Been on hold for 50 minutes without being in contact with any person at all. Called again the next day waited 30 minutes, no contact. I called AGAIN the next day and its now been 25 minutes on hold. It would be GREAT if ANYONE in the office would actually pick up the phone.

This is the best office every. front desk ladies are nice, polite, respectful and very helpful on needs that you are there for. I would like to personally Thanks Maria Mendoza and Carolyn Shotwell for the hard work and effort that they put toward me in helping me find a job. Thank you ladies for your dedication that you put in every day and toward helping clients. Even though I am a new resident here I would like to say on behalf of Hammond thank you for the swift service you provide for this community of Hammond.

Arrived 10 minutes before the closing time and they were so efficient I was done before the guard locked the door. Why cant all service agencies work toward this goal!

Went latter in the afternoon this one and was in and out no problem. They are very helpful and nice to my son and myself. My recommendation is go early in the morning at just before close. Mondays are always busy. Try mid week if your not pressed by time restraints.

Oh God. The wait was so unbelievably. Two women working (2) then (1) went on break. I had to be at the trustees office in a half hour. Did they car ? No. I explained that my NIPSCO was going off and needed to see them only to get a simple copy of my application. But NOPE !!! Hey, Im not special and dont deserve any special treatment but they knew I was coming I called them and told them. So, if you need any help GO EARLY !!!! OR YOULL BE THERE FOR A WHILE.

The first time I applied for food stamps, I never received anything in the mail so I had to reapply. Then, months later, my boyfriend went in & applied. 2 months later and still hadnt heard anything back so he went in today and was told that he had to reapply. Again. I have 2 other friends that had the same problem. I dont understand if theres something wrong with their systems or if theyre just completely unorganized but this is ridiculous & shouldnt be happening. Its a headache & extremely inconvenient.

Extreamly disrespectful, extremely unorganized. Completley messed up my food stamps. I had a case going and completely sent in on Feb 25th. I went in Tuesday march 19 and a new woman whom kept cutting me off went in a redid everything, then told me not to call anyone or id mess up everything she did.Only to find out she was not qualified to work on my stamps only Medicare, and the girls in the booths next to her were laughing while listening to her speak to me. Went in again another day and was told not to call the 1800 number because theyre only a call center I was left in the lobby for over a hr while they got every one in and out before me only to be told i dont need any of the name of the girls who completely messed up my case.I have been going here for quite a while and have never been treated in such a way ... If theirs anyone else I can fild a complaint against id love to know. This place is horrible and has went completely down the drain.

I had a phone interview today for temporary assistance, albeit they were an hour late in calling, the young lady that took my information, Yasmine, was wonderful!! She told me what I needed to submit, so I gathered up the required documents, and brought them to the Hammond, Indiana location. The security guard there was asleep at the front desk, the extremely rude people behind the counter barked at me to take a number. I then proceeded to sit there for 20 minutes, when all I was doing was dropping off documents. Once my number was called, the rude Latina that helped me wanted to keep telling me what the office doesnt do. (Such as keep the documents, they are scanned.) Well I was told on the phone to bring copies because originals dont get returned....thus costing me money at the library to get the copies, only to have them scanned in. The staff acted as if the customers were an inconvenience, and really, if you dislike people and dont wish to help them, perhaps a human services position is not for you!!!

This place had us bring in certain forms when we get there they said now we need a medical card then we go get it and then they say it cant be a medical card from State and then made us go get shot records.no one should have to go through that much trouble to get there social security card and when I talked to supervisor twice after first visit Ms webster shame on u guys there needs to be a compaint line to report these kind of action
