I can’t make enough positive comments about this Lighthouse Mechanical, from the owner to every tech that worked hard to find and solve my extremely vexing issue to the officer personnel who were also very helpful. It was almost a full time job to find a company that would quote me a reasonable price to install new HVAC. After surveying a number of companies Lighthouse Mechanical was the only company that gave me me a reasonable price. Their technicians (Jake and Charles) were professional, on time and true craftsman! Lighthouse did an excellent job and I would recommend them to all of my friends and family!
I appreciated that I was able to schedule a repair appointment online during the weekend. Emily called on Monday morning to confirm the technician would arrive later that morning. He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, and had the necessary part in his truck to complete the repair. We are happy with the process and the quality of the service.
I knew the issue of my air condition problem it requires Freon gas. I called the Lighthouse that said have to charge $79 for diagnostics fee no matter what. Okay, thats understandable even if I know the issue. The technician came and said the problem is lack of Freon Gas R-22. He said its $125 per pound. After finish refill 4LBS of R-22, I ask him Is there a way you can prove the 4 LBS was refilled?. He said there is no way he can prove. I told him How can I know you fill in 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 libs?. The technician said Just trust us!. I dont even trust my Mom or Dad if there is no proof. I end up paying $579, but I still dont see any evidence from photos of gauge meter or anything. I just have to trust them stay dumb.
These guys totally nailed it. Mine was a small job, just a section of furnace ductwork that I needed to have rewrapped, and Id had trouble getting anybody out here to do the work. Emily at Lighthouse was super nice, super efficient; the technicians came out here and did the work and were polite and professional and were here on time and got the job done. Id definitely recommend them for a much bigger job.
Keith came out to my house today to fix a wire that was disconnected/ severed from my AC unit. He was very professional and he gave me advance on how to clean the grass out of AC unit so that my unit will run better. He showed me how to disconnect power from my unit and how to take the top off of the unit so that I could clean it. He did an awesome job thank you so much it was also really hot outside and he never got irritated with me for asking questions he was awesome.
The whole experience was phenomenal. Starting with those who answer the phones; they couldnt be friendlier. Kevin, who did my quote and planning(I believe), gave a good and honest vibe from the start. To Jake and his crew, who did the installation, they were pleasant to have around the house and very accommodating to my schedule. Very glad I shopped around a little bit and certainly made the correct choice.

I attached below a copy of the receipt from the Technician that came to perform regularly scheduled maintenance just like I have been doing with your company for the last 14 years or so. I never called you and asked you about the American Homeshield Warranty. That is completely untrue as well. I cannot believe your imagination in trying to make yourself look good. I feel sorry for you. Nowhere in attached call slip states that the system was condemned and that the system was left turned off, that is completely untrue . As a matter of fact, here is a direct quote from the slip: System is running but strongly recommend replacing the unit soon. I am a retired servicemember with 26 years of service and integrity is important to me. Instead of taking ownership for your mistakes (Office Manager), you decided to degrade your company reputation even further. Now I say again, Good Luck to you!!!_____________________________________________________________________Owner Response:Mister Rossy, You called a week ago saying your twenty two year old system was not cooling as well as you would like and requested a maintenance. We performed the maintenance. Our technician told you at that time that the drain pan and evaporator coil were extremely rusty. He told you that the system was low on R22 refrigerant and could not be recharged due to evaporator leaks. He told you there were numerous other issues, that the system was condemned, and would need to be replaced. He left the system non-operational, which means he shut it off and informed you it should not be operated. All these are documented with pictures and a work order which you signed confirming your knowledge that the system was not operable.You called us the next afternoon asking if we did replacements with American Home Shield. When you were told we do not, you got very aggressive with our dispatcher (not receptionist) and complained again that your system continued to struggle and you wanted another opinion. We sent our other technician out to you - at no charge - even though your system had been condemned and you were told it should not be run. He found the evaporator coil and the entire suction line a solid block of ice - which only happens when a system is extremely low on refrigerant (which you were told on Tuesday). In order to do any testing on the system, he informed you you would need to turn the system off and leave the system off until it thawed, and left your premises to perform other jobs. He returned several hours later to perform the testing you requested which our first technician already performed. He confirmed the first technicians findings, that the evaporator coil was rusted and leaking, the drain pan was rusted and leaking, and that the system was extremely low on refrigerant. He reiterated that your twenty two year old system was not fixable and would need to be replaced. He also documented with pictures and a work order with his notes which you signed.When our technician left, you then called the office and spoke directly to the Office Manager (not the receptionist as you say above). Our company does not allow our customers to speak to our employees in such derogatory ways as you had the day before, so when your call came through the Office Manager answered your call.
I highly recommend this company. I got a Trane unit for my house and works flawlessly. Mr Tim Elliot was very professional and polite, he answered all my questions. The technicians that came and installed the unit were also very knowledgeable and professional, it took them only 5 hours to remove the old unit and install the unit. I will definitely do business with them again.
I wanted to install a furnace and air conditioner to replace the 24 year old furnace I had. I have a two-story home and it was difficult to keep the temperature comfortable in both areas. Matt was great! He made suggestions, did not pressure me into making a decision. The work crew was great - very knowledgeable and cleaned up each day when they were finished.

On 12/30/2019 I tried to get in touch with Lighthouse Mechanical as I have a contract with them on my HVAC system. There was no answer to my phone call. Neither of the numbers that I tried were in service. They are supposed to have 24/7 service. This is very poor service to paying customers.
We lost our heat in a snowstorm. Called Lighthouse, they were there in hours. House was built in 1990 so entire unit needed replacing. Lighthouse replaced unit in one day at a fair price and cleaned up. Outstanding service and workmanship. This work was on daughters house, mine was built in 1990 too and they will get the call.
5 stars+. We had Lighthouse Mechanical replace our downstairs AC unit. Although we had never used them for work in the past, at the recommendation of a neighbor we added them to the list of 3 other contractors for estimates. We found their estimate to be slightly lower than the others and with a better warranty. The quality of their work was outstanding. Their on site workers were on time, polite, professional, and cleaned up as if no one had been here. The service/sales representative did an outstanding job going over the various aspects of the job and comparisons of the various AC units on the market. We especially liked the fact that their service/sales representative came out several days later to walk through the job, making sure we were 100% satisfied with their work and that final payment was not due until the walk through was complete. I would highly recommend them to others and plan on using them for any future heating and cooling needs.

Very happy with our new tankless water heater. Matt went above and beyond to help us get a replacement for the old one that had died on short notice. He even was patient enough to let us get a few more quotes even though it meant that we didnt give final confirmation until the night before the scheduled install. Charles did an excellent job installing the new heater and answered all of my (many) questions. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and polite, especially Robin who always made sure she called me to keep me informed throughout the process. All in all, it was a great experience.
Had my Noritz tankless water heater scaled and flushed today. It is the first time since moving into our new home. I called Lighthouse because they are certified with Noritz. It was very easy to schedule an appointment. Charles and Phillip showed up on time and performed quality work. For the time they spent (including traveling to WB) the charge was reasonable. Charles also answered my questions about our unit.I will call them the next time I need our tankless water heater serviced.
Good people. Just a freaking RIP off!! $80 for a diagnostic & over $150 for a part I could have bought and replaced myself 😡😡😡😡😡 so over $200 for a quick 5 minute fix. Took the guy longer to write up the paper work vs fixing the problem. Unreal

They worked non stop except a lunch break and went above and beyond like I have never experienced before. Lighthouse Mechanical made some duct modifications prior to new carpet being installed. The Lighthouse crew arrived on time and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. Very Pleased!
Last year, when our 13+ year old unit conked out, we shopped around for replacements. Of the 8+ contractors we had come out and give us quotes, Lighthouse was by far the most professional, understanding of the situation, and in the end best value for the price. That day, the rep we talked with had two portable AC units in the house to get us more comfortable. Within 3 days we had our new unit up and running, and they even replaced the old gas pipe run. When it started to rain halfway through the install, they set up an awning and just kept going! Not only that, but the financing options (12 mo. 0% interest) was far and above any other contractor, so we are about done with paying it off without a single cent of interest.
This has been nothing short of a nightmare. In summary, the heater is not working, asked them to come out two days ago to fix the problem. I was told the problem was fixed, mind you they were called due to our electric bill being close to $600 on a 1600 sq. foot home. This was completely their fault due to an installation error. I called again today due to the vents blowing out cold air (two days after it had been fixed) and was spoken to like a piece of trash by their office staff. The staff was apparently upset about a letter my deployed spouse had written asking them to correct this matter. I waited on them for over an hour after they called today telling me a technician was in route and would be there in a few minutes. My little one needed cough medicine so I left the door unlocked (after waiting the few minutes for them) to show up. I received a call just now from one of their polite (insert sarcasm)office staff stating that they werent going to wait an hour on me to get home and Id have to reschedule in the morning. I would also like to point out that although Matt is a great salesman and personable, dont expect anything from this company once their sale is made.

We had a new Trane heat pump and air handler installed in the fall to replace our 18 year old system. I got estimates from 4 different companies ranging from large to small. After Matt came and did the estimate, I knew that I was going to choose lighthouse. Lighthouse offered the best package deal with price, service, and people combined. The install team was excellent and even did a great job installing an additional UV air purifier for me. I wanted to wait a couple of months to make sure everything was going to operate as advertised and so far its exceeded my expectations. My electric bill has dropped and my house does much better staying at temperature. I would recommend Lighthouse to anybody that is looking for a good install at a good price with quality people doing the job.
Lighthouse Mechanical is a rip off. Their diagnostic price will not be included with any needed repairs. I needed services done in my furnace. I was informed that I needed a Hot surface ignitor for $242 + the $79 diagnostic fee for a total of $ 321. The furnace worked for 20 minutes and I was without heat for the whole evening until the next day until I called to inform them. They sent another technician to my home to inform me that I now need a control board for a total of $369. Their diagnostics should have indicated that the control board was bad in the first place. They did not want to offer a discounted fee or include the diagnostic fee with the price of replacing the control board for the misdiagnosis nor for the inconvenience of not having any heat for 24 hours. I would not recommend this company to anyone. :( :(
I was extremely displeased with Light Mechanical this Summer. The first technician, who was supposedly their most skilled guy, spent more time commenting on how old the system was in the house. I get it, its old, but that mentality seemed to affect the proper diagnosing of the AC unit. The first tech only checked the outside portion of the unit and did not even bother to check the inside portion which was located in the attic. He put a small amount of coolant in the unit and essentially left (after charging me a few hundred dollars). I had had another technician dispatched from Lighthouse (because there was no change in the performance of the AC) and he did a much better job. He also took his time examining the AC unit. Although he gets an A for effort, he could not figure out what was wrong with the unit. He also referenced the age of the unit. I tried getting in touch with Lighthouse Mechanicals manager (I was supposed to get a phone call back...that never happened).After waiting for a few days, I contacted another company. Not only were they more professional, but they figured out what was causing the problem. Apparently, Lighthouse Mechanical did not correctly measure the outside AC unit (it was giving a false coolant reading). The unit was essentially way lower on coolant. Once the other company filled it up (properly), the unit began to function much better.Bottom line, I wish Lighthouse Mechanical would have taken a more professional approach about trying to fix my unit instead of spending more time commenting on the units age...which ran fine when properly topped off with the right amount of coolant. Thanks for taking my money Lighthouse Mechanical, and not doing anything.
We replaced our old system with a new Trane Comfort System from Lighthouse Mechanical. The whole process from start to finish assured us we made the right decision. Very professional, an honest company that doesnt pressure or upsell like big box stores. We highly recommend them!

Absolutely horrible! We bought a house and the seller used them to “fix” a problem. The furnace wasn’t blowing hot air and we had to wait a week for the to get a part in! Then after they left the heat stopped working! Had a different guy from the same place come and take a look. He didn’t even know what he was doing! Got on YouTube then told me what was the problem and left. HEAT STILL NOT WORKING! I had my contractor come and take a look at it and he said it was probably just a thermostat since the one in there was really old. We replaced it and the heater started working again. I called to talk to someone in charge to tell them that their guy was trying to charge us for a new part( according to our contractor)! She said the guy told her he left the house and the heat was working and proceeded to call me a liar. There are 4 people that live here all can attest to the heat not working. That guy should have his license pulled! We definitely will be telling my husbands higher ups about this so military personnel won’t get screw over!

Will charge you an arm and a leg to only fix a part of the problem and then proceed to misdiagnose the issue. Not to mention being called liars for saying that the heater still didnt work. Worst customer service I had to deal with in all my years and they didnt even care to clean up after themselves.

Lighthouse has been our go to company for HVAC and water heater issues for various properties for years now. Matt has been great to us with fair pricing and great customer service. He even calls afterward to make sure you are completely happy. Nick, Jake, and Brian worked at our house from 9-4 in 90 degree temperatures fixing the ac and converting a gas water heater to an electric one. Kenson helped too, but had to leave for another service call but came back and stayed until the job was finished. These guys worked so hard all day, changed shirts when they couldnt stand the wet ones any longer and were very appreciative for the powerade and lunch. If you need HVAC or water heater sales or service you need not look any further than Lighthouse Mechanical Heating and Cooling.
Had an issue with my ac that required the replacement of the capacitor... I called their service line at 930pm and the gentleman came out within 30 minutes of calling me back. About 45mins total. The job itself took about 30 mins and was $290.total.

After living in a home for 1.5 yrs that was brand new upon purchase, I was shocked when the a/c broke. We literally got one summer out of it. But, nothing is perfect, so I called our builder and he directed me to the installer. The point of contact that I spoke with was incredibly vague, but mildly polite about my warranty information. When a diagnostic appt was made, it was still unclear what costs I would incur. I was told, however, that I would be able to avoid a diagnostic fee this time. The technician was awesome, prompt and found that the evaporator coil was leaking. He filled my system with refrigerant in the hopes that it would last unail my part came in. I found it surprising that after a few days, I had to call in to see what time frame and what price I would be looking at. I spoke to the same rep as before, who told me that I would only pay labor charges, and additional refrigerant if needed. The part cane in, service was scheduled, and again the technician was great, and quite fast. However, when it came to settle I was charged the labor, diagnostic and refrigerant. I paid the bill, and then called and spoke to the SAME rep, who vaguely explained that I had to pay the refrigerant fee, yet the technician was able to recover all refrigerant he had used initially. I found this to be conflicting, perhaps Im wrong. I am no HVAC specialist. I inquired about the diagnostic fee, and was told I should not be charged for that. I was told she would look at the paper work and gwt back to me. Almost three weeks later still waiting. At this point Im done calling, and while I could use the money, Im just tired of calling the same person. I awarded two stars bc the technician was amazing. However, I am very weary of using this company again. The biggest problem seems to be with the front line, first point of contact.
