We took my son to Miles of Smiles Dentistry for his first dentist appointment. The office was very clean and Dr. Melissa and her staff were very friendly and amazing with my son. He had such a great time at his first dentist appointment that he did not want to leave. We will definitely come back. Highly recommend this place!

First time there for my sons appointment, staff are absolutely wonderful.

My 3 year old just had her first visit and was a little nervous before we got there. The staff was beyond friendly and made her feel immediately more comfortable! They did an awesome job of explaining and showing her all their tools before they used them which helped a lot. Overall it was a great experience, and my daughter was so happy to get some stickers and a new toothbrush at the end - she is already excited to go back!

Thank you so much for making PJ’s first dental visit a pleasant and fun experience! He talked non stop when we got home about everything he learned. The entire staff was extremely patient and friendly.

We recently switched to Miles of Smiles and my daughter loves Dr. P. Dr. P and her staff are so friendly and great with kids. Everything from setting the appointment to the actual exam was so easy. So happy to have found this office! I’d highly recommend Miles of Smiles!

We were honestly scared that our toddler would be a monster during his first dental visit, thought we’d have to hold him down but that wasn’t the case at all! The dental staff were so great at what they do. They were able to set him at ease and were able to do the cleaning and exam without a hitch. Dr. P was so friendly and knowledgeable...learned a lot about dental care for our little one. The office is clean and bright and we felt very safe during covid time as no other patients were scheduled during our time. Definitely will come back.

I wish there was a higher rating than this for Dr. P and her staff at Miles of Smiles! We brought our son to Dr. P after a terrible experience elsewhere, and they have been so patient with him (hes not the best patient). Thank you Dr. P, Jen, Lisette and Chuy for being awesome!!

So happy to have this office locally in Gurnee, but I’d honestly drive quite some distance if needed. We have never had an easier dental exam.We gave this practice a try for our 7yr twins after a bad experience elsewhere. Both are touch sensitive and easily gag, and equated going to the dentist as a terrible experience. The receptionist and hygienist both worked to put them at ease. Once a little more relaxed they started with x-rays, which neither had been able to do before. But here the got the x-rays easily. Next was the cleaning, my more sensitive one still a tougher time, but got through with far fewer issues then normal. My less sensitive one left the chair telling how me how easy it was. The dentist was just as calming as the rest of her staff, and neither child had an issue with her exam.Cannot give them a strong enough recommendation.

I was adamant about finding a pediatric dentist for our girls first dentist visit and I am so glad that our dentist recommended Miles of Smiles to us. Both of the girls were hesitant to participate but with kindness and warmth both had great visits with no tears or worries. So thankful the first dentist visit went great and looking forward to continuing their care at Miles of Smiles Dentistry.

Dr. Melissa Patenio and the staff at Miles of Smiles were absolutely wonderful! My son is on the autism spectrum and it was his first visit, and everyone made him feel so comfortable. The assistant took her time and explained everything that she would be doing and made sure he was ok before she proceeded. This was the best experience for him and it could not have gone any better! He cant wait to go back to the dentist. They are the best!

My daughters have been patients of Dr. Melissa Patenio since they were toddlers and we have followed her to her new practice in Gurnee. The office staff is friendly and professional. My toddler can be tough but they were very patient with her and completed her cleaning efficiently. I would highly recommend this dental practice. --

Dr. Patenio is the best! Kids love her she has alot of patients and she is a great pediatric dentist.

We had such a great experience with Dr. P and Lisette. My two year olds first visit to the dentist went better than I could have dreamed thanks to the caring staff. He cant wait to go back again.

The entire staff here is great and very friendly. It is a very nice atmosphere as well. My children had a great experience with everyone.
