell office chairs and asked one of the sales employees about its price. He was very helpful and told me about other services they offer at OfficeMax. I’ll be returning for a computer diagnostic!
I stopped in to pick up a few things and initially couldnt find my way around. I asked an employee, his name was Chris I think, and he was incredibly helpful. He showed me where everything was and answered all of the questions I had. I shouldve done more research before I went to buy but he helped me find exactly what I needed. Cant recommend this location enough! Great employees and great service. Chris was super helpful and I will be going back to see him whenever I need help. Thanks Chris!
Very few floor staff to assist finding items
I went to OfficeMax to look for paper on which to print some shower invitations. The staff here was extremely helpful. They opened a bunch of packages so I could feel the paper and even sold me a bunch from their copy area when I couldnt find any packages I liked. I highly recommend this location
I went here to get one basic black and white image printed out actual size and the two employees there could not figure out for the life of them how to do it despite my repeated polite attempts to walk them through it, they seemingly had very limited knowledge of the programs and were working on computers that were 1980s tier slow. They were not nice about it and failed to print it correctly after multiple attempts and after I waited patiently for 35 minutes, at which point I left. Im an understanding person but this was absolutely ridiculous and is not the first time I have had similar problems at this location, but it will be the last.
The store has definitely give downhill. Very hard to get help. It almost seems as if they are severely understaffed. They still stay well stocked but as far as service goes you can definitely do better.

Very well managed. The employees are very helpful and know well about their store items, especially Erica, she is amazing. I recommend her to be a manager in the future.
Store building is older, but they keep it up well. Place is always well stocked and has some obscure office material Im not able to find at competitors. Staff has always been very helpful and proactive while I was there.
Just bought an office chair and had a very unpleasant experience. There was an employee who was snapping at other employees and when I paid for my chair he refused to help me load it in my car. He handed me the hand truck with the chair on it and said bring the hand truck back when youre finished. On the side of the box there is a big label saying team lift. I tried to go back in to get his name, but he had already walked into the back of the store. Tall man, had short black hair, and glasses. Very bad attitude.

I tried to use the value of my recycled printer cartridges only to be told that it takes 3-4 weeks! The on-line number says you can use them the next calendar month if you make a $10 purchase in the month you bring them in. At another store I was told that I could use them in the next calendar month, no qualifications. Also, I wanted to use a 30% discount from my newly downloaded app only to find out that my purchase does not qualify. I am done with their obscure, deceptive and hard to use rewards program and discounts.
I really like it at this Office Max is never packed and they always have very helpful and knowledgeable employees I purchased a PC laptop replacement so that I could attend school and I got one heck of a deal and they consistently every month have deals like that on all types of computers or printers
The employees can be space cadets, but overall, ive had pretty good experiences here. Sales can sometimes be the best in the city..

Just left the store after spending 15 minutes waiting for assistance to buy a cable. Asked the lady at the counter for help, she said let me get my manager i dont know about that stuff. That was fine. The manager was with another customer for 15 minutes without acknowledging me once. I just sat there. Waste of time

All too often this store seems to have sales, but the item I choose from the sales rack is not on sale. And, every time this happens the person at the register says well, people move things. No one likes to find an item that fits all their needs, and more, to then be told nope. If you know this is a problem with a specific section, check it frequently. That is part if your job.And I dont appreciate when one employee says yes, that is 50% on top of the clearance price, then at the register I am told the opposite. Not good customer service.

The worst experience ever. I waited for 40 dam mins to get help from a manager to get some business cards done, and no manager came. The staff there also was no help. Poor poor service. Dont go there for your print orders.
The clerk checked me out with an iPod and card reader on May 25, and then my credit card information was stolen. I was charged with the products I bought, but then immediately started getting fraudulent charges. Im stupid for not checking out at a register, but there were no clerks using the registers.

Sales associate helped me get my pick up order. Had just left the Office Depot on Veterans Blvd where the manager was not willing to assist.
I found what I needed, but they send out reward certificates, and coupons it was difficult to use these and the person at the register didnt know how to redeem one of them so after holding up the line I just said forget it.
I found what I was looking for my next project. But it takes a long time for payment. I was the 3rd in the row.
