Response time was super fast within an hour of initial call. Invoice was exactly what was quoted. AC line set was repaired the next day after the roofer drove a nail through the line set in the attic releasing all freon on a very hot and humid day. Total Comfort placed my AC system back in service properly and in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Total Comfort.

I would definitely recommend Total Comfort. They did the installation of a mini-split system in my 1926 home remodel on the first floor. We did a Mitsubishi system with a ceiling mount unit in the dining/kitchen, a floor unit for the mudroom and a basement unit for the office/dining room/foyer. These 3 indoor units all run off one outdoor unit. They also repaired my existing AC system for the second and third floor. They also replaced the thermostat for my radiator heating system and moved it to the second floor (no easy task) along with combining the existing AC onto the same thermostat. I’m very happy with the mini-split system. My house feels like a brand new house! I’ll be using Total Comfort for any maintenance or improvements going forward. Also, everyone I dealt with were good communicators. Great people and company.

I received great service from Mike on my Geothermal system. I just bought my house and he gave me a great overview of the system and answered all my questions. We had vibrations and excessive noise coming from the system which we thought was normal, but he quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed loop pump which he replaced that day -- problem solved. We have had Total Comfort perform annual HVAC maintenance on our aging Geothermal Heat Pumps for several years now. We have always been pleased with their timeliness, thoroughness, and responsiveness to answer any questions we have had. The Total Comfort team replaced our existing house system(s) with an entirely new Geothermal solution. Not only are they leaders in the Geothermal world, they are totally customer focused. I am an architect and career construction project manager, have lived through two remodels of my own home, and have seen the entire range of performance - they are at the top, in my experience. Ours was a very complicated project (at least to this homeowner), executed during a pandemic, that included removing all systems and ductwork, rezoning and redesigning to improve comfort and performance, and replacing all of the mechanical system. They managed their two partners (ductwork and drilling) and operated seamlessly, and patiently worked through County paperwork and bureaucracy. They also worked very cooperatively and professionally with the other contractors working at the same time (carpentry, plumbing, electric, plaster and paint). Once completed, they continue to help fine tune the system as we began to use it, and will provide a follow on service contract.Very happy with my choice...to borrow a phrase It only costs a nickel more, to go first class. Spend that extra nickel - it will be worth it.

Total Comfort is a fantastic company. When our heat quit working, they got a tech out to us that day by adjusting their techs schedules. When the problem was discovered to be a burned up circuit board in the system, they went out of their way to locate a replacement, and even sent a second tech out to get the part to us. Total Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning are to be commended for coming to my rescue during one of the hottest weeks in July 2017.I came home from work around 7:30 p.m. to find that my heating and air unit had stopped functioning. I called Total Comfort the next morning and they sent a workman out to evaluate the situation and suggest what I should do. After 27 years of life the old unit was put to rest and a new one put in, but first the workman put a window air conditioner up in my bedroom so I would be more comfortable to sleep while they did the work. Now that is true customer service. During the working period the workmen were persistent about keeping the area free of any debris and very careful not to scratch anything which is very important to me. Then once the job was finished the explanation of how the new unit works in layman terms was greatly appreciated and the fact of how careful they were in checking that there was no air in any of the gas lines since they had to turn it off to put the new unit in. I am very pleased with my experience with Total Comfort and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done.

My family just moved into a house that had issues with asbestos, mold and radon. Those issues were fixed but we wanted to take extra precautions. I contacted Patrick about checking the HVAC system in the house and explained to him our concerns and he recommended an AirScrubber. They tied it in with a check-up of the existing HVAC system in the house. We feel a lot safer in our new home with this new technology.

These people are awful! My AC wasn’t working and they said it was the filter, so they replaced that. Then, I called because it died once again they never got back to me. They must not have even looked, because we had another professional come in and solve the problem immediately (not the filter).

Total Comfort installed 2 geothermal units for us. A 5 ton Waterfurnace unit and a 3 ton Waterfurnace unit. We are very happy with the product and installation. Purchased an American Standard Gold 17. Installed on 07/05/2017. Total Care is very professional. They quoted me fairly according to the system I purchased. Patrick was good to work with and more importantly I trust him and Total Comfort. The installation appears to be done professionally. They were in and out of here in 7 hours. The installers were professional and courteous. The lines are insulated, which my previous system was not. They do not negotiate so dont bother trying, but overall they are fair and professional, which is all you can really ask for.

I originally contacted Total Comfort when I was working on closing on a house which had an 18 year old heat pump system which was having issues. I was introduced to Patrick, who would end up working with me over the next few months while I finished the closing of our house and made final decisions on an HVAC system. During this time I went to the Hagerstown Home Show, arranged for a total of 7 different HVAC companies to come to my house to assess my needs and provide detailed quotes. Most of the HVAC contractors who visited were pleasant and if I were selecting a contractor based upon personalities alone it would have been a hard decision. I based my decision to go with Total Comfort based upon first and foremost a feeling of value when I looked at their quote against the others. Secondly, I also appreciated the extensive list of past customers who I was encouraged to call to discuss their experience with Total Comfort. Finally, I was also very much interested in Geothermal and the other technologies in the newer HVAC systems. Patrick was well versed and talked about the technology with me helping me to make some decisions about the end design of the system.Once the wells were drilled for the Geothermal loops, Total Comfort was on site ready to get to work. They worked ahead a little bit to get my old non-functioning system out of the attic and they also loaned me a portable A/C unit at no cost while I waited for my system to be installed. When it was time to start the equipment install I remember thinking that Total Comfort had way more employees that I would have ever imagined. I remember something like 8 or 9 trucks on site and I think there were a couple of people in each truck. It was well organized as some of the employees worked on removing old equipment, while others worked on installing equipment in other locations and making final decisions on how to install the new equipment. They kept me well informed throughout the process and were fine with making some special requests from me happen. The job was started and finished on time which was much appreciated, and the system not only functions great but it actually looks great too. They did not cut corners, cleaned up every day before they left and the end result is a system that is obviously not just thrown into a location. You can tell it was well thought out and the installers paid attention to the small details to make the install look great.Since the installation was completed 6 months ago Patrick helped me complete all of the paperwork needed for the Geothermal rebates and supplied me with all of the required documentation to send with the rebate applications. I have now received all of my rebates and I am only waiting on the Tax Credit which I will get when I file my taxes in a few months.Overall I am very satisfied with Total Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning. I would highly recommend them based upon my personal experience over the last year of researching, planning and installing a Water Furnace Geothermal HVAC system.
