Worst experience I’ve ever had with child care! They say they are “24 hours” but then never let you schedule past a certain time because they have no workers for that shift. And open weekends?! Yeah right. Always making excuses! My children got ringworm from there then they don’t let them come back for a week. That was understandable but then they expect payment for that week?! Ridiculous. My kids were always coming home with unexplained marks and were complaining that the staff was mean. No one would ever want to talk about the situation. Then on top of that one day I come to pick up my kids and MY AUTISTIC DAUGHTER is locked in a child’s seat!!!! I was sickened! I specifically asked when I was interested in them if they could handle an autistic child. They said they could but obviously not. They would feed my kids such small portions that they would come home starving. I came to pick them up one day as they were eating dinner and the plate size was nothing more than a snack. I wasn’t surprised my kids were coming home starving. Definitely not enough when you have kids for 8 hours a day. I wouldn’t recommend this day care to anyone! No matter how nice it looks the care they give children is pathetic. Wish I could give 0 stars. One is even too much!!!

They are very unprofessional and the owner is extremely lazy, she sits upstairs in a room while her worker is with the kids. Her worker is also unprofessional and Unorganized and need more professional workers.

They let my friend pick up my kids. Although he was trying to be nice and help out, I didn’t say yes to this and he is not on my list of people that I said could pick up my children. When he arrived no one would answer the door. Finally MY 7 YEAR OLD SON answered the door, my son tried to tell ms Donna (the daycare owner) that they were about to leave but he couldn’t get her to wake up. She fell asleep on my babies they were practically watching each other. And had the nerve to call me angry because they left and didn’t lock her door. My kids were never happy there and always hungry when they left . They told me all they get to do is lay down. If I could give 0 stars I would

I absolutely love that my son attends this daycare! I had just moved to the area and popped up on the center twice before enrolling. First time I didnt hear any babies yelling or teachers screaming outside the door. I was welcomed to find the owner Ms. Donna was actually in the kitchen making chicken strips from scratch, fresh fruits and vegetables on the counter. Next pop up, the children were controlled and was given the same blunt treatment by the owner. Yes, It was a little rocky at first as my son had just turned 1, teething badly, not walking and my off days were sunday and monday but Ms. Donna took us in and worked with us as we did with her. Yes, unfortunate things happen that may be outside or faster than the teachers control but i feel she disciplined fair and consistently. It has officially been a year and i can honestly say Ms. Donna is still the same person i popped up on, shes honest and considerate. She has been aware of all accidents taken place at her center regarding my child whether she was in attendance or not which are things i look for in the owner. Meals have been provided in full proportion to each child in my opinion, consistent snacks, outside play, thoughtful holiday gifts for the children to take home, displayed arts and crafts, field trips beyond a pull in the wagon around the block. My son is now 2: no diapers, he knows his alphabet, most colors, days of the week and can count to 20. As a former child care teacher, I am grateful for the care my child receives at this center as this is a crucial point in his life. Thank you to all the other staff that goes above and beyond: Ms. Shavon, Ms. Brandy, Mr. Mack and Ms. Darlisha for sticking with us.

A is for apple is a beautifully ran program .. from academics to the meal plans .. I give the entire program 5stars hands down. The owner gets in the kitchen and prepares a home cooked meal herself and not to mention the kids love the staff.. Ms Donna is very attentive to the children and I simply feel at ease knowing theyre in great hands .. I am able to attend work and actually focus on my job because I am assured they are being taken care of properly .. At one time I was experiencing car trouble Ms Shavon took time out her more than busy schedule to pick up my children so that I could get to work to provide for my family of four .. the staff has truly been a blessing to me and my family, transportation is not in her job description but she did that out of the kindness of her heart because she really cares for the children and i appreciat that so much ..keep up the great work ! we have grown to love you guys thank u so much for everything A is for Apple.

That 1 star review is clearly from a disgruntled parent WHO NEVER PAID A DIME BECAUSE SHE WAS GOVERNMENT FUNDED! Why would a daycare allow kids to attend when theyre covered in ringworm? What type of so-called mother continues to send her children back every single day if all these alleged horror stories occurred? Why I beg you to tell me WHY did the daycare still have to kick YOU out? THIS DAYCARE IS IMMACULATE the staff is amazingly patient, friendly, & adored by all of the children which is why they have a mile long waiting list. Parents that work nights and weekends are very fortunate to have an affordable flexible program such as this & Im disgusted at the way low-life people go out of their way to ruin the reputation of such an awesome establishment! If you didnt like it then nobody should have to kick you out in my opinion.... Dont forget the same kid that was allegedly restrained had already been kicked out of public school before these kind people welcomed her into their program... Might i add this program is a Level 3 quality rated program, equal opportunity, On My Way Pre-K, accepts all forms of payment, and the staff has nearly 100 years of combined experience in the early childhood profession. I highly recommend this program, 2 of my 3 children who attend here have special needs & they feel at home in A is for Apple just like they do with me. Its funny that nobody else got ringworm!
