Garaguso classic martial arts is a tremendous resource for our community where children and adults can go to be active, social, learn real life lessons and skills and have a positive affect on their lives that will last forever. That and the quality people are what keeps our family coming back for more for years now. If you value the same, you should definitely give them a try. We feel very fortunate that we did.

My son loves every lesson he has at Garaguso. The owners / instructors take a personal interest in all their students and work very hard to create a positive and supportive atmosphere of learning and growing. As a parent, I especially appreciate the character education component of each lesson. I could not be happier to be part of the Garaguso family.

Our daughter absolutely loves her classes at Garaguso! The owners and staff are welcoming and informative. The students are taught far more than just the forms and moves. They are taught responsibility and respect. The classes are geared to meet the needs of all levels and ages. We would highly recommend!

This place was great for my son when he went there. He learned a lot of lessons that would help him out in life. He learned a lot of self control, which he already had, but these classes expanded on his skill sets. Besides the great staff and care that they showed while there, the reason they are only getting two stars is because when the government shut down was going on we were unable to send our son to the classes due to the fact that our household did not have a paycheck coming in. Garaguso didn’t seem to care about our situation nor did they offer any help so that my son could stay in his weekly classes. I would recommend it to most but if you fall on hard times expect your child to suffer along with you as long as you attend this gym/dojo. Good luck in everyone’s search but the lack of compassion makes me not want to take my child back here. Not having a paycheck coming in the house was difficult enough on us that our child didn’t have to feel that also.

All the instructors are awesome! The care and concern they show is genuine. We have been training at Garaguso for over 2 years now and havent looked back! Not only are the martial arts lessons wonderful for my kids but the life lessons they teach are equally important. Keep up the great work!!

My experience with the owners of this studio have been 100% positive; most importantly, my son has been having the best experience which is what every parent wants to see; he looks forward to weekly sessions and if he had his way, he would attend every day. I find the studio clean and inviting and the Huvers are approachable, friendly and available in person and by phone to discuss any concerns that I have had regarding my sons learning experience. One of the reasons I wanted my son to attend this type of program is because I wanted him to gain self confidence and the belief that he can do anything that he sets his mind too; some of the other reasons, focus, body awareness and self defense. My son has been attending for four weeks and I have notice a boost in his self esteem. The lessons that the team at Garaguso reinforce is what I am teaching him in his home environment. I am looking forward to continued progress and perhaps in this process my son will develop new friendships.

My daughter has been coming to this location for a few months now. Great atmosphere and super friendly people. My daughter enjoys her time here. I dont see us going anywhere else.

We have been with Garaguso for a year now and I couldnt be happier. Mr. and Mrs. Huver are amazing with the kids and very accommodating with the parents. My son took a couple classes to feel comfortable and they understood my frustration and encouraged both myself and my son to stay with it. My son is now two belts away from his first level black belt, only 4 years old! He loves to show everyone what he learns and respects the teachers! It makes me smile when I enter the building, their good nature is contagious. I recommend for all children, young or adolescents.

Garaguso Martial Arts has been a great experience for our family. The combination of physical activity and discipline has been quite helpful for our rambunctious boys. Mr. and Mrs. Huver take great pride in their facility and the students quickly exhibit the same attitude and respect. My children cant wait to return each week!

Weve been going to Garaguso for 3 years. We love the life lessons they teach - such as, how to handle a bully. It is a welcoming and friendly environment that encourages their students to work hard.

My twin daughters are having the best experience with Mr and Mrs Huver. They are patient and energetic. The girls get so excited about their karate days. They are learning to be more confident and how to follow directions.

We think the Huvers and Garaguso Martial Arts is fantastic. Our son loves going to karate each week. It is a pleasure to watch him progress through the belt ranks and work towards earning his black belt.

Mr. and Mrs. Huver have a gift! Our 3 1/2 year old daughter loves their program and looks forward to every class. Its a great mix of physical activity and learning how to follow instruction. They have older students to help lead the Little Ninja class, which is super helpful to get our daughter motivated and seeing big kids doing the same thing. We tried to start our daughter at the age of 3, but she wasnt ready. Mr. and Mrs. Huver recognized that and we were so impressed with how they handled it.

Absolutely the BEST! Mr. Huver, Mrs. Huver and Mr. Lee have been such amazing role models for my children! They have created a fun and friendly environment with just the right amount of respect and discipline. Garaguso has been a wonderful experience for my children - I couldnt be happier!

In just a few short weeks GCMA has spurred a real interest for learning about martial arts in my 8 year old son. He typically never would stick with any kind of organized sport or group, but now he is eager to go to each class and to see what new things he will learn! Mr. and Mrs. Huver have been just wonderful with my son - acknowledging and building on his strengths while at the same time encouraging him to develop some of the things that are more difficult for him. I would sign him up again for this program in a minute!!

My daughter just started taking karate lessons at Garaguso Classical Martial Arts and she loves it there! My husband and I are impressed with, not only the karate lessons, but also the respect they are teaching our daughter (i.e. how to respectfully address an adult) as well as practical life lessons (i.e. how to find a parent if you become separated in public). We are very, very happy!

Our five year has been enrolled since early this year. We have been veyr happy with Garaguso. Everyone is very nice and they defintiely very positive. Cant recommend it enough!

GCMA prides themselves on being a martial arts school that teaches respect, discipline, endurance, and self-defense. Though they are all of these things; they are so much more than that too!! I initially enrolled my son in the Kick-Start program where it became evident that his self-confidence was taking a giant leap; he was shaking peoples hands each time he met someone new, he was looking at people in their eyes when holding a conversation, he was engaging in conversations with adults, his manners yes maam / no sir came naturally to him not just inside GCMA doors but also in public and at home too. I watched my son go from a timid, shy, boy to a self-assured, confident, proud, young man who walks with his head held high! During some life-changing events that occurred in our lives, ALL of the GCMA instructors were there for my son to support him, help him, and to guide him. Each lesson is mixed with cardio work-out/warm-up, martial arts skills/moves, as well as daily life lessons as the children all listen to the lesson the instructor has to teach for the day (such as respect, kindness, anti-bullying, etc...). I knew that my son found his niche within the GCMA family when I watched him stick up for his younger cousins who were getting picked on. I could not be happier with joining the GCMA family and will highly recommend it to anyone (male, female, child, adult), who asks me what is the greatest decision I ever made for my son. #GCMA @GCMAOH

Mr. and Mrs. Huver have done a stellar job at providing a wide variety of programs that keep our children fit, boost their self-confidence, develop their leadership skills and teach them important life lessons. Additionally, they offer a number of activities that allow the children to socialize, often while providing an opportunity for parents to have a night out on the town.It is also a terrific place to have birthday parties!The Huvers dedicate the time to learn all about their students and form solid relationships with them. It is not uncommon to receive a postcard in the mail telling our son he is doing a good job or a book for our daughter to celebrate the new school year. Small gestures like this brighten our kids smiles and make the difference between good and great, and GCMA is great.

Mr. and Mrs. Huver are great role models for our son! He has grown leaps and bounds since starting almost 2 years ago.
