Lowes is great. It has everything for home decor, improvement, and repair. Its a great place to buy outdoor furniture, lights, flowers, paint, sand, grills, and anything else you may need.
I had purchase an Hunter ceiling a few months ago for a renovation and with the Reno placed on hold, realized the fan was too small for the space. Went to return it for a larger fan, mind you the fan I was exchanging was never opened and I had my receipt. It was a stock item. The manager in customer service would not exchange it. Meanwhile I went in the parking lot and called Corp. Customer service and he suggested I called where I purchased the fan. Called Flanders and spoke with the manager and he said I could come right over to exchange my original hunter fan. I will never go back to this location again. Customer service is horrible. And I live not far from the store. Would not recommend.
Watching my food go bad because they have not delivered my refridgerator as promised...useless and unreliable...
Only one register open and 9 people in her line. She stood there having a conversation with them for a while after finishing the transaction, still with 9 people in her line. Lowes needs to open more registers and train their cashiers better. Its one thing to be friendly with customers its totally another to hold up a bunch of people because youre chatty.
Cashier was great! Floor staff are probably good as well if they didnt stand around and gossip with each other and hide from customers. Store is well kept. Parking lot is usually clear and carts quickly put away.
Online order for curbside pickup. Got there and checked in and then waited and waited. Called in to see if maybe they didnt receive my arrival confirmation. Seems they did and was told someone would be right out. No apologies or anything. So waited and waited another 10 minutes. Someone finally came out. Not too friendly. I dont mind waiting since I can imagine they could be busy inside but let me know that when I called in and set the expectation. I would understand if the customer service rep had communicated with me and told me it was going to take a little longer but she didnt. 1 small item took 30 minutes to pickup.

This Location is not the Biggest but still carries a Varied and Decent Overall Selection of Products. As far as Corporate Performance this Store still Generates enough income to Outperform other Lowes in the Region. This Store is in a Suburb and not in a Major City Geographically but still gets Customer Base Locally and from PA. This Store has had Issues between Store Level and Merchandising Level Communications. But overall, the Merchandising Department does an Excellent Job and things still look Awesome after the Projects get finished. The Store Lighting and Labeling and Signage is Superior to the Aesthetics in the Local Home Depot which has a more Warehouse Like Appearance with Dim Overhead Lighting and Basic Formatting of Labeling and Minimal Product Displays or Product Descriptive Signage. Lowes does a much better Job of Label Formatting, Product Labeling, and Product Descriptive Signage. The Store Level Customer Service is Decent, but due to lack of Steady Customer Traffic or Staffing Shortages at times, I think Employee Moral is Lacking a bit. Customer Service is Decent though. The Health and Safety of this Store has gone to Extremes with all the Plexiglass Partitioning but I expect the Partitioning to Remain even after the Mask Mandates and Social Distancing Mandates are Lifted. The Infrastructure is already in place, so no sense in Removing it now. This Store has a Better Overall Product Selection than the Hackettstown Home Depot, and I do like Kobalt Tools 👍🙂.
Poor customer service. I asked if there was a cart to carry something heavy and although there were at least 6 employees standing around customer service a woman told me go look outside, youll find one. Are you kidding me? How rude? Employees standing around talking to each other instead of working. We returned something as most people were doing that day and another guest said, so typical for customer service is non existent.
I give this business 1* because of the contractor they use. They have one Great person that works there, his name is, Joseph Adipietro. He is the one & only person there that wants to help Lowes consumers. My husband spent a fortune installing a new Trex wood deck. We started the project in April of 2020 as of today its still incomplete waiting for contractors to install railing... they are the worst let me repeat WORST... to deal with on projects. Thank God for Joe because we wouldnt be as far along with this deck as we are. Joe believes in helping Lowes consumers. My project was not his order but I went into the store to complain 3/20/21 Joe took over & has been with me for the remainder of this project. I understand the covid pandemic but to still not have my deck completed is bad business. We had to consult with our lawyer as well. Be warned when you have a project & hear Roger, or Todd run 🏃♀️

I was in the flooring department for 20 minutes. The employee that was standing behind his computer didnt even come over to help or ask if I needed help until I was walking away lowes needs to step up there game on there employees

Pretty average Lowes. There is a home depot down the street which is better but this place still has quite a lot of stuff.
Called to get carpet. After 10 minutes no one answered phone. Went to strore. Pushed the call button which called a person on the intercom over and over. No show. Went to the front and The ONE person in the drtment was out to lunch. Called later and finally got a person who could not help because they were new I had to wait for the next day
Good store. The only problem is the lack of employees to assist you with specific questions.

I love Lowes Home Improvement Centers! Their salespeople are friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable! They allow service dogs and are pet friendly too! The stores are clean, organized and well stocked. We only go to Lowes! From Hanover to Hackettstown they are just around the corner every time we need them! Gotta go to Lowes!

Employees stand around and gossip. Make a concerted effort NOT to make sure contact at the customer service desk so they do not have to greet those in line. Very disappointed.

He didnt push expensive, unnecessary items on me and explained exactly how to use each item. The man made what I thought was going to be a very difficult task relatively easy. Thanks again, Paul!

Everyone in customer service, I could name names but they are all great, have been so helpful in pick up management and resolution of confusion over my online orders. My local go to store.

Couldnt find the fire extinguishers. I passed several salespeople as I was slowly walking along reading all the signs at the ends of the aisles. Not one asked if I needed help finding something. Took forever to find what I was looking for. Check- out lady was friendly.
Couldnt get any help from the paint department to mix paint for me. Waited a half hr after paging and contacting the cashier for help. Went to home depot instead and was in and out in exactly 3 minutes!
While in the middle of a pandemic with people facing economic hardship, then getting hit with winter storm with blizzard conditions bearing down on us, Lowes decides to take advantage of their customers by jacking up prices. Absolutely horrible business practice. You may have made some extra money now, but it will come back to you somehow.

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK EVERY INCH OF YOUR DELIVERED ITEMS!!!!!!!Purchased $4,000 worth of appliances. Delivery was timely and delivery men were friendly but the stove was shoved into the wall so quickly we didnt get a chance to inspect it. When we pulled it out to remove the tape, there was a huge dent on the side and 2 smaller dents on the back. The delivery manager promised me a replacement that never happened. The exchange was more trouble than it was worth so I was offered a discount instead. Very disappointed Hackettstown Lowes!
Awesome experience today at Lowe’s. Needed a few specific paints and color matches. Lots of time at home during corona for jobs in the house. Shane from the paint section had some of the best customer service I’ve experienced, and Lowe’s sets the bar high. Don’t typically like to call folks out by name on reviews, but this was a positive one!

Could not find customer service representatives to help me, when I did he said he will find someone, then he came back and said, oh no one helped you? He pointed at a man and said, he could, that salesman walked away. I asked a kind gentleman shopping and he helped me. It seems they have replaced all of the knowledgeable experienced men with young men without knowledge. Ill try Home Depot next time. So sad.

The customer service rep here was the worst I have ever dealt with. A bit from a kobalt set I purchased broke and they were arguing with me that they dont sell that set and because I didnt have the original packaging they wouldnt accept a return. They even called a tool representative over to validate that they dont sell it. It was a black Friday item and I had to pull up the store item on my phone to prove to them that they did.
I just like the different pace than Home Depot has and its a lot cleaner! Home Depot is always a mess. I dont think I have ever been in a dirty Lowes!

Went in to buy a 600 vanity....it was on the floor with palletts leaning against the vanity...I agreed to take it because it was the only one in the store but because it was open and had pallets on it I should get the 10 percent discount for floor model...Linda was very rude and when I was speaking to Chris the manager she was insisting it was not a floor model and actually hung up on me!!!!! After all the thousands of dollars Ive Spent there. I told them Ill be going to home depot and They were find with it....disqusting customer service and unprofessinal manager

Placed an order tuesday waited for confirmation to pickup but 2 days later no email. Called the store multiple times only to be told hold on for a minute and ill check the status. 20 minutes later nothing. They deliberately put you on hold forever so youll just get frustrated and hang up. Unfortunately for convenience, they know theres no where else to go unless you want to travel further so they dont care!

Bought a Bosch dishwasher from Lowes in Hackettstown. It was defective. Control panel just did not respond. We got the runaround from Lowes. They had Bosch send a repairman who claimed it worked fine. Still didnt work. Tried calling Lowes, but it was an endless cycle of being bounced around from dept to dept and being placed on hold for 45 minutes. Had to actually go there to get it resolved. They made the exchange and said the delivery/installer contractor would call the next day. That was 5 days ago and no word. Try calling Lowes again and I was put on hold and bounced around and finally hung up on!!! Ive reported them to the BBB. Maybe theyll help get results. Shop elsewhere for big purchases unless you like defective products and being on hold forever.
Took back some things we didnt need, had no problem returning them. Of course, we kept the receipt as we used cash. Made it easier.

Lowes almost always seems to have what Im looking for AND theyre open during the covid-19 shelter at home orders. At least we can get the stuff we need to take care of some home improvement honey-dos!

I ordered a shower door and explained to the person that helped me the the features I needed and size. They ordered the wrong door and it was the complete opposite of what I asked for. The store then blamed me for the wrong order. They promised me the new shower door by the following Tuesday. They door has still not showed up and every time I ask they can not give me a straight answer or provide tracking. Also every time I ask to speak to a manger they come up with some tactic to avoid putting the manager on the phone. This store has given horrible customer service. You would be better off ordering online or going to Home Depot.
On a sunny, Saturday morning in Spring, I would expect paper lawn bags to be easily found. Not only were they only in the back of aisle and not near any of the other pallets of lawn products, it took asking 5 separate workers before the very nice retiree lady was able to point me to their location. This is a common item this time of year and should be in a logical place for quick pickup. Maybe even near the seed and yard tools???

The absolute worst buying experience at this Lowes!If youre looking for any type of flooring, do yourself a a big favor and look elsewhere. My wife and I bought a carpet from this store back in January 2020 and have had nothing but trouble with the purchase, the store, and the installers.Ill try to make this as short as possible. My wife and I went to Lowes in Hackettstown back in January 2020. We seen a carpet sample that we liked and purchased it. Since then, and after several visits to the store, and several phone calls to the store, the installers, and a Lowes project manager, we still do not have what we paid for. The first issue was when the installers came and installed the wrong carpet and did a sloppy job as well. Then, after everyone agreed that it was the wrong carpet, the installers came back and installed the correct carpet, but they took all the leftover carpet that we paid for. After the first install the installers left the extra carpet with us as they should have. But after the second install, they left us with nothing. We have a very light colored carpet, and if anything were to happen to it, we have nothing to repair it with. So now its been almost 6 months and my wife and I are still waiting for Lowes to do the right thing by us. Ill update this post if we ever get what we paid for.Buyer Beware!! Check the reviews!! Do not buy flooring at this store!!

Very organized, clean, and easy to maneuver. Employees were super friendly and accommodating. I went to have keys cut; everyone was so nice that - if I had had the time - I would have strolled around the entire store just to see what they have, and possibly make additional purchases. But, that is a visit for another day...
When shopping for appliances Alan and Chris were amazing. They both helped us find what was in our budget and every feature we were looking for. Thank you Alan and Chis for being so nice and helpful.
Im in NC and called Hackettstown NJ Lowes to order something for my daughter. I spoke with Anthony in the tools and garden area. He was so very helpful, answered all my questions, went to be sure item was there, explained how to order on the web and encouraged me to call back with any problems and hed walk me through the order. He was just lovely. What a great experience !!!
Best customer service (Peter - sorry, no last name) I have ever gotten from Lowes. Pete addressed all my questions regarding plumbing. From tools, piping and cupplers. Very knowledgeable staff and readily available.
So large you have to do quite a bit of walking. With that said they do have a lot of inventory for improving your home. Prices are reasonable. It is a good place to go for do it yourself home projects. However keep in that the selection if any item (e.g.shower heads) is very generic.

I had a few awful experiences with this Lowes location. I was scheduled to have an old appliance picked up and they canceled the morning of. I called the store and spoke with someone at customer service. This woman cut me off, hung up on me several times and had me on hold for over 20 minutes when I finally asked for the store manager John. Not only did he refuse to speak with me at the time, I left a message for him and he never bothered to get back to me. I called again and spoke with Sam at customer service. She was extremely kind and very understanding of my situation. She personally rescheduled a pick up of my appliance which I was thankful for. The day of the pick up came and again, they canceled it. I called the store and spoke with Sam again since she was aware of the situation and was very helpful the first time. She was apologetic and scheduled me another pick up which again was canceled. Honestly the point Im trying to make here is that whomever is running this location is doing a terrible job. A few employees whom Ive dealt with in previous visits to the store worth mentioning are Lisa and Rob in the garden center, Diandra at the front desk, and Rob in the cabinet area. This store needs a management refresh! The employees look miserable and I know from experience that it all comes down to the management!

Looking for subway tiles- found an associate & had a couple of questions- he never left his chair and only POINTED to the items/ aisle in question. Ask him about an advertised option for tile installation: there were banners hanging in the area of the boxes of tiles- he said no, theres nothing like that. Perhaps if he left his seat he might know what was going on in the store! Didnt get his name! Fortunately, a man who was doing some unloading of items found Brian for us who was much more interested in helping the customers. Thank you Brian.
The Lowes in Hackettstown, NJ has been a go to supplier for me for a few projects. Since Corporate has changed the CEO recently the store has lost its ability to give customer service to its contractors. Face it, we spend more than the homeowners. That is why the new CEO is trying to duplicate a Home Depot platform. After all he came from HD Corporate. Unfortunately they have lost sight in there vision to do so. Bottom line is there stands and you should do the same as consumer.
THIS LOWES IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! My husband and I went to two different Lowe’s in our area (Hackettstown and Flanders) and at both locations we received the worst customer service experience. At the first location (Flanders) the man in the millwork section didn’t even get up from his chair to assist us with looking at products we were interested in. At the second location (Hackettstown) we were never helped at the millwork section even after going to customer service for help and and using the pager located at the service desk. Needless to say Lowe’s may have lost my business for good. Home Depot has much better customer service!
Good for basic Larry the home owner or couples trying to bond and repaint a room. Basic hardware and tools. But if you need certain supplies for plumbing, better off going to a place that specializes in that field.
Friendly staff, decent selection on certain items. As far as atmosphere goes, its a home improvement store- expect some interesting smells, concrete floors, and tall shelves. The garden center is decent, just in my opinion they dont remove plants past their prime as often as they should.
Hackettstown location always seems to be out of stock on a lot of items plus had a few occasions already where their online inventory showed they have it in stock only to get there and find out they dont.
I usually shop at Home Depot. When they dont have what I need I go to Lowes. Basically the same stuff at the same price occasional sales at each. I truly believe that both stores are owned by the same conglomerate. They operate under two different Inc.s to avoid anti trust litigation.
Going to Lowes always is interesting. Salespeople are always friendly and very courteous. And end up being very helpful. My problem is that I check on line to see if item is available. 9 times out of 10, the item is in stock and I am given a aisle and a shelf number with the quantity in stock. Well the 30 minutes it takes for me to drive there, they seem to sell out. To make things worse, sales people say this is a on going problem.We eventually get what I am looking for, either the salesperson ordering it or traveling to another Lowes, but it does get annoying.

I ordered a dryer with next day delivery. I received no email confirmation and got no call notifying me when the delivery would be. When I called Lowe’s, they told me it would be coming the following day, which was two days after I ordered it. When they came to deliver the dryer on a Friday, they did not have the necessary vent kit that I had also purchased and said that they would be able to deliver the dryer but not install it. Once they realize that was their fault, they suddenly found an extra vent kit in the truck. They installed the dryer and left, and then I realized it was defective and didn’t heat up. I called the store and they told me they would arrange to have a new dryer delivered and would call me to confirm, and that the earliest they would be able to deliver it would be Monday. I received no call. I called the store and was told the delivery manager was not in and that another manager would call me back shortly. I never received a call back. Lowe’s lack of follow through and unprofessionalism has certainly lost them a customer.

This is the worst place i have ever visited. the staff here is extremely disrespectful and rude. me and my friends went in to check something out and this tremendously rude lady that works there started following me and my friends for no reason after we told her multiple times that we didn’t need a babysitter but she just ignored us and continued to walk with us to every single aisle. later on her co-worker tagged along with her and then me and my friends were extremely offended and just left because they are very disrespectful and have terrible staff. I tried calling to make a complaint and they just ended the call thinking we were making a joke out of all this.

We love our Lowes but we always find it hard to get help in the various departments. I feel they generally have a greater selection of items compared to Home Depot. Always check pricing, sometimes it varies greatly from HD.I like there system for veterans. I dont have to dig out my military ID card every time.
Normally its a great experience. Today there were 3 employees, walking abreast down the isle and I had to give way.....with my arms full of materials. Never got a greeting or an excuse me . Disappointing and rude.
Ordered a washer/dryer on July 7th. The original order was postponed multiple times due to inventory issues and we have now had the dryer delivered twice, dented to the point where the drum scrapes against the side of the machine and is inoperable. We cannot get any help, all we are told is that we will receive a call back which never comes. All we want is the dryer we paid for months ago so we can move on with our lives and never buy from Lowe’s again!
