It wasnt really what I expected. When I took Karate there was more of a focused and disciplined environment. They have no control over the class and there arent enough instructors to help the children with form. The class sizes are too large considering a pandemic at this time and no one wears mask. The contract alone should have been a red flag. There is no clause or exception to get out of it. Even if you move across the country lol. You can do better!

I highly recommend this place to help your child gain self-confidence, learn respect and become more physically fit! My grandson has been going there for one month and I see a great improvement in all three of those aspects. The teachers are motivational and make sure to pay each and every child attention to help them grow. I can’t say enough good things about this business and what it will do for your child!

My son has been taking lessons here since 3rd grade. Hes now going to the 9th grade. My husband and I love the fact that they promote self control, respect, and hard work while still making karate fun. Such a positive atmosphere. The kids and adults there also motivate each other to do their best. They also congratulate and celebrate each others accomplishments.

We love Green’s Martial Arts! I just signed my four year old son up for classes. He fell in love with it from the moment we did the trial class. It’s the perfect activity for him. He loves it and looks forward to going every time! Prices are great and the entire place is very nice and clean! If you’re considering it, I highly recommend it!

I enrolled my son and daughter. That was the best thing I could have done. Greens made them feel welcome and has boosted their confidence as well as teaching them self defense. They focus on self discipline as well. They are very family friendly and address you as a person by name when you walk in the doors.

My son went here for a short time. At first, I was very excited about him going. After he started though, I recognized that the learning experience for the children was not authentic. It seemed commercial for lack of a better word. I was able to form this opinion because I have been to other martial arts classes. Others that I have been to show more respect and discipline towards the art. For example, my son was able to move up in belt colors shortly after joining, without having any real knowledge. To me, that is not authentic. Also, after being unable to send my son to class because of a conflict with my work schedule they refused to stop charging me. I had to cancel my card. The owner then badgered me into giving him my routing and acct number so they could continue to bill me. Of course, I did no such thing. They really only care about the dollar, commercial. The owners also urge people to give 5 star ratings after only being there 1 or 2 times, again commercial. If you don’t really care if your child learns anything authentic and just want him/her to be involved in something, then this might be the place for you. If you respect the culture and teachings of martial arts, I suggest you look elsewhere. Thanks for reading, hagd. :-)The owner may disagree with my post and that is fine. I have been so impressed with everyone at Greens Martial Arts. So friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to ensure my grandson was comfortable. They have treated our family like were truly part of their team, and what they are working hard to accomplish in everyone there. Im so excited for my grandson to be part of Greens!

This place is AWESOME. I visited for a graduation ceremony and you could immediately feel the discipline, respect and confidence shown from Sensei Green and staff and even the kids in the class. I could tell the kids were loved and enjoyed their time at karate each time.Sensei Green even introduced himself to me before graduation, which was such an honor.

I enrolled my 3 years old daughter in the kids program and didnt know what to expect. Its amazing what sensei Amy do with these little kids. My Godson had a bullying issue at school this month. So we decided to sign him up for martial arts class. The first moment we spoke to the owner he put our mind at ease that they specialized in children that have been bullied. We took him for his first orientation where they taught him little tricks to help him with bullying. Unfortunately when my Godson went to school after being out for two days the bully was still up to his antics. But thanks to Mr. Green and his wife he knew exactly what to do and it worked out well. We recommend this school to anyone who has a child that is feeling small, bullied, or picked on. Not only was my Godson in a different frame of mind today he wasnt afraid and he is so excited about everything that hes going to learn at his new martial arts school. My son has been training at GMA for the past year, and it has immensely improved his focus, self-esteem, self-discipline, and overall demeanor. It is a family-run business that truly cares about each student. The students are not taught only the motions and forms of karate, but the tenets of honor, courage, and discipline. You could go to any other McDojo, but you would be shortchanging yourself. If you are considering signing your child up for karate, do it here. All age groups are welcomed with open arms here. Weve been part of the Greens Martial Arts Center family for almost 12 years and are very impressed with the high caliber instructors. This business is family owned and operated. Classes are for all ages and they offer a discount for military and multiple family members. Every year the students march in the Christmas parade. They also hold a banquet and Easter egg hunt. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a place for their children to learn Karate and meet new people within the community.

We enrolled two of our grandkids here last year and it has made a drastic improvement in their overall behavior and self esteem. They took to karate immediately and Sensi Amy Green is awesome and is amazing with the little kids. I highly recommend this Karate school to parents, guardians and grandparents.

We cannot say enough great things about this dojo. The teacher is awesome, and the staff is very friendly. The student leaders work very well with the students. My son, who is mildly Autistic, was given one-on-one attention until he was able to perform on his own. He is challenged every day, in class, and because of those challenges, hes able to continually meet the standard and exceed it. Greens Martial Arts is definitely somewhere I always recommend to my friends and anyone who talks about wanting to put their kids in karate. This is a top notch dojo with real traditional karate. Sensei Green always leads an energetic class which is always a great work out. You will feel very welcomed by all of the classmates immediately as this is a very friendly & supportive experience.

My son gets his junior black in sept. Hes been there 3 yrs now and has had a great time learning and growing.

My grandson has been going to the dojo for about two years and it has helped his focus and discipline. The whole staff is very helpful and courteous. Renshi Amy is his awesome instructor and I would recommend Greenes Martial Arts to anyone. I like the fact that they not only teach karate and discipline but make sure that they conduct themselves properly outside of the dojo. They also get recognized for their school behavior and grades.

My daughter enjoyed her classes there but when we had to move due to unforeseen circumstances they would not release us from the contract that I mistakenly signed... RUN FROM THE CONTRACT!! Agree with previous reviewer that this place is all about the money.Had to finally post this on their FB page:Have been trying to reach you unsuccessfully regarding the continued withdrawal of money from my account on a monthly basis even though I have moved from Hampton to Kansas City over 7 months ago. I have spoken with your third party billing agent and sent in all the required school enrollment papers, utility bills and other ridiculousness. They have ripped me off for $855 now and I had to close my bank account and open a new one to stop the payments. Spoke to Sensei Green regarding this very personal and difficult matter prior to moving with absolutely no sympathy or offer to assist in the matter. Would appreciate if someone from GMA could contact me and let me know how we will resolve this. The last class my daughter attended was in FEBRUARY. You still have my contact info. Thank you.

My kids are going to Greens Martial Arts and they love it.. I have done a lot of looking around a before putting my kids into any dojo.. I picked Greens Martials Arts and I called them and got a meeting the next day to get more info & my kids were put in to sensei greens class to try it out and they loved it from the first day (that same day)..Sensei Green she is great with the kids and she makes it so much fun for the kids but also the kids are learning right decisions, and they all love her, she teaches them Bully proof and self defense and when its ok to use karate and not to.. I can say without a shadow of a doubt 100% that my kids lean so much..Sensei Green & Kyoshi Green & the rest of the staff at Greens Martial arts are always there and ready to greet you with a friendly smile and very fast to help you in away..
