Meant to write this review sooner, however, it completely slipped my mind. Patrick was very responsive and compassionate. I felt that the service he provided was not only timely but very convenient. Its never easy losing a pet, especially one of 17 years, but Patrick and Companions At Peace took care of all the unpleasant tasks one doesnt want to deal with after such a loss. The lovely urn they provided sits on our mantle and the paw print casting they made was hung on our Christmas Tree this year. Ive highly recommended Companions at Peace twice since using their service and will use them again when the time comes.
My experience with Patrick and Companions at Peace was exceptional. Last week, my buddy passed away very suddenly and it shattered my world. Patrick handled my call with professionalism and compassion, and was able to come and pick him up a few hours later. He sat with me and answered my questions with kindness, and allowed me the time I needed to get through those difficult moments. His follow up with the details of the urn and engraving were also very reassuring to me.I received the remains and the urn today, when Patrick brought them back. The urn is beautiful, the engraving is perfect, and the pawprint brings me to tears. I would recommend Patrick and Companions at Peace to anyone who needs their services. I will always be grateful for his professionalism and compassion in the midst of my grief.-Sean Concannon, Lewisberry, PA, January 2018
They do not seem very personable. Theres no sign on their building. They do not provide individual private pet cremations. Be sure to ask if your pet is cremated alone or with others. And I dont mean mixed but they will be place in the cremation burner with other animals but they try not to mix the ashes but the process alone does that. They dont want you at their location either. So be careful. The better solution is Loyal Companions in Hanover. THEY WERE SO GREAT!
Everything about the experience with Companions at Peace was wonderful. Though of course it was sad to have to deal with the death of our long term family pet of 15 years, Companions at Peace handled things promptly and compassionately. Patrick was extremely kind yet professional and we were very pleased with the paw print and beautiful wooden container that the ashes were returned to us in.
My beloved companion passed away very early on a Sunday morning. I couldnt bear the thought of him outside in the cold until Monday. I called Companions at Peace, and Patrick was able help me in only a few hours. He personally delivered my precious friends remains this morning. The box is beautiful, and the paw print is wonderful.Thank you, Companions at Peace. I hope I wont need your services again for a long time, but I will recommend you to everyone in need.
I am forever grateful for Patrick. I lost my precious kitty and wanted to get him cremated so he’ll be with us forever. Patrick answered my call on a Sunday afternoon, and he came to pick Simba up on Monday. He was very compassionate and caring. He brought Simba home to me to a beautiful urn and a clay paw print with his name engraved in it. I recommend him to anyone who has lost their fur baby and looking for a cremation service. Thank you Patrick for everything you did for us.
Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars otherwise I would give them 100.I called when our Bella passed . I spoke to Patrick who was very understanding as well as professional considering the circumstances. We were told that Bella would be brought home on Monday but possibly as soon as Friday . Patrick called a little while ago and said he will be bringing Bella home soon.On their webpage there is a candlelight tribute section as well as a chat room for our use to help greive the loss of our fur baby.I will recommend companions at peace to anyone who is in need of a compassionate place to have their fur baby cremated.Thank You Patrick for the compassion and understanding in our time of sorrow.
We didnt know what to do or where to go when our Chip passed this past Tuesday. We called Companions at Peace and Patrick too care of everything. He came to our home and picked up our beloved and brought back to me (having to track me down on my mail route) a few days later. I cant thank him enough for the caring and compassion showed to my husband and I.
We lost our 15 year old fur baby, Kujo, the morning of Wednesday, 3/4/20. Even though he was 15, we were not prepared to find him deceased in our living room on a work day morning. Suffice it to say, we were totally in shock and totally devastated. We have never been through this before, and we had no idea what to do next. I started googling to find out what our next steps should be and Companions at Peace popped up along with another pet cemetery in the area.We chose Companions at Peace because after reading their reviews, we discovered they will come to our home and pick up our baby, as well as delivering us the urn and pawprint cast.We are beyond grateful at the amazing service Patrick provided. That morning, I sent an email (from the email address given on their website) to hopefully schedule a pickup. I got a response VERY promptly (within 30 minutes) and I was able to set up an appointment for later that same evening (3/4/20) between 6-6:30pm. He called us 15 minutes ahead to give us an ETA and he was on time.Patrick brought our precious Kujo’s urn and pawprint cast to our home earlier today (Sunday, 3/8/20) and we could not be happier with the work they’ve done. The service they provide is beyond amazing. We are going through an extremely difficult time and Patrick helped to take the extra weight off of our shoulders so we could begin our grieving without the added stress. He was patient with us, so respectful to our precious Kujo, and was extremely easy to get in contact with. I never once doubted that we would be taken care of in the best way possible.I HIGHLY recommend Companions at Peace.
Patrick was compassionate, understanding and respectful of our wishes throughoutOur grieving process, never rushing us. Caring for our baby like it was his. Picking up and delivering was a definite plus. Forever grateful! Gomezs mom
Patrick is a special human being. We cannot say enough kind things about this man. When he showed up at our door to help with the passing of our baby boy we knew he was filled with love, compassion and understanding. Thank you a million times over.
Recently we were faced with the difficult decision to put Mylee or loving Boxer, of 8 years to rest. The thought of a simple burial in our back yard wasnt exactly what we had in mind. We turned to the the caring folks at Companions at Peace. Upon first contact with Patrick, the owner, he took the initiative to carefully explain the process. His professional manor of handling everything for us, from the pick up of Mylee, communicating throughout the process and respectfully hand delivering Mylee back to us in an beautiful hand carved box along with a clay paw print. We thank you Patrick.
My best feline friend, Padme, passed away in her sleep on February 15. She was my fuzzy peapod of a cat for 17 years. I didnt know who to call. Fortunately, I found Patrick/Companions At Peace. Patrick was great; he could not have been more belpful. He drove all the to Lebanon that same day to pick up Padme. He treated her like she was his own pet. And then he brought me her ashes in a beatiful container - again, a long drive to hand deliver her home. This truly compassionate service made a sad, stressful situation so much more bearable. If anyone is in need of pet cremation services, I just cannot recommend Companions At Peace highly enough, they are wonderful.
