It’s a little difficult to find with a gps, when you come to the address given there are “no trespassing” signs. You must drive through the alley in the back to view the display. I recommend going before dusk even, the neighborhood did seem a little rough. If you’re close to the area this could be a nice quick stop to see some art and some unique history of the town. I would estimate that 15 minutes is enough time to be there and snap a few pictures.
Hidden yard art installation, a menagerie of oddities that accentuates your Hamtramck experience
Interesting collection of assembled art in a backyard gallery. Signs say no trespassing ... but no one said anything to us for being in the yard. I think you are supposed to view it from the back alleyThe google marker is a little confusing. If you go around the block and access it through the alley behind the house it’s easier
This was the scariest place I’ve ever been don’t take your kids it felt like I was going to be kidnapped. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!! FELT AS IF I WAS BEING WATCHED😐
A charming and strange sight, Hamtramcks bootleg Disneyland never fails to delight.
Awesome project and the workers restoring it were incredibly nice and informative
If youre traveling to or through the area this is a must stop. Very unique the way this person has the backyard setup.
A staple in the neighborhood. Ice to see that it is being refurbished.
There is a nice but dirty lake for a swim in a wetsuit. The rides are excellent, but the wait is a long time. Clean bathrooms and good food. Highly recommended!
Worth a drive (through the back alley) to check out a colorful celebration of heritage and of community. Its a really impressive and enchanting setting, though itll probably take you more time to get to rather than get through.
Its a cool looking place.
Charming! As always!
I lived in Hamtramck and it is a treasure that everyone should see
So neat loved it
Use the alley between the streets to find this fun spot!
Interesting. Its under renovation from new owner. In a back alley. Very colorful!
I REALLY MISS THE OLD HEIDELBERG PROJECT THAT WAS SADLY TORN DOWN!!! THIS IS PRETTY SWEET! GOTTA GO CHECK THIS OUT! I love art and exotic, different!!! So, if you have a day you want to do something different, taking a drive to see these pieces of art is well worth it! I lived in Hantramck in the past and LOVED IT! I Also suggest taking a stop through the shopping strip on Jos Campau!!! There is also a Great Polish Restaurant with home made Polish dishes, great food and great prices!!! Take the Family for a Hantramck day!!! 😉☺💝
I was dreaming about disney land and i got to go at dec 18
Magical. Its hard not to appreciate such a fabulous construction single handedly built by one old guy for the sole purpose of bringing a little magic to his back yard. Just magical.
The place looks run down and no longer taken care of. Really not too much to see there.
It was Awsome its a great place to be
A beautiful display of randomness that paints a nice picture of Detroit. This and the heidelberg project are some of my favorite landmarks around the city.
Why is the persons name on the photo on the website Misty Meanor????
Amazing cultural experince. Very fun to see all of the local artist works as well.
The rides were thrilling, but the food options were lacking.
Dope spot under restoration
Very unique art installation located at someones home. Its definitely worth stopping by and checking out for a moment.
Odd but cool!
Very unique place. Its currently in a renovation process, only garnering 3 stars. Im sure by summer of 2017 it will be much more appealing.
One star says it all! Owner died & its been stripped down to 20% of what it was. Some stooges are trying to capitalize on the creators vision still calling it disneyland? Dont waste your time, nothing much there in the alley anymore...
I was helping to paint the installation to restore it to its former glory. This wonderful exhibition of a mans love for his country
Beautifully authentic and fascinating outsider juggernaut! Definitely a sight to see if you are in and round Detroit or Hamtramck!
Amazing sight to see.Is this guy still going or is the project still going.Detroit has the heildberg project Hamtramck has Disneyland.Really fun spot for the whole family for free. Will make anyone smile.Vist this place durning day ligth hours not much to see at night. The majority of items are found in the alleyGreat for date night.
Its like art ...its nice to see someone bringing positve attention to hamtramck. I lived there for many years when my children were young and they always enjoyed going by there! 👍👍
Historical place in Hamtramck, good place to take the kids to see a outdoor museum for free!!!
The place is slowly rotting away. Lack of maintainability makes it look like something out of a horror movie. The beauty is gone. You get excited from Google images and then the real Hamtramck Disney land project lets you down.
The best place to take a kid and get them happy but NO there is not a hands on section.
Very artistic and worth seeing
Needs repairs and maintenance. Would be lovely with colorful paint touched up.
I didnt see anything when I went to the Google maps marker. Construction was going on around it, and I did see someone dash in a backyard fence and come out with a bag. Is Micky pushing pills? Has the opioid epidemic reached Disneyland?...naw, but dont try to visit this anymore. Its just a regular neighborhood.
Finally got to check this out...pretty cool!
It was awesome I love disney
I love this so much its so cute
Its ok nothing to write home about
Crazy fun place to see. So sad that the owner wasnt home.
Fun folk art. Small.
It was Awsome its a great place to be
Maybe we went to the wrong place but I think we trespassed and entered someones backyard and saw some junk painted and kept. Is this the Hamtramck Disneyland. The neighborhood is also a little unfriendly.
The site was closed and inaccessible when we visited. Please check before making the trip.
An amazing work of art.
There is nothing like it.
60% chance you wont get murdered my a creepy clown!
Its an abandoned place now. More like a haunted house.
Personal art at its best
Not what it used to be
Been watching this grow since i was a kid every year i looked forward to see what he had added
Fun to go see
Amazing!
Bizarre fantasy world
Very unique concept
Sad shadow of what it used to be.
Absolutely amazing
Unique
Nice spot
It looks like a house of horrors...its run down and an eye sore it needs to be taken down...garbage!!!
