I hired Maid Clean to clean a rental unit that I own. The new tenants were moving in the next day, so there was not a lot of room for error. Though the company knew it was a deep clean, they only sent one person who did not do a professional job. There were mounds of dust under the beds, the walls and corners had cobwebs, the bathroom fixtures were dusty, and the kitchen was not cleaned at all. The countertops were dirty, the stainless steel had rust-colored spots, the sink was a mess, none of the cabinets were cleaned, and even though I paid extra to have the oven cleaned, that needed more attention, as well. There was even dried milk on the floor in one of the bedrooms. Later that night, overwhelmed with the amount of dirt left behind, I had to ask a friend to help me so it would be ready the next day. When I called to complain, I was told that it was their policy to come back to fix any issues. This was not an option, since the tenants had already moved in. The owner eventually called me back and offered a $25. refund. It took two people four hours to clean the house after it was professionally cleaned! The amount of the refund was an insult. Do yourself a favor...call someone else if youre not interested in having to clean it yourself after they leave.
