This is a True Old School Hardware Store the way it should be. Generations of great knowledgeable people that can answer and solve any problems you may have, Unlike the big box stores. Well worth the trip.

I enjoy shopping here I appreciate the few places that still have customer service and they definitely do here.

Blackwell True Value Hardware Store & Building Supply on Yeamans Hall Road in Hanahan is a reliable hardware store that has everything you need for that project. The staff here is very knowledgeable and able to answer questions and direct you to what you need. They have good prices compared to other stores in the area.

Great experience!! I went in to have a copy of my house key (which I picked a beautiful signature one 😃 and the key worked!!) an I asked the man if he knew where the compressor hoses where. Just a last minute thought of my hubby needing something an he works all the time so it was a just because impulse purchase an $50ish an Im walking out with EVERYTHING my husband could possibly EVER need for his New Compressor I got him for Christmas. Now had the man at LOWES did NOT offer or show me the accessories or extras you . purchase. So when I returned to our new home I made my husbands DAY!!! The store is freshly remodeled on the front. Friendly staff an environment!! As for me and my family, we will ALWAYS be regular customers at Blackwells True Value where they always say Hi, welcome to Blackwells how are you doing today? when you walk in the door

Was helped by Chad, working on an odd project. He was he able to help find a very rare part and also gave great advice on the project as a whole. Combined with the great prices definitely going to return.

Great local hardware and sundry store. They are able to help with expert advice on home projects. They are a wonderful resource. Not a big box store, so smaller selection, but they have what you need to get any job done, indoor or out.

Visited twice both times I was watched and followed around i also felt sooo disrespected when I asked questions I was spoken to like a field slave never will visit again and everything is also about 3 dollars more then lowes and home depot

I’m in this place twice a week probably, and they’re always so nice and quick to help with anything. I walked in there today and had no idea there was a cut on my forehead with some dried blood around it. Not only did 3 of the people working let me know about it and asked if I was okay, when I went to check out, she had a tissue waiting for me and the other guy tried to give me a Band-Aid.They even seem genuinely interested in my camper project and make it a point to ask about it whenever I go in.Small things like that are what make local businesses special, and why we need them in our communities. So the next time you make a trip to Lowe’s or Home Depot, think about stopping at Blackwell True Value Hardware Store instead, or whatever locally owned hardware store is in your area.

This hardware store provided a much needed service for my wifes business. Namely, cutting acrylic poles into specified increment lengths. The acrylic pole cutter, William, was very professional and accommodating. The customer service was outstanding.

This is an awesome place. Staff is top notch. Theres a lot available in this place, including lumber. Do yourself a favor the next time you have a project you want to work on and stop in here first. Sure, it may cost you a bit more than going to the MegaStore, but you dont have the hassle of 1) finding an employee, 2) finding an employee who is actually in the correct department and 3) the guys and gals here actually KNOW their inventory!!!!And if they dont have it, they can tell you what locations would likely sell it.
