It is a safe, comfortable environment where our son has been able to interact with peers, exercise, learn a skill all while increasing his self confidence and learning self control. The Senseis are friendly and encouraging and they have included our daughter in many of the additional activities that they provide!

The Senseis are great with the kids. They take an interest in the grades at school along with behavoir at school and home. They teach in a way that makes it fun for younger kids. They have great programs for most ages.

My son(6) joined karate here in October 2020. From the start I felt comfortable with the 2 nice gentlemen that are there. They werent pushy about me signing my son up after his 30 day free trial. We love that they always have extra opportunities for our son to do extra events. Our son really likes the buddy challenge that they have been doing monthly for different prizes. My grandson started here about 6 months ago in the Little Dragons class and has really learned a lot. He asks all the time when he has karate. The monthly lessons have helped my grandson control his focus, patience, physical balance and I am sure many more areas. I love how involved in our community Championship Martial Arts is and how many fun, outside of class opportunities they provide for our families. Sensei Peterson and Sensei Slicker have been rock solid. I am so glad we chose this program.

The academy is always hosting community activities for children; not just those enrolled in the school. They also communicate well with parents about goals and progress, for their children.

We have been learning and growing here for about 2 years. The children love going. They offered awesome Zoom classes and great opportunities for parents to step away while the kids got to play virtually with others in their class.It is a great place for your child to grow!!!

I am 9 and have been going here for over a year now.I never thought I would like Martial Arts so much. My instructors are funny, awesome and they make it a good time in class. This place is AMAZING! The teachers are great, they keep things interesting for both children and adults. I started classes three months after my son back in 2014, and now after countless classes and numerous belt tests, we are both second degree black belts and looking forward to the future.

I put my son in karate 3 years ago to get him ready to enter into kindergarten since he did not attend a preschool. I wanted him to learn structure, patience, kindness and become social with new kids. Little did I know that I would also join along side him. Sensei Slicker is an amazing instructor and knows how to push you into being the best you can be!! Also I never would have thought about joining if it wasn’t for Sensei Peterson! I told him that when I was little i wanted to try Karate, but never had the chance to and he helped me to believe in myself! Our children have been members for 3 years now. The Sensei’s really care about each child there and show it in many small (and big) ways.They always have a big smile on their faces when they see you and are very generous with their praise.

Both of my boys have been in it over 5 years. My youngest got his black belt and my oldest is one belt away from black belt. They have taught my boys so much. My one son has autism. He really has learned so much and he has changed so much by going their. They work with the family so much.

My future husband and I have been attending Championship Martial Arts Karate School since October 2019. We have learned helpful knowledge and understanding of the importance of martial arts. We learned that discipline in all aspects of our lives is important for our health and well-being. Sensei Slicker has taught us so much in the 10 months that we have been students. He also taught us that just because we know martial arts doesn’t mean we should use it unless it is truly necessary for our safety as well as the safety of others. CMA is AMAZING! I have two boys who attend ages 3 and 5. They absolutely love going to karate! They have a blast and tell everyone all about their class. The Sensis always have a smile and super welcoming! They are really easy to work with and always willing to help out the karate family where they can. My kids have been going here for years. Instructors are nice and teach the kids well. Things are a little screwed up now due to the pandemic, but they are trying to make the best of the situation.

I signed my kids up so they had an outlet, well not only do they have an outlet for their never ending energy but theyve made friends. They work with us and even have done one on one classes to get my kids motivated again. Covid put a damper on things but they really helped give us all something to look forward to. The senseis are amazing, helpful, motivating and friendly! My kids look forward to going to class and showing me what they have learned! Im really glad I signed them up! It is clean, organized, they keep you updated, and they are great with the kids!

A year and a half ago I signed my nephew up for classes and he wanted me to take them too. Best decisions we’ve ever made! I like CMA because it is fun, I made a lot of good friends, it is easy to learn karate there, and there are a lot of cool activities.

My son has been attending CMA for almost 2 years now. He started out in the Little Dragons program and is now in the Black Belt Club as an orange belt. The Little Dragons was a perfect start for him as he would be taught valuable life lessons in a fun way for kids ages 3-5. Sensei Slicker and Sensei Peterson deliver the message with fun ways to engage the kids in activities in a way they will learn and retain the lessons. Now, in Black Belt Club my son took the lessons from Little Dragons with him and is able to apply it and dig deeper with them. He is also learning fantastic self defense techniques and the history that is behind the weapons and techniques. I recommend CMA Hanover to many with kids interested in karate!

As I type this review, I am currently sitting in my parked car at this school. I just finished class a few minutes ago and left the dojo to find one of my senseis giving one of his students a very serious talk about bullying. Ive been going to this school for 8 years. This is one of many conversations I witnessed from the sidelines throughout the years. This school truly cares about their students, their lives, and carrying CMA values outside the school as well as in the classroom. My teachers are family to me and to every other student in their care. A family that kicks together, sticks together. If you are not family oriented, this is not the school for you. The CMA family cares deeply about each of their students and seeing them succeed. I would never consider going to any other karate school, and hope you dont either.

Championship Martial Arts is the best decision Ive made for my 10 yr old daughter. She has learned so much in the year and a half shes been going. Her self confidence went through the roof. A total 180 from when she started. She loves her Senseis. They understand life and work with you anyway they possibly can. Even through everything thats been going on with the pandemic the Senseis worked so hard to keep up the enthusiasm with zoom classes, which were great! My children love going to Championship Martial arts in Hanover, PA! They have learned so much so far including the student creed which states We will use common sense BEFORE self defense and never be abusive or offensive. This has NOT stopped normal sibling rivalry, however they have their family members convinced that they each know the secrets of the Wushi finger hold from Kung-fu Panda! They are great fun at parties, being mysterious and set apart from the crowd as controlled, mature kids for their ages. And a secret is that they wear out their energy quickly and sleep well! CMA Hanover is a really great place. I put my son in classes first and he absolutely loved it! He has settled down and is now more focused. While sitting there watching him take his classes, I realized I could probably do that. So I joined too. This has helped me so much! It helps me center myself, teaches me great self defense, and motivates me more than anything else has. There are many different classes including weapons training. The instructors are superb. They are super patient (with all of us!) and take everything step by step. They work with the students over and over until everyone has the moves down. Its a great team atmosphere and very family oriented. Thank you Championship Martial Arts!

I have had both my sons enrolled since February. The changes I have seen are wonderful! I see my children learning new skills every time we go to class. Sensei Slicker is a wonderful teacher and works well with everyone, he also recognizes when someone learns differently than others and helps everyone to achieve their goals! The family atmosphere is fantastic everyone helps each other out from moral support to helping learn. The fun extra activities are SUPER fun for everyone cant wait to roller skate next month.

Love this place! My sons have been there for a year. My oldest has increased self esteem. They both have made great friends and the Senseis are extremely nice and suppotive.

I used to attend this dojo (stopped because I moved) and I have to say, that this is a wonderful place. I earned my black belt in June of 2016 (one of the first adults to do so in this particular dojo) and it improved my self confidence, my balance, and my stamina. They also work with people of all abilities and skill levels, they took me in as a student almost 5 years ago knowing I had physical limitations, and they worked with and encouraged me despite that.It may be small, and there may only (now) be two senseis teaching here, but thats what makes it so special.

Not a very good place to take your child if she is a little older and just starting out. I guess its a good place if you start your child off when they are 3, but not when they are 6. My daughter really wanted to learn Karate, but soon became frustrated because she did not know anything and everyone else did. The instructor, which there was only 1, didnt really help those that were struggling, nor did he give any one on one instruction. Then my daughter earned a stripe on her white belt (first belt) when she didnt even know anything in Karate. She then became scared anytime he mentioned the word test because she was overwhelmed with not knowing anything.I have to say that this is really not the way to run a Karate studio. Im surprised any of the children know what to do.

I love watching my wife and kids do this and it will be even better when I can participate with them.
